1Spiderweb Software is a plucky little game development studio from Seattle. Founded by Jeff Vogela.k.a. "indie development's self-declared Crazy Old Uncle In the Attic" in September 1994, it became the first successful Game developer of Western RPGs in the history of the genreif only because the distinction between "indie" or "auteur" and "publisher-backed" a.k.a. "AAA" games didn't really exist until the mid-90s and has been consistently releasing story-focused Projection [=RPGs=] with old-school TurnBasedCombat ever since. The studio currently consists of Jeff and his wife Mariann, and has never really been much bigger than that. Jeff does the programming and the writing, while Mariann does everything else, with graphic assets produced for them by contracted artists (who, in the past, have included Creator/PhilFoglio).
