!!!The Hopalong Ralphcakes
%%* AHouseDivided
%%* TheBusCameBack
%%* LawOfChromaticSuperiority
* WorldOfHam: With Arthur, Puck, Wolfgang, Kavren, Nic, Chelsey, Elena, and later Julia, this team is basically a competition to see who can ham it up the most.

!!!The Swagged Out Citrus Fruits

%%* AHouseDivided
%%* TheBusCameBack
%%* DwindlingParty
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: According to WordOfGod, this team was originally supposed to be called the Tricked Out Citrus Fruits, but due to Trick being on the team, it was changed.
* WorldOfSnark: As opposed to the Ralphcakes' WorldOfHam, this team is more of this due to having about four different [[DeadpanSnarker Deadpan Snarkers]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Host]]
!!!Roz - The Maniac
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roz_3.png]]
After finishing in second place on the previous season, Roz's "consolation prize" is hosting this season. However, she's pretty inexperienced in the world of reality television hosting, and therefore makes some pretty questionable decisions over the course of the season.
* AssPull: In-universe, Roz is fond of these. Many of the challenges in this season are simply just excuses to help her out with some sort of problem she's having, such as retrieving her stolen phone or buying her food from UsefulNotes/McDonalds.
* BlatantLies: When the contestants meet her new boyfriend, Red, she initially claims that he's her cousin from Maine, right after making out with him.
* CloudCuckoolander: Roz's quirky, offbeat personality hasn't changed despite her being in a much more professional role this season.
* GenkiGirl: To a ridiculous degree.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Roz's real name is Rosalind.
* ReallyGetsAround: Roz has been involved with many men over the course of her two seasons - she's had two long-term boyfriends, Chaz and Red, as well as her on-and-off attraction to Tolkien, and not to mention Mr. Chapman. She's also implied to be very into hookups.
* TheNicknamer: Part of her unique way of speaking involves giving nicknames to almost all of the contestants.
* TheRunnerUpTakesItAll: Due to being the runner-up of Total Drama Tokyo, she was able to host this season while winner [[RichBitch Layla]] was forced to compete again.
* TitleDrop: Roz begins and ends each chapter with one of these.

[[folder:Contestants]]
!!!Alex - The Lazy Bum
-> "''If I get eliminated, who cares? I'll just have more time to sleep.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alex_93.png]]
Veteran of Total Drama School and ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'', placing 4th and 14th respectively. He was known for being extremely lazy and docile, yet somehow getting to the final four of School thanks to his odd relationship with resident GenkiGirl Sharissa.
* BilingualBonus: The GratuitousRussian he speaks as Vladimira Rastalilenibachevin is... very interesting if translated.
* DeadpanSnarker: Occasionally, though it's not as pronounced as some others.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Devin and Trick, against his will.
* HistoryRepeats: Is eliminated for being a lazy sack, just like ''both'' of the past seasons he competed in.
* LazyBum: It's his official label.
* TheLoad: His lazy, lethargic nature doesn't do much to help out his team.
* [[MyGreatestSecondChance My Greatest Third Chance]]: Subverted, places low just like in Tiki Jungle, finishing 17th out of 23.
* OneSteveLimit: The only subversion in the cast, as Smoothie Guy's name is Alex Nichols - but he's OnlyKnownByHisNickname.
* TheStoic: Shows absolutely no emotion while talking.

!!!Arthur - The Loudmouth
-> "''My peanuts are loooose!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arthur_35.png]]
The runner-up of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'', Arthur is a portly individual who's fond of spouting out non sequiturs, often involving his morbid obesity or loose peanuts, and annoying others (especially Julia). He's returned with a bizarre new alter-ego, 'Puber T.'
* {{Acrofatic}}: Usually averted, he can barely run for very long without running out of breath. However, he does show random bursts of power in certain challenges, similar to Puck.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Julia definitely doesn't reciprocate Arthur's feelings towards her, though [[spoiler: after they're both eliminated, they decide to form somewhat of a truce and start hating each other slightly less]].
* AmbiguouslyBrown: According to WordOfGod, he's meant to be biracial with a white mother and black father.
* ArchNemesis: Julia, naturally, although it's mostly one-sided. Arthur's greatest enemy in his book is probably Trey.
* BelligerentSexualTension: Later chapters revealed that his arguments with Julia are actually this (on his side, at least) - he's had a crush on Julia for years.
* CatchPhrase: Arthur has "I'm morbidly obeeeese!" and "My peanuts are loooose!".
* DeadpanSnarker: Surprisingly sometimes.
* FatAndProud: Like he says, "I'm morbidly obeeeese!"
* FatAndSkinny: The fat guy to Kavren's skinny.
* FatBastard: Not only is Arthur overweight, he's also an obnoxious buffoon.
* FatBestFriend: To Kavren.
* TheGadfly: Frequently tries to get a rise out of his ArchEnemy, Julia, for no reason at all. Also, to [[JerkassWoobie Trey]].
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: With Julia. He's not significantly taller than her, but much wider.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Arthur isn't a pleasant person to be around by any means, but he's got a soft side. He's legitimately torn up when his friends (such as Kavren and Puck) get voted out, and after he reveals his crush on Julia, it's obvious he cares about her deep down.
* LargeHam: Arthur always makes a deliberate effort to act as hammy as possible.
* TheLoad: He's this on his ''better'' days.
* MaliciousMisnaming: To Trey. His various nicknames include "Santa," "Father Christmas," and "Matt," for the sake of pissing Trey off.
* TheMillstone: Arthur is extremely sedentary and rarely contributes anything to challenges, usually focusing on pissing off his teammates instead.
* TheNicknamer: Will call Trey anything except his actual name.
* PluckyComicRelief: Is one of the two main ones, along with Puck.
* TheScrappy: In-universe example. As shown in the [[AllThereInTheManual pre-season biographies]], Arthur is the producers' least favorite contestant ever, only brought back because they needed another male from Tiki Jungle and [[JerkJock Manty]] was busy with lacrosse.
* SlapSlapKiss: Arthur seems to believe that this is the case between him and Julia, and there's some ShipTease initially to prove it, especially with the multiple kisses. However, she still hates him. They end up agreeing to have a truce and become JustFriends (or Just Acquaintances).
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Arthur acquires an absurd amount of focus for the first few chapters. It's later balanced out, but he's still the main comic relief character of the story.
* StoutStrength: Although he's not very athletic, his sheer girth allows him to break things easily.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Julia joins his team after an AssPull of a switch, and he's then reluctantly forced to work with her. This is later brought back when they're paired together in a wedding challenge (for the second time).
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Kavren, and Puck after Kavren's elimination.

