''TRON Deadly Discs'' is a 1982 video game based on {{Creator/Disney}}'s film ''{{Film/TRON}}'' that was developed by [[{{Creator/Mattel}} Mattel Electronics]] for the Platform/{{Atari 2600}}, the Platform/{{Intellivision}}, and the Aquarius home computer. It was re-released for the Atari 2600 as just ''Deadly Discs'' by [=TeleGames=] USA in the late 1980s when the movie license had expired, and is currently available for the Platform/{{Atari 5200}} under the title ''Intellidiscs''. It consists of Tron trying to stay alive for as long as possible while fighting against the warriors of the MCP that are sent to [[DeadlyEuphemism derez]] him in combat.

A homebrew sequel game, ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--CzF-rrxdM&fbclid=IwAR0dJihCksgLvtsVQLDWUxE52e4i7ghVnmlPElVE_vXjfFPd8k0ROialleQ TRON: Back to the Grid]]'', has been developed in 2017 but was never released.

Has nothing to do with ''Discs Of TRON'', [[Creator/MidwayGames Bally/Midway's]] sequel to the arcade game ''{{VideoGame/TRON}}''.

!!This game provides examples of
* DeadlyDisc: Tron's weapon and those of the MCP's warriors.
* DeadlyGame: Essentially what this game is, if you're familiar with the disc battle scene in ''TRON''.
* DifficultyLevels: Four.
* EndlessGame: You play until you are derezzed.
* FanRemake: ''Like*TRON Deadly Discs'' by Foxcreek Software for Windows.
* GameMod: A version of the game called ''Deadly Dogs'' is hidden in the Intellivision version of ''VideoGame/DigDug'' as an EasterEgg, changing all the warriors to [[AnthropomorphicFood hot dogs]] from ''VideoGame/BurgerTime''.
* GoodColorsEvilColors: Strangely inverted in the Intellivision version; Tron is red, while the MCP's warriors are (mostly) blue. This was due to Mattel getting an early, incorrect draft of the script. However, the color inversion makes the whole thing HarsherInHindsight due to the events in ''Film/TronLegacy''
* HitPoints: Tron has a few hit points that he can lose before he derezzes. However, [[OneHitKill touching a Recognizer or a guard is an instant game over]]. (In the Atari 2600 version, Tron changes color every time he gains or loses a hit point.)
* LagCancel: If your disc misses its target, pressing a button will cause it to return to you.
* PrecisionGuidedBoomerang: Just like in the movie, the discs return to their owners after they're thrown, unless the owner is derezzed. In the Atari 2600 version, however, only Tron's disc takes a return trip.
* ScoringPoints: For every MCP warrior derezzed, and also for disabling the Recognizer.
