Congratulations on becoming an official member of the Fazbear Funtime Service plan! Are you feeling lonely? Do you need some entertainment in your life? Well thanks to Fazbear Entertainment, you'll never have to worry about being alone again! Under this program, our state-of-the-art animatronic performers will be delivered [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou directly to your home]], providing you with an unlimited amount of [[ArcWords fun-fun-fun]] excitement! [[ParanoiaFuel There is nowhere you can hide...]] [[BaitAndSwitchComment from all the good times you are about to have with Freddy and his friends, that is!]]

Now, no new system is without the occasional glitch, and even a system as [[BlatantLies excellent]] as this one is no exception. In the interest of legal culpability, we are required to disclose that we ''have'' been getting some reports of our animatronic performers malfunctioning, with some even [[HostileAnimatronics attacking customers rather than entertaining them]]. But fear not! Your phone has been equipped with a [[ShockAndAwe controlled shock delivery system]] to neutralize any animatronics that should happen to experience this freak [[BlatantLies one-in-a-million]] error, meaning there is [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial absolutely nothing to worry about!]]

Have fun, and remember, [[ParanoiaFuel we're always watching out for you]]!

''Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery'' is an augmented reality smartphone game created by Scott Cawthon and Illumix; it is the eighth main series game in the ''Franchise/FiveNightsAtFreddys'' series and the tenth overall. As its name suggests, the game utilizes AugmentedReality in a similar style to something like ''VideoGame/PokemonGo'' to create the impression of the action taking place [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou within your own house]][[note]]or wherever you happen to be playing the game[[/note]]. The player must use their phone to detect invisible animatronics, reveal them, and stun them with an electric shock in order to protect themselves and gather parts; they can also customize their own animatronics to send to their friends and gather parts, as well as engage in minigames to collect Remnant to upgrade said animatronics.

The game was released on November 25, 2019. On March 14th, 2024, it was officially taken offline and its servers were shut down.
----
!!''Five Nights At Freddy's AR'' contains examples of:
* AbortedArc: The in-game E-mails the player receives tell the story about Fazbear entertainment attempting to deal with a virus found when they scanned the circuit boards for the animatronics and Luis attempting to help Vanessa when he noticed how her behavior was strange. Unfortunately, these story E-mails eventually stopped getting sent to the player despite multiple e-mails for these storylines actually being completed. While they were DummiedOut, these e-mails would have eventually led into the events of ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysSecurityBreach''.
* AdaptationalBadass: Balloon Boy can actually jumpscare and kill you this time (as in, the ''[[SupportPartyMember original]]'' BB from FNAF 2, not the Nightmare and Phantom variants)[[note]]''[[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysVRHelpWanted Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted]]'', in its ''The Curse of Dreadbear'' DLC, had the Trick or Treat level where BB was one of five animatronics capable of jumpscaring you (the other four being the Withered Animatronics) if you had the wrong mask when he reached the door. However, instead of modeling a new jumpscare for him, Steel Wool programmed Nightmare BB's jumpscare to play for that scenario[[/note]]. Not only that, but his small size and relatively low amount of distortion actually make him one of the more dangerous animatronics you can encounter!
* AllegedlyFreeGame: The Faz-Coins can only be purchased with real money (or won through occasional events). While it's entirely possible to play the game without spending a cent on it, purchasing Faz-Coins can serve to improve the experience in various ways, causing it to edge into this trope. Examples:
** That battery power drains very fast. While it is very possible to defeat animatronics while using the flashlight sparingly, it becomes a cakewalk with extra batteries from the shop.
** All animatronics can show up at your doorstep, but used to be random and heavily skewed in favor of the lower-ranking ones unless you're already on a high streak. Springtrap is extremely rare to be encountered without purchasing a lure to draw him up, if you have friends who have him, having them send him to you, or you use a transponder to expose every animatronic NPC that isn't any of the above on the map. By the same token, getting ''any'' animatronic to drop their plush suit or CPU is a LuckBasedMission at best, and many players simply throw in the towel and purchase said items from the store rather than grind for them.
*** However, as of the 14.0 update, the animatronics you encounter are determined by your level, and while it takes a while to level up, characters have a much more even chance to appear as others, as long as you are on the level that they are unlocked at.
