3	In the year 1969 a nuclear war devastated earth and left it as a nuclear wasteland, ridden with monsters. Now, one month later in Brussles, three unlikely heroes, consisting of Captain Atom, a self proclaimed superhero who wants to rebuild the world; Seargent Hulker, a communist hating soldier; and Doctor Ingstrøm, a germophobe, come together to form a team to do good in the world.

6	* TwentyFourHourArmor: Played straight with Captain Atom and Hulker, as they wear their armour at all time; averted with Ingstrøm, as he removes his hazmat suit at least once in the game, but this happens behind a viewscreen.
7	* AfterTheEnd: The story is set after a nuclear war which devastated Earth and is sort of a parody of Fallout with elements of Mad Max.
8	* ADayInTheLimelight: Episode 2 is this for Doctor Ingstrøm. It starts out with showing how he survived the nuclear blast and this episode's story revolves mainly about him and his place in the team.
9	* BigBad: The person who seems to be build up as the BigBad of this game, as of episode 2, seems to be an expy of Doctor Claw.
10	* BoomHeadshot: [[spoiler: Doctor Ingstrøm gets shot in the head while playing on the Piano in the end of episode 2, blood sprays all over the piano.]]
11	* DueToTheDead: The League gives [[spoiler: Ingstrøm]] a surprisingly sombre funeral at the beginning of the third episode.
12	* DrillSergeantNasty: Seargant Hulker was this to his recruits before the war, it got to the point where his superiors decided to reassign him to a remote Bunker.
13	* EpisodicGame: This is realtrolls first episodic game. So far 2 of 6 episodes have been released and the Beta Test for episode 3 has already been announced.
14	* TheFaceless: As Ingstrøm is a germophobe, he wears his Hazmat suit and Gasmask at all times while on screen, so that his whole body is completely shut off from the environment.
15	* HiddenDepths: Ingstrøm is, while being somewhat of a jerk and a germophobe, a masterful pianist who can fill his team members with a deep feeling of joy and persuades them that he is still important to the team immediately when they hear him play for the first time.
16	* TheIdealist: Captain Atom is this, as he firmly believes that the broken world they live in can somehow be returned to its former state or at least repaired in some other way.
17	* IdiotHero: Captain Atom really isn't the brightest bulb and his plans are usually very simple. What gives him the power to succeed are his determination and sheer never-ending optimism. On the other hand he can have his moments.
18	* MoodWhiplash: Lighter examples of this trope crop up here and there, but the by far most extreme example happens while [[spoiler: Ingstrøm plays on the Piano, which is the most heartwarming scene in the game so far, but then Ingstrøm gets killed by a headshot.]]
19	* ReassignedToAntarctica: Hulker was reassigned to a remote bunker near Brussels because of how harsh his training methods were.
20	* SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism: More on the cynical side of things. While the Heroes can make some progress, save a few people and even managed do defeat [[spoiler:the king of Belgium]] without any violence and seemingly learn a valuable lesson here, the entire world is in ruins, people became either monsters or simply horrible human beings. Then again only 2 of 6 episodes of the game have been released so far, so things could change.
21	* TeethClenchedTeamwork: While Ingstrøm and Hulker work reasonably well with Captain Atom, they utterly despise each other and constantly argue with each other. While Hulker is paranoid and TriggerHappy, Ingstrøm prefers to talk things out and prefers peace in general.
22	* TroubledBackstoryFlashback: In episode 2 there is a scene in the cinema, if you watch a movie, Captain Atom has a flashback to him and his Girlfriend/Wife having a conversation and are obviously in a happy relationship, but then the bombs start dropping...
23	* WhamShot: [[spoiler: Almost literally. Ingstrøm's death via headshot is this.]]
