When the school trip to a museum on paper clips proves to be boring, Star takes her class to a museum in another dimension. While the students quickly get into danger, Star learns a few things about leadership and Miss Skullnick learns a few things about trolls.

!!Tropes:

* AlienGeometries: Sabrina explores something that looks like its right out of an M.C. Escher painting, and thanks to the weird gravity of the structure ends up [[StaircaseTumble repeatedly falling down the stairs]].
* AllClothUnravels: The String Monster is defeated this way. Miss Skullnick ties the tip of a thread to a large paper clip, and then fastens it to "The Universe's Most Immovable Post". As the school bus flees with the monster in hot pursuit, it unravels itself completely.
* BodyHorror: Alonzo and Ferguson merge into a strange centaur-like creature after jumping into a glowing blue ray.
* TheChainsOfCommanding: Star learns the hard way that leaders can't let their charges do whatever they want. Ms. Skullnick almost quotes this trope word for word when the entire class disappears.
* ChekhovsGun: Ms. Skullnick uses the paperclip she had in her pocket to trick the String Monster into unraveling itself.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Marco initially mistakes Jackie's text for help for some sort of acronym along the lines of "lol".
* ContinuityNod: Way back in "[[Recap/StarVsTheForcesOfEvilS1E4SchoolSpirit School Spirit]]", Miss Skullnick told Star her favorite weapon was the battle ax. In this episode, she uses a battle ax when fighting the String Monster.
* CursedWithAwesome: Ms. Skullnick learns that her transformation into a troll is far more advantageous then she originally thought. Trolls have SuperStrength and a life expectancy of about 400 years, with the latter fact making Skullnick realize she's basically a teenager again since she's 50.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Turns out taking a bunch of kids to another dimension and letting them go wild isn't the best of ideas.
* EldritchLocation: The dimension Star takes her class to is a massive extra-dimensional MuseumOfTheStrangeAndUnusual.
* TheGhost: Outside of a shot or two from behind, the bus driver responsible for driving the class around remains mostly unseen throughout the entire episode.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Ms. Skullnick knows that Star will probably mess up while taking command of the field trip, but decides to indulge her to teach a lesson about leadership and rules. This eventually leads to a String Monster kidnapping most of the students.
* HellIsThatNoise: The String Monster's whistling.
* ItsQuietTooQuiet: After Star screams at everyone to quiet down, she then realizes that she can't hear or see anyone. Then Marco receives a distress text from Jackie.
* KillerRabbit: Janna initially scoffs at the "Universe's Most Dangerous Creature" being a harmless-looking creature made out of living yarn. Then Alfonzo and Ferguson accidentally let it out of its cage, and it swiftly captures everyone but Star, Marco, and Skullnick.
* LetsGetDangerous: When she learns that her students are in danger, Skullnick dons some armor, grabs an axe and gets into action.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: Marco's crush on Jackie causes him to send multiple silly texts to her and act largely oblivious to all the danger and chaos in the strange dimension. He even mistakes the text "HELP!!!!!!!" for an acronym.
* MamaBear: Downplayed, since Skullnick is still a {{Jerkass}} but she leaps to rescue her students when the String Monster captures all of them, fighting it to give them time to get on the bus.
* MesACrowd: Francis jumps into a black hole, causing him to split into four copies of himself.
* MundaneObjectAmazement: Star is initially amazed by the paper clip museum, but quickly realizes that her classmates don't share her enthusiasm.
* MuseumOfBoredom: The episode starts out with a class trip to the Echo Creek Paperclip Museum. It's as riveting as one would expect.
* NeverMyFault: One of the students jumps on an exploding pancake (against Star's wishes). When Star catches her, the student immediately asks why Star let her do that.
* TooDumbToLive: At least a few kids put themselves in mortal peril for no other reason than sheer stupidity, like Francis jumping into a black hole clearly marked with signs indicating danger and Justin trying to poke an ominous-looking electrified device.
* VetinariJobSecurity: As the only teacher around, Ms. Skullnick reveals that she has this in the strange dimension and Star messes up.
* IWarnedYou: You're in charge of about twenty students, and suddenly most of them disappear in an unfamiliar place. Ms. Skullnick gets really angry at Star, even though [[NeverMyFault she predicted it would happen]].
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: The troll display tells Skullnick that she has a lot of muscles, and gets to be "a teenager" again. This gives her a new lease on life.
