[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1da82a3c7f050175e6bfefeb5af0873f.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HideyukiTanaka
Leader of the Autobots and hero of the universe.
----
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: His IDW incarnation portrays him as a crazed KnightTemplar with a ''bad'' case of religious fanatacism.
* {{BFS}}: His main weapon is the Saber Blade, a gigantic sword almost as long as his fully combined form.
* BigGood: He’s the leader of the Autobots.
* CombatPragmatist: [[spoiler:His final victory against Deathsaurus in the anime ultimately establishes him as this. He uses his SuperMode's head vulcan guns to shoot at Deathsaurus' left eye, damaging it and taking away Deathsaurus' depth perception, which causes the Decepticon emperor to narrowly miss his final attack on Saber during their final SingleStrokeBattle. Deathsaurus himself notices Star Saber's "fighting dirty", and is aptly surprised at this.]]
* DeathGlare: He isn't actually angry, but in his supermode his default expression looks like one.
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler:He is seemingly killed in Feminia's explosion at the start of ''Zone'', but is shown to be alive but injured later on.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of Optimus Prime from the original series.
* FragileFlyer: While Star Saber is known as a ShowyInvincibleHero, partway through the anime he undergoes a reinforcement procedure due to discovering he has two very significant weak points: his shoulders (where the ammunition for his starcraft alternate mode is stored) and the back of his legs (where his thrusters are located). In addition, while almost unbeatable in robot mode, he's shown to be much, much weaker in alternate mode where [[LogicalWeakness he can't use the sword skills he's so famous for]].
* FriendToAllChildren: Since he adopted Jan.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Star Saber tends to be the codifier for swordfighting Transformers.
* LargeAndInCharge: His full form is the size of a combiner.
* MasterSwordsman: Said to be the finest swordsmech in the universe.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: The Victory Combination is introduced midway to turn him into Victory Saber.
* NiceGuy: Star Saber is friendly and compassionate, sometimes even showing mercy to his opponents if they aren't causing harm anymore.
* ParentalSubstitute: To Jan, serving as his surrogate father after the death of his human parents.
* PrimaryColorChampion: He is a red and blue jet with yellow highlights.
* ShoutOut: His vehicle mode is based on the Core Booster from the ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'' compilation movies, and his helmet also contains vulcan guns, and in the episode "Awakening, Victory Leo", when he gets the combination upgrade, during his X-Ray, his face's x-ray has vents like the Gundam. This was intentional, as both of them were designed by Kunio Okawara.
* SuperMode: When he (as Saber) combines with the V-Star to form Star Saber.
* TheyCallHimSword: (Star) Saber.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rescue Patrol Team (レスキューパトロールチーム ''resukyū patorōru chīmu'')]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Kyōko Tongū (Holi), Creator/AyaHisakawa (Boater), Creator/TomokoMaruo (Fire), Creator/HinakoKanamaru (Pīpō)
----
* AdaptationalDyeJob: Boater and Holi's black plastic parts are depicted as white in the anime, though Holi still turns into a black police car with the relevant parts changing color between modes. This particular trait of Holi is removed when he reappears in ''Zone'', where his kibble stays black between modes just like the toy, though Boater still has his black parts be white.
* ButtMonkey: Almost all humor involving Holi is about his misfortune, such as a flashback of Jan growing up showing him as badly scratching Holi's paint job to his shock and horror.
* InsistentTerminology: Holi gets very shirty with the equally immature Rescue Patrol when they address him by name, rather than as "captain".
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Holi can be rather abrasive and loud-mouthed, but is genuinely well-meaning and helpful.
* KidAppealCharacter: Just like other Autobots fitting the trope, Holi is small and hangs around with the series' human.
* LoveMakesYouStupid: Holi isn't exactly a genius to begin with, but you can practically hear his brain melt when he's around Clipper.

