Assalamualaikum! [[note]]May peace be upon you![[/note]] 👋 Welcome to my page; I hope you have a fantastic day, whoever you are.

I made my account in 2020 [[YouKnowThatShow to rediscover works that I only had vague memories of]], then I started exploring and got hooked to the site as a result. I realised that I really like troping because I can write about the media I treasure as they are. I see it as a way of both spreading the word and preserving knowledge of them. I found my bearings in the Forum Games, but I gradually phased into favoring the more formal left-side forums and polishing the wiki. I like dabbling in a bit of everything; where I haven't been is probably where I intend to break ground someday, though at a casual rate that works with my offline life. TLDR: I'm an [[JustForFun/TroperTypes Eclectic Troper]].

I used to consider myself as "multifandom" as I grew up in a time where fan communities based around media were easily accessible (a relatively recent development), so I thought liking a work was synonymous to being in its fandom. But it's easy to get lost in the sea of ideas and content (and sustain some mental damage) even as a bystander; I was just floundering when it came to creatively making tributes to media. That's why I consider troping as my favourite way of paying tribute to the works I like instead. I prefer that I contribute to a presentable page that explains what the subject I enjoy is rather than pressure myself to make yet another piece to a growing pile. No hate to those that enjoy making fan-content though, crafting new ideas from existing media - at times by collaborating with people you first know of from behind a screen - is very impressive -- but that life just isn't for me.

While some experience JustForFun/TVTropesAsAGatewayDrug, this site has eventually led to having the opposite effect on me instead. Yes, there are works I first knew of from here, but being an eager contributor [[JustForFun/TVTropesWillRuinYourLife compels me to trope whatever media I happen to get invested in]], so sometimes I avoid the source of compulsion entirely. Adulthood responsibilities also lead me to spend less time delving into media, which I've gradually come to terms with. I try to restrict my usage of this site to when my tasks of the day are finished. Ideally, I do minor cleanup (like wick cleaning) on weekdays and dig into bigger projects (like work pages, TLP drafts, and more) in the weekends, if time allows.

I removed my self-troping examples because tropes are fictional conventions (and I may have revealed too much). You can have an overview of what I do (and have done) as a contributor, a selected list of the works I like, and some other things - depending on what I want to put here.
----
[[foldercontrol]]
[[folder:Quotes that I like, not an exhaustive list]]
Most of these serve as reminders, because we need to be reminded every now and again. Some of these were at the top of my troper page until I found another one more impactful/inspirationally fitting for myself at the time. Others were in this folder from the get-go.

-> Ibn Al-Qayyim noted that the entire [[UsefulNotes/{{Islam}} religion]] consists of the ability to distinguish. This is why Literature/{{the Quran}} refers to itself as Al-Furqan (The Distinguisher).\
The guidance within the Quran, and the example of the Prophet in his Sunnah, help us distinguish the light from the darkness, not only in the world, [[HisOwnWorstEnemy but within our own selves]].

!!!From people in real life:
-> ''It's better to be dumb and hard-working than [[BrilliantButLazy intelligent and lazy]].''
->- A paraphrasing from my father to me.
[[note]]This goes in hand with the ''The Magic of Thinking Big'' book he gave me teaches. "How you use your intelligence is more important than how much intelligence you have."[[/note]]

!!From fiction:
-> ''It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you.''
->-''Film/BatmanBegins''

!!!Thought up by me:
--> "Life is full of surprises and disappointments, so keep your hopes high and your expectations low".
[[note]]My personal take on the "Expect disappointment and you'll never be disappointed" quote, the issue with subconsciously expecting failure is that it tends to fail to stir the will to push oneself to succeed. ''Preparing'' for failure while doing your best, on the other hand, is likely most optimal to find success. Inherently, this is my rephrasing of "Expect the best, prepare for the worst."[[/note]]

