1	* The Wastelands Stage has a stage fatality that launches flaming, screaming characters into a building by catapult, complete with a cartoony splat at the end and them sliding down while groaning in agony. 2	* Remember Sky Temple, and how Havik would comment "Aw MAN this is gonna SUCK" just before hitting the bottom? The dialogue made it back in... as something ''Taven'', the ''Edenian Prince'' says instead.
3	** In addition, Jax screams out "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH MY GOOOOOOOD THIS IS NOT HAPPENING TO MEEEEEE" before falling to his death. Although, the even funnier part is that the dialogue is also used for another character. ''Blaze'', the ''elemental being who is destined to stop the kombatants from triggering Armageddon''.
4	* Despite the intro being a very epic battle between the Forces of Light and the Forces of Darkness, there are a bunch of funny moments sprinkled about.
5	** Right as the two Forces clash, Hsu Hao roundhouse kicks Kenshi square in the face while Ermac clotheslines the hell out of Rain.
6	** Kitana briefly squares off against Kano before she gets launched away by Kintaro.
7	** After fending off against Quan Chi, Jax yells [[TemptingFate "What else you got?!?"]]. Cue him getting hit by Shao Kahn's hammer from behind.
8	** Shao Kahn swings his hammer at not only the Forces of Light, but also his ''own allies''. Some of which, such as Noob and Baraka, are caught off guard by it and can barely react before getting shunted by Shao Kahn. It almost becomes a FunnyBackgroundEvent.
9	*** Kahn ''does'' hit one of his allies with the hammer (Darrius), who gets knocked onto the pyramid, then falls off the pyramid in a slapstick-y way when it rises from the ground.
10	*** Another scene has Kabal try and take the hammer away from Kahn, either to stop his rampage or to use it himself. Kahn just shoves him aside.
11	** As the Pyramid of Argus emerges in the middle of the fight while the kombatants simply stare in awe of it, Stryker then decides to sucker punch Mileena before booking it to the top. The rest of the characters simply stare in shock for a few seconds, except Kira, who is visibly angry at Stryker for doing that.
12	*** Stryker also manages to stop Kabal from reaching the top and launches him back into the crowd. Kano ducks, leading to Kabal knocking over Noob and Kira instead.
13	** Bo Rai Cho vomits all over the steps to stop Kano and Kobra from reaching the top. Sheeva, however, isn't hindered by it and simply punches Bo Rai Cho off before ascending herself.
14	** Then there's Cyrax's reaction to being thrown off the pyramid by Sheeva:
15	---> Screw you!
16	** For whatever reason, Johnny Cage pushes Sonya off the pyramid during the climb to the top before getting [[TakingYouWithMe shoved off by Hsu Hao]].
17	* Fighting in the Armory? Knock your opponent into the conveyor belt at the center. The animation's the same regardless of the loser, but it's so funny watching them feebly attempt to escape the rock crusher (yes, even ''Shao Kahn'' or ''Onaga'', or again, '''''Blaze!''''')... Only to stumble and get crushed.
18	* In Konquest Mode:
19	--> '''Reiko''': Well done. Those were elite guards.\
20	'''Taven''': If you SAY so.
21	** Taven is considerably much snarkier than Shujinko was in the last game which probably helped endear him better to players. Another example is when he's searching for Delia's temple in Arctika. Clearly he has no time to help some monks save their missing abbot...except said abbot is the only one who knows exactly where the temple is. It doesn't help that the monks and their abbot are quite obsessed with the gods, much to the very-much demigod Taven's exasperation. The result is this line:

27	* After fighting Wu-Lae and gaining some information from him in "Konquest", Taven tells him he's free to go. Then we hear the trademark "FINISH HIM!"