[[folder:Victory Leo (ビクトリーレオ ''bikutorī reo'')]]
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/d4515db92cf4cad0dd9804577d7285e3.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HiroshiTakemura
----
* AdaptationalOriginConnection: His manga version, based on the original concept of the character, is an entirely new entity while his anime version is a resurrected God Ginrai.
* TheBerserker: Once Victory Leo gets going, it's hard for him to stop. Becomes a problem in one episode, when Deathsaurus threatens to bomb vast swathes of Earth if the Autobots try to stop his minions. Leo's not got the memo, and the Brainmasters have to stop him attacking the Dinoforce, but even after being told he still wants to attack.
* {{BFG}}: Leo's weapons are a set of ludicrously huge guns.
* CameBackWrong: His transformation from Ginrai to Victory Leo scrambled his memories, temporarily. Even afterwards, it's clear his personality is ''vastly'' different.
* CharacterDevelopment: He significantly mellows out over the course of a few episodes as per God Ginrai's resurrection being completed.
* GoodIsNotSoft: His introductory arc deals with how God Ginrai's personality has been repressed in favor of a vicious warrior. After God Ginrai's memories return, Victory Leo significantly mellows out, but still has moments of hot-headedness.
* MechaExpansionPack: He ''is'' the pack, combining with Star Saber into Victory Saber.
* PantheraAwesome: Victory Leo turns into a giant lion.
* VocalEvolution: Still voiced by the same VA as Ginrai and Leo, but Leo's voice is often considerably different from his past life.

[[folder:Greatshot (グレートショット ''gurētoshotto'')]]
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/greatshot.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MichihiroIkemizu
A six-changer mercenary, who used to be a Decepticon and former partner of Guyhawk.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: The ''Transformers Legends Comic: Volume EX (Greatshot)'' explains that he is [[spoiler:Sixshot from the ''Headmasters'' series, having taken up a new body and identity, both to escape judgement from the Six Clan, the ninja clan he betrayed, and for [[TheAtoner atoning]] for his crimes as Sixshot. He goes as far as resurrecting Jack, an Autobot friend of Chromedome who was murdered by Sixshot over the events of ''Headmasters''. Jack becomes his Headmaster partner for a while, but eventually Greatshot gains a new head of his own and the two part ways, with Greatshot eventually joining Star Saber's forces in ''Victory'']].
* AloofAlly: Greatshot is not the sociable type, but can and does make fast friends with young lads such as Jan and Holi, and goes out of his perpetual [[TheDrifter drifting]] ways in order to lend his personal friend, Star Saber, a helping hand in his war against Deathsaurus.
* TheAtoner: See spoilers for the {{Expy}} entry below.
* BackForTheFinale: Returns in the final episode to help stop Deathsaurus.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: While Greatshot sees himself as ultimately unaffiliated to any faction, his allegiance is with Star Saber because when they met each other, the Autobot leader treated Greatshot with much respect, regarding him as an equal despite knowing that Greatshot used to be a Decepticon. [[spoiler:Star Saber himself knows well who Greatshot was in the past, and has forgiven him for the things he did then.]] It's this respect, and the friendship that came with it, what Greatshot returns with unwavering loyalty to Star Saber.
* TheDrifter: As befitting a {{Ronin}} type. He was this before the Star Saber vs Deathsaurus conflict, and after that conflict's conclusion, he resumes his drifting from one battlefield to another, fighting the good fight in order to atone for his past crimes.
* {{Expy}}: Of Sixshot from ''Headmasters''. Justified since he [[spoiler:[[AllThereInTheManual is none other than Sixshot himself]], with a new body and name, and having joined the Autobots to [[TheAtoner atone]] for his crimes in his past as a Decepticon. It's presumably why he [[HeroicSelfDeprecation regards himself as a runt]] even as a good guy, and also explains how he met the Breastforce warrior, Guyhawk, as well as the Crossformers Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow.]]