--> "Sins sabotage the self."
[[note]]Some neat AddedAlliterativeAppeal if I do say so myself. But seriously, regardless of one's beliefs, doing wrong makes the conscience prick them on the inside, and there will come a time where the guilt will destroy them completely if they don't give it up.[[/note]]

[[folder:Animation]]
Most of the media I watch tends to be animated. Whether I'm into it for the story or just getting a laugh out of it, I like appreciate them as entertainment.
!!!Asian
Malaysian: ([=AniMY=] means Malaysian Animation)
* '''''Animation/BoBoiBoy''''': Since episode 1 in 2011, it's been my whole childhood ever since and likely remains as (one of or) my most favourite show(s) ever. Expect it a lot in my editing history.
* '''''Animation/EjenAli''''': Since it started in 2016, a brilliant step into the future in more ways than one. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, especially internationally.
* '''Animation/{{Mechamato}}''': The installment preceding ''[=BoBoiBoy=]'' in the Spheraverse. Gotta LOVE the studio's improvement, the ways it encourages creativity and imagination, and the underlying theme of independence at my age, a nice follow-up of the fair morals of the show it's a prequel of.
* ''Animation/UpinAndIpin'': One of the first Malay shows I ever watched, can't recall since when, but I doubt there's much to follow. Still, I respect it for introducing me to [=AniMY=] and being a major kickstarter to the industry, so to speak.
I'm clueless about anime (Japanese animation) because my parents said no. [[note]]I did catch a bit of ''Anime/FairyTail'' on TV once and I could understand why. Still stank that kids younger than me could watch though. The outlook isn't as extreme as AllAnimeIsNaughtyTentacles, but my parents are mostly ProperlyParanoid about [[NewMediaIsEvil some media]]. Some. [[HumorMode If only I listened completely.]][[/note]] Of the exceptions are:
* ''Hagemaru'': Helps that it showed on a kids channel, but damn, the audacity of this lil bald guy (and his family) is hilarious!

!!!Others
* There's a Russian animated show called ''Animation/TheFixies'' that I really enjoyed watching after school. Edutainment of appliances and more at its finest.

!!!Western
* '''WesternAnimation/GravityFalls''':
* '''''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''''': First watched [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS3E4OneBadApple "One Bad Apple"]] on a local network out of curiosity and got hooked for a while around 2014, but phased out during Season 6 due to exhaustion from overenthusiasm; perhaps I was slightly too eccentric as a fan. Online ''MLP: FIM'' content introduced me to several other works through fandoms, making ponies my gateway drug to the internet of sorts. I'm unsure if I'll ever watch every episode, but I tend to visit this old phase at times.
* '''WesternAnimation/{{Ninjago}}''': Fun to follow, but I haven't yet gone out of my way to watch it all. I remember binging as many episodes as possible on Netflix in 2019 Q3 because some episodes would disappear from there by October, oof. The seasons I recall watching in full are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 (the last one because I caught it on TV, the first 5 I watched on Netflix).
* ''WesternAnimation/ShaunTheSheep'': Along with most of ''Creator/AardmanAnimations''' work, but there's something impressive about conveying stories with little dialogue, which also prevents language barriers. I also have profoundly nostalgic memories associated with the first Shaun The Sheep film.
* '''WesternAnimation/TalesOfArcadia''': Series trilogy with an entertaining and well-crafted story. I was confused when Netflix suddenly demanded the pin code for mature content be inserted when I could originally watch without it, until I re-binged and configured that the implications of certain themes finally settled in some people's heads.