!!!Chelsey - The Popular Girl
-> "''Ohhhhhhhhhhh, you're one of the invisible girls! The ones who do nothing and mostly fade into the background at school! Man, I need to help you, big time. What's first? Hmmm. Makeup, clothing, or personality? I'll send you the DVD of Nebraska Shore's first season soon.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chelsey_4.png]]
Fanfic/TotalDramaRevolution's fifth-placer. Her first time around, Chelsey didn't do much other than watch [[BlandNameProduct Nebraska Shore]] with her [[HeterosexualLifePartners best friend Elle]] and judge people's popularity, but nonetheless became a [[EnsembleDarkhorse massive fan favorite]]. She's returned to the show to boost her Popularity Points (PP) even further.
* AlphaBitch: Starts off as this, but eventually becomes a LovableAlphaBitch especially compared to Elena.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: She's half-Cuban and also loves tanning.
* AttentionWhore: Chelsey's love of being popular makes her one. She has a massive breakdown when she finds out [[invoked]] [[EnsembleDarkhorse Flora]] is winning the online popularity polls.
* BerserkButton: Anything Elena says or does, as well as unpopular people.
* BittersweetEnding: Despite losing to Wolfgang in the end, Chelsey has a couple of emotional wake-up calls and leaves the show with a couple great friends and a new relationship with Donny, as well as $50,000 from Flora.
* BreakoutCharacter: Big time. She was a relatively minor character in [=TDRev=], mostly acting as second fiddle to Elle, but soon became popular due to her interesting design and her love of scarves. She was brought back because of this, became one of the main characters, and made it to the final two.
* ButNotTooWhite: Chelsey's very proud of her tan.
* EnemyMine: With Elena for a bit, though they hate each other too much to make it work.
* FagHag: She's very excited when Trey "comes out" to her.
-->"Wow, gay guys like you really are a lot like me! I guess that’s why they love me!”
* GirlPosse: Tries to make one with [[FlatCharacter the "boring girls"]] Flora, Mackenzie, and Veronica, but things don't go as planned.
* IconicOutfit: Her scarf.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Perhaps Chelsey's worst quality is that she's incredibly selfish and will connect any situation back to how it bodes for her popularity.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Flora is the Light to her Dark.
* MotorMouth: A downplayed trait of hers. Other characters will usually say a sentence or two at a time, while Chelsey's dialogue is often entire paragraphs.
* MsFanservice: Both in and out of universe - she's gathered a posse of fanboys.
* MyGreatestSecondChance: Chelsey ended up finishing in 2nd place, in contrast to Total Drama Revolution, where she placed 5th. She has also had a bigger story and more focus compared to last time as well.
* MyNaymeIs: The spelling "Chelsey" isn't very common, but her name was intentionally spelled like this for a couple of reasons.
* OddFriendship: With Wolfgang. He's a loner and she's obsessed with popularity, but they end up talking a lot [[spoiler: and become the final two]].
* SanitySlippage: Chelsey has a rough time in the 17th chapter, thanks to Flora beating her in the popularity polls. She spends the entire episode ranting unintelligibly, and even tells Nic he's attractive, which makes Wolfgang realize she's really losing her marbles.
* SiblingRivalry: Implied to have one with her younger sister Allison, who is less popular than Chelsey.
* ShoutOut: In the sandbag challenge borrowed from ''Series/{{Survivor}}'', her shirt is ripped off and she ends up FlippingTheBird at Veronica, just like Sugar Kiper from the aforementioned show.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Thanks to her entertaining interactions with lots of other characters and the fact she's one of the only contestants who strategizes, she's inevitably this.
* StatuesqueStunner: Chelsey is one of the tallest characters in the cast, with only Layla and Wolfgang rivaling her, and she's seen as the most attractive.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Despite hating Elena, they're forced to work together to eliminate Kavren.

!!!Chrissy - The Tough Chick
-> "''Heh, yeah. You have a Fumblr? I'll totally follow you on that. Mine's called 'pointy-objects-hypnotize-the-soul.' It's a motivational quote by some guy.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chrissy_73.png]]
The third-place finisher of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle''. A pretty gruff personality, Chrissy is quite the {{Tomboy}} and doesn't take any crap from anyone, especially [[AbhorrentAdmirer Nic]]. She was known for her strong bond with Julia, but has chilled out a bit since the season ended, becoming a hipster.
* ActionGirl: Less here than in Tiki Jungle, but she's still known for her toughness and carries around a knife.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her sudden transition to becoming a hipster might seem random... that is, unless you've read her pre-season biography.
* CaptainErsatz: Not Chrissy herself, but her T-shirt depicts a character labeled "[[WesternAnimation/InvaderZim Invader Jim]]" who looks identical to a certain other invader.
* CoolShades: Adopted these after becoming a hipster.
* DeadpanSnarker: Especially around Nic.
* GenderBlenderName: Her real name is Christian, which also overlaps with EmbarrassingFirstName. Later leads to OneSteveLimit with the introduction of Christian in ''Fanfic/TotalDramaLakeside''.
* JustFriends: She claims to just be this with Nic.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Julia and (to a lesser extent) Helga, carrying over from Tiki Jungle.
* {{Hipster}}: Showed no traces of being this at all in her original season, but has joined Tumblr and is now one.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: See GenderBlenderName above.
* {{Tomboy}}: More subtle this time around.

!!!Devin - The Jive Turkey
-> "''Yo, yo, yo, wassup, m' peeps? I see dat bunches o' cool G's an' hipstas has a'ready arrived, yo. Wass chillin', m' villains? Y'all got swag, righ'?''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/devin_0.png]]
A contestant originally from Total Drama School. Devin was simply white and nerdy until he discovered rap music, and now dreams of being a "gangsta." He was eliminated early in School but returned at the merge, then was eliminated again shortly afterward. He returned for ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'' and was the first one out after the merge, because [[HeKnowsTooMuch he overheard Trey's secret plan]]. He's back for a third time, now with a new mixtape.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: His new long hair and youthful face lead to this.
* {{Expy}}: Of Total Drama World Tour-era Ezekiel, albeit with far less intelligible speech patterns.
* GoofyPrintUnderwear: His saggy jeans show off his polka-dot boxers.
* JiveTurkey: It's his label.
* PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy: The other contestants don't feel the same way, of course.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Devin goes without clothes on quite a few occasions.
* OutOfFocus: Devin is booted rather early and gets even less of a plot than usual.
* TheUnintelligible: This time around, his speech is incredibly hard to decipher.

!!!Elena - The Flirt
-> "''Of course I'm the same Elena, how stupid do people get? I just got prettier, duh.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elena_23.png]]
The 12th-placer of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'', who was sweet, loved by all, and seemed poised to win at first, until she shockingly TookALevelInJerkass and was abruptly eliminated. She returns with a much more [[AlphaBitch abrasive]] personality.
* AlphaBitch: Duels with Chelsey for this role on the Ralphcakes, although Chelsey is [[LovableAlphaBitch more likable]] while Elena has absolutely no redeeming qualities.
* AttentionWhore: Sometimes outright states she's doing things, such as making out with Trey, just to get more screentime.
* BoobBasedGag: The target of others' (mostly Arthur's) mockery.
* ButtMonkey: The main one of the pre-merge.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: For the Ralphcakes. She's set up as a hugely negative presence and the ultimate rival to Chelsey, until she gets voted out right before the merge to make way for [[spoiler: Trey]].
* TheDitz: Seems to think that parmesan is a spice, among other examples.
* EnemyMine: With Chelsey for a couple episodes, although they hate each other too much to make it work.
* {{Jerkass}}: She's extremely unpleasant, maybe the worst in the cast.
* {{Narcissist}}: Elena is decently attractive, but thinks she's pretty much the greatest thing ever.
* SameCharacterButDifferent: Compared to what she was like in Tiki Jungle, Elena's appearance and personality here are slightly jarring.
* SmallNameBigEgo: She's obsessed with herself and doesn't get why the others won't bow down to her.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Despite hating Chelsey, they're forced to work together to eliminate Kavren.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Between seasons. She was a generally nice and friendly character in Tiki Jungle but turned extremely rude and abrasive once she returned in Superstar Showdown.
* {{Tsundere}}: With Trey. Nobody, potentially not even Elena herself, knows how she truly feels about him.