* HeadSwap: He has the same body-type as Sixshot, albeit with different robot and beast heads. [[spoiler:Not to mention he was actually a Headmaster at some point between ''Headmasters'' and ''Victory''.]]
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: Like the other six-changers of the Japanese continuity, Greatshot started out as a ninja. [[spoiler:He was actually Sixshot from ''Headmasters''.]]
* PrimaryColorChampion: Downplayed in that his (otherwise heroic) color scheme includes black and he was a villain in the past, but he does have red, blue and white and is a good guy in ''Victory''.
* RhinoRampage: Greatshot's animal form is a rhino (with wings).
* {{Samurai}}: He is characterized like this, using a lot of ancient, samurai-esque modisms in his speech pattern, albeit his life style is more in line with the {{Ronin}} variety, basically a Japanese counterpart to a traditional European KnightErrant.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: With the Crossformers and Guyhawk, back when he was a Decepticon. The Crossformers betrayed him, while Guyhawk's pretty pissed when he learns Greatshot's gone Autobot.

[[caption-width-right:210:Road Caesar]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KojiTotani (Blacker and Road Caesar), Creator/HirohikoKakegawa (Braver), Creator/ShingoHiromori (Laster)
A trio of Autobots using experimental technology, consisting of Blacker, Braver and Laster.
----
* CombiningMecha: They combine to form Road Caesar.
* GadgeteerGenius: Laster is the most skilled technician in the Autobot army, and often whips up handy gadgets for fighting the Decepticons.
* {{Jerkass}}: Blacker is spectacularly rude and condescending to Wingwaver at first, dismissing him as just a kid. Wingwaver disobeying orders to save his life, and Star Saber telling him to knock it off, gets him to lighten up.
* NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup: There's only four Brainmasters (the fourth is Saber himself). According to backstory given in ''Ask Vector Prime'', this is because the Autobots scuttled the project when the Decepticons tried to grab the tech for themselves, and no-one was able to reproduce it afterwards.
* PowerTrio: Blacker, Braver and Laster.

A group of three (or six) Autobots who can combine with one another, and into Landcross.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: Machtackle get their own spotlight episode, namely "Mach and Tackle".
* CombiningMecha: They can combine to create Landcross.
* ElementalMotifs: The Multiforce has a ClassicalElementsEnsemble, plus SolarAndLunar.
* IfItSwimsItFlies: Waver's boat mode can move around in space.
* LandSeaSky: Wing and Mach are the Sky, Dash, Tacker and Tackle are the Land and Waver is the Sea.
* LeaderFormsTheHead: Wing is the leader and Wingwaver serves as the head and torso of Landcross.
* TheLoad: Dashtacker accidentally foul up a mission when they get stuck in a river, something Yokoryu spots.
* NewMeat: They're pretty new to the war, which leads to conflict between Wingwaver and Blacker.

[[folder:Galaxy Shuttle (ギャラクシーシャトル ''gyarakushī shatoru'')]]
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/galaxy_shuttle.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ShingoHiromori
An Autobot who turns into a space shuttle, usually either just occupying the background or serving as a ride for the others.
----
* AdvertisedExtra: He gets an impressive scene in the opening sequence every episode, kicking Goryu in the face, but in the show...
* TheBigGuy: Physically, the largest of Star Saber's troops, being as he is a space shuttle, being large enough to loom over Liokaiser when he actually fights.
* BlowYouAway: In the second episode, he uses his exhaust to blow the Dinoforce away. In space. Somehow.
* ADogNamedDog: Galaxy Shuttle turns into... a space shuttle. As ''Ask Spacewarp'' would put it decades later, "someone was named by a Functionist, know what I'm sayin'?"
* {{Expy}}: Of Jetfire/Skyfire from the original series. Large, transforms into a huge aircraft/spacecraft to transport the others inside, also a powerful warrior on his own but generally tends to be kept irrelevant to the plot. Design wise, he got his own {{Expy}} in the form of ''Anime/TransformersArmada'' Jetfire, aptly enough.