[[folder:Films - (Animated and Live Action)]]
!!!Animated
* [=AniMY=] films get this top-bullet:
** ''Animation/AgentAliTheMovie'': Peak [=AniMY=], WAU really outdid themselves.
** ''Animation/BoBoiBoyTheMovie'': "Masih Di Sini" remains as one of my all-time favourite songs.
** ''Animation/BoBoiBoyMovie2'': [[spoiler:ElementalFusion]] was a bit out of left-field but it sure was awesome.
** ''Animation/GengTheAdventureBegins'': Didn't know this was the predecessor to U&I at first. My favourite scene is the gag with 3 people in a half-log veering over a cliff: one jumping to fall, one trying to stop them from falling, and one deciding between the two. What's more is [[https://youtu.be/-EqaDKl9Olc&t=60 that this]] [[https://youtu.be/wlZ0THJ4XTY happened twice]].
** ''Animation/UpinAndIpinTheLoneGibbonKeris'': I'm glad I can still be entertained by these young bald twins.
[[AC:By Creator/Studio]]
* ''Creator/AardmanAnimations''
** ''WesternAnimation/ChickenRun'' + ''WesternAnimation/ChickenRunDawnOfTheNugget''
** ''WesternAnimation/FlushedAway''
** ''WesternAnimation/ShaunTheSheepMovie'' has its nostalgic appeal to me.
* A lot of Creator/BlueSkyStudios' works (barring a few I've yet to see)
* A fair chunk of ''Recap/DisneyAnimatedCanon'', with special note to:
** ''WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitch'' + ''WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitch2StitchHasAGlitch''
** ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney'' + ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameII''
* A lot of ''Creator/DreamworksAnimation'', but especially:
** ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'', my 2nd favourite trilogy.
** ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'', my favourite trilogy ever [[note]](sorry, not counting the 4th)[[/note]]
** ''WesternAnimation/SpiritStallionOfTheCimarron'' is a feel-good movie for me.
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Turbo}}''
** (Has yet to see Farmageddon)
** Most ''WesternAnimation/WallaceAndGromit'' films (though I've yet to see some). Especially ''WesternAnimation/TheCurseOfTheWereRabbit''
[[AC:Individual titles]]
* ''Animation/NextGen''

!!!Live Action
* ''Film/AirBuddies'': Most of those movies, including one or more of ''Film/AirBuds'', I only knew from borrowing them at a DVD library years ago. I thought they were fun.
* ''Film/{{Enchanted}}'' (yet to finish Disenchanted)
* '''''Film/Venom2018''''': I remember my hype to see this manifesting since I saw its trailer before ''Film/AntmanAndTheWasp'' at the cinema. Come its October 2018 release, Venom remains as one of my favourite cinematic experiences ever [[note]](with some thanks to Dolby Atmos making it all the more immersive, I could hear Venom's voice from all around ''and within me''. [[NightmareFetishist I need help /lh]].)[[/note]]. The ShoutOut to my home country may have buttered me up, but I enjoyed it for the concept of having a (mostly) helpful companion that lives like a voice in one's head, and the badassery Venom served with it made it all the better. Brilliant AuthorAppeal fuel for me xD.
** ''Film/VenomLetThereBeCarnage'': Laughed more than I expected. Things got outright ridiculous at times but it was sufficient in providing the aspects which originally drew me into the first film and the comedy's a bonus, if not already necessary, in a way. [[note]](Sufficiently [[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20211024_080246_youtube.jpg grotesque]] too. Lovely :D)[[/note]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
Trust me, I used to be way more of a bookworm when I was younger, but it'll take some time to recall favourite titles. I read ''Literature/JaneEyre'' and ''Literature/WutheringHeights'' years ago in grade school because I was ahead of the others in terms of reading, but I couldn't understand all of it at the time and now I've mostly forgot the entire plot despite that I noted down new vocabs. 😅

\
Regardless, Literature/TheQuran is always at the top of my favorite books of all time, for good reason. I try to make it a habit to read a number of pages daily.
----
* ''Literature/{{Heidi}}''
* ''Literature/RobinsonCrusoe''
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
!!!Fiction
* ''Series/AgentsOfShield'': My parents watched it on Netflix and I sometimes chimed in to seeing some episodes, my favourite moments involve the appearance of that Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes.
* ''Series/MindYourLanguage'': I saw a funny clip of it on Whatsapp, then again with my English teacher. I want to see more of the show regardless of its humor being less favourable in current times.