!!!Estrella - The Goth
-> "''I could probably say something critical about all of you, but if I get any more sunlight, I'll probably turn to dust.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/estrella.png]]
The goth from ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo'', who placed 7th and was known for saying grisly things, snarking at everyone, and having an adversarial yet flirtatious relationship with [[CasanovaWannabe Julian]]. She's competing this season alongside the character she's a SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute of, Helga.
* BirdsOfAFeather: With Helga. Both are intelligent, lazy snarkers.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Estrella may be grouchy and aloof, but isn't a bad person and is usually aligned with the "heroes."
* DeadpanSnarker: In spades, and she bonds with Helga over this.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Checks off all three boxes.
* {{Expy}}: Estrella was inspired by Jade West from ''Series/{{Victorious}}'' and Raven from ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans''.
* NonActionSnarker: Does the most snarking when sitting down, not participating in challenges, and reading, just like Helga.
* SpicyLatina: Completely and utterly subverted, but Nic tries to imply she's this. She isn't amused.
* TookALevelInKindness: While it's not much, Estrella did end up socializing slightly more, and in the end was willing to give Julian a chance.
* {{Tsundere}}: With Julian, even though he's not competing. Estrella does agree to date him once she's voted out, but is visibly having regrets by the time the losers' special rolls around.

!!!Flora - Some Girl
-> "''Aw, don’t be sad, Trey, just think of bunnies frolicking in fields of grass with really pretty rainbows. That always makes me feel better.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flora_0.png]]
The boring girl from ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo'', Flora was a massive EnsembleDarkhorse despite being a parody of OutOfFocus slot-filler characters. After just barely missing the merge, she's returning in hopes of becoming less of a FlatCharacter.
* BadassAdorable: Flora wins four challenges after the merge, tying Julia's record from Tiki Jungle.
* BreakoutCharacter: After accumulating a huge fanbase during Tokyo despite being a one-note early boot, she's one of the main protagonists this time around.
* TheCutie: Flora's "boring" personality transitions to just adorable right around when the merge hits.
* {{Foil}}:
** Could be seen as one to Gail: Both were 'boring girls' from Tokyo who became {{Ensemble Darkhorse}}s and gained fans, but while Flora made it late pre-merge and is kind, Gail was eliminated early pre-merge and is AxCrazy.
** To Chelsey. Both are extremely well-liked brunette girls from their respective seasons, but Chelsey is a selfish popular girl while Flora is a kindhearted 'boring' girl.
* TheGenericGirl: She's a parody of the type of these found in Total Drama fanfictions (including the author's past ones), though as the story goes on, it's evident there's more to her.
* HeroicSacrifice: In the second-to-last chapter, Flora and Wolfgang realize that there's a tie for second place in the challenge, and Flora lets Wolfgang pass her and avoid being eliminated due to how nice he was to her.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Since she's so sweet and innocent, she trusts Trey completely and doesn't realize his true motives until they're fully out in the open.
* IJustWantToBeSpecial: Flora wants to be seen as cool by the other contestants and tries lying to fool them. It doesn't work.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Flora chose to compete in the season so she could make friends and spend time with people who don't consider her boring. [[spoiler: It works.]]
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Flora is the Light to Chelsey's Dark.
* MyGreatestSecondChance: Flora makes it much farther than last time (to the merge, and eventually final three), is the last 'boring girl' left, ties for the record of most wins in a season, wins the popularity polls over [[AttentionWhore Chelsey]], and makes friends, which is why she returned in the first place.
* NiceGirl: She's one of, if not the nicest contestant on the season; [[TheSnarkKnight Wolfgang]] doesn't even hate her.
* NonGameplayElimination: At the very end of the penultimate chapter, Flora quits to sacrifice herself and save Wolfgang.
* OddFriendship: With Wolfgang. Wolfgang is an antisocial jerk while Flora is sweet and kind, but the two manage to get along just fine.
* ThePollyanna: Flora is always happy and cheerful no matter what, even when she's being sabotaged by Trey.
-->'''Wolfgang:''' "I dunno, man, it’s so hard to get mad at her! She’s basically a walking ray of sunshine. For a while, I thought she was completely devoid of a personality, but she’s just calm and happy as heck all the time, and I think it’s rubbing off on me."
* TheRival: Despite her sweet and docile nature, Flora unwittingly makes two.
** Chelsey - once she finds out Flora is beating her in the popularity polls, she swears revenge.
** Gail - when she appears again for a challenge, she makes it her mission to defeat Flora.
* ThatMakesMeFeelAngry: She's prone to this, due to her simple and innocent nature.
* WomanChild: Flora displays some childlike tendencies, such as still playing with her 'My Petite Equestrian Rainbow Castle' playset.

!!!Gary - The [[{{Portmanteau}} Internerd]]
-> "''Of course I’m coming with! I hate this place. The number of obese sweaty people here is over 9000!''"

[[quoteright:49:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garythumb.PNG]]
The nerdy but enthusiastic fan favorite from Total Drama School, known for his bromances with Devin and Carson and his massive crush on [[PassionateSportsGirl Meg]]. While originally working as a DisposableIntern, Gary debuts onto the season after a rather explosive challenge.
* GagNose: It takes up around half his face and covers the top half of his mouth.
* MetaGuy: Gary has become this, thanks to his extensive knowledge of the franchise and the Internet in general.
* NerdGlasses: Naturally.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Debuts into the competition in the eleventh chapter, and is then eliminated four chapters later without doing much to advance the plot.

!!!Helga - The Reader
-> "''Mind saying something that doesn’t make me feel like I’m losing brain cells?''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/helga_0.png]]
Toad-al Drama's original DeadpanSnarker. Helga first competed in Total Drama School and didn't last long, spending most of her time simply reading, but she returned for ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'', bitter about her early elimination and becoming a lot snarkier (and more beloved). This time around, she's lost quite a bit of weight but has only gotten snarkier.
* BirdsOfAFeather: With Wolfgang, both being smart, straight men to other characters (primarily Julia and Puck).
%%** With Estrella.
* {{Bookworm}}: Helga continues her habit of constantly reading books.
* BrilliantButLazy: Although she's extremely smart and well-read, she'd much rather snark at her teammates than try to win challenges.
* DeadpanSnarker: Helga is the series' first, and it's one of her defining traits.
* DumbBlonde: Subverted. Helga's possibly the smartest contestant there, and is one of the only blondes.
* FormerlyFat: While Helga wasn't [[HollywoodPudgy that obese]], she did lose a significant amount of weight in between her last season and now.
* GoodIsNotNice: Helga isn't friendly in the least, but she's not really a villain and has always been aligned with the "good" characters.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: She's almost always seen with Julia, even though the two don't seem to like each other much.
* HistoryRepeats: Helga is the last person voted off before the merge, just like in Total Drama School.
* NonActionSnarker: Does the most snarking when sitting down, not participating in challenges, and reading, just like Estrella.
* OddFriendship: She and Julia consider each other best friends, and it's unclear why - Julia is loud, aggressive, and obsessed with a British boy band, while Helga is quiet, snarky, and spends her time reading dense novels.
* OfficialCouple: With Wolfgang.
* TheStoic: Helga doesn't have much emotional range, which makes it all the more shocking when she bares her soul to Wolfgang.