** You unlock four endoskeletons in the workshop by achieving high streaks. Any further ones have to be bought with the coins.
** With the Valentine's 2020 update, free Faz-Coins are now available for watching advertisements, as in many other "free" games. It's still much faster to buy the coins, though.
* AllYourPowersCombined: Golden Freddy. He is fought in three phases, each one utilizing the previous animatronics' behavior (except for Freddy Frostbear, 8-Bit Baby, Jack-O-Animatronics, and Plushtrap) to attack you. The behavior stacks up; if he takes Mangle's behavior in the first phase, he will continue to have it in the next two phases.
* ArcWords: "[[MadnessMantra FUN FUN FUN]]" is repeated several times, from the intro cutscene to the descriptions for updates.
* AugmentedReality: Quite literally the name of the game.
* BigBadDuumvirate: Fazbear Entertainment and Springtrap. [=FazEnt=] started this whole madness by creating the Service while Springtrap is the most dangerous enemy in the game, and [[spoiler:wasn't even intended, as one e-mail proves]].
* TheBigBadWolf: Foxy's skin for the Scary Tales event is modeled after the Big Bad Wolf.
* BossGame: A type 1 in which the majority of the game has you fighting these animatronics with each having some different traits on how they're encountered.
* BossInMookClothing: The higher animatronics, like Springtrap, who is the single hardest animatronic to deal with in this game, can attack you just as unassumingly as a regular Endoskeleton. Unless they are lured or sent by friends, you won't know them until you have allowed them inside. Even more literally, it's possible for players to equip Springtrap's CPU to a bare endoskeleton or another easy animatronic, meaning that the unwitting friend who receives it might not realize it's the hardest animatronic in the game until it's too late. It’s even worse in the case of sending an easy animatronic with Golden Freddy’s CPU.
* BreatherEpisode: The lore this time is simply delivered daily through the in-game email system. No longer do you have to complete the hardest challenges or find secret minigames to get the lore. Said lore has TwoLinesNoWaiting, at that. One set of e-mails details a bureaucratic muddle being navigated by an employee trying to get the animatronics open — oh, dear — while another is a series of e-mails from the company's webmaster to "Ness", the person who got the company the job of distributing animatronics. This second line is a CallBack to the "Shadow of Vanny" teaser on Scott's website, given that "Ness" is short for "Vanessa" as well as the WhamLine in one e-mail:
-->'''Admin:''' Have you tried searching for 'help' by itself?
* BribingYourWayToVictory: Rather than collecting endoskeletons and suits by defeating animatronics, you can buy them with Faz-Coins, which in turn are bought with real money.
* TheBusCameBack:
** If you suck up too much dark Remnant at once, you'll find yourself at the mercy of [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys2 Shadow Bonnie]].
** [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys1 Golden Freddy]] returns after being absent in ''Help Wanted'', using the majority of the strategies in the game at that point to combat the player.
* ButThouMust: When given the choice to select if you want the Funtime (or rather, Eternal) Package, no matter which option you select, the game acts as if you selected "yes".
* TheCameo: The release trailer features an appearance by a live-action WebVideo/{{Markiplier}} (most likely because of his extensive association with the series) as the narrator of the commercial for the Fazbear Funtime Service.
* CerebusSyndrome: The skins at the start aren't necessarily scary and more light-hearted, like Freddy dressed for St. Patrick’s Day with a firework, Bonnie as a chocolate or Easter bunny, Chica dressed as the Statue of Liberty, or the toy animatronics being video game themed. Later events, however, brought in skins that not only looked more menacing, like the Valentines Day or Heatwave skins, but some look more like [[AmbiguousRobots actual monsters than animatronics]], such as the Wicked Tides and Forest skins. Balloon Boy especially manages to get some skins that [[HumanoidAbomination only vaguely resemble the animatronic boy.]]
* CircusEpisode: The Dark Circus event, which gives circus-themed skins for Foxy, Mangle, Springtrap, and Golden Freddy, alongside bringing in [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysSisterLocation Ballora]].
* ClockworkCreature: Clockwork Ballora.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Shadow Bonnie is, by all appearances, less a traditional animatronic and more some kind of EldritchAbomination created from an accumulation of dark Remnant. Doesn't stop you from being perfectly able to defeat him with [[WeaksauceWeakness a flashlight]]. Of course, trying that on higher streaks [[DoNotTauntCthulhu is just asking for trouble]]…
* DittoFighter: Golden Freddy will randomly assume one of the previous animatronics' behavior when you face him.