!!!Non-fiction
Because I like watching [[https://content.astro.com.my/ the 550s channels on Astro]] sometimes (educational channels about nature, science, and more). Some could have pages since there are narratives but I'm unsure.
* ''My Cat from Hell'': Jackson Galaxy helps cat owners with their unruly felines. It can get grating when the owners don't follow Jackson's advice.
* ''Snakes in the City'': A couple of snake catchers answer phone calls in South Africa. I like watching the snakes they extract from human spaces be released into nature (sometimes keeping them to heal beforehand).
* ''Storage Wars'': Like Travel Channel's ''Baggage Battles'', there's something that entertains me about seeing the prices stuff can be bought and sold for, with a mix of chance since what's in a lot isn't totally known until it's bought.
* ''Monsters Inside Me'': Give me all the grotesque details of how parasitic diseases form.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Music]]
My favourite noises range in rock, metal and electronic. A mix of one or more tends to be pleasant to my ears too (such as IndustrialMetal, DarkWave, PostPunk, etc.). [[note]]With that being said, the lyrics and visual content is also a factor in the songs I enjoy, and I tend to avoid sexual, needlessly profane or otherwise inappropriate songs. Unpopular opinion, but as someone who's aware of music being haram, I agree with that (never mind the fact that halal and haram is not up for debate). I tend to get lost in my own worlds listening to them, and it may be fun occasionally, but I hardly have time for it anymore. I ultimately find avoiding music to be better, but it'll be a gradual process of giving it up. I still keep a few downloaded tunes to make me walk faster.[[/note]]

Metal and rock have been my first favourites for a very long time. Powerful beats of drums and guitar riffs have lifted my spirits and carried me through fictional battles in my mind time and time again. A lot of my favourite songs are from these genres, my most favourite song ever being [[https://youtu.be/q-RgSIH7E58 Masih Di Sini]] by the Malaysian rock group [[https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunkface Bunkface]], which is the official song for ''Animation/BoBoiBoyTheMovie''.

Some of my favourite metal/rock artists:
* [[Music/ThreeTeeth 3TEETH]] (Industrial)
* Music/LinkinPark
* Music/{{Skillet}}
* Music/{{Disturbed}}

Most of the music I listened to in the mid to late 2010s was NerdCore, as [[FilkSong fanmade songs paying tribute to games and other media]] I like are fun to watch and are often of remarkable quality. I enjoyed songs about games as much as I did watching {{Lets Play}}s of said games. Such songs introduced me to other genres I now enjoy, such as {{Electroswing}} from ''VideoGame/BendyAndTheInkMachine'' fan songs. That was just the tip of the iceberg.

Selected nerdcore/filk/fan-song artists:
* Music/CalebHyles
* Music/CG5
* Creator/DAGames
* Music/DanBull
* Music/JonathanYoung
* Music/JTMusic
* Creator/MadameMacabre

Through other songs made by Filk artists, I learned about other works and fandoms, as was my case with ''MLP: FIM''. The pony music scene is vibrant and full of awesome tracks. I recommend these brony music channels; [[https://youtube.com/c/CiderParty Cider Party]] (electronic), [[https://youtube.com/c/PoniesAtDawn Ponies At Dawn]] (multiple genres) and [[https://youtube.com/c/DrumscapeLibrary Drumscape Library]] (DrumAndBass).