!!!Julia - The Short Girl
-> "''IF YOU INSULT ONE ERECTION ONE MORE TIME, YOU LITTLE BUM, I WILL TAKE MY SUITCASE, [[CurseCutShort AND I'LL]]--''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/julia_3.png]]
The vertically challenged winner of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'' who was known for her Napoleon complex, her strong bond with Chrissy, and her not-so-strong bond with [[ArchEnemy Arthur]]. She's dyed her hair brown after being called "Ginger" one too many times, and is now obsessed with [[Music/OneDirection One Erection]].
* ActionGirl: Despite being small, she can pack a punch.
* ArchNemesis: Arthur, naturally.
* BelligerentSexualTension: Later chapters reveal that her arguments with Arthur may actually be this.
* BerserkButton: While she's almost always pissed off anyway, she still has one thing that makes her especially enraged: Arthur.
* DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale: Julia's whaling on Arthur is always PlayedForLaughs.
* FieryRedhead: Her hair is dyed brown this season, but she's still naturally a ginger, and very fiery.
* GroinAttack: Likes to give these to Arthur.
* HairTriggerTemper: Basically her main shtick.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Chrissy, and later Helga, although she doesn't seem to like either of them much.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: With Arthur.
* TheLadette: Outside of Helga and Chrissy, Julia is almost never seen with the female contestants. She spends most of her time swearing, arguing with Arthur yet constantly hanging out with him anyway, and bossing people around.
* LadySwearsALot: Julia has an impressive mouth and often drops F-bombs like nobody's business.
* TheNapoleon: A rare female example.
* OddFriendship: She and Helga consider each other best friends, and it's unclear why - Julia is loud, aggressive, and obsessed with a British boy band, while Helga is quiet, snarky, and spends her time reading dense novels.
* SatelliteCharacter: Since Chrissy and Helga are voted out relatively early, Julia spends a majority of the story only talking to Arthur.
* StepfordSmiler: Type III, her character image shows her displaying a sort of grimace (almost TheUnsmile) and barely concealing her deep-set rage.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Finds herself on the same team as Arthur after an AssPull of a switch, and is reluctantly forced to work with him. This is later brought back when they're paired together in a wedding challenge (for the second time).
* TinyTyrannicalGirl: She checks all the boxes, but since mostly everyone else ignores her, Arthur is her main victim.

!!!Kavren - The Weirdo
-> "''Fleedle-deedle. Man, that ride here was totally bladvass. I moped-ed-ed across the lake, for Repeat's sake!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kavren.png]]
Fanfic/TotalDramaRevolution's runner-up. He was most notable for being pervy and a SpotlightStealingSquad, making up strange words, and wearing a banana suit. He's competing in this season with his best buddy Arthur.
* AerithAndBob: While some of the other contestants this season have unconventional names or [[MyNaymeIs spellings]], Kavren is a step above the rest, yet he coexists with names like Arthur and Julia.
* ChivalrousPervert: Kavren is essentially a twelve-year-old in the body of an eighteen-year-old, but he's not a horrible guy.
* CloudCuckoolander: Kavren is an odd bird. [[AerithAndBob His bizarre name]] is one of the more normal things about him.
* DemotedToExtra: Kavren was one of the main characters of Total Drama Revolution; come this season he makes jokes with Arthur a lot...and then is the first boot off of his team.
* FatAndSkinny: The skinny guy to Arthur's fat one.
* JewishAndNerdy: WordOfGod confirms that Kavren (and his cousin Tolkien) are Jewish.
* PerfectlyCromulentWord: Half of Kavren's dialogue consists of these.
* PluckyComicRelief: Only for a short amount of time though, as he's booted early.
* SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome: Goes from being a finalist in Total Drama Revolution to the first person booted off his team.

!!!Layla - The Rich Snob
-> "''Hellooo? I’M thoroughly troubled too! Like, once my dad only got me a four-scoop gold-crusted ice cream cone when I wanted a five-scoop one!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/layla_3.png]]
The winner of Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo, Layla was rich, cantankerous, and treated everyone around her (most notably her long-suffering butler, Charles) like garbage. After winning in an apparent fluke and giving the prize money to Charles in a rare show of generosity, she quickly regretted her decision and has returned in the hopes of winning more money.
* AlphaBitch: After Elena leaves, Layla is Chelsey's main competition for this role - though she later comes to another sudden realization that it's pointless.
* BrilliantButLazy: Layla is capable of attempting challenges and actually being good at them, but she doesn't try.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Very gradually. Already showed this in the Tokyo finale, and then after a FaceHeelTurn and being rude to the others once again, she starts to question her motives in her last few chapters.
* FaceHeelTurn: After her HeelFaceTurn at the end of the previous season, she's back to her old, AlphaBitch ways this season due to the absence of Charles.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: As of her quit. In the span of two seasons, Layla has arrived as a {{Jerkass}}, changed her ways after winning, turned BACK into a {{Jerkass}} once losing Charles, then quit to be with Charles and mellowed out once again.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Deep, deep down, Layla isn't a bad person, as her interactions with Charles show. Her upbringing is implied to be the main reason she is the way she is.
* NonGameplayElimination: Layla quits this season, and due to that and winning her previous season, she's one of the few contestants in the series to never be voted out normally (along with Arthur and Julia).
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: This is the only reason she returned - she wants to get more money after giving Charles her original million-dollar prize.
* PrecisionFStrike: Layla does this for the second time in the series, after Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo.
* RichBitch: Yep, pretty much her in a nutshell.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Layla quits the game shortly after the merge, due to missing Charles and realizing there's no point to competing if she isn't having fun or getting along with anyone.
* TookALevelInJerkass: After her HeelFaceTurn at the end of the previous season, she's back to her old, AlphaBitch ways this season due to the absence of Charles.
* TookALevelInKindness: Near the end of the story, specifically after she quits and is reunited with Charles again.

!!!Mackenzie - The Sweet Girl
-> "''You probably don't remember me, since I was one of the infamous 'boring' characters of Revolution, but if you do, that would be cool...''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mackenzie_0.png]]
Mackenzie is the 14th-placer of Fanfic/TotalDramaRevolution. Her cheery personality and sad backstory made her a favorite before her unceremoniously early boot, so now she's back for a second chance.
* ACupAngst: Arthur implies she has this, word-for-word.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Mackenzie has one of these, which was one of the few reasons she was brought back.
* FlatCharacter: She's one of the 'boring girls' returning, and the only who not to make it to the merge, being as forgettable as her first time on the show.
* HistoryRepeats: Mackenzie says this herself, about being voted off early for being boring. She was also voted off in the sixth challenge both times.
* NiceGirl: Her label is basically this and she can be very happy, though admits to Flora to hating most of their teammates.
* PinkMeansFeminine: The soft, quiet, girly Mackenzie wears a primarily pink outfit.
* StraightMan: Mackenzie is often confused by her teammates' odd behaviors and obsessions.

