--> "If I didn't know better, I'd think this was an actual plot." said Raven.\
"Ten quid says the author just pulled this out of her arse fifteen minutes ago, then went downstairs to reward herself with a cookie." said Blue.\
"That is completely irrelivant." the 'Sue cut in. "Now, you two will be executed at dawn. I'm not without my mercy, I'll allow you to write your farewells to your loved ones."

A series of (really, really short) novellas available on Website/FictionPress, written by by @/{{Wolflette}}. They tell the tale of ComedicSociopath Blue and his reluctant companion Raven, as they travel the land of Acellevin fighting the scourge of cliches, flat characters and bad writing. Oh, and looking good doing so, of course. We can't have ugly heros.

The stories include several tropes, in many cases by name, and provide an affectionate parody of the fantasy genre.
So far the series consists of: [[http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2875691/1/The-big-bad-book-of-terrible-fantasy-writing The Big Bad Book of Terrible Fantasy Writing]], [[http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2921316/1/The-big-bad-book-of-MarySues The Big Bad Book of Mary Sues]], and [[http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2983592/1/Blue-and-Raven-s-Five-Man-Band Blue and Raven's Five Man Band]]. A year long, 100 word drabble a day project was recently started in the setting, and can be found [[http://theacellevinproject.blogspot.co.uk/ here]].

!!Acellevin includes examples of:
%%* AffectionateParody:
%%* AbusiveParents: Blue's parents, and undoubtedly some other characters as well.
* TheAlcoholic: Raven's implied to be turning into this at points, as a means of coping with Blue. As of "The Acellevin Project", he's acknowledged to be a full-blown Alcoholic and is making attempts to stay sober.
%%* AntiHero: Raven, though Blue's more of a VillainProtagonist.
%%* AssShove: One of Blue's many favorite threats, after disembowelment.
* BerserkButton: Trivialisation of rape, torture or abuse is this for Raven. Blue doesn't like it when you bring up his past.
* BrickJoke: Also serves as a ContinuityNod. Blue's murder of Queen Mary-Sue in Terrible Fantasy Writing is brought up in The Big Bad Book of Mary-Sues.
%%* TheChosenOne: Part of Raven's backstory. It didn't really work out for him.
%%* ComedicSociopath: Blue's entire characterisation.
%%* CoolHorse: Lampshaded for many heroes. Raven's mare might also qualify.
** As of "The Acellevin Project" she is now a cool winged horse.
%%* DarkAndTroubledPast: Lampshaded and mocked, also played straight with both Raven and Blue.
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: Gets an entire chapter in Terrible Fantasy Writing.
* DesignatedLoveInterest: [[invoked]]Discussed by name a few times in The Big Bad Book of Terrible Fantasy writing.
%%* DeusExMachina
%%* EmotionlessGirl: Well, actually a Guy, but Raven starts as this, but to what extent varies throughout the series.
%%* FunctionalMagic: "It's Magick"
* TheGoodGuysAlwaysWin: Lampshaded, averted, subverted, played strait and just outright fucked with depending on just who you see as the good guys
* GrammarNazi: Blue corrects the Narrator's grammar at the end. Actual Grammar Nazi's would probably be better off not reading the story.
%%* GroinAttack: Blue's not above these, with Raven being the most frequent Victim.
* {{Guyliner}}: Blue wears blue guyliner and face-paint.
* IronicEcho: "Oh, strike a nerve, did I? I'll remember that for future use. And I will use it against you at some point."
* KickTheDog: Blue does this constantly. Like everything else, it's either played for laughs or [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]].
%%* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: When not outright BreakingTheFourthWall, anyway.
* MadOracle: Blue's mother and Sister are stated to have been prophets, and they weren't much saner than Blue.
%%* MarySueHunter: Blue and Raven become this in 'The Big Bad Book of Mary-Sues'.
%%* NotSoAboveItAll: Raven has moments of this.
* OneWordTitle: The series is called "Acellevin".
%%* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: lampshaded, as with pretty much anything, though Blue's dwarven co-worker, Jernøks, is an accountant.
%%* RageAgainstTheAuthor: The 'Special' from Terrible Fantasy Writing.
** Constantly in "The Acellevin Project".
%%* RapeAsBackstory: Brought up in Terrible Fantasy Writing, specifically the AngstWhatAngst treatment many writers seem to give it.
%%* RapeAsDrama: Brought up in Terrible Fantasy Writing, specifically the AngstWhatAngst treatment many writers seem to give it.
%%* RedOniBlueOni: Blue being the Red Oni, Raven being the blue Oni.
%%* StraightMan: Raven.
%%* TastesLikeChicken: Raven, according to Blue.
%%* TotalPartyKill: Referenced by name in Terrible Fantasy Writing.
%%* TrainingFromHell: Part of Raven's backstory.
%%* WalkingShirtlessScene: Blue, for no good reason other than FanService.
* WhiteStallion: A random hero in Terrible Fantasy Writing is riding one, which is immediately [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] and PlayedWith when the stallion gets a little frisky at the sight of Raven's mare. Averted with Raven, who rides a black mare.
