3[-(Yeah, we could've used a better rhyme.)-]]]
4"Kixx" is the tenth episodethird in production order of WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitchTheSeries. It first aired on October 20, 2003.
5
6A muscular, four-armed experiment begins to beat up people around Kauaʻi just as Stitch loses his fighting ability from eating macadamia nuts and a tennis shoe. Lilo must re-train Stitch so he can defeat the experiment.
7----
8A husband-and-wife couple is exploring the beauty of Kauaʻi during a nature hike on Makika Trail when the man throws his water bottle away over a cliff. Water trickles out of the bottle, washing over a blue pod labeled 601 and activating an angry purple creature with four arms. The creature jumps in front of the couple -- who mistake it to be a wild pig -- and proceeds to pummel them after punching the man into a palm tree.
9
10Over at Gantu's ship, he and 625 are alerted to the activation of Experiment 601, an experiment skilled in hand-to-hand combat, which leads a pleased Gantu (himself skilled at hand-to-hand combat) to go after it himself.
11
12Meanwhile, Lilo is watching an older boy named Keoni skateboard at the local gas station, while Stitch rummages through Keoni's backpack, eating a can of macadamia nuts and a left tennis shoe. Lilo decides to try Keoni's skateboard, but being completely unskilled at it, she falls off a couple times. Despite Keoni insisting that he gives her some lessons, especially on how to stop, she angrily refuses and leaves with Stitch, who returns Keoni's backpack and hurls out the boy's left shoe.
13
14Lilo and Stitch walk down the streets of Kokaua Town, but she notices that he is walking backward, not paying attention to where he's going, and smashing through a mailbox. Lilo tries to fix him with coffee at Kiki's Coffee Hut but to no avail. She then notices a disheveled-looking couple (the same one we saw earlier), and the woman tells her that a purple pig with four arms beat them up on Makika Trail. Lilo and Stitch head home to see Jumba, who tells them that it's Experiment 601, who is designed to pick fights like a bully and can defeat anyone except possibly Stitch. Lilo says that Stitch is undefeatable, and our duo head out to the trail with Stitch driving the X-Buggy... backward. (It's amazing that he doesn't run over anybody.)
15
16The duo stops at a spot on the trail when 601 jumps right on the buggy's hood. Stitch tries to start fighting the experiment, but he suddenly doesn't feel like fighting and falls into a mud puddle. 601 was about to hit Lilo when Gantu suddenly grabs the experiment, who easily turns the tables on Gantu and starts pummeling him. Lilo gets Stitch back up, and they flee back home while Gantu continues to be curb-stomped.
17
18Back at the Pelekai residence, Jumba diagnoses that the combination of palmitoleic acid from macadamia nut oil and tennis shoe rubber -- both from the things Stitch ate earlier -- caused a chemical reaction in his stomach to form Krazzonite, a toxic substance that caused Stitch's system to shut down like a computer, wiping out all his training memory. Stitch will have to be retrained on how to fight in order to defeat Experiment 601, and Lilo will have to retrain Stitch herself with a whole bunch of manuals Jumba has for her. Even though Stitch is initially annoyed at being retrained, after one TrainingMontage later, he's almost back to his old self, but he needs to go through one more lesson, Fighting Four-Armed Monsters. However, Stitch becomes too overconfident and runs off to fight 601 at Muscle Bay, an outdoor gym on Lahui Beach, when he sees a news report on TV about the experiment there.
19
20Lilo runs after him, taking a boy's skateboard and a helmet to get to Stitch as soon as possible. However, she is still inexperienced and doesn't know how to stop a skateboard. She passes by Keoni, who catches her before she headed straight into traffic. Lilo tries to continue going after Stitch, but Keoni tells her that he is not going to let her ride a skateboard again until he teaches her how to stop, to which she reluctantly agrees. Back on his ship, Gantu, now wearing a cast on his left leg, vows that he will not be made a fool of ("Too late," says 625) and that he will capture 601.
21
22601 arrives at Muscle Bay and beats up a few strong athletes there, scaring away everyone else. Stitch arrives and challenges 601 to a fight, but he still lacks the training needed to beat his "cousin" and gets knocked into the ropes of the boxing ring. Lilo finally arrives and tells Stitch that she can save him, but he has to let her teach him. Stitch agrees, and after following Lilo's instructions, he eventually manages to beat 601. Our winner passes out, and Lilo puts the experiments on a makeshift giant skateboard to bring them home.
23
24As Lilo heads off, Gantu, who was watching the whole fight between the experiments along with 625, jumps out and tries to take the experiments. However, Lilo tricks him into following her on a pier with the giant "skateboard". Gantu jumps on the "skateboard" and grabs the experiments, but he realizes that he can't stop. Lilo grabs some rope, lassos the "board", and yanks on it, causing Gantu to fall into the ocean with 625 laughing at him.