* ItsAllMyFault: Blames himself when Jan is abducted by Hellbat, because Jan had seen him stuck and come to see what was going on, allowing Hellbat to grab him.
* StoryBreakerPower: His large size means he's often left out of the plot, though sometimes he'll just completely vanish or be a non-entity regardless.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Apparently he's much less effective in water.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Deathsaurus (デスザラス ''desuzarasu'')]]
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dezaras.png]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TakeshiAono
The current Decepticon Emperor of Destruction, who has a grudge against Star Saber for getting his space fortress stranded millennia ago.
----
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: The manga version is much nicer, adopting a human son, and eventually making peace with Star Saber, when it's revealed he has a wife.
* AdaptationalWeaponSwap: His toy has a rifle with a non-functioning flail under the barrel. The show ditches the rifle in favor of the flail and a fiction-only sword. When he does get a gun in the form of the Living Metal Destroying Cannon, it's an entirely different design from his toy's gun. Tigerbreast's gun form is changed to a bow and arrow form, giving Deathsaurus an archery aspect the toy lacks.
* ArchEnemy: To Star Saber.
* BadBoss: He is constantly abusing his men. In the finale, [[spoiler:he leaves the Dinoforce on Earth to die when he destroys the planet.]]
* BigBad: As the current leader of the Decepticons.
* CombiningMecha: The ''Combiner Wars'' Liokaiser includes Deathsaurus as the torso piece.
* DragonsAreDemonic: He's a ruthless tyrant whose alt mode is a dragon.
* {{Expy}}: Of Megatron from the original series.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: His manga version has a wife.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: His manga version, which his toy bio is based on, has a soft spot for human children.
* EvilIsPetty: Pretty much the name of his game. He makes a device to fire missiles at the Earth with a timer set to fire them in the amount of time it would take Star Saber to reach it, and in the finale, he makes it clear that he doesn't want Star Saber dead yet so he can witness the destruction of the Earth. Adding to that, the entire reason he wants to ''destroy'' the Earth instead of ''conquer'' it like his predecessors is to show how better he is than them.
* HeroKiller: Well, almost. He killed God Ginrai (who had became a sentient Transformer at the end of ''Masterforce''). Too bad the Autobots resurrect Ginrai as Victory Leo.
* InconsistentSpelling: His name has been spelled a lot of ways, mainly Deszaras or Deathsaurus.
* {{Kaiju}}: His alt mode.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's as big as Star Saber.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: ''Death''saurus.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: He doesn't go to battle often, so sometimes it seems as if Leozack was the Decepticon leader. Of course, Deathsaurus never loses a chance to remind him the pecking order.
* PetTheDog: He is shown petting his Breast Animal partners from time to time, indicating he has a sense of sentimentality for them compared to how he views everyone else as tools.
* StupidEvil: A lot of his plans would be more successful if he wasn't so petty. When he first unveils the Living Metal Destroying Cannon, he decides to plug himself into it and give Star Saber a more painful death only to deplete all of his energy and be unable to deal the killing blow. In a later scheme where he builds a machine to launch missiles at the Earth should the Autobots interfere with his soldiers stealing energy, instead of having the missiles fire right away, he set a timer so that they would fire in the amount of time it would take for Star Saber to reach the machine, which fails when the Victory Combination lets Star Saber fly faster than the calculated time.
* TookALevelInBadass: Early appearances had Star Saber defeating him without much difficulty. Later in the show he became more of a threat.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: His manga version is terrified of caterpillars.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dinoforce (恐竜戦隊 ''kyōryū sentai'')]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/DaisukeGori (Goryu and Dinoking), Masashi Hironaka (Doryu), Hiroyuki Satō (Gairyu), Masato Hirano (Kakuryu), Shinobu Satouchi (Rairyu), Creator/HirohikoKakegawa (Yokuryu)
Six Decepticon Pretenders with dinosaur-like shells. They are Doryu, Gairyu, Goryu, Kakuryu, Rairyu and Yokuryu, forming together to create Dinoking.