* DressingAsTheEnemy: The Freddy Fazbear mask from ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys2'' returns with the Toy Chica update and is used to deter the Toy animatronics, such as her, Toy Bonnie, Toy Freddy, and Mangle.
** When Toy Chica and and Toy Freddy go haywire, ''don't'' look away, but instead put on the mask and stare at them until they are gone. Additionally, whenever Toy Freddy saps your battery power, putting on the mask will stop him.
** As for Toy Bonnie, his behavior is a bit like Springtrap's: if his eyes are red, simply look away, but if they are white, put on the mask and stare at him until the eyes turn red, before looking away.
** Finally, for Mangle, if it goes haywire, put on the mask before turning away. You also have to put on the mask if it is charging at you; standing still is not sufficient.
* EasterBunny: [[{{Pun}} Easter Bonnie]], a reskinned Bonnie added on April 16th, 2020. Chocolate Bonnie, added a few days earlier, and Melted Chocolate Bonnie added the following year, may also count.
* EnergyAbsorption: Toy Freddy will drain the battery power every once in a while. Putting on the Freddy mask will stop him.
* ForDoomTheBellTolls: Shadow Bonnie's appearance is heralded by a peculiar chime.[[note]]It's the normal alarm bell slowed down.[[/note]]
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: After years of the animatronics being confined to pizzerias and horror attractions, [[note]]''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4'' being the ([[AmbiguousSituation possible]]) exception[[/note]] they are now actively on the way to your own home, Fazbear Entertainment oblivious to their hostility.
* GameOverMan: The disappointed "Awwww!" sound from the kids during the "You Lost" screen. However, if the animatronic that killed you has dialogue for the "You Lost" screen, they will not hesitate to make a comment. Balloon Boy even gives off his signature laugh if he kills you.
* GottaCatchThemAll:
** Defeating Mangle is a more complicated affair than the others. Rather than waiting until it decloaks, the player must find its parts scattered around the environment, which will eventually cause Mangle to decloak.
** Ballora is similarly deterred by finding Minireenas in the area.
* HalloweenEpisode: For October 2020, [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4 Jack-O-Chica, Jack-O-Bonnie, and Plushtrap]], plus a Day of the Dead themed reskin of Toy Chica, were added to the game.
* HolidayEpisode: So far, new things have been added to celebrate these holidays:
** For Christmas 2019, Freddy Frostbear was added and the interface of the map includes snow falling and Christmas decorations. For Christmas 2020, four Winter skins for existing animatronics (one of whom is of the aforementioned Freddy Frostbear) are added.
** For Valentine's Day 2020, Toy Freddy was added and the interface of the map was recolored pink and decorated by hearts. For Valentine's Day 2021, two skins were added in for Bonnie and Baby.
** For Saint Patrick's Day 2020, the Shamrock Skin for Freddy was added.
** For Easter 2020, the Chocolate and Easter Skins for Bonnie were added. Another skin for Bonnie, Melted Chocolate Bonnie, arrived for Easter 2021.
** In the two weeks before the [[UsefulNotes/AmericanHolidays Fourth of July]] 2020, Firework Freddy and Liberty Chica were added.
** To celebrate Day of the Dead 2020, Catrina Toy Chica was added. She represents La Catrina, a female skeleton ({{Calacas}}) which symbolizes the festival in Mexico.
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: PlayedForLaughs: it's entirely possible — and even encouraged by the game — to send custom-designed animatronics to your friends' houses in order to jumpscare them, ending their streak and stealing resources from them.
* AnIcePerson: The Winter Animatronics (Freddy Frostbear, Black Ice Frostbear, Arctic Ballora, Frostbite Balloon Boy, and Frost Plushtrap).
* InterfaceScrew:
** Other than the multitude of visual glitches, absorbing Dark Remnant will cause them to cloud the screen. The more you absorb them, the darker the screen gets, until eventually, Shadow Bonnie shows up to hunt you down.
