Go To

* AccentDepundent: As in the original, Vanellope's "duty"/"doody" pun only works in an accent that exhibits both flapping and yod-droppping; in non-flapping and/or non-yod-dropping accents, the two words aren't homophonous.
* ActingForTwo:
** In the Japanese dub, Mayumi Suzuki dubs both Aurora and WesternAnimation/Mulan.
** In the Latin American Spanish dub, Maggie Vera dubs Snow White, WesternAnimation/Mulan and Jasmine. Romina Marroquín Payró dubs also Anna and Rapunzel.
** In the Hungarian dub, Bernadett Vágó reprises Tiana and Anna, as well as Ariel from WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaidArielsBeginning.
** In the Swedish dub, all the princesses except for Ariel (and the oldest princesses) had their original voice actresses. Jasmine's actress Myrra Malmberg covered Ariel.
** Jannike Kruse do the voices of both Jasmine and Mulan in the Norwegian dub.
** In the Polish dub, both Vanellope and Mulan are voiced by Jolanta Fraszyńska.
** In the Dutch dub, Joke de Kruijf voices Cinderella, Aurora and Belle, while Laura Vlasblom voices both Ariel and Jasmine.
* CastTheExpert: The auctioneers in the [=eBay=] scene were voiced by actual auctioneers.
* CelebrityVoiceActor:
** In the original English version, the returning characters count.
** Creator/GalGadot voices Shank, whose character design also looks like her. Shank is also very possibly based on Gisele Yashar.
** Creator/BillHader voices JP Spamley.
** Creator/TarajiPHenson voices Yesss.
** This is the case with the Disney Princesses in certain dubs as many of them were voiced by many famous actresses and singers:
** In Japan, IdolSinger Creator/ShokoNakagawa and Music/AKB48's Yuko Oshima reprise their roles as Rapunzel and Merida, respectively. Japanese Youtuber HIKAKIN voices the Stormtrooper.
** In Latin America, Mexican journalist Alex Montiel voices Lee.
** In the Brazilian dub, actor/singer Tiago Abravanel voiced Ralph, TV host/actress/blogger [=MariMoon=] voiced Vanellope, comedian/actor Rafael Cortez voiced Felix, and TV actress Giovanna Lancellotti voiced Shank.
** In the Italian dub, singer Fabio Rovazzi voices the Stormtroopers, blogger Salvatore Aranzulla voices the "Sassy housewives" pop-up, Princess of Cerveteri Melusine Ruspoli voices Jasmine, singer Nicoletta Romanoff voices Aurora and Youtubers [=Favij=] and [=LaSabri=] voice the two players who try to steal Shank's car.
* CompletelyDifferentTitle:
** The German title is "Chaos im Netz", which literally translates to "Chaos on the Web". Some have criticised this decision, since the title doesn't even reference the movie being a sequel to "Wreck-It Ralph" in any way.
** The French title is "Ralph 2.0"
* Defictionalization: Pancake Milkshake was made into an add-on app for use with [=iOS=] Messages.
* DescendedCreator: Screenwriter Pamela Ribon voices Snow White. Creator/Director Rich Moore reprises his roles as Zangief and Sour Bill.
* ExecutiveMeddling: A minor example where Lucasfilm would not allow the movie to make any jokes or portrayals of Kylo Ren as a spoiled ManChild. Presenting C-3PO as a butler and ButtMonkey in general is fine though, as this has been part of his characterization since the beginning.
* KidsMealToy: UsefulNotes/McDonalds released a set of twelve race cars in their Happy Meals.
* MilestoneCelebration: This movie, which features an extended sequence inside a website within which all the Disney characters reside, was released 90 years after the release of the first truly notable Disney project, WesternAnimation/SteamboatWillie, although shifted forward by a few days.
* MissingTrailerScene:
** The scene where Yesss debates with Ralph and Vanellope about the usage of "breaking" the internet versus "wrecking," is not included in the film.
** The scene where Vanellope asks Knowsmore to find something really cool and exciting (with him being only able to find a single result) is not in the movie.
** Not part of the trailers, but early reports of the princess scene described a moment where the princesses dismiss C-3PO as R2-D2 and BB-8. This is not in the final film.
** Merida's unintelligible Scottish is changed from the trailers.
** Sour Bill "freaking out hard" after Sugar Rush is unplugged is absent.
* TheOriginalDarrin: In 2011, when Paige O'Hara was declared too old to continue voicing Belle, the role was then recast to Julie Nathanson, who has voiced Belle in many of her appearances since then, such as VideoGame/KinectDisneylandAdventures and WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst. This movie, however, brings Paige O'Hara back to voice her.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** In Latin America, Merida is voiced by Denisse Aragón, since her previous dub voice actress, Hiromi Hayakawa, died in 2017 due to childbirth complications.She had already replaced Hiromi as Goldie in WesternAnimation/GoldieAndBear and Merida in the LEGO WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles game. Also from the same dub, Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog went from Creator/YamilAtala to Creator/MemoAponte at Disney's request. And Vanellope went from Maria Antonieta de la Nieves to Creator/LilianaBarba, who already voiced her in VideoGame/DisneyInfinity, due to the public distaste for her performance in the previous movie, as she was considered too old to voice her.