-----
* AdaptedOut: Unlike the Pretenders from ''Masterforce'', they are never shown in their alternate modes, probably because the leftover monster modes from the Monster Pretenders they are repainted from would clash with their changed theme. Despite this, their animation models still feature the toy's monster KibblesAndBits.
* AdaptationalWeaponSwap: The Dinoforce toys come with guns for their weapons, but the anime portrays them with melee weapons instead. Kakuryu is unique among the team in that he is given [[LittleUselessGun a tiny pistol]] (which is still different from his toy's gun) along with his fictional axe.
* AffablyEvil: Kakuryu isn't really evil and more comes across as a friendly guy in the wrong crowd.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Utterly stupid though they are, they did manage to kill Jan's parents.
* CatchPhrase: Kakuryu messes up so often that his catchphrase is "I'm sorry!"
* CombiningMecha: They form Dinoking.
* TheDividual: Goryu and Kakuryu are the only members of the team with a stand-alone presence. The other four are pretty much only there for group shots and rarely get scenes to themselves, with most of their dialogue being in unison battle-cries.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: Goryu feels that he gets passed over for recognition way too much. Hellbat's able to sweet talk him into assisting with one scheme by flattering him.
* DumbassHasAPoint: During "Jan! Defend the Campus", the Dinoforce had been planning to attack Jan's school until they see what looks like a new Autobot, and get cold feet. Kakuryu, of all people, momentarily gives Goryu pause by pointing out they don't know what this new guy's capable of, and how that might spoil things. Goryu concedes the point... and then they attack ''anyway''.
* DumbDinos: Everyone but Goryu. Together, the team has the combined brains of a fruit loop.
* DumbMuscle: The main reason Deathsaurus keeps them around.
* EasilyForgiven: It's in fact easy even for the audience to forget that these goofy and wacky dinos were directly responsible for the death of Jan's parents when they attacked the space station where Jan's parents were working as astronauts. They do have sympathetic traits (besides being comical) such as being loyal to each other, Goryu even gives crucial information for the heroes to achieve the final victory, and they all do redeem themselves in the end, but they do get away with making Jan an orphan.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: In their first scene, the Dinoforce run off to wreck a space station, leaving behind a comically-panicking Kakuryu to show while the rest of the team can be a threat when they need to, Kakuryu sure won't.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: They all care for each other deeply. On one occasion where they are at Star Saber's mercy, Goryu begs the rest of the Dinoforce to retreat while he holds their foe back, only for them to insist he retreats while they sacrifice themselves instead. Star Saber is touched and lets them all leave in peace.
** The manga counterpart gives them children. Try not to think too hard about it.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: They've got no problem with most of the day-to-day parts of being Decepticons, but Hellbat threatening to hurt Jan unnerved most of them (except Goryu).
* EvilSoundsRaspy: Yokoryu has a voice like his VA was going for a bird-man of some kind.
* TheGuardsMustBeCrazy: Kakuryu once got put on guard duty. His prisoners almost managed to sneak away because he fell asleep, and later did get away because he was so asleep Fire manages to drive right up to him and cover him in foam.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:By the end of the series, they're living peacefully on Earth as construction workers, though Kakuryu chooses to work at an amusement park instead. Later Japanese continuity material would even depict Kakuryu joining the Dinobots and renaming himself Grimmaster]].
* HiddenDepths: At one point Goryu scrambles to catch some Energon cubes midair that Kakuryu dropped and manages to stack them in both his arms and on his head. [[LampshadeHanging Leozack smugly says that Goryu has a special ability after all.]]
* HorseOfADifferentColor: Goryu tends to ride around on his Pretender shell.
* InformedAttribute: Their toy bios give them all manner of attributes and abilities which if they ever displayed once in the show proper would've given the Autobots a much harder time.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Goryu is abrasive and hot-headed, but he cares for his men deep down.