25
26While Lilo continues taking the experiments home, Stitch thanks her for the lessons, saying that "Teaching is good. Yeah, good." She asks him what are they going to do with his "cousin" Kixx (as she has named 601). Stitch responds that Kixx could be teaching others how to fight, and soon we find Gantu watching and repeating the moves of a commercial for a training video called Kickboxing with Kixx.
27----
28!!Experiments who appeared or were mentioned in this episode:
29* Kixx (X-601): This episode's MonsterOfTheWeek; a purple, muscular Tasmanian Devil-like (described as a pig by some characters) experiment with four arms who is designed to beat up people.
30* Reuben (X-625): We first see him making and eating a peanut butter and pineapple sandwich. When Gantu angrily asks him if he makes anything else besides sandwiches, 625 responds that he also makes panini.Italian for sandwiches. Later, he mocks Gantu for getting beaten up by Kixx, then joins Gantu in trying to get Kixx at Muscle Bay without fighting.
31----
32!!Tropes featured in this episode include:
33* AnAesop: It's important to teach others about things you're good at, and practice makes perfect.
34* BloodlessCarnage: Although Kixx beats up humans, they never show any blood, although one muscular man does get bruised.
35* ConvenientlyTimedAttackFromBehind: Gantu grabs away Kixx from behind just before the experiment could land a punch on Lilo. Unfortunately for the "Big Stinkyhead", Kixx starts beating him up instead.
36* CurbStompBattle: Gantu tries to fight against Kixx, but the experiment quickly and easily proves himself to be the superior combatant.
37* DoubleStandard: Almost every victim we see Kixx beat up is a male. He also beat up at least one female, but the pummeling happens off-screen after we see her husband get hurt first, and Kixx was also close to beating up a young girl (Lilo), but Gantu's intervention saves her from that. Point is, in a Disney show, it's apparently OK to show males getting beat up by other males (even non-human males), but males hurting females cannot be shown.
38* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Not only does Lilo not show any signs of her crush on Keoni nor is he a major focus of the episode's plot, but she also shows some barely concealed annoyance with him at times, such as when he stops her from skateboarding until he gives her a lesson on how to stop.
39* ExtremeOmnivore: Stitch eats macadamia nuts (still in their can) and Keoni's left tennis shoe, which combined cause a bad chemical reaction for the alien. He does vomit out the shoe shortly thereafter, but not in time to prevent the reaction.
40* FunnyBackgroundEvent: While Lilo tries skateboarding at the beginning, Stitch walks around randomly wearing Keoni's backpack on his head.
41* ImpactSilhouette:
42** Stitch leaves holes shaped like himself in a mailbox and the front steps of Kiki's Coffee Hut as he walks backward. He doesn't take any harm from the impacts, however. This is one of the rare instances of this trope that involves just walking instead of running. He also falls from the ceiling in Jumba and Pleakley's bedroom, suddenly losing his grip from climbing ceilings) and falls through the floor in Jumba and Pleakley's bedroom, leaving another Stitch-shaped hole.
43** During Stitch's fight against Kixx, Stitch flings Kixx through the backboard of a basketball hoop, making a Kixx-shaped hole in it.
44* KryptoniteFactor: Krazzonite causes Stitch’s training memory to be wiped, created from a reaction between palmitoleic acid and rubber from a tennis shoe.
45* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Kixx has four muscular (but non-retractable) arms, and there's a book on how to fight four-armed monsters like him.
46* MythologyGag: Stitch specifically takes (and eats) Keoni's left tennis shoe, which Jumba stated that Stitch was designed to do in the original film (well, except for the eating part, but that's just Stitch being Stitch).
47* NoodleIncident: Jumba states that he cannot retrain Stitch himself as the last time he did so, he slipped a disk in his back.
48* OhCrap: Gantu says his trademark "Oh, blitznak!" when he realizes that he's about to fall off the pier.
49* ShowWithinAShow: Kixx's "one true place" is revealed to be making a training video called Kickboxing with Kixx.
50* SpectacularSpinning: Kixx can spin his arms rapidly to punch out others.
51* TrainingMontage: Lilo and Stitch go through one for him to relearn his training, where he has to avoid being hit by a swinging handmade plush of Kixx, catch tennis balls from a tennis ball launcher, and jump through a hoop in his ball form. First, he fails, then he does OK, but not well enough, and then he finally gets back into top form.
52* WorfHadTheFlu: Stitch eating macadamia nuts and a tennis shoe forms a chemical compound that causes his physical training knowledge to be erased, which made it too easy for Kixx to beat him up.
53* WouldHurtAChild: Kixx was almost about to hit Lilo, but Gantu comes in just in time to fight the experiment.
54* WouldHitAGirl: Although we don't see him beat up any women, Kixx doesn't have any qualms against beating them up, as seen when Mary (the woman from the beginning of the episode) appears disheveled alongside Charles at Kiki's Coffee Hut. Also, he was going to beat up Lilo before Gantu comes in.
