!!This movie provides examples of the following tropes:

* AccidentalMurder: Adam kills Wanda, a friendly prostitute, by snapping her spine. Then he accidentally kills Eddie, the blind homeless man and his only friend.
** When Victor tries to kill Adam, [[spoiler:Elizabeth tries to stop him, only for Victor to accidentally slice her neck open]].
* BlindAndTheBeast: Eddie befriends and takes pity on Adam, in which a bond forms for a short time. It takes a tragic turn, however, when he and Wanda are accidentally killed by him.
* BoomHeadshot: Office Banks shoots Adam in the head to avenge the cop he brutally kills. Unfortunately, this does not kill Adam. [[spoiler:Adam later returns the favor.]]
* TheCameo: ''[[Creator/TonyTodd Tony Todd]]'' appears in this movie as a blind homeless man who Adam befriends.
* DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength: Adam doesn't realize until it's too late that his inhuman strength has deadly consequences.
* DisposableSexWorker: Wanda, though not by intention as explained above.
* FrankensteinsMonster: With a more modern take.
* ParentalAbandonment: Adam is abandoned by Victor and Elizabeth.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: After having been deemed as a failure and abandoned by his creators and being treated as a monster during his wanderings, Adam pursues the people who have done him wrong and get revenge for their cruelty.
* SelfImmolation: [[spoiler:Adam does this to himself along with Elizabeth's body.]]
* SettingUpdate: The film adaptation takes place in modern day Los Angeles.
* ShootTheDog: A literal and tragic example. The stray dog that Adam befriended get shot by police trying to arrest him. In response, Adam beats the cop to death.
* ThatThingIsNotMyChild: When Adam refers to Elizabeth as his mother to authorities and she is brought in to see him, she denies knowing who he is.