** The Japanese dub has a odd case on this, at least with the Disney Princesses: While most of the them retain their original voice actresses from previous adaptations and from the dub of WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst, some of them, like Ariel (previously voiced by Mayumi Suzuki) and Belle (voiced by Eri Ito), has their respective ones replaced, and they were recasted with Mari Okonogi and Megumi Hirakawa respectively. The odd part came with the fact Mayumi Suzuki still voices Aurora and WesternAnimation/Mulan, and it's very likely Disney didn't want her to dub Ariel again to avoid a single voice actress to have many roles at once.
** In the English version, Melissa Villasenor replaced Creator/MindyKaling as Taffyta, while Pamela Ribon replaces Katie Von Till as Snow White.
** In the Italian dub, Creator/BarbaraDeBortoli replaces Creator/LauraBoccanera as Belle, Melusine Ruspoli replaces Manuela Cenciarelli as Jasmine, Nicoletta Romanoff replaces Creator/LauraLenghi as Aurora, Riccardo Suarez replaces Alex Polidori as Rancis Fluggerbutter, Nicole Pravadelli replaces Angelica Bolognesi as Jubileena Bing-Bing and Leslie James La Penna replaces both Paolo Virzì as Sour Bill and Paolo Buglioni as Eeyore.
** In the Finnish dub, Saara Lehtonen replaces Riikka Väyrynen-Timonen as Snow White, Anna-Maija Tuokko replaces Mervi Hiltunen as Aurora, Raili Raitala replaces Arja Koriseva as Pocahontas and Hanna Kaila replaces Laura Voutilainen as Tiana.
** In the Brazilian dub, Fabio Lucindo (who replaced Manolo Rey as Sonic in the first movie) returns for the sequel. Luiza Cezar replaces Silvia Goiabeira as Jasmine, Luisa Viotti replaces Fernanda Baronne as Cinderella, Giulia Nadruz replaces Ju Cassou as Belle and Natali Pazete replaces Kacau Gomes as Tiana (although this was probably for avoiding a single voice actress having more than one role, since Kacau Gomes also voices Mulan).
** In the Swedish and Norwegian dub, Ariel is voiced by Myrra Malmberg (Swedish) and Benedicte Barra (Norwegian) instead of Sissel Kyrkjebø, who voiced Ariel in both the Norwegian and Swedish dubs of the original film. However, Malmberg had voiced Ariel before in The Little Mermaid sequels.
** Also in the Norwegian dub, Sarah [=MacDonald=] Berge replaces Noora Noor as Tiana and Silje Hagrim Dahl replaces Charlotte Frogner as Merida.
** Also in the Swedish dub, Mikaela Tidermark replaces Anna-Lotta Larsson as Snow White and Anna Isbäck replaces Divina Sarkany as Mulan.
* PermanentPlaceholder: Screenwriter Pamela Ribon originally voiced Snow White in temp tracks. Her role was kept in the final cut.
* PreviewPiggybacking: TheStinger to the film spoofs this by promising a WesternAnimation/FrozenII teaser, .
* RealLifeRelative:
** In the Latin American Spanish dub, Creator/MarioCastaneda (Tapper, Ben [=McKee=] and Daniel Platzman) works together with his children Arturo ([=McNeely=] & one of the Ebay auctioneers) and Carla (WesternAnimation/Pocahontas).
** Creator/MingNaWen reprises as WesternAnimation/Mulan, and her daughter Creator/MichaelaZee plays Nafisa, one of the girls present when the Sugar Rush wheel breaks.
** In the Swedish dub, the voice actresses for Rapunzel and Anna are sisters in real life.
** In the Norwegian dub, the voice actress for both Jasmine and Mulan, and the voice actress for Aurora are Jannike and Anine Kruse, who are sisters.
* RoleReprise:
** Along with the main characters of the first film returning, this movie also has the Disney Princesses showing up for a cameo, with all but one of them being voiced by their original/current voice actresses. This includes Jodi Benson as Ariel, Paige O’Hara as Belle, Linda Larkin as Jasmine, Irene Bedard as WesternAnimation/Pocahontas, Creator/MingNaWen as WesternAnimation/Mulan, Anika Noni Rose as Tiana, Music/MandyMoore as Rapunzel, Creator/KellyMacdonald as Merida, Creator/KristenBell and Creator/IdinaMenzel as Princess Anna and Queen Elsa respectively, and Auli'i Cravalho as WesternAnimation/Moana. O'Hara is especially noteworthy as she had been officially retired from the role several years earlier and was replaced by Julie Nathanson. Cinderella and Aurora keep their current voice actors, Creator/JenniferHale and Creator/KateHiggins respectively (Aurora being the only Princess whose original voice actor, Mary Costa, was still alive at the time, though she had retired by this point). The one exception is Snow White, who is voiced by Pamela Ribon, one of the film's screenwriters, instead of Katie Von Till, her current official voice.
