->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MaoIchimichi (Japanese), Creator/BrittneyKarbowski (English)

Our titular heroine, an ordinary 13-year old middle school student [[IJustWanttoBeNormal who just wants to be normal]], but winds up having her whole life flipped upside down when her father accidentally [[HumanPopsicle freezes]] himself, forcing her to join Space Patrol against her will.
----
* EleventhHourSuperpower: For the final battle, she gains access to the Deep Love Gun Morphing. It's so powerful that a single shot can ''seal a black hole''.
* ActionGirl: Despite her [[ReluctantWarrior reluctance to become one]], Luluco has figured out how to use her Judgement Gun form to blast bad guys and propel herself into danger. By the end of the story she has developed into a true warrior of justice.
* AgeInappropriateDress: It may seem like this in the end when she becomes Trigger-chan, but according to [[WordOfGod Imaishi]] she's turned 18 by the epilogue.
* BadassArmfold: While she's piloting her mother's CoolStarship, in a ShoutOut to ''Anime/{{GunBuster}}''.
* BackFromTheDead: As a result of her epiphany from talking to Inferno Cop in the afterlife in episode 11, she heals the hole in her heart and bursts out of her coffin alive again while her companions are in the middle of her funeral rites.
* BreakTheCutie: In episode 10 she finds out that her crush is evil, is told that her love is ''literally'' the most worthless thing in the universe, and [[LiteralMetaphor has her feelings stepped on]]. She suffers DeathByDespair as a result.
* BrokenFacePlate: Loses part of her helmet bubble and a large chunk of her suit from the Blackholeian's beam attack, which makes her look vulnerable but also shows that her body is miraculously unscathed.
* BrutalHonesty: Although usually concerned about other people's feelings, she doesn't hold back from bluntly reminding her father of all the ways in which their family isn't normal.
* CameBackStrong: Upon returning from the dead, Luluco looks more alive and determined to fight for her ideas of love and justice than ever before, manifesting an Aflutter Jewel even bigger and more beautiful than the one she lost.
* CannotSpitItOut: Shy about her crush with Nova, to the point where it takes eight episodes to ask him for a kiss and ten to confess her feelings.
* CharacterDevelopment: Starts off as a NaiveEverygirl with a shallow attraction towards the resident prettyboy and gets literally heartbroken as a result. Then Inferno Cop teaches her that her feelings, shallow though they may be, are still genuine and hers alone, and as a result she becomes a stronger person who is able to fight for justice and stand up for her love. Also, she starts off obsessed with being a normal girl despite of the crazy town she lives in, but over the course of the series has come to embrace her own abnormality and that of her home. In the last episode, we see that she's stayed in the Space Patrol and has even gotten a promotion.
* CharacterTitle: That's her name up there in the logo.
* TheChosenOne: She is Trigger-chan, the one who has the power to patrol the various dimensions.
* ClothingDamage: Her space patrol uniform gets severely damaged in episode 12 (as in, half of it's missing). Fortunately, unlike what the transformation sequences have shown, she's still wearing her regular clothing underneath.
* CoolBike: As Trigger-chan, she has a bike/spaceship shaped like an upside-down gun [[StealthPun with her in the place of the trigger]].
* CoolShades: As Trigger-chan
* CrushBlush: Blushes bashfully whenever she's having a moment with Nova.
* DeathByDespair: In Episode 10, she figuratively ''and'' literally dies of a broken heart. Amazingly, she comes back to life after regaining her hope.
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: In episode 11 she appears in greyscale because she's dead and lost her faith in herself. Her color comes back when she reaffirms her love and returns to life.
* DimensionalTraveler: As Trigger-chan, she alone can patrol the various dimensions (read: Trigger series).
* FaceDeathWithDignity: She calmed down remarkably quickly when told she (supposedly) had less than three minutes to live, her only request being that Nova give her a LastKiss. In episode 10, however, her dignity is totally destroyed when she dies.
* IdiotHair: As Trigger-chan she has one based off of [[Anime/DieBuster Nono's]]. Coincidentally, it bears a passing resemblance to a pistol trigger.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Her wish is simply to live a completely ordinary life. Sadly for her, life won't let her be ordinary.
* ImmuneToMindControl: She's the only character who isn't affected by Kill ** Killian's LotusEaterMachine. Since this fact doesn't add much to the resolution of the plot at all, it can be attributed to RuleOfFunny.
* InterspeciesRomance: With [[HumanAlien Nova]].
* IWillFindYou: The series ends with her searching the various dimensions (read: Trigger series) to find Nova following his HeroicSacrifice.
* LoveAtFirstSight: Luluco immediately falls for Alpha Omega Nova when she sees him bust into their class. Deconstructed, when she finds out that she fell in love with a boy who was literally an empty shell sent to deceive her.
* LoveEpiphany: In episode 11 she realizes that she's still in love with Nova, and that she needs to confess her feelings to him when she arrests him.
* LoveTriangle: In competition with Midori for Nova's affections, at least until episode 10 when they find out he's a Blackholeian pawn.
* MsFanservice: As Trigger-chan she wears a {{Underboobs}} showing [[{{Stripperiffic}} bikini top]] in a similar vein to [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Yoko Littner]]. She's also 18 which is above the age of consent in many countries.
* NaiveEverygirl: Luluco is an ordinary, naive young girl with a crush on a cute, popular boy. Deconstructed, as her shallowness and naivete is what made her valuable to the Blackholians and enabled them to manipulate her through Nova, and then Reconstructed when she realizes what she did wrong but also that her love is still powerful.
* NoMoreHoldingBackSpeech: "My first love isn't over just yet, I have to tell him clearly how I feel, and ask how he truly feels about me".
* OlderAlterEgo: WordOfGod says that when she transforms into Trigger-chan she ages from 13 to 18.
* OnlySaneMan: Goes hand in hand with her desire for normalcy. That said, she ''does'' have an eccentric side that shoots up whenever she's worried.
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent: Luluco tried so ''hard'' to be this in the beginning of the show, and for the most part it worked. Her plea for normalcy isn't unfounded, since most of her childhood was her [[CopsAndDetectives father]] and [[SpacePirates mother]] fighting 24/7.
* PowerDyesYourHair: Her transformation into Trigger-chan turns her hair pink.
* ThePowerOfLove: She basically care-bear stares Nova into a HeelFaceTurn.
* SeriesMascot: Not for her own series, but for '''''all of TRIGGER itself''''', thanks to her being revealed as one of the TRIGGER Girls.
* SmittenTeenageGirl: Falls in love with Nova despite knowing almost nothing about him. {{Deconstruct|ion}}ed when it turns out that Nova [[EvilAllAlong was manipulating her for this very purpose]] and that a foolish teenage girl's first love is literally the most worthless thing in the universe.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her Trigger-chan outfit is about as revealing as those of [[Anime/KillLaKill Ryuko Matoi]] and [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Yoko Littner]]. The main parts are a bikini top, cropped-length sleeveless open jacket, and short shorts.
* TookALevelInBadass: While she gradually becomes more competent over the arc of the series, her combat powers and fighting spirit surge to awesome levels upon resurrection.
* TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening: Her transformation into Trigger-chan was caused by her witnessing Nova be consumed by a micro-black hole.
* TreasureChestCavity: Her chest cavity turns out to contain an Aflutter jewel, although supposedly it's worthless.
* {{Underboobs}}: Some of the offical artwork from Trigger's twitter account shows this as Trigger-chan for {{Fanservice}}.