* LaughablyEvil: Their threat is severely diminished by how much slapstick they are victim to. Kakuryu in particular is pretty much the show's main source of humor.
* LittleUselessGun: In the anime, Kakuryu is sometimes shown with a tiny pistol he fails to do any damage with.
* MeanBoss: Goryu frequently yells at and clubs the others to get them moving, Kakuryu especially. He also won't let them take time off. No vacations in ''this'' Decepticon's army!
* MinionWithAnFInEvil: Kakuryu loves humans, is fairly kind, and too bumbling to succeed at anything evil. It's no surprise that he canonically became an Autobot later on, even taking the name "Grimmaster".
* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: [[spoiler:After Goryu realizes Deathsaurus left the Dinoforce on Earth to die, he tells the Autobots how exactly to disable his fortress.]]
* PaletteSwap: Of the American Pretender Monsters with new dinosaur Pretender Shells.
* PowerPincers: Goryu has claws instead of proper hands. Unusual given his toy is sculpted with hands.
* RedemptionEarnsLife: [[spoiler:They help the Autobots stop Deathsaurus' fortress and are the only crewmembers of the Thunder Arrow to still be alive by the end of the series.]]
* ThemeNaming: The "ryu" suffix, which means "[[DinosaursAreDragons dragon]]" in Japanese.
* TerrifyingTyrannosaur: Goryu's shell is a T-Rex, and he's the most reasonably competent of the Dinoforce.
* UndyingLoyalty: For all the discipline Kakuryu gets from Goryu, he's the first to try and restrain Victory Saber so his leader can escape.
* VillainDecay: They are initially a reasonable threat in the early episodes (and Jan's parents died because of them), but are a joke by the end.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KeiichiNanba (Leozack and Liokaiser), Masato Hirano (Drillhorn), Creator/HochuOtsuka (Guyhawk), Creator/YokuShioya (Hellbat), Creator/HirohikoKakegawa (Jallguar), Kazumi Tanaka (Killbison)
Six Decepticons whose breastplates can turn into beast partners or weapons. They are Drillhorn, Guyhawk, Hellbat, Jallguar, Killbison and Leozack (leader), and form together to create Liokaiser.
----
* AdaptationalWeaponSwap: Their toys ''only'' have their Breast Animal partners as their weapons, and Liokaiser only gets a gun made up of Killbison's tank barrels and Jallguar's missiles. You wouldn't know that from the anime, where they primarily use fiction-only staffs that can change to sanjieguns, and Liokaiser's staff can launch spiked rings.
* AdaptedOut: Jallguar and Leozack weren't imported to the ''Combiner Wars'' toyline, instead replacing them with Deathsaurus.
* AnimalMotifTeam: They're all named and themed after animals without actually turning into them.
* BoringButPractical: Drillhorn actually comes up with a plan of the week in one episode, and it actually came close to working. Then Leozack decided to hijack it because he thought he knew better.
* BoxedCrook: Guyhawk starts the series off in prison on the planet Micro, until he's busted out partway through the series.
* ButtMonkey: Hellbat is constantly humiliated, much of it [[LaserGuidedKarma self-inflicted]]. At one point he gets stuck between two trees and yells to no one that he hates the jungle.
* CharacterDeath: Liokaiser is killed by being thrown into Deathsaurus' fortress' main weapon, which drains his energy entirely.
* CombiningMecha: They form Liokaiser.
* CurbStompBattle: Most of Liokaiser's fights have him dishing this out, even against Star Saber. He gets extremely close to killing Star Saber in his first appearance, only for God Ginrai to arrive and pull a BigDamnHeroes.
* TheDragon: Leozack is Deathsaurus' second in command and, most of the time, the leader in the battlefield.
