13	Dumah has overthrown Naomi as Ruler of Heaven. Having recruited Jack, she heralds a reign of terror in which humans are beaten into submission or forced to ascend to Heaven where Jack can transform them into angels, prompting Castiel to try to stop it. Meanwhile, Dean and Sam are arguing about the best way to bind Jack.

16	* AngelicTransformation: At Dumah's urging, Jack seeks out human believers so he can transform their souls into grace, thus creating new angels. Apparently, only God/Chuck can truly create new things out of nothing (''creatio ex nihilo'').
17	* BetterTheDevilYouKnow: This seems to be Castiel's attitude about Naomi. While she is complicated, her conviction is purely to prevent Heaven from collapsing, not making it the center of a dictatorship like Dumah does.
18	* BullyingADragon: Castiel's no archangel, but Dumah knows he's spent the past decade on Earth fighting all manner of monsters. Yet when he comes to retrieve Jack and demand she stop her reign of terror, she declares that she's holding all the cards and threatens to eject John & Mary Winchester from their own personal heaven. So he immediately stabs her with his angel blade.
19	* CharacterDeath: Castiel kills Dumah to end her brutal reign over Heaven and Earth.
20	* {{Cliffhanger}}: The episode ends with Jack breaking out of the Ma'lak box and confronting Dean, Sam, and Castiel.
21	* CreatingLifeIsBad: Other than personal concern, Castiel is mad at Dumah for telling Jack to create angels because of the way Jack does it, namely, by transforming human souls into graces, instead of creating them from whole cloth.

26	* IDidWhatIHadToDo: Dean and Sam justify their tricking and locking Jack into Ma'lak box because he is dangerous and needs to be stopped.
27	* INeedAFreakingDrink: After tricking Jack into the Ma'lak box, the Winchesters immediately turn to booze to commiserate how much they screwed up with him.
28	* NoSell: Jack can break out of the Ma'lak Box, something even the strongest archangel, Michael, cannot do.
29	* SealedEvilInACan: Since there's no way to kill Jack, the Winchesters attempt to lure him into the Ma'lak box to at least contain him, as it was designed to imprison an archangel. Unfortunately, it turns out that it's not strong enough to contain an arch-nephilim.