** When you face Ballora, Minireenas will begin climbing into the screen, requiring you to shake it off once in a while.
* InvisibleMonsters: The animatronics haunt you with their "cloak" turned on, which means you can't harm them with the electric shocks. However, they will be decloaked after a while, which is when you can use the shocks to incapacitate them. Note that they have to be gunning for you; if you shock them while they are standing still (referred to as "haywiring"), you're dead.
* IronicEcho: Some of the animatronics' killquotes are borrowed from ''VideoGame/UltimateCustomNight'', with different characters saying them this time. Most worryingly, Springtrap uses some of the more threatening lines on you. But Springtrap is Afton, and ''UCN'' was supposedly about the animatronics using these lines while attacking ''him''.
* JumpScare: Wouldn't be ''FNAF'' without it.
* LittleDeadRidingHood: Chica's skin for the Scary Tales event is modeled after the Little Red Riding Hood.
* {{Mook|s}}: The Endoskeleton is the easiest animatronic to defeat, the first you get after keeping a streak, and the one that gives the least reward.
* {{Mayincatec}}: The Ancient Equinox event gave two Mesoamerican-themed skins for Mangle and Springtrap: Serpent Mangle and The Curse, respectively.
* MythologyGag: Characters have a variety of different lines that reference bits and pieces of the franchise history, but Funtime Freddy in particular is the first one to breach the barrier of the games, paraphrasing a few lines from his counterpart in "[[Literature/FiveNightsAtFreddysFazbearFrights Count the Ways]]".
--> '''Funtime Freddy''': There's nothing I want from you... except your ''life''!
* NuclearMutant: The Wasteland skins for Foxy and Springtrap.
* OminousVisualGlitch:
** Whenever the animatronics are approaching you, your phone screen will begin to glitch out; this is actually the only way to detect the invisible animatronics before they reveal themselves.
** In a few cases, the screen might turn ''too'' glitchy, so tracking the animatronics becomes impossible. To circumvent this, shake the screen.
* PaletteSwap:
** Freddy Frostbear and the jack-o'-lantern animatronics have the same behavior as their ordinary counterparts. The only difference is that when the screen glitches, instead of static, frost and smoke, respectively, will cover the screen, but the method to clear it (shake the screen) is still the same. Freddy Frostbear also doesn't speak, unlike Freddy Fazbear, and while Bonnie's only sounds were footsteps and groans, Jack-O-Bonnie is ''completely silent''; likewise, while Chica similarly only made footsteps and groans, Jack-O-Chica can also speak (much like in ''VideoGame/UltimateCustomNight'').
** The Holiday Animatronics (Shamrock Freddy, Easter Bonnie, Firework Freddy, Liberty Chica, Catrina Toy Chica, Heartsick Baby, Black Heart Bonnie, and Melted Chocolate Bonnie), the first three Arcade Mayhem skins (VR Toy Freddy, Highscore Toy Chica, and System Error Toy Bonnie), and the Wasteland (Radioactive Foxy and Toxic Springtrap), Heatwave (Flamethrower Bare Endo, Broiler Baby, Scorching Chica, and Flaming Springtrap), Circus (Ringmaster Foxy, Magician Mangle, Clown Springtrap, and Great Escape Golden Freddy), Forest (Woodland Toy Freddy, Boulder Toy Bonnie, and Swamp Balloon Boy), Winter (Black Ice Frostbear, Arctic Ballora, Frostbite Balloon Boy, and Frost Plushtrap), Aztec (Serpent Mangle and The Curse), Chocolate (the original and Melted Chocolate Bonnies), Scary Tale (Little Red Chica and Big Bad Foxy), Wicked Tides (Dark Water Endo, Sunken Toy Bonnie, and Piranha Plushtrap), and Screampunk Animatronics (Clockwork Ballora, Aeronaut Toy Freddy, and Jetpack Balloon Boy) are quite literally reskinned versions of existing characters, and they don't have anything to distinguish them in terms of gameplay, unlike Freddy Frostbear. Averted with the last Arcade Mayhem skin, 8-Bit Baby, who has her own CPU and has some differences in behavior compared to Circus Baby.
* PlantPerson: Woodland Toy Freddy, Boulder Toy Bonnie, and Swamp Balloon Boy.
* PlayerDataSharing: Players can send their animatronics to scavenge parts and attack friends, potentially breaking their streak.
* PiranhaProblem: The aptly-named Piranha Plushtrap.
