!!Tropes featured:

* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Gender-flipped with Silverbolt, at least according to the bad girl he professes to seek redemption for.
* BlatantLies: No one (except Cheetor) believes Ravage's claim that the Transwarp Wave had weakened to a point where only the Predacons could detect it but they have no real choice but to work with him.
* TheBusCameBack: The Decepticon Ravage from ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformers'' returns as a Predacon agent.
* CleanUpCrew: Ravage is a one-'bot clean up crew. He gets in good with the Maximals for the sake of capturing Megatron, but it's clear that he's been ordered to ensure that no one on either side gets back to Cybertron.
* ContinuityNod:
** Footage from the [[Recap/BeastWarsS1E26OtherVoicesPart2 first season finale]] showing the Planet Buster's destruction, and the Transwarp Wave being released is reused.
** As a result of [[Recap/BeastWarsS2E9CodeOfHero the attack on their settlement]], the early humans have scattered meaning there's now little chance that Megatron can hunt them all down.
** During their meeting, Sea Clamp recalls how [[Recap/BeastWarsS1E11TheProbe the Maximal probes]] never found the ''Axalon'' or the ''Darksyde''.
* CoolShip: Ravage's ship.
* CurbStompBattle:
** The Predacons pound Sentinel's shield relentlessly causing power losses in the ''Axalon'', its shields to fail as well as managing to take down the automated guns. If Ravage hadn't shown up when he did, the Maximals might have lost the Beast Wars.
** Bolstered by Ravage's ship, the Maximals easily take the Predacon base. Helps that Tarantulas shut off the power.
* DemographicallyInappropriateHumor: Rattrap’s questioning of Silverbolt about his liaison with Blackarachnia is rather... pointed.
-->'''Rattrap:''' So, uh, where ya been, bird-dog?
-->'''Silverbolt:''' Uh, scout patrol...
-->'''Rattrap:''' Oh, yeah, yeah, scoutin' the enemy, yeah. ...Find any new positions?
* EvilIsNotWellLit: The Tripredacus Council's meeting chamber is illuminated by a single overhead light, with the rest of the room utterly blanketed in shadow. Justified, since the station they were on had just switched to emergency power after its systems were disrupted by the Transwarp wave.
* {{Foreshadowing}}:
** The special assignment that Megatron sends Waspinator on.
** When discussing the benefits of the cloaking device, Ravage admits they have another advantage, as well. The scene then cuts to Tarantulas racing towards the Predacon Base.
** Ahead of the attack on the Maximal Base, Optimus expects Megatron to do something desperate. When Cheetor asks if it's taking hostages, Optimus admits he's praying that's as far as it goes. He later has a very good idea what Blackarachnia's destination is.
** Silverbolt hesitates when Optimus orders him to stop Blackarachnia. He is reprimanded at the start of the next part for the secret relationship and confined to quarters for his behavior.
* FreudianTrio: The Tripredacus Council. Cicadacon is the Id, being outraged about Megatron's continued interference and angrily wanting him dealt with if for no other reason than for all the trouble he's caused. Sea Clamp is the Superego, logically stating the facts of the matter and arranging all the necessary details for Ravage's mission. Ram Horn is the Ego, fully agreeing with his fellow generals but balancing them out by maintaining focus on their goal of conquering Cybertron.
* GodzillaThreshold: Megatron contemplates whether it's time to cross it as he's being increasingly backed into a corner. Optimus lampshades that ''at the very least'' Megatron will try and capture the ''Axalon'' to use the Maximals as hostages if Cybertron sends reinforcements. Once Ravage's ship begins firing on the Predacons, Megatron decides it's time to time to cross it.
* GreaterScopeVillain: The Tripredacus Council are the leaders of the Predacon faction who are still scheming to take Cybertron back for themselves one day, and their slow-burn strategy is partially what inspired Megatron to go on his own way and start the events of the series. This is their only appearance, however, and they never meet the Maximals.
* HellYesMoment: Most of the Maximals when Rhinox confirms at what time the transwarp wave will reach Cybertron. Only Silverbolt remains calm about the whole thing, due to not knowing the place himself.
* {{Invisibility}}: Ravage. He can even link with his ship to cloak it.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: Megatron's FinalSolution towards the early humans in "Code of Hero" caused them to flee from their valley and scatter, making it impossible for such a plan to be implemented again.
* KissingDiscretionShot: When Silverbolt and Blackarachnia kiss in this episode it cuts to a shot of their feet just before they embrace, likely due to the limits of cgi animation at the time preventing an on-screen kiss.
* LeaveNoWitnesses: The Tripredacus Council orders this of Ravage.
* ManipulativeBastard: Megatron informs Waspinator of his special assignment in full view of Blackarchnia knowing she'll follow him.
* MetaphoricallyTrue: Ravage simply tells the Maximals that the Tripredacus Council would prefer to handle this situation discreetly. He's absolutely right about that; he's just lying about why the transwarp wave didn't make contact with Cybertron and what [[LeaveNoWitnesses the true endgame]] is for both sides of the Beast Wars.
* MinorMajorCharacter: The Tripedacus Council are the leaders of the Predacons and have their own plans to rule Cybertron. But their meeting this episode is their only appearance and while they do have a major impact by sending Ravage, they play no further role in the series.
* TheNoseKnows: While Ravage is invisible to the visible spectrum, Silverbolt is able to sniff him out.
* NotSoAboveItAll: As the Axalon's power fails, the normally composed Silverbolt get's a good dig in at Rattrap that Dinobot would certainly approve of.
-->'''Rattrap''': What now?
-->'''Silverbolt''': Well, given our close proximity, I breath through my mouth.
* OhCrap: Quickstrike and Inferno get the reactions to an invisible ship firing on them.
* PragmaticVillainy: The Tripedacus Council's reasons for wanting Megatron dead. They would prefer to take over Cybertron slowly through political manipulations, and Megatron's schemes pose a danger to their plans.
* RiddleForTheAges: Megatron stealing the Golden Disk immediately prior to the first episode left the Predacon Alliance facing some serious blowback from Maximal leadership on Cybertron. It's not stated what the exact repercussions were, but Cicadacon suggests it was very costly to the Predacons.
* ShoutOut:
** Cheetor is eager to spend time at Six Lasers Over Cybertron.
** [[Film/ApocalypseNow "Terminate with extreme prejudice."]]
** The Pax Cybertronia is reference to the Pax Romana of Ancient Rome.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Ravage never spoke in ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformers'' but has a heavy Russian accent here. He did speak in the comics however.
* ThisCannotBe: Megatron when he's arrested at the episode's end.
* TookALevelInBadass: Not that Ravage wasn't badass before but he's on a whole new level here.
* {{Understatement}}: Optimus is certain the Predacons will attack, saying it could be quite subtle. Waspinator and Inferno appeared to be in the midst of preparing something special, only for Rampage to storm in and fire a volley so devastating that it rocks the bridge.
-->'''Optimus:''' [[DeadpanSnarker Like I said, subtle.]]