Some of my favourite brony musicians:
* Blackened Blue (Metal)
* Princewhateverer (Metal)
* Suskii (Metal + Electronic)
* Tripon (D'n'B)
* Music/WoodenToaster (Electronic)

From Cider Party, I learned of electronic subgenres, and DarkWave stuck out to me most [[https://youtu.be/dGzafol6iuE in this track]]. Then I came across [[https://youtu.be/cRklP346Gcs this playlist video by Yami Spechie from 2021]], in which I enjoyed almost every song and realised that the style struck a chord in me. A perfect blend of guitar, bass and electronic melodies with a nicely dark touch - it felt like my everything music. There's enough energy to go around while not being too distracting, yet it's still nice to get lost in while being mild and calm. It's my personal choice of background music over rock/metal, which energises but also distracts me from my tasks (because my imagination actively goes wild lol). My taste has branched out to PostPunk in general, and the Russian songs in particular have a way of creating atmosphere despite the language barrier. Yes, I unironically vibe to Russian doomer playlists. [[https://youtu.be/-otYSc8mF3I They make good driving music…]] [[BlackComedy as long as you don't understand the lyrics.]]

Some DarkWave and PostPunk artists I've been enjoying:
* Music/{{Antipole}}
* Music/MolchatDoma
* Music/{{OrangPlanet}} (Malaysian band) ([[https://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orang_planet link]])
* Music/{{Ploho}} (Russian band) ([[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ploho link]])
* Music/ShePastAway (Turkish post-punk band)
* Music/TwinTribes
* Music/LebanonHanover

Some other musicians I enjoy that don't fit on my common lists above:
* Music/OwlCity: "Fireflies" [[TearJerker genuinely makes me tear up sometimes]]. My other personal favourites of his include "To The Sky", "When Can I See You Again?" and "Shooting Star".

