After his disappearance on the Floor of Tests due to Rachel's last minute betrayal, Twenty-Fifth Bam suddenly reappears five years later. Now, Bam is climbing the Tower under a new name, Jue Viole Grace. Under extreme circumstances, Bam's been molded into a potential Slayer candidate for the criminal organization, FUG, where he one day has to kill the people who rule over the Tower, King Jahad and his 10 Great Families. During the climb as Viole, he joins Team Sweet-and-Sour, a group of Regulars led by Ja Wangnan, which they take part in the 20th and 21st Floor tests to officially become E-Rank Regulars. The latter test being where Viole encounters one of the Tower's strongest Irregulars, Urek Mazino. While taking the tests, Viole is greeted by people from FUG who check on his situation to see if Wangnan's group is worthy enough to continue climbing the Tower alongside their precious upcoming FUG Slayer. It's also made clear that a faction within FUG led by the FUG Slayer, Karaka, does not agree with Viole leading the way as the organization's newest weapon.

Having reunited with his friends from the Floor of Tests, and successfully broken away from FUG with the Workshop Battle's Thorn at hand thanks to Gustang's interference, Viole re-establishes himself as Twenty-Fifth Bam. He and his companions return to climbing the Tower, and have now reached a point to be considered D-rank Regulars. Bam goes about creating a new team, and attempts a short-cut by boarding the Hell Train for D-ranks to skip from the Tower's 35th Floor up to the 43rd Floor. The 43rd Floor being where another piece of the Thorn is said to reside.

In addition, Rachel has also set her sights on the Hell Train with a new team to accomplish a goal of her own. Along with aiming to obtain the Thorn weapon for herself from the 43rd Floor, Rachel's also aiming to acquire a powerful ally by awakening a FUG Slayer named "White," who's trapped within the express. Karaka backing Rachel's goal as he also desires to see White's return. Meanwhile, Wangnan's Sweet-and-Sour have also set their sights on the Hell Train in order to chase after Cassano, who had stolen away Horyang's Living Ignition Weapon, which left him in a coma. Bam's journey eventually leads him to a hidden Floor where he encounters the Tower's King Jahad for the first time; an encounter that will have great ramifications on how things will play out within the Tower from then on.

Several years have passed since Twenty-Fifth Bam and his companions successfully evaded Jahad's forces that were waiting for him to exit the Hell Train at the 44th Floor's final train station. Rising up to C-Rank Regular status, Bam and his companions return to climbing the Tower. Having obtained the second Thorn piece that Rachel was after during the Hell Train journey, Bam had spent some time training with high-Ranker Evankhell in order to become powerful enough to one day face off against Kallavan; a high-Ranker officer in Jahad's army who defeated Bam's previous teacher, Jinsung, and took the latter captive. Bam then reappears on the 52nd Floor at FUG Slayer Baylord Yama's home known as the Cage; a fortress airship where Yama rules over a faction of canine people. Bam's overall goal being to begin cleaning up FUG, and to recruit Yama into helping rescue Jinsung. The rescue mission also has Bam and Karaka teaming up since Jinsung was the FUG mentor for both of them.

While trying to resolve the Cage mess, Bam and company are sent off to the 52nd Floor's Wall of Peaceful Coexistence due to Yama getting teleported there mid-battle. The wall being a kingdom that's said to be at peace from the chaos that's going on throughout the Tower. Within the wall kingdom, Bam and company work to try to stop Kallavan from teaming up with a powerful hero from the past who's been sealed there named Dowon.
