->''"Crown of Shadows is the long awaited sequel of Adventure Forward 2, featuring new worlds in a style never seen before, created by an ex-developer of the original series. Each world is populated with fun and interesting characters to develop a story following the events of Celesteal's death."''
-->-- The demo game's description

The third game in the Platform/{{Roblox}} original Adventure Forward series and a direct sequel to ''[[VideoGame/AdventureForward2PointsOfConflict Adventure Forward 2: Points Of Conflict]]'', Adventure Forward: Crown of Shadows was developed by [=SirRovers=], who took up the role of the game's creator after [[RoleEndingMisdemeanor the original creator, [=Explode1=]'s, termination from ROBLOX.]] The demo (Which was only able to be temporarily played until February 1st) was released on Christmas Eve (December 24) 2020.

More than a year has passed since the second Star Savior had defeated Celesteal, freeing the Points from their fates under their control and giving them the chance to live their own lives. Peace has been prevalent in the Sky Sanctuary... Until Anshine and Stratosfear encounter an odd door behind which a being had managed to sneak into the Sky Emporium. When the Star Savior arrives to help, the door blasts open. Voixer is revealed to have survived erasing himself from the previous game's true ending due to Celesteal's death, and intends to finish what he started, destroying the Sky Emporium in the process, and leaving the second Star Savior, Anshine, and the other Points to fall into the various pocket dimension worlds that Celesteal had created in the past.

Thus, another new adventure begins...

On October 14, 2021, it was [[https://twitter.com/SirRovers/status/1448648916291842055?s=20 announced that the game was going to be rebranded]] to a new series called "''Stars Align''", thus detaching the game from the Adventure Forward series. The debut trailer can be viewed [[https://youtu.be/ZazfXDVcAYk here]], and the game is set to be released in 2022.

''Please note that the following tropes are based on the original Adventure Forward: Crown of Shadows demo, and the page is heavily subject to change for Stars Align's release.''

!!This game provides examples of:

* AnAssKickingChristmas: When the demo was released on Christmas Eve, it came with the Sky Sanctuary lobby being decorated for the holiday. The game even wishes us, the second Star Savior, a happy holidays as well when they complete the demo.
* DownerBeginning: The game BEGINS with Voixer returning with a declaration to wipe everyone out of existence to finish what Celesteal started, [[CurbStompBattle stopping Stratosfear's attempt to fight against him in a matter of seconds]], and [[TrashTheSet DECIMATING the Sky Emporium and sending it into the void]], [[PartyScattering scattering the second Star Savior and the other Points across various other worlds]], with the [[AmbiguousSituation fates of all the Points aside from Anshine unknown]] at the time of the demo.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: YES. Almost every big reveal in Adventure Forward 2 is pointed out here.
** The game points out that Stratosfear is the original Star Savior having been transformed by Celesteal.
** Voixer, a hidden character in [=AF2=] that required you to get all 55 stars in [=AF2=], is the main antagonist of this game.
** Along with Voixer, Yawgate, Pasless, and Morward are all present in the Sky Sanctuary.
* NotQuiteDead: Despite having erased himself from existence in the previous game, Voixer is still alive... apparently because Celesteal's death left him with no choice but to stay alive. And to say he's ticked off about being forced to live a paradoxical existence as a person representing nothingness is quite an Understatement.
* PowerUp: Old and new ones are coming to the game. These are used to create a variety of challenges compared to the previous two games.
** Boost Bomb: When grabbed a countdown will start that upon reaching 0, creates an explosion that launches you high up into the air. Useful for reaching extremely high places but a few instances have you reaching a safe destination before the countdown is over, and don't forget where you land!
** Dash Pepper: Grants SuperSpeed when grabbed as well as enabling you to jump long distances and climb certain surfaces. This power up usually signals an area where speed is of the essence, and that you need decent obby skills while under its effects.
* SchmuckBait: When headed to Tick Tock Castle, you're greeted with a Star at the entrance with a ton of arrows pointing to it. Attempting to grab it... leads to you dropping through the floor and being sent to the Chronic Stronghold. Though [[ButThouMust you are required to fall for this trick]] in order to obtain the ''No Fun in the Dungeon'' star.
* ShoutOut: When a Timeling is distracting one of King Chrono's guards, they're performing the dance from VideoGame/ClubPenguin in order to do so.
* StealthBasedMission: When getting into King Chrono's castle to confront him, the player has to avoid being spotted by his guards, otherwise they'll be detained and sent back to the last checkpoint they reached.
* TheBusCameBack: The forcefield power up returns after being absent from the previous game.
----
-->And thank you, the player.
-->Happy Holidays, Star Savior.