!!!Nic - The Wannabe Villain
-> "''Oh, Chrissy… I know you crave me like a Quesarito craves salsa verde, I can see it in your eyes. But please… let’s take it slowly.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nic.png]]
A ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'' newbie who finished in 4th place. Nic idolized Alejandro from ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama World Tour'' and attempted to be like him in every way possible (key word: attempted), such as manipulating his teammates, wooing women, and having conversations with his abs. Now, he's gone through puberty, but has his personality changed at all? (No.)
* ADeathInTheLimelight: Nic's elimination episode is heavily focused on his antics and attempts to get rid of Trey.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: His rivalry with Trey, which he views as this, is still active this season.
* AmbiguouslyBi: Although he's constantly hitting on women, sometimes his love for Alejandro comes off as a little more than just idolizing. In addition, after winning one challenge, he kisses Alex on the cheek.
* ArchEnemy: Trey is his, though the feeling isn't mutual - Trey seems to consider him little more than a nuisance.
* BigBadWannabe: He spends half the story failing at being evil.
* CasanovaWannabe: When he's not failing at being evil, he's failing at picking up girls.
* ConsultingMisterPuppet: He still does this with [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext his stomach]], [[PunnyName "Abby,"]] in confessionals.
* GratuitousSpanish: Whenever he attempts to speak Spanish, it's this. He even admits to Wolfgang that he only knows a few fragmented phrases from English-to-Spanish dictionaries.
* HandsomeLech: While he was shrimpy and unappealing in Tiki Jungle, Nic has gone through puberty and is now conventionally attractive... but nobody cares, since his personality is the exact same.
* HarmlessVillain: During his time in the game, Nic fails to do one thing that is the least bit 'evil,' but boasts a strangely high amount of determination.
* {{Leitmotif}}: Alejandro's theme is described as playing when Nic makes appearances, albeit usually played from his phone.
* PecFlex: Nic does this the second he arrives, although it's FanDisservice.
* PluckyComicRelief: His pathetic attempts at villainy are exclusively PlayedForLaughs.
* StalkerWithACrush: Towards many of the girls competing, as well as Alejandro. His pre-season bio states that he traveled 10 hours to Canada to attend a meet-and-greet hosted by Alejandro, but [[NoodleIncident was forcibly removed by security]].
* {{Troll}}: Starts messing with Trey as a last resort when his other plans fail. [[spoiler: This one doesn't work either, and he is voted off.]]

!!!Ori - The Gemini
-> "''DAD?! This isn’t the time! I’m trying to get some stuff done, like eradicate every trace of my awful ‘gangsta’ phase from the Internet!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ori_62.png]]
Ori is the only character in the story not created by the author - he was made by the winner of a contest the author held. The 9th-placer of Fanfic/TotalDramaRevolution, Ori was famous for his violent mood swings and [[AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents dorky father]]. He has returned, now obsessed with Devin for some reason.
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Ori's dad, Darryl, is just as awkward and uncool as ever and shows up multiple times.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: First contestant voted off, as well as one of the only black characters (along with Chef, Arthur, and Julian of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo'', who was originally going to be a contestant and makes a few appearances).
* {{Expy}}: He's an expy of Devin this time, with some added temper outbursts, which is especially strange with Devin himself in the same story.
* TheKlutz: Ori's new baggy pants cause him to trip a few times, and he breaks every tent which leads to his elimination.
* MoodSwinger: He was this in Total Drama Revolution, but it's not too touched upon here.
* StraightGay: Ori's obsession with Devin stems from insecurity and having a crush on him. He doesn't exhibit any other stereotypically camp mannerisms.
* TwoferTokenMinority: Black and gay, if the WordOfGay is to be believed.

!!!PJ - The Silent Genius
-> "''...''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pj_6.png]]
PJ is the 19th-placer of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaRevolution'' and quite possibly the biggest BreakoutCharacter in the series, at least up until Tokyo. All because she did basically nothing but [[VisibleSilence say "..."]]. She's back, still "..."ing it up, and has become a minor celebrity from it.
* {{Flanderization}}: After PJ's 'quote' of "..." became a meme among readers, PJ 'says' it constantly in this story. In her first season, it was only said a couple times, and she mostly spent her time saying one-word responses or shuffling around silently.
* HistoryRepeatsItself: PJ is the second voted off ''again''.
* MeaningfulName: PJ's last name is Dotcubed, a reference to her always saying "...".
* OnlyKnownByInitials: Her real name is Patricia Jane.
* OutOfFocus: In the three episodes that she competes in, PJ barely does anything other than say "...".
* TheQuietOne: Well, of course.
* VisibleSilence: What she became most famous for and what half her dialogue consists of.

!!!Puck - The Chill Guy
-> "''Wolfie and I are definitely friends. He just... doesn't appreciate my panache. That's okay, true friends can admit each other's faults!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/puck_5.png]]
Puck placed fifth in Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo. This pudgy character made an impact thanks to his affinity for cheesy puns, his delusional "friendship" with Wolfgang, his volatile relationship with [[{{Tsundere}} Casey]], his belief that he's half-penguin, and his otherwise bizarre antics. He's overjoyed to be back with his best buddy Wolfie.
* {{Acrofatic}}: Sometimes played straight, sometimes subverted. He gets tired very quickly in a running challenge and can barely swim, but is also shown to be pretty agile.
* AmbiguouslyBi: He's very devoted to his girlfriend Casey, but sometimes his behavior towards Wolfgang seems to be a tad more than platonic. He's also a self-proclaimed "pretty big One Erection stan."
* BigEater: He's always hungry, which comes back to bite him when he finds Wolfgang's German truffles.
* EmbarrassingFirstName: Cornelius. Casey sometimes calls him "Corny."
* FatAndSkinny: With Wolfgang, as usual.
* {{Flanderization}}: Puck was a versatile comic relief character in Tokyo, but come this season, he's mostly just an obsessive devotee of Wolfgang, with the puns and obscure slang ramped up. Justified, as he's Wolfgang's SatelliteCharacter.
* FunPersonified: He's always trying to get Wolfgang to lighten up and have a good time, even if he doesn't go about it well. Even when he's voted off, Puck doesn't take it hard and still manages to crack jokes.
* HehHehYouSaidX: Puck is still a fan of this.
-->'''Roz:''' All right, this could be a really anti-climactic vote, or it could possibly be full o’ juicy bits.\
'''Puck:''' Heh heh. Juicy bits.
* IncrediblyLamePun: His habit of making these hasn't stopped.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: His behavior towards Wolfgang, which is this, reaches an all-time high in this season.
* {{Keet}}: Puck is always in an incredibly good mood for some reason.
* LargeHam: Still is very much this, although this time more than half of his team is too, so he has more competition.
* ManChild: Puck's in his late teens but acts like an 8-year-old. He's a massive fan of the [[Franchise/HelloKitty Bonjour Doggy]] franchise, doesn't know how to tie his shoes, and his mother considers him a "late bloomer."
* MommasBoy: He frequently brings up his mom, such as describing how she told him his "Pineapple Breeze" deodorant smelled like the men's locker room, and seems to take her advice to heart.
* OfficialCouple: With [[LoonyFan Casey]], even though she's not competing.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Puck's full name is Cornelius Puckerschmidt.
* PluckyComicRelief: Or, as he would say, "more like 'Pucky' Comic Relief! Get it?!"
* PungeonMaster: Puck loves his puns.
* SacrificialLion: Puck is the first contestant voted out who actually had a main role in the story, and his boot episode marks a significant shift in interactions, relationships, and overall plot.
* SatelliteCharacter: Despite his antics in Tokyo being very focused on, his role this season is mostly to interact and bounce off of Wolfgang (and occasionally other bizarre characters like Arthur and Casey in her cameo) and further his plot. He ends up getting voted off much earlier than Wolfgang, opposite from the previous season.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Due to his entertaining interactions with Wolfgang. He's kicked off at the end of the pre-merge, though.
* ShoutOut: His character is based on Puck from VideoGame/AnimalCrossing, but his look this time around more closely resembles Iggly.
* SophisticatedAsHell: Puck has an odd vocabulary, mixing outdated slang like "'za" and "bro-migo" with higher-brow words such as "panache."
* SoUnfunnyItsFunny: Puck's entire sense of humor falls under this.
* SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome: While not as sudden as some, Puck does go from being in the final five in Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo to out in the late premerge.

