!!Tropes associated with Comer and her roles:
* AnimalMotifs: Oddly enough, her most famous works have her being compared to a thoroughbred.
* ButtMonkey: For the most part, has played characters whose main existence have been defined by pain and humiliation.
* FakeNationality:
** She plays a Fake Russian as Villanelle, including putting on a Russian accent.
** She's Fake French as Marguerite in The Last Duel; this time she's NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent.
* IAmVeryBritish: A few of her roles where she plays Brits have her use a more formal, Received Pronunciation style accent in sharp contrast to her natural Liverpool accent.
* LargeHam: Very often. Just look at her performances in Killing Eve and Prima Facie to start.
* MsFanservice: Many of her roles draw attention to her beauty.
* OopNorth: She's from Liverpool and has historically had a very heavy Scouser accent when not acting. This seems to have become a bit less pronounced over time, especially when being interviewed on American programmes.
* TheOtherDarrin: In Series/TheWhiteQueen Elizabeth of York is played by Freya Mavor, while Comer was chosen to portray her in The White Princess.
* ReclusiveArtist: She used to be quite active on social media and would interact with her fans. Come 2020, when she was rumored to be dating a UsefulNotes/DonaldTrump supporter, she was the target of much harassment, to the point of her leaving Twitter and only using her Instagram to post about her projects. The numerous transgressions of fans stalking and harassing her probably didn't help much, either.
* StarMakingRole: She gained a bit of fame for her role as Elizabeth of York in Series/TheWhitePrincess in 2017, the first SpinOff / sequel series to The White Queen, although it was her widely-acclaimed performance as Villanelle in Series/KillingEve the following year that really put her on the map.
* TypeCasting: Throughout the 2010s and 2020s, she had a habit of 2016}} being cast as women who are raped or otherwise abused (either by partners or other people); even in one her earliest roles in Series/Vera, she was playing a woman who was being stalked by her abusive ex. Her famous role as assassin Villanelle comparatively stands out, given that, in Killing Eve, she's the one dishing out violence and stalking her love interest.
