18	* DirectorDisplacement: Very often you'll see the director credit be given to Mitsuo Fukuda, when the actual director of the show is Yoshiharu Ashino. Fukuda did direct several episodes, but mostly served as Creative Producer.
19	* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: As of 2023, the North American home media releases of ''Cross Ange'' are out of print and both Blu-ray and DVD copies tend to go for high prices online.
20	* KilledByRequest: Creator/TakakoHonda requested to have her character Jill killed off in the GrandFinale, not because she hated the character, but she just thought that Jill's death would 'fit her character arc'.
21	* PlayingAgainstType: Creator/YuiOgura as [[spoiler:a temporary villain]]. Not bad actually.
22	* PlayingWithCharacterType: In the English dub, Creator/CaitlynnFrench voices Chris, a shy, quiet, and reserved girl that fills into the characters she voices. Except, Chris's shy personality is [[spoiler:more relating to the fact that she has a lot of personal issues.]]
23	* ProductionPosse: Sentai Filmworks has Creator/ChrisAyres back as the dub's ADR Director, Creator/EmilyNeves, Creator/CynthiaMartinez, Creator/KiraVincentDavis, Creator/TiffanyGrant, Creator/CarliMosier, Creator/HilaryHaag and Creator/CaitlynnFrench are again part of the cast, and Katelyn Barr is writing the script.
24	* ShrugOfGod: The initial response towards the status of Vivian's father. He finally made an appearance in dragon form at the end of episode 25.

26	** In the DVD extras, it's revealed that there were plans for Momoka to betray Ange and be revealed as being in on Julio's plan when they returned to Misurugi, however it was felt that there should at least be one pure-hearted character in the show.
27	** According to the staff, Zola was supposed to die during the defense of Arzenal, however Creator/MichikoNeya had other plans so she couldn't stay long for the show.
28	** Ange was supposed to have been TheCaptain of the First Troop, though that would have made her overshadow everyone even more, so they decided at first with Hilda, but went with Salia.
29	** The second half of episode 14 was supposed to be a flashback episode where it depicts both of Tusk's parents and both would have been voiced by Miyano and Mizuki.
30	** Salamandinay was supposed to show up on episode 7, however they had to delay it because Creator/EriKitamura at the time was trying to promote her album so they made it a [[ADayInTheLimelight Salia episode.]]
31	** Ersha was originally going to have a somewhat darker complexion at first ([[WordOfGod as her design was based upon an unknown Indian woman]]). But was changed at the last minute.
32	*** The ''Design Works'' book also reveals that several other characters were to look different from their finalized counterparts. Some of these changes were minor, like Salia and Momoka having different hair colors and styles or Emma having a different outfit. Others drastic, like Tusk having a more disheveled look, or a clean-shaven, older-looking Jurai.
33	** The end of the series would have had Aura returning to her human form. But the idea was nixed by Fukuda, who thought it went against the story.
34	** Naomi, the Original Generation character for the game, was who Ange initially was supposed to be during the development stages. However, the developers decided to go for something a bit more original.
35	* WrittenByCastMember: Besides being the English dub's ADR scriptwriter, Creator/KatelynBarr voices Liza.
36	* This series made its debut in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' starting with ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV V]]'' and then ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX X]]''. Much like [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny another controversial Mitsuo Fukuda-directed series]], a lot of FixFic elements were applied to the show to the point that a good chunk of fans considered that the series was improved by the game.
