* Mark discovers he has superpowers when he accidentally throws a garbage bag into space. [[BrickJoke Several issues later, we see the garbage bag fall back down to Earth]], in front of a surprised Englishman and his dog.
** Later repeated when Mark accidentally throws his mortarboard into the distance during his graduation. At this point, the garbage bag is surrounded by a crowd of people who apparently believe (according to the one skeptic) that it was brought there by a sky god. Then, when said lone skeptic is hit by the mortarboard, the crowd immediately declares that he is [[TheChosenOne the sky god's Chosen One]].
*** Unfortunately, this funny little subplot receives a grim ending when the Flaxans invade London: a portal opens nearby, and angry alien warriors brutally murder the poor members of this goofy cult.
* Mark stealth moving his things into his dorm room while William's on the phone asking him when he's going to finally get there. This all happens over a matter of ''minutes'' due to Mark's super speed. William complains that he needs to know when Mark is going to get there so he can get some sleep, only for Mark to appear behind him, next to his now fully made bed, in his pajamas.
* On meeting the Martians, the comic has one of the most hilarious handwaves of AliensSpeakingEnglish possible.
--> Wait, are you speaking English?
--> [[VoodooShark No. What's English?]]
--> Oh.
* Mark's first meal on an alien planet results in something that can only be described as a CosmicHorrorStory [[ToiletHumor in his digestive system]].
** The gag takes up ''four pages'', and both Mark and ''[[NotSoAboveItAll Eve]]'' spend a large number of panels simply staring into the toilet. It starts with Mark acting like he's giving birth anally. Then when he goes to wipe, all he has is a tiny square of paper. Then he tries to flush it, and it refuses to work. And ''then'' Eve comes in to see what's wrong, much to Mark's embarrassment, and displays intense BileFascination with what he's deposited. She's thankfully able to find a button on the toilet that will take care of the problem... by apparently chopping up the excrement like a blender. The scene ends on a heartwarming moment, though, with Eve commenting that the event doesn't faze her and Mark is stuck with her.
* Thaedus revealing to Allen the Alien that he is a Viltrumite by removing his fake beard but not removing his real mustache.
* The uncomfortable MeetTheInLaws moment for Mark and Eve's parents; Eve tried to warn him. For the most part it goes okay, then Eve's dad has a private rambling speech with Mark where he thanks Mark for dating Even even though he knows she's not a virgin. Then he goes on and on about how having sex with a virgin feels different and what it was like when he had sex with Eve's mom who was a virgin. The next panel shows Mark sitting on the couch looking utterly horrified.
* TheReveal that the leader of the Viltrumites, the guy so powerful even Conquest is afraid of him, is a dead ringer for Music/FreddieMercury.
* In the aftermath of Mark and Eve's brutal fight with Conquest, TheCavalryArrivesLate where the first thing they see is a completely naked Eve (whose costume was destroyed when she let loose her powers). Monster Girl's first action is to cover Robot's eyes.
* The species of brutal, darwinistic conquerors being named for, of all things, their ''incredibly'' well kept mustaches.
* Thragg throwing a tantrum from his throne over his subjects developing a conscious for the humans they are supposed to view as cattle.
* The scene where Kregg gathers all the women he slept with, along with the children he sired from them, and tries (awkwardly) to explain why he did what he did and that he cares for all of them. It's funnier in the end when he uses his super-hearing to learn that he's needed in space... except based on how it appears, it looks like he's making up an excuse just to escape this conversation.
* Robot's final gambit to escape punishment from his multitude of enemies is to shuffle himself among an army of remote-controlled suits. Before he flees, he tries to talk with Monster Girl one last time only for his scorned ex-lover to rat him out to the protagonists.
--> [[OhCrap "Shit. Shit."]]
* In the final issue of the series, many future events are revealed. One particular one includes Mark stopping his teenage daughter Terra from engaging in a gang-bang with a person who performs MesACrowd, which she proudly admits much to his disgust!
--> '''Mark:''' That boy was ''beneath'' you.\
'''Terra:''' And beside me and top of me and ''behind'' me!\
'''Mark:''' That's ''not'' what I meant!
** In one of the future events, Mark is brokering an alliance with a warrior race, whose queen shows what she thinks of peace and attacks him with a sword. The look on Mark's face as the sword breaks is priceless.
