''[[http://www.slapcity.se/ Slap City]]'' is a PlatformFighter created by Creator/{{Ludosity}}.

The game is a MassiveMultiplayerCrossover for many of Ludosity's games, featuring several of their characters, both playable and as [=NPCs=].

!! Playable Characters
* ''VideoGame/IttleDew1'': Ittle Dew, Masked Ruby, Jenny Fox
* ''VideoGame/SpaceHunk'': Ultra Fishbunjin 3000
* ''VideoGame/PrincessRemedy'': Princess Remedy, Frallan
* ''VideoGame/CardCityNights'': Business Casual Man
* ''VideoGame/HyperPrincessPitch'': Goddess of Explosions
* ''VideoGame/{{Iji}}'': Asha
* ''[[VideoGame/HeroCore Hero]]'': Cruiser Tetron
* ''Healthy Weapon'': Orka

After first being launched on March 2018 in Early Access, ''Slap City'' finally reached version 1.0 in September 2020. In September 2022, a UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch version was released, alongside version 1.1.

----
!! ''Slap City'' contains examples of:
* AndShowItToYou: Ittle's attack on a grabbed opponent consists in ripping their heart out and eating it.
* AntiMutiny: [[spoiler:Happens to Asha in his story mode. Turns out, ''General Tor himself'' actually authorized Asha's troops to mutiny and even perform Alpha Strikes against him due to how utterly hated the Assassin is among his peers]].
* AutobotsRockOut: Stages like Summit or Mecha Santa's Fortress use rock music.
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: Space Planet Earth stage takes place in space, but none of the characters are affected by it.
* BrutalBonusLevel: The [[AlliterativeName Omega Oblivion of Obliteration]], the secret level in each character's story modes. It requires absolute mastery of the game's platforming potential, pushing what the mechanics are capable of to the limit.
* TheCameo: Apathetic Frog has a chance to be one of the planets that Goddess of Explosions uses in her Up Special.
* CarFu: In some stages, cars or freight cars appear. They can damage combatants. And they are completely indestructible.
* ChromeChampion:
** In arcade mode, one of matches send you an opponent with golden color. They are slow, but very heavy.
** Story mode introduces chrome-colored invincible mooks in later stages.
* {{Crossover}}: This game uses many characters, locations, and things from Creator/{{Ludosity}} and Creator/DanielRemar's past games.
* CutLexLuthorACheck: The BigBad of story mode is a MadScientist who wants to [[spoiler:stun the whole planet to rob banks]]. In Asha's story mode, he simply [[spoiler:sells his tech to General Tor]] instead. That said, [[spoiler:General Tor still asks Major Kiwi to deal with Asha anyway, setting up the FinalBoss]].
* DeathFromAbove: In D.C.M.F.P.R. Facility stage, a wave of {{Alpha Strike}}s hits the stage periodically.
* DifficultButAwesome: Clutching is this. By holding left bumper, your character can "clutch" some of their moves, giving them different properties. For example, most moves give momentum in the opposite direction, allowing you to reverse your momentum mid-air instantly. Lots of the higher level play and techniques your characters can do are limited to clutching, and knowing when to use it opens up a lot of depth for even the simplest of characters.
* DoubleJump: Every character can do this, but Masked Ruby can ''triple'' jump.
* EasterEgg: Like in many other of Daniel Remar's games, reallyjoel's dad is a selectable AI difficulty. It also has an equivalent, [[NamesToRunAwayFromVeryFast Devil Insane mode]] for Classic mode and Smack the Crystals. [[spoiler: To do this, you have to select the highest difficulty level, then repeatedly press the right button, aka the one that would increase the difficulty.]]
** Every character has a set of secret moves, with a scroll in their story mode showing how to do them. [[CompetitiveBalance For the sake of balance]], all of them either don't do damage or are nigh-impossible to use in a real match.
* FixedFloorFighting: Temple of Null stage is this. This stage only has one medium-sized platform.
* FreeFloorFighting: Most stages have multiple platforms.
* FloatingContinent: The Saturnian Palace is a beautiful castle orbiting Saturn.
* GuideDangIt: One of the optional puzzles in Asha's story mode was difficult enough that it was changed in a patch due to people being dumbfounded by it. It required [[spoiler:using one of Asha's secret moves that lets them throw Jums or Bemp which, despite not interacting with opponents at all, does still have a hitbox and can activate switches used in story mode.]]
* HatedByAll: Asha is hated by just about every other member of the Komato Imperial Army. Their hatred for him runs so great that [[spoiler:[[SlaveToPR General Tor]] has no choice but to permit a mutiny]].