[[folder:Video Games]]
I'd say I'm a casual gamer. I mostly play free browser games and mobile ones on occasion. I seldom spend to play, and often watch gameplays for games I'm uninclined or can't get to play myself.
!!!Games I've played
* ''Videogame/AmongUs'': Due to its viral boom in 2020, still kinda fun to play at times, though I no longer play it as much.
* ''VideoGame/AngryGran'': Including its several side games. The premise amused me at the time, to say the least.
* ''VideoGame/ClumsyNinja'': Introduced to it by a friend and only got to the ending some years later... due to the time gap between deletion and reinstalling. It's rather fun, but ThatOneSidequest tho.
* ''VideoGame/DuckLife'': I likely played all the installments on coolmathgames.com, training and racing the little birdies was fun while Flash lasted.
* '''''VideoGame/FoodFantasy''''': That one gacha game I downloaded for the heck of it because the ad interested me. After having stopped playing for a few years, I'm finally back as of 2022. My IUD is 2694078 as [=BlackFaithStar17=]. Feel free to add me as a friend there!
* ''VideoGame/JunesJourney'': Got pretty far (perhaps as far as the arc with Talbot's son) before that phone got lost, RIP.
* ''VideoGame/HenryStickminSeries'': I believe my relative introduced me to the earlier ones, but gameplays with reactions to the hilarious ways to fail would remind me to play them, except for "Completing the Mission".
* ''VideoGame/JustShapesAndBeats'': Watching 8-Bit Ryan's gameplays of it was my highlight of 2019. A year or two later, I found its demo on my cousin's Switch and vibed through the tutorial levels.
* ''VideoGame/TheLastDoor'': I've only played Act 1 (4 chapters) so far. Perhaps its pixel artstyle put me at ease despite it being a horror game, but it did give a few jumps at the right moments.
* ''VideoGame/RobotUnicornAttackHeavyMetalEdition'': Because I like equines and heavy metal. The grand juxtaposition of my interests.
* ''VideoGame/{{Scribblenauts}}'': Saw a classmate play it YEARS AGO before I recognised someone else playing it (with a different protagonist I think?) and got it for myself. It's super fun to be able to summon almost anything, I might try get one of those paid games in the future, who knows?
!!!Games I've only seen others play
* ''VideoGame/BendyAndTheInkMachine'': The concept intrigued me very much back in the day, it's still pretty awesome.
** '''VideoGame/BendyAndTheDarkRevival''' looks like such a massively improved sequel that I'm seriously considering to buy it for myself. [[note]]My fate was sealed the moment I heard the Ink Demon talk- and he sounds like Venom-[[/note]]
* ''VideoGame/DarkDeception'': Honestly awesome. The characters, the story, the visuals, they're all so interesting. ''Monsters & Mortals'' is no sweat either, I'm tempted to get it myself (if my laptop can handle it).
* ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys'': From wandering Youtube while looking for MLP:FIM stuff, I found videos for this game, but was too chicken to watch gameplays. The {{filk song}}s are really fun, so I was a {{Fanwork Only Fan|s}} for the time being... still kinda scared to play a game for real though lol.
* ''VideoGame/FranBow'': My kind of vibe (which I suppose is called gothic), plus the protagonist's whimsical reactions to the unnatural amuse me.
* ''VideoGame/GoatSimulator'': For some reason, goats doing stupid stuff is funny.
* ''VideoGame/{{Kindergarten}}'' and [[VideoGame/Kindergarten2 its sequel]] are chock-filled with BlackComedy, yet oddly compelling characters.
* ''VideoGame/LittleMisfortune'': The follow-up of sorts to Fran Bow, with a younger cheerful protagonist... but with a less ambiguously unfortunate life.
* ''VideoGame/LittleNightmares'' and [[VideoGame/LittleNightmaresII its sequel]]: Investingly ominous environment, love the concept and story of it (and how it's portrayed wordlessly which leaves much of what actually happens to a lot of alternate interpretation and theories).
* ''VideoGame/MrHoppsPlayhouse1'' and ''VideoGame/MrHoppsPlayhouse2'': I may consider getting the sequel or both, it seems like a horror game I'd enjoy playing myself with just the right amount of spooks but still fun with each play.
* ''VideoGame/PoppyPlaytime'': Borderline case. I initially avoided it due to the 2022 controversies until Chapter 3's release. That aside, however, I'd rate it a 5/10. I think it uses the elements at hand well, has crisp visuals, a dose of symbolism, fun designs, and creative mechanics, but despite the LetsPlay videos I've watched for others' reactions to certain moments, I'm not attached at all. I see too many similarities to other games ([=FNaF=], Bendy, etc) to truly enjoy it [[note]](Interestingly, I know people who saw Bendy and saw it as a Freddy's ripoff)[[/note]]. It might just be me in the aspect that I've watched a lot of MascotHorror games before. ''Project Playtime'' looks more fun, though the likeness to ''Dead by Daylight'' (the minigame while being trapped is a plus though) and ''VideoGame/DarkDeception: Monsters and Mortals'' (for using its base game's characters with added cosmetics to make an AsymmetricMultiplayer game) still screams at me in the face. Amusingly enough, the latter game collaborated with ''Poppy Playtime'' for a DLC, and I unironically enjoy how good it looks.
* ''VideoGame/RiddleSchool'' and its following sequels: I watched them a lot from certain lets-players at some point.
%%* ''VideoGame/SallyFace'': Quite the emotional rollercoaster, oh [[MoodWhiplash and also]] sick metal.