* DubNameChange: When the characters were finally imported to the ''Combiner Wars'' toyline, Hellbat was renamed Fellbat and Killbison was renamed Ironbison.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes:
** For as much of a scumbag as Leozack is, he sounds like he's genuinely holding back tears upon seeing Deathcobra's corpse, saying he had been looking forward to working with him again.
** Leozack's manga version has a sister, Lyzack.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Hellbat's first course of action when he hears Deathcobra is to replace him is to try to convince him to return home, and then becomes remorseful when he accidentally kills him. Evidently, Hellbat is a scheming scumbag who will sabotage others, but he doesn't want to ''kill'' his colleagues.
* FlippingTheBird: Killbison's transformation StockFootage ends with him giving the finger to whoever is in front of him.
* ForcedSleep: Hellbat can make others fall asleep by chanting "Hypnosis, slumber, hibernation, HELLBAT!"
* TheFriendNoOneLikes: Jallguar, Killbison and Drillhorn are pretty clear on the fact they hate Hellbat, and given half the chance would happily tear his head off. Only the schmuck's talent for talking his way out of peril and the fact they need him to form Liokaiser stays their hands.
* HiddenDepths: Killbison isn't too bad of a singer and is at one point shown casually using a bunch of knives as throwing darts to impale a picture of Star Saber while being quite good at aiming them.
* AnIcePerson: Guyhawk's Ice Needle ability lets him shoot icicles from his knuckles.
* InconsistentSpelling:
** Depending on the source, Guyhawk's name may be given an alternate spelling as "Gaihawk".
** Jaruguar, Jallguar and Jaruga are all possible spelings.
* KarmaHoudini: While Hellbat generally has his plans blow up in his face, the one crime he is never caught for is killing (albeit accidentally) Deathcobra and pinning the blame on the Autobots.
* KnightOfCerebus: Liokaiser. He nearly kills Star Saber in his debut, and with him the Decepticons actually start winning.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Hellbat's plans generally blow up in his face. After spending an entire episode trying to steal secrets from the Autobots, it turns out he only succeeded in stealing Jan's homework and doesn't realize this until he's showing Deathsaurus what he gathered.
* OldSoldier: Drillhorn is a veteran among the Decepticons (even though at this point in a several million year war, they should ''all'' be veterans).
* ShouldersOfDoom: The anime reinterprets Hellbat and Guyhawk's landing gear, which become forward-facing protrusions in robot mode, as upward-facing spikes.
* TheStarscream: Leozack to Deathsaurus, and Hellbat to Leozack. The former doesn't get much success and got humiliated by Deathsaurus, putting an end to his plans. The latter had some success in making Leozack look bad, but also ended up making himself look bad as well.
* TankGoodness: Killbison turns into a tank.
* ThisIsADrill: Drillhorn turns into a drill-tank.
* WouldHurtAChild: Hellbat takes Jan hostage and threatens to torture or just kill him to get the Autobot secrets he thinks Jan has.
* ZergRush: A common strategy they use in fights is having their Breast Partners dog-pile Star Saber.

The Decepticons' intended replacement to Hellbat in the Breastforce. He was accidentally killed by Hellbat.
-----
* {{Foil}}: He and Hellbat serve as a nice contrast from each other. Hellbat is self-serving and willing to backstab others to get what he wants, [[DirtyCoward and quickly tries to backpedal on shooting Deathcobra the first time once it turns out he didn't really want to go through with his threat]]. Deathcobra is loyal to Leozack, only going to planet Micro because he asked him to, and despite not liking Hellbat, he still considers him an ally and won't mention any of their conversation, at least until Hellbat shoots him and Deathcobra becomes dead-set on killing him.
* NobleDemon: He admits he only came to planet Micro because Leozack asked him to, and says he won't mention his conversation with Hellbat because he still considers him an ally (until he shoots him, that is).
* ToylessToylineCharacter: He died too soon to justify a toy release.
* VillainousFriendship: He is stated to be good friends with Leozack.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He died in his debut episode killed by a lucky shot from Hellbat.