** Like with the first movie, Creator/RogerCraigSmith reprises his role as Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog. Creator/KyleHebert also reprises Ryu, but only for a single line when Ryu yells "Shoryuken!".
** Creator/BradGarrett as Eeyore, returning from Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree and Film/ChristopherRobin.
** Creator/TimAllen as Buzz Lightyear through past audio clips. Likewise Creator/VinDiesel as Baby Groot and Creator/MichaelGiacchino as FN-3181.
** Creator/CoreyBurton, who's voiced Grumpy in more recent Disney media, voices him again here.
** Creator/AnthonyDaniels as C-3PO.
** In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Kacau Gomes returns as Mulan, but not as Tiana. Other princesses had their original voice actress: Andrea Murucci as Pocahontas, Marisa Leal as Ariel, Erika Menezes and Taryn Szpilman as the sisters Anna and Elsa, Any Gabrielly as Moana, Luisa Palomanes as Merida, and Sylvia Salustti as Rapunzel.
** Aside from the princesses, Sergio Stern reprised his role as C3-PO from Film/StarWarsTheLastJedi, while Creator/GuilhermeBriggs once again voiced the Buzz Lightyear.
** In the Italian dub, most of the princesses have their original voice actresses (Creator/LauraLenghi as Mulan, Creator/IlariaStagni as Pocahontas, Creator/DomitillaDAmico as Tiana, Serena Rossi as Anna, Serena Autieri as Elsa, Rossa Caputo as Merida, Creator/EmanuelaIonica as Moana), while others have their voices from direct-to video sequels or derivates such as WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst or WesternAnimation/TangledTheSeries (Creator/MonicaWard as Cinderella, Paola Valentini as Ariel, Creator/IlariaLatini as Snow White, Creator/FedericaDeBortoli as Rapunzel). Only Belle, Aurora and Jasmine got new voices. Outside of that, Mino Caprio reprises his role as C-3PO and Massimo Dapporto as Buzz Lightyear.
** From the Norwegian dub:
*** Of the 4 main characters: Asgeir Borgemoen returns as Ralph, Sigrid Bonde Tusvik returns as Vanellope, Alexander Nyhagen returns as Felix and Suzanne Paalgard returns as Calhoun.
*** Of the Disney princess: Unn Vibeke Hol returns as Snow White, Nora Gjestvang returns as Moana, Jannike Kruse returns as Jasmine and Mulan, Marion Ravn returns as Rapunzel, Lisa Stokke returns as Elsa, May Kristin Kaspersen returns as Anna, Guri Schanke returns as Pocahontas, and Selma Joner and Mathilde Jakobsen Skarpsno returns as Belle and Cinderella from their respective live-action films. Anine Kruse returns as Aurora from WesternAnimation/DisneyPrincessEnchantedTalesFollowYourDreams and WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst.
*** Other Disney characters: Magne Lindholm returns as Eeyore, Sven Nordin returns as Buzz and Trond Teigen returns as C-3PO from the animated series .
** In the Japanese and Korean dubs, both Creator/JunichiKanemaru and Creator/UmSangHyun reprise their respective roles as Sonic.
** In the Albanian dub, Creator/AnishDervishi reprises her role as Rapunzel.
* ScrewedByTheLawyers:
** Creator/Universal acquiring the film rights to the Franchise/SuperMarioBros franchise resulted in both Mario and Bowser (the latter of whom appeared in the prior film) getting dropped from the final cut, despite previous statements from the filmmakers that Mario would play a bigger role. It should be noted that Nintendo did give Disney permission to use Mario in the prior film, but Disney left him out because they didn't know what to do with him. This led many to believe that Disney would save him for this film until the Universal deal was made.
** Strangely, this didn't happen to Sonic and Dr. Eggman, two characters who also appeared in the first film. Since the Sonic franchise's movie rights are with Creator/Paramount, Disney would've had to have worked out some sort of deal with Paramount and Sega where both characters could appear for a limited period of time.
* SequelGap: Released in 2018, six years after WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph.
* SpoiledByTheCastList: The credits for the movie list "Never Gonna Give You Up" as one of the songs in the movie, despite it only being used in trailers. This spoils TheStinger.
* SpoiledByTheMerchandise: One month before the movie came out, Disney Store sold an official pin set of Vanellope's "You're my hero" medal. Except the pin design reveals what would happen to the medal over the course of the movie. The pin set can be seen here.
* UncreditedRole: Creator/BillHader as JP Spamley.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Has its own page.
* WordOfGod: The directors and producer shared insight on the mid-credits and post-credits stingers. This can be found here (spoilers).
* YouLookFamiliar: Creator/AlanTudyk, who voiced King Candy in the first movie, returns as [=KnowsMore=].