!!!Tolkien - The Fantasy Geek
-> "''I dream every single night, and they're all about Roz, and how I like her... Oops. Shouldn't have said that.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tolkien.png]]
The 9th-placer of Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo, Tolkien was a likable and nerdy contestant obsessed with two things: [[TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons Luncheons & Laggins]] and [[SerialRomeo girls]]. His love triangle with Ari and Roz was a major storyline in Tokyo, and after numerous embarrassments and an anticlimactic ending, he's returned to redeem himself.
* AmbiguouslyBi: See ShipTease.
* DemotedToExtra: Similar to his cousin Kavren, Tolkien had a bigger role in Tokyo, while becoming an earlier out here.
* DidNotGetTheGirl: Tolkien ultimately left without winning Roz's heart as planned.
* {{Foil}}: to Trick. While they have many similarities (see 'Not So Different'), Tolkien is nerdy, fails in his romantic pursuits and is kind. In contrast, Trick is an athlete, in a serious relationship with someone and a jerk.
* HopelessSuitor: Tolkien had a small romantic fling with Roz in their first season, and joined to win her affections. It becomes clear that Roz is no longer interested, however.
* InLoveWithLove: Heavily implied, especially once Roz rebuffs him and he instantly downloads dating apps.
* JewishAndNerdy: WordOfGod confirms that Tolkien (and his cousin Kavren) are Jewish.
* TheRival: Tolkien doesn't trust Trick and the two kind of have an off and on again friendship... until Trick eliminates him.
* SerialRomeo: He's a bit of one, between Ari, Roz, and nameless dating app girls. This trait is later expanded upon with Graham from Fanfic/TotalDramaLakeside.
* ShipTease: With Trick. The two end up cuddling in their sleep all the time. Even when Trick is eliminated, Tolkien returns just to sleep on Trick.
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: Tolkien falls in love very hard and very fast with many girls, [[LoveAtFirstSight usually upon meeting them]].

!!!Trey - The Cool Dude
-> "''I used to go to the gym... Before everything changed... My life is like a fart...''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/trey_7.png]]
Trey appeared on ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'' and placed 7th. He was originally presented as a laid-back surfer heartthrob type with an attraction to [[CloudCuckoolander Octavia]], but soon revealed his true colors as the main antagonist of the season. After attempting to steal the money from the winner, Julia, he was trapped on Tiki Island for a year and experienced a drastic change in personality.
* AlasPoorVillain: After being portrayed in a very unsympathetic and comedic light for most of the season, Trey's final monologue on the Boat of Losers is this, where he talks about how he just wanted to be respected and thinks that his brother (see CainAndAbel) might be right about him.
* BerserkButton: Arthur's MaliciousMisnaming towards him.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: After around half a season of moping around and bemoaning his life, he gradually becomes more and more focused on the game and it becomes pretty obvious that his personality change is just a ruse.
* BlackBeadEyes: With the removal of his sunglasses, it is revealed that Trey has these.
* CainAndAbel: The Cain to his older brother Keenan's Abel. While Keenan is a nice guy who's actually concerned about Trey, Trey badmouths Keenan in the confessional just the next day.
* CardCarryingVillain: Despite his nonthreatening exterior, he's basically this in confessionals after he becomes more invested in the game.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Not as bad as Trick, but Trey does pretend to be friends with Chelsey and Flora to get him to vote with him, while planning on eliminating them.
* FauxYay: Attempts to masquerade as gay to get the female contestants on his side.
* HiddenVillain: What seems to be Trey's favorite strategy, as last season he pretended to be a cool kid. This season he pretends to be a mope, while coming up with a plan to win the season...
* {{Jerkass}}: Trey isn't exactly the nicest guy on the season, to say the least.
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Trey's appearance in this season is initially sympathetic, and it almost seems like he's trying to reform, until that all goes out the window and he displays no redeeming qualities until it's far too late.
* KarmicDeath: Is voted off by the same people he tried to use and eliminate.
* MyGreatestSecondChance: Trey made it all the way to the final four this season, in contrast to the final seven in Tiki Jungle. He's also the last contestant standing from Tiki Jungle.
* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: He tries to claim he's this multiple times, but nobody believes him.
* ObviouslyEvil: At a certain point, it becomes obvious that Trey hasn't changed at all, and [[ThePollyanna Flora]] is the only one who doesn't realize this.
* PetHomosexual: Trey's plan of pretending to be gay goes horribly wrong when Chelsey turns him into this for her.
* TheQuietOne: Rarely speaks, and ends all of his sentences with ellipses, except in confessionals.
* RageBreakingPoint: After enduring Chelsey talk about how happy she is to have a gay best friend and refer to him as her "trusty sidekick" numerous times, Trey finally snaps and starts SuddenlyShouting at Chelsey after talking in a calm tone all season.
* SameCharacterButDifferent: The Trey shown here has zero similarities to his original appearance. [[spoiler: Or so it seems.]]
* SanitySlippage: After his blowup at Chelsey, Trey becomes more and more unhinged, eventually abandoning his previous plan to vote out Chelsey and instead targeting Flora, his closest ally, just to get more power.
* VillainousBreakdown: Chapter 20 is one big one for Trey. Everyone pretty much openly hates him, and he doesn't take his loss of power in the game all that well.
* {{Wangst}}: Invoked and played for laughs as Trey's default mood.