[[folder:Web Stuff]]
Ah, the internet. Where so much time and innocence was lost [[note]]I can thank some fan parodies and some works visible in DarkFic.MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic for a fair chunk of ruined childhood.[[/note]]. Before then I only knew it for research and browser games. Anyway-
[[AC:Web Original]]
I know that my contributions are in line to prepare for this term's obsoletion (using Literature or other folders instead of Web Original), but I'll use it anyway for now.
* {{Creepypasta}}: My GuiltyPleasure since 2019[[labelnote:*]](Though I took a break for a few years because my indulgence of it started perpetuating an unhealthy mindset.)[[/labelnote]]. Yes, even ''Literature/JeffTheKiller''. Took me five years to get over my fear of that image, *shudder*. Yeah the story's flawed but oh well. I prefer chilling depictions of horror characters over [[DracoInLeatherPants DILP]] ones. Sympathetic isn't necessarily bad, but I'm strongly against downplaying crimes like murder. Anyway, I ought to read more, I'm making my own (horror) stories someday [[labelnote:*]]I do have one WIP with a Darth Wiki page which I consider my first honorary creepypasta, but you'll have to dig my edit history to find it[[/labelnote]].
[[AC:Web Animation]]
* ''WebAnimation/MadnessCombat'': I initially had no interest when I first heard of it from ''VideoGame/TheTrickyMod'', but I decided to jump into it to [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15358704370A99240800&page=1073#comment-26811 help co-host S249]] of this site's Roleplay/HungerGamesSimulation FG thread. That was fun, thanks Tropers/CardboardBot! I might not be overly invested but it's an epic watch, if you can handle the {{gorn}}.
* WebAnimation/{{Oversimplified}}: How befitting that I learned of this channel that simplifies historical events with funny animations from my history teacher.
[[AC:Web Video]]
* WebVideo/CinemaWins: What's not to enjoy about your favourite movies getting complimented? It's easier to see new ways of interpreting your favourite films when the discussions are positive. Even in the criticism, because pointing out the good points as well as where there's room for improvement ''nicely'' is the constructive criticism that everyone needs more of.
[[/folder]]

Stuff I may want to check out in the future:
* ''Webcomic/FurryFightChronicles'' (Since I helped on a few IP threads for its moment pages, why not?)
* ''VideoGame/NoStraightRoads'' (Malaysian rhythm-based action adventure game which I saw numerous ads for on Instagram and only learnt it was Malay upon stumbling upon it in the MalaysianMedia page.)
* ''Series/TheRedGreenShow'' (first heard of it from [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=14513532810A67720400&page=30#comment-732 this forum post]].)
* ''Animation/RimbaRacer'' (Malaysian animated series I only saw the commercials for back in 2016, was putting it off though I was and still am genuinely interested, going to for the sake of helping its pages.)

Fictional characters are fun, especially ones you can relate to and/or learn something from. Many of my favourite characters tend to resonate with a personal value of mine, and from that reflection, I can learn more about myself and how people work, because heck, all fictional characters are reflections of us real people in one way or another. That or I like the themes of their story, personality, or something else to them. There may be light mentions of fictional crushes but I'm not giving a simp list lmao.

!!3 Characters That Best Represent Me (adaptive list)
* [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicPrincessLuna Princess Luna]]: Oddly, I thought Maud was at the top of this list for so long until I took a deeper look at Luna.
** We're both inherently drawn to being alone and darker aesthetics. Although it doesn't necessarily make us evil, it does make us more susceptible to the dark side.
** My [[NoIndoorVoice sense of appropriate vocal volume sucks sometimes]] too.
** [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E13DoPrincessesDreamOfMagicSheep "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep"]] is one of my favourite episodes for entertaining my fantasy of several imaginations becoming one place where everyone can summon what they want and interact. But it also made me reflect on my tendencies to subject myself to negative thoughts just to see how much I can endure, and to remember the severity of my past endeavors into the darker psyche. Luna punished herself with the Tantabus to never forget her crimes as Nightmare Moon, but learned to forgive herself and find peace. I have made progress, but the effort to dispel bad memories and instill myself with good thoughts instead needs persistence.
* [[Characters/AgentAliMATA Agent Iman]]: TBA
* Characters/FranBow: TBA
!!Honorable Mentions
* [[Franchise/TheAddamsFamily Wednesday Addams]], though I'm most familiar with her depiction in the 2022 live-action series, which hit me like a brick with the realisation, "Damn, I used to be her." (More info TBA) %%There was a time that I used to be as skeptical and antisocial as her, but I'm glad that I've outgrown that.
* [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicManeFamilyMembers Maud Pie]]
** TheStoic, frank and a bit out there, but caring in our own way. I considered myself near-EmotionlessGirl levels when she was at the top of my list, but I may be more of a laugher than I give myself credit for - it depends on how socially comfortable I am.
** We both write poetry! Well, I'm usually more verbose but at least she tries.
* [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicStarlightGlimmer Starlight Glimmer]]: I may not have watched every episode that features her nor do I have a strong opinion on her, but [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15803982130A47090500&page=8#comment-177 I resonate with some of her facets and her lessons to learn]].
** Bad experiences with past friendships led to problematic mentalities and hindered us from giving our all at making new friends, for a while at least. [[labelnote:Expanded explanation]]I felt that natural differences between people lead to them being better friends with others than me. I tended to get lost from them talking about things I've no knowledge of and feel even more LockedOutOfTheLoop from inside-jokes and experiences I never got to share. Instead of trying to get to know them better, however, I considered trying to maintain them a fruitless cause because I'd frequently change schools anyway, and we'd naturally fade from each others' lives. My envisionment of ideal friends were those who were exactly like me (which fed my affinity towards making [[LiteralSplitPersonality imaginary personifications of my aspects]], but that led me to romanticising the EnemyWithin, unfortunately). This is pretty similar to Starlight's disdain with natural differences between individuals taking loved ones away from her, although I wouldn't forcefully take away the individuality of others to make them equal.[[/labelnote]]
** Unlike her, I accepted that people would be different and leave (so I believe), but similarly to her, I became TheResenter of those with happy connections that I couldn't understand. I'm grateful that both of us have put the dark past behind.
** Lastly, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking I can't stand mustard either]]. I suppose I was also a FormerTeenRebel in mentality, if my previously described past mindsets are any indication.