* PiratesVsNinjas: Implied in one of Foxy's kill quotes:
-->'''Foxy:''' Good thing for me that ye were no ninja.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: This plays into the behavior of Springtrap and Toy Bonnie. When both go into haywire, they may either sport red or white glowing eyes. If they are the former, you have to look away, while if they are latter, stare at them until they turn red, then look away (in the case of Toy Bonnie, you also have to put on the Freddy mask while staring at him).
* SchmuckBait: Did you think you could boost your streak by fighting Shadow Bonnie repeatedly, since he's easy to summon and not particularly hard to beat once you know his strategy? Too bad he gets harder the higher your streak is and the more he's summoned.
* SequentialBoss: Funtime Freddy is practically made up of two encounters: one with himself, and one with Bon-Bon. Defeating the former will prompt you to face the latter. Take too long to beat him, and he will reactivate Funtime Freddy, restarting the encounter all over again.
* SoundtrackDissonance: When 8-Bit Baby attacks you, the upbeat "Turtle Crusher" from ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysSisterLocation'' will play in the background.
* SpellMyNameWithAThe: The Curse, an Aztec skin for Springtrap added on March 5, 2021, is so far the only skin to have its own unique name.
* {{Steampunk}}: The Screampunk animatronics are modeled after this aesthetic. These include Clockwork Ballora, Aeronaut Toy Freddy, and Jetpack Balloon Boy.
* StoryBreadcrumbs: Rather than being told through the gameplay, the story of this game is delivered through in-game emails which the player receives by "accident", exposing them to some information that people outside the company weren't supposed to see. These emails include both ongoing stories (one involving the various legal issues arising with the company manufacturing the animatronics, and another involving a system admin named Luis investigating his colleague Ness's search history) and more episodic snippets (such as a series of short emails leading up to the release of Freddy Frostbear, a winter-themed PaletteSwap of Freddy).
* SuddenlyVoiced: Freddy Fazbear and Springtrap (in his ''[=FNaF=] 3'' design) are now given their own set of fully-voiced dialogue, including killquotes heard when they manage to kill the player[[note]]Freddy had spoken in ''FNAF VR'' before, but only in the unused Freddy Fazbear's Theme, courtesy of Creator/KellenGoff, this appearance uses a different actor than him. Meanwhile, Springtrap has P. J. Heywood, who voiced William Afton's cameo in ''Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location'' and the ''VideoGame/FreddyFazbearsPizzeriaSimulator'' version of Springtrap (named [[ComicBookMoviesDontUseCodenames William Afton]]), reprising the role, albeit this time as ''[[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys3 FNAF3]]'' Springtrap[[/note]]. As of a recent update, newcomer Toy Bonnie finally speaks for the first time since his status in ''VideoGame/UltimateCustomNight'' as TheVoiceless, now given a high-pitched, chipmunk-like voice and a [[{{Narcissist}} self-centered]] personality. Mangle's second head also talks for the first time, speaking in a similar VoiceOfTheLegion with a male voice as the dominant one, in contrast to the Mangle's dominant female voice.
* TimedMission: When facing Mangle, the player will be prompted to find its animatronic parts within a time limit.
* TreacherousAdvisor: Whatever is going on at Fazbear Entertainment, it can be safe to say that you're not going to be getting any real assistance from them regarding the murderous animatronics coming after you.
* TronLines: VR Toy Freddy, Highscore Toy Chica, and System Error Toy Bonnie glow a bright LED color (purple, blue, and red, respectively).
* ViralUnlockable: You had a chance at unlocking a character's skin if you successfully fended off the animatronic that a friend with that skin sent to attack you.
* VoodooShark: The game's explanation for how you're able to change the appearance of the endoskeletons you send out is that said endoskeletons can be fitted with plush suits dropped by the animatronics; this would imply that all the animatronics share a similar endoskeleton that can fit all the suits. Unfortunately, this fails to explain how the endoskeleton can fit into the plush suit for Balloon Boy, whose small size is not only a distinguishing aspect of the character but also ''a core part of his gameplay mechanics''.
* WeakenedByTheLight: Shadow Bonnie is deterred by flashing him with the flashlight.
* WreathedInFlames: The Heatwave skins for the Bare Endoskeleton, Circus Baby, Chica, and Springtrap.