!!!Trick - The Skater Dude
->"''I just miss Cammy, man. If she was here, I’d be set.''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/trick_8.png]]
The 12th-placer of Fanfic/TotalDramaRevolution. Trick was a chill skater dude who found true love in [[NerdsAreSexy Cammy]], another contestant on his season, and the two ended up becoming an obnoxiously lovey-dovey couple. Trick returned without Cammy to prove that he isn't a bad guy.
* TheAtoner: Part of his reason for joining the show was to prove he was a nice guy. He ended up doing the opposite.
* BeautyIsBad: Trick is said to be one of the more attractive male contestants, specifically by Elena; he's also one of the biggest liars and least liked contestants.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Becomes 'friends' with Tolkien, Devin and Alex and betrays them all.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: For the Citrus Fruits. He's the most strategic character at the beginning of the story who causes a few eliminations, but he's ultimately voted off premerge.
* EasilyForgiven: Despite causing his elimination, Tolkien says that he considers Trick a friend. Trick is not so easily forgiven by the other characters however...
* {{Foil}}: See entry under 'Tolkien'.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: His team purposely loses a challenge just to vote him off.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: While not too violent, Trick's exit is basically this. Does this again at the losers reunion, after everyone calls him out being a jerk.
* ShipTease: With Tolkien. See entry under 'Tolkien'.
* StopHavingFunGuys: In-universe, Trick is focused on winning the game, and thinks the others' comedic actions are stupid.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Trick was kind of a jerk his last season, but this season he actively betrays people.

!!!Veronica - The Follower
->"''I’m gonna stop working for her once and for all. I’m tired of being a doormat!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/veronica_71.png]]
The 8th-placer from the very first season, Total Drama School, and the only School alum in the story to not return to ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle''. Veronica was the second-in-command to resident AlphaBitch Amanda, who used her as a doormat. She's returned in the hopes of being more independent.
* ApologisesALot: As part of her overly polite nature, but she breaks out of it eventually.
* BreakoutCharacter: Veronica has been extremely well received in the story, many agreeing she was well done and became a whole lot more popular.
* ClashingCousins: Implied with how she interacts with her cousin Marisa, who still thinks of Veronica as a huge doormat.
* ExtremeDoormat: This was her reputation in School, and she's returning so she can break free from it - but she reverts to it upon meeting Layla.
* FieryRedhead: Veronica isn't extremely passionate at first, though she does get annoyed with a lot of the people around her and eventually snaps.
* FlatCharacter: Veronica was this in School, and is known to be one of three 'boring girls.' She spends her time in this season trying to break away from that label, and succeeding.
* NiceGirl: She's one of the few characters in the story who is undeniably good-hearted.
* StraightMan: Occasionally plays this role to her weirder teammates.
* TookALevelInBadass: Once she breaks free of Layla's grasp, Veronica actually has a pretty good showing in the first few chapters after the merge, and she's eventually voted out for being a threat (which flatters her).

!!!Wolfgang - The Loner
->"''Popularity meter? What's this crap? I don't give a flying pancake about popularity, I have no friends at school!''"

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wolfgang_5.png]]
Wolfgang, an early boot from ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo'', didn't say a word until his elimination but still made a mark thanks to his grouchy, antisocial behavior, extreme violence (especially toward his arch-nemesis Puck), and oddly fashionable looks. He was also a prime case of WeHardlyKnewYe, which seems to be why he's returning.
* AnimeHair: Overlaps with MessyHair.
* AntiHero: Perhaps the biggest one of the series.
* BerserkButton: Puck's existence.
* BirdsOfAFeather: With Helga - they're both smart, snarky straight men to other characters (primarily Julia and Puck). This is how they hit it off in the first place.
* ByronicHero: Which makes him a rather unique archetype in the Toad-al Drama world.
* CampStraight: In ''Tokyo'', he was described as having an extremely high voice, and also takes care of his appearance, is very sensitive, and wears fashionable clothing.
* CharacterDevelopment: Wolfgang goes from a hostile {{Jerkass}} who rejects all social interaction and seems to hate everyone to a [[DefrostingIceQueen Defrosting Ice King]] with a new relationship, a friendship with the sweetest character in the cast, a million dollars, and an overall much more positive (yet still snarky) attitude.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Wolfgang has a slightly intimidating appearance and initially appears to be your average Total Drama villain, but he's anything but.
* DeadpanSnarker: Wolfgang has a penchant for sarcastic asides.
* DefrostingIceKing: A few specific characters have been able to bring this side of Wolfgang out, and it ends up as his main plot of the story. After he finds romance with [[BirdsOfAFeather Helga]] and friendships with [[NiceGirl Flora]] and [[LovableAlphaBitch Chelsey]], he starts to become gradually softer, despite not wanting to admit it, and his newly created bonds eventually result in him being crowned the winner.
* FatAndSkinny: With Puck.
* FriendlessBackground: He describes coming from one of these in his first few confessionals - initially it seems to be by choice, but CharacterizationMarchesOn.
* GoodIsNotNice: Despite being one of the protagonists of the story, he's still kind of a grumpy jerk.
* HeavySleeper: Wolfgang naps a ''lot'', and implies at one point that he's used to sleeping for fifteen hours a day.
* HiddenDepths: It's slowly revealed during his conversations with characters such as Flora and Helga that he's actually not a bad guy, just socially awkward and introverted, and has a hard time getting to know people without accidentally scaring them off.
* InSeriesNickname: "Wolfie." It was once only Puck who called him this, but then basically everyone else started to as well.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: See HiddenDepths above.
* LooksLikeCesare: His black-and-white clothing, dark, messy hair, and unorthodox, sleepy/grouchy-looking eyes all add up to this.
* MassiveNumberedSiblings: Wolfgang apparently has a lot of siblings, with two (Kyle and Whitney) actually named.
* MyGreatestSecondChance: The strongest example in the story. After being the third contestant voted off in Tokyo, he unexpectedly returns, and not only makes some close friends and a girlfriend but ends up winning.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: His hair, eyes, and fashion sense make him look more like an anime protagonist than a Total Drama contestant.
* OddFriendship: Wolfgang, a depressed, grumpy loner, finds his two closest friends in Chelsey (a LovableAlphaBitch queen bee) and Flora (a sweet, innocent [[ThePollyanna Pollyanna]]).
* OfficialCouple: With Helga.
%%* TheSnarkKnight
* ShoutOut: His character is based on Wolfgang from VideoGame/AnimalCrossing, but his look this time around more closely resembles Lobo.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Is this pre-merge due to his entertaining interactions with Puck and Chelsey. He continues to get lots of focus post-merge, but it's more justified since he wins.
* TallDarkAndSnarky: Especially when contrasted with his teammates.

[[folder:Non-Contestants]]
!!!Big Johnson
An eccentric old fisherman who lives in the woods, owns a private lake, and apparently went to college with Mr. Chapman. After Chelsey unexpectedly crash-lands at his fishing site, he enrolls her in a beginners' class.
* AnnoyingLaugh: "Hyuk hyuk hyuk!"
* BigFun: Big Johnson is, as expected, big, and he's also quite jolly.
* FatherNeptune: Has the appearance and demeanor for it.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: Big Johnson debuts in the first part of the two-part finale.
* NoodleIncident: Why exactly did Chappy come up with the nickname [[HoYay "Big Johnson"]] for him in college?
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Is referred to exclusively as Big Johnson, though Chappy calls him Jeffrey at one point.
* PungeonMaster: His frequent use of puns and awful jokes just further enrages Chelsey.
* ShoutOut: He was named after the founder of Boneville, "Big Johnson" Bone, from the comic series ''ComicBook/{{Bone}}''.

