In the land of Clardona, two races are in constant conflict over the land and its spirits, the humans, and the beast-like Kascuza. Though the war has yet to fully cease, an interrim of peace can be found on the tiny island of Jarazi. Here begins the story of the main duo, Reiha, a human girl with spiritual powers, and Aldo, a Summon Beast she summoned seven years prior. They have lived here for as long as they can remember, about to set out and complete their coming of age ceremony.

!!Tropes Used:
* ArtificialStupidity: The partner AI doesn't know how to avoid spikes and poison pools. You must lead them away from those areas.
* ColorCodedElements: The five elements, Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Sky, are yellow, green, red, blue, and purple respectively.
* DifficultyByRegion: Non-Japanese versions of the game start Aldo and Reiha with boosted money, skill points, items, and pre-learned high-ranked skills.
* FantasticRacism: Humans are described to generally look down on the Kascuza. Additionally, Nassau isn't very friendly to most of the humans he meets.
* GuideDangIt: The game never mentions tells you that characters are invincible while they are casting. Leading many players to wonder why none of their attacks are able to damage bosses that can cast skills.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: For the most part, the guys are melee fighters, while the girls focus on ranged attacks or magic. Lila is an exception though, fighting with a spear and some magic. The protagonists make this clear when selecting the lead, with Aldo being skilled with melee attacks, and Reiha being skilled with magic.
* HelloInsertNameHere: Both protagonists can be renamed, though doing so would remove their name plate in their dialogue bubbles.
* HumansAreBastards: What with the capturing and exploiting of Summon Creatures and all.
* LikeBrotherAndSister: Aldo and Reiha, despite him being a Summon Creature summoned by her. However, they ''were'' raised as brother and sister for the past seven years. Can be subverted to NotBloodSiblings depending on the ending you get (and how you interpret them).
* LittleBitBeastly: The Kascuza have animal-like tails. Most humans call them demi-beasts, a name Ayn and Nessau are not fond of.
* RelationshipValues: Every character besides the main character has a support rank measuring this. At the end of the game, this determines the ending you'll receive.
* TechTree: This is how the protagonists learn their skills, accruing skill points to unlock and strengthen them. The skills have a level cap, however, requiring scrolls to power them up beyond the cap.