My other faves, organised by work:
@@WIP@@
!!!Characters/BoBoiBoy
* [=BoBoiBoy=] Fire: His tragic concept of existence [[AngstWhatAngst (though only lightly touched on)]] made me interested in him. He's born from the KidHero's growing stress, juggling hero work, school work and more. But his methods to burn away the hero's stress makes more messes that he has to clean up, adding to the stress, adding to Fire's agitation - a vicious cycle.
* [=BoBoiBoy=] Thunderstorm: His debut definitely made an impression on me.
!!!More ponies lol
* [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicRedeemed Stygian]]:
** Having an EnemyWithin which acts like an expy of ''ComicBook/{{Venom}}'' (who's also on this list) will do that to you.
** Aspiring/prolific writers unite! It is so awesome that he wrote a book off his experience with the Pony of Shadows, I intend to integrate fighting my own darkness in my writing too.

For OCs and the like. Black Star here was initially the image atop the page but I have a different idea for what to place there. Many of my original characters are Author Avatars simply because of my Author Appeal towards interactions of different aspects of self. Frankly, I initially thought all OCs were self-inserts (then again, each character we make pertains some personal value in some form, don't they?) and rolled with it. Many of said OCs had unofficial alterations as I developed over the years, as I never officially documented the majority of them, just having them sit or float around in my head.

%%!!!Relationship Statuses I use (cuz why not)
%%I'm probably blind to these references, and prefer waiting until marriage, but why not say why I use some of these anyway:
%%* "Above such petty unnecessities": Used this way more back in the day just to put out there that I see no need for (pre-marital) relationships. Yeah it's due to how I was raised and I'd like to keep it that way.
%%* "Abstaining": Either I'm abstaining from the site (hiatus) or it's Ramadhan time (''siyam'' means abstain, and it's one of the pillar of UsefulNotes/{{Islam}})
%%* "All is for my lord": Feeling close to God, I guess. As that one Muslim meme goes, "You can't be single if you have a relationship with Allah." :P
%%* "Brony": Back in my pegasister phase.
%%* "Getting away with murder": No not literally. Hopefully. This is my go-to status when my horror kick makes a comeback. Either that or I'm feeling edgy :P
%%* "Hiding": Alternative status for hiatus.
%%* "Married To My Murderer": Alternate status to "Getting away with murder", although with an... additional flavour. [[MonsterFangirl At least they're all fictional]] :sob:.
