Spiderweb Software is a plucky little game development studio from Seattle. Founded by Jeff Vogelnote  in September 1994, it became the first successful Indie developer of Western RPGs in the history of the genrenote  and has been consistently releasing story-focused isometric RPGs with old-school Turn-Based Combat ever since. The studio currently consists of Jeff and his wife Mariann, and has never really been much bigger than that. Jeff does the programming and the writing, while Mariann does everything else, with graphic assets produced for them by contracted artists (who, in the past, have included Phil Foglio).

For a retrospective of the studio's long history, see Jeff's GDC 2018 talk.
