''Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine'' is a {{Shoujo}} {{toku}} series running from January to December 1990. It was the 11th entry in the ''Franchise/ToeiFushigiComedySeries'' franchise. As one of a number of shoujo series created by Creator/ShotaroIshinomori, it stood out by being parodied and referenced many times later on. It's also one of the few heroines in the franchise to be included in Toei's official superheroes list.

Yuko Murakami is an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent who goes to a Shinto shrine to pray one day. She knocks down the bell in front of the shrine when she rings it, and awakens Kami-sama, or God himself, who bestows upon Yuko the power to become a fighter for justice, a Super Hero, as Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine. She fights all kinds of villains who want to make life hard for children.

!!''Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine'' provides examples of the following tropes:

* BigBad: Diable.
* BigGood: Kami-sama. Can't get any bigger than that.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Poitrine Petite in the finale.]]
* ByThePowerOfGrayskull: ''Cosmo Magic, Metamorphosis!''
* CoolCar: Poitrine drives one in the first opening. Kami-sama drives it in the actual show.
* CoolSword: [=BellSaber=]
* CreepyChild: In multiple episodes, an emotionless young schoolgirl Arai politely and creepily asks Takuto and the Poitrine Club to find a certain trinket in a creepy old building; locating this item usually opens a portal to ghosts or villains from old Japan, requiring Poitrine to save the day. In one episode, Arai creeps out Yuko by materializing in the living room with a well-dressed man, whom she reveals is an alien in human form.
* {{Crossover}}: 23 years later, she's back, in ''Film/KamenRiderXKamenRiderWizardAndFourzeMovieWarUltimatum''. However, she's TheOtherDarrin. And [[spoiler:AllJustADream, as she only exists in the [[Series/KamenRiderWizard donut shop owner's Underworld]]]].
* DamselInDistress: Happens to Poitrine ''a lot'', almost OncePerEpisode. Likely for {{fanservice}}.
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: The ending, sung by Yuko's actress.
* DubNameChange:
** To "Patrine" in the Portuguese dub, likely due to "Poitrine" translating to "breasts" in French.
** Yuko's name was changed to Sayuri. Her family name Murakami, became Nakami.
* KidSidekick: Poitrine Petite, [[spoiler:she's really Yuko's little sister, Momoko.]]
* MagicalGirl: One of the live action ones at that.
* OutsideContextProblem: Quite understandably, the mundane villains Poitrine ends up going after are surprised to find themselves fighting a superhuman MagicalGirl.
* PoliceAreUseless: Inspector Honada dislikes Poitrine because she believes she makes the police look bad.
* SealedGoodInACan: Kami-sama.
* SecretIdentity: Poitrine will be turned into a frog is she reveals hers.
* TagalongKid: Yuko's brother Takuto and his friend's "Poitrine Club". They often end up targets of the MonsterOfTheWeek.
* TransformationSequence: Of course.
* TransformationTrinket: The Orgel Pendant. This is later replaced with a compact mirror. Poitrine Petite uses a wand, which is also her weapon.