!!!Casey
The 7th-placer of ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo''. She wasn't chosen to compete in the season, but due to her undying love for Chelsey and her tumultuous relationship with Puck, she frequently shows up anyway.
* AttentionWhore: This seems to be why she's so obsessed with Chelsey and tries to act like her.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Even though Casey ignores Puck in favor of Chelsey all the time, there are times when it's obvious she cares about him, such as comforting him when he's sobbing about Wolfgang.
* FieryRedhead: Casey is extremely passionate and volatile.
* GibberishOfLove: After appearing at a [=McDonalds=] and walking outside to see Chelsey, Casey responds in the exact same gibberish she did upon first meeting her in Tokyo.
* LoonyFan: Of Chelsey, of course, and this hasn't died down even after dating Puck for months.
* SlapSlapKiss: With Puck, sometimes literally. After he gets onto the Boat of Losers, she is genuinely angry that Chelsey, her idol, wasn't voted out instead, but begins making out with Puck seconds later.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: Casey is rather tall and lanky; her boyfriend Puck is... not.

!!!Mr. Dave "Chappy" Chapman
Roz's former science teacher, who Roz stalks and idolizes. He seems to be fond of making random appearances at challenges and forcing contestants through all sorts of science-related fun.
* AsHimself: Unlike all of the other characters based on people the author knows in real life whose names or appearances have been changed, Chappy is just himself.
* TheBore: See OldWindbag for more details.
* CoolOldGuy: Despite some of his quirks, most of the contestants respect Chappy.
* {{Expy}}: Of the author's 9th grade science teacher.
* OldWindbag: Chappy is infamously boring, with contestants regularly falling asleep in the middle of his lectures. Some of his favorite topics include oceanography and whales.
* SantaClaus: Chappy dresses up as Santa for the 13th chapter's Christmas special, even falling out of a chimney.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Speaks almost entirely in long, rambling paragraphs containing obscure vocabulary, somehow even more so than Charles.
* SpringtimeForHitler: When viewing Arthur's Vance-filled sabotage of Trey's garden, Chappy actually loves it and awards Trey's group the win.
-->"This is an excellent demonstration of pollution and how it has plagued American gardens lately. While a revolting sight to behold, it is quite realistic, for items like these have been popping up everywhere lately due to the growing problem of littering in our society thanks to the ignorance of humans. The earth must be saved, and I am delighted that you are bringing this issue to attention and fighting for what is right.”

!!!Charles
Layla's elderly butler. After receiving the $1,000,000 prize from Layla, he retires to Tokyo to relive his days as a part-time heartbreaker/full-time motorcyclist, though Layla can't seem to fully let him go...
* BattleButler: Despite his stuffy day job, Charles is quite powerful.
* TheBusCameBack: After Layla gives him the prize money, he disappears to Tokyo and does not show up in this story until a surprise appearance for the loved ones visit and [[BackForTheFinale finale]].
* CoolOldGuy: One of the only genuinely nice characters in the whole show, and despite Layla more often than not treating him like dirt, he always respects her.
* TheJeeves[=/=]OldRetainer: A classically British butler who has worked for Layla's family for decades.
* ServileSnarker: Very dry, occasionally scathing, to his mistress Layla.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Talks in the exact way you'd expect an elderly, high-class butler to talk.
* SharpDressedMan: Always wears a tuxedo.

!!!Loved Ones
For the Christmas-themed challenge in the thirteenth chapter, Mr. Chapman brings the contestants' family members (with a few exceptions) to the competition to answer trivia about their loved ones.
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Arthur's mother, Beth, loves to scold him in front of everyone.
* BrattyTeenageDaughter: Chelsey's sister Allison fills this niche in their upper-class suburban family.
* CampGay: Julia's friend May.
* CoolUncle: Estrella's uncle Aurelio, one of the few people who can actually make her happy.
* GenderBlenderName: May, which Arthur naturally makes fun of... until he sees him.
* IdenticalStranger: May, Julia's friend, is said to look exactly like Arthur. Julia doesn't even realize it until they're side-by-side, but Arthur's mom later mistakes May for her son.
* LatinLover: Alejandro himself shows up as Nic's loved one, and although he's completely confused as to why he's there and who Nic even is, he still manages to flirt with Chelsey.
-->[after Chelsey hands him her phone number] "Thank you, mi amor. I will be sure to keep this and treasure it in a special place for a special girl like you."
* MrSmith: Flora's father is named John Smith.
* MythologyGag: Trey's brother Keenan appearing is one of these, as Keenan was a contestant in the Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo beta.
* ShoutOut:
** Estrella's uncle is based on Music/{{Voltaire}}.
** Wolfgang's siblings, Kyle and Whitney, are also based on wolf villagers from VideoGame/AnimalCrossing.
* SiblingRivalry: Wolfgang, Chelsey, and Trey don't seem to have great relationships with their siblings Kyle, Allison, and Keenan.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Chelsey allegedly looks almost identical to both her mother and her younger sister.

!!!Smoothie Guy
A rude, hostile salesman who's in charge of pretty much every establishment the contestants go to. Smoothie Guy debuted in ''Total Drama Revolution'', and is just as miserable as ever.
* AssPull: [[invoked]] When it comes to challenges. He's even worse than Roz in this regard.
* ButtMonkey: His life hasn't gone too well, to say the least, and Total Drama seemingly makes things even worse.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Contestants often see him from behind and mistake him for a woman due to his flowing blonde hair.
* {{Jerkass}}: One of the least likable characters in the series.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: His real name is Alex Nichols, subverting the OneSteveLimit, but nobody calls him that ever.
* SirSwearsALot: Smoothie Guy has an impressive mouth, frequently swearing once per sentence.
* WhatAPieceOfJunk: He builds a moped from the remnants of his old, dilapidated boat - the [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin S.S. Crappyboatthatbreakseasily]] - but it shockingly proves to work well.

!!!Vance
Arthur's "BTPF," or "Best Toilet Paper Friend." Vance is a single piece of toilet paper covered with a raisin, a long strand of hair, and a suspicious yellow liquid.
* ChekhovsGun: Vance first appears three stories prior, in Total Drama: Tiki Jungle, where he's used as a brief gag. Here, he ends up playing an important role in two different challenges (one of them being the finale).
* TheDreaded: Vance is feared by almost all the contestants.
* ExpendableClone: Despite there being massive amounts of Vances, there is one Vance known as the original, while all the rest are this.
* HiddenDepths: Described by Arthur as "a very philosophical creature" who chooses not to associate with the likes of Trey.
* TheVoiceless: Being a single strip of toilet paper, Vance doesn't speak often, though Arthur has claimed that he is capable of speech and has talked to him a few times.