* HelicopterBlender: The Public Transit stage has a helicopter, and touching its rotors will hurt you.
* LethalLavaLand: Fire Zone stage, somewhat self explanatory.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter:
** Business Casual Man. He can earn money from attacking opponents with some of his attacks, and money can be used to buff his strong attacks.
** Asha. Unlike other characters, he has only one special move, Teleport. And doing it consumes a teleport charge. He can recharge teleport charges faster by hitting enemies, or receiving attacks from them.
* MeteorMove: Many characters have moves that launch the target downward.
* NoOSHACompliance: Turnip Corp stage has several laser emitters in the entrance. It will be activated periodically.
* OverlyLongGag: Keep charging Ultra Fishbunjin 3000's down-special and he'll sit there for upwards to a minute as it keeps going, and going, and going, the effects getting more intense to the point that it looks like a small galaxy forming around his fist. [[spoiler:If he maxes it out, it's basically a guaranteed K.O. against everyone on the stage regardless of where they are.]]
** Goddess of Explosions can do a similar thing by pressing the Taunt Button while grabbing someone or holding taunt when performing a fully-charged side strong. It takes about as long as the above, but it will likely be an instant kill.
* PinballProjectile: Projectiles like Fishbunjin's dumbbell or The Goddess of Explosions's fireball ricochet off of walls or floors.
* PinballZone: Bumpertown stage. Bumpers are capable to knock over fighters and deal some damage.
* {{Retraux}}:
** In arcade mode, you will fight against clone hordes in a version of the Fluffy Fields stage with N64-esque graphics.
** Hurtland stage uses 8-bit visuals like [[VideoGame/PrincessRemedyInAWorldOfHurt the game it originally appeared in]].
** The ''VideoGame/PrincessRemedy'' characters and Cruiser Tetron have alternate colors based on their original 8-bit sprites.
* ShoutOut:
** ''VideoGame/FridayThe13th'': In arcade mode's game over screen, the game will state "You and your score are dead".
** ''VideoGame/MarioKart8'': One of the online lobby messages is "I'm using tilt controls!".
* SidelinedProtagonistCrossover: Unlike most other Platform Fighters with their All-Star focus, only two of the current 11 characters are the main protagonist of their games, Ittle Dew and Princess Remedy.
** ''Iji'' is represented by the antagonistic rival Asha.
** ''Hyper Princess Pitch'' is represented by the protagonist's mother, the Goddess of Explosions.
** ''Card City Nights'' is represented by reoccurring joke character Business Casual Man.
** ''Hero'' is represented by the Big Bad Cruiser Tetron.
** ''Healthy Weapon'' is represented by Orka, one of the many fighters available.
* SignpostTutorial: The first level of story mode has signs explaining how to double-jump, etc.
* SNKBoss: The final boss of Arcade mode becomes this in insane difficulty. They become really fast, damage and knockback from their attacks are doubled, and they also gain an orbiting fireball that can easily kill a player.
* StoryAndGameplayIntegration: What appears to be a pair of oddly vibrating statues in the City arena are actually two mighty warriors who've gotten each other stuck in an infinite hitstun loop.
* SwordLines: Attacks with bladed weapons usually draw sword lines. Attacks from Asha make very noticeable lines, because he uses long red-colored LaserBlade.
* SyntheticVoiceActor: The Main menu theme is sung by a Music/{{Vocaloid}}.
* TraintopBattle: Public transit stage. Fighters fight on top of a bus and other cars.
* UnwinnableJokeGame:
** The reallyjoel's dad difficulty returns and grants any computer player set to it has insane speed and knockback, turning every hit into either an instant KO or infinite combo.
** Arcade mode has Devil Insane difficulty, and this will have ''all of enemies you will fight against'' on reallyjoel's dad difficulty. Unwinnable, indeed.
* VictoryPose: Characters have their own victory/defeat pose, and they do it in the result screen. Most defeat poses are rather pitiable.
* VictoryQuote: The winner will say it in the results screen.
* VillainProtagonist: Business Casual Man and Asha in their respective story modes. BCM utterly destroys Slap City in his quest for short-term profits, [[spoiler:to the point where even [[BigBad Major Kiwi]] tries to stop him]], and Asha is this by default considering he's an assassin for TheEmpire (and a very hated assassin at that).
* WombLevel: Healing Mode stage. This stage has some bones, teeth, and weird organic things, and a hostile demonic hand:
--> '''Stage description:''' Don't ask.