[[folder:AΩ Nova]]
[[quoteright:172:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/0ffd8096f0cd4a8f.png]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JunyaEnoki (Japanese), Creator/JustinBriner (English)

A polite but {{sociopathic| hero}} [[NewTransferStudent mysterious transfer student]] who immediately captures Luluco's affection with his good looks and cool demeanor. Though popular with the ladies and nice to Luluco, he has a remarkably indifferent attitude about the mission and just about everything else too.
----
* AntiVillain: Despite cooperating with the Blackholeians and hurting Luluco by taking her heart, he lacks any villainous motive like greed or hatred, and simply does whatever his master orders because he cannot feel or think for himself. Luluco realizes afterwards that rather than betraying or lying to her, Nova was just being who he is, and decides to try and redeem him with her love.
* ArmCannon: Unlike everyone else, his gun form merely changes his arm into a revolver cylinder.
* TheBlank: Episode 10 gives the [[NightmareFuel creepy]] imagery of Nova with TV static covering his entire face that symbolizes how he's part of an alien race without any feelings or emotions.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: His entire species is fundamentally amoral (as opposed to ''im''moral) because they don't have any personality or emotions, so he can be manipulated into doing either good or evil without caring one way or the other.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: His uniform has the Greek symbols for Alpha and Omega on the chest, which make up his given name.
* CatchPhrase: "I don't mind either way", which turns out to be an indicator that he's a Nothingling, and therefore his conversations (as with everything else about him) appear very hollow.
* CharacterDevelopment: Originally an emotionless EmptyShell who let himself be used as a pawn and didn't care about anything or anyone, he is redeemed and made whole by Luluco's love so that he can love her in return and fight for something he believes in.
--> "Hollow, huh? That word brings back memories. But that's just who I was until a moment ago. I'm neither hollow nor a puppet anymore! Right now, I'm just a normal Nova! And I just fell in love with Luluco!"
* CoveredInScars: When his suit burns away in episode 12, we see that his torso is criss-crossed with nasty-looking scars, and that he has an X-shaped scar on his forehead that was hidden by his bangs before (which contains the miniature black hole his master planted in his body). For what these scars might mean, see EpilepticTrees under YMMV/SpacePatrolLuluco.
* DistressedDude: Winds up being captured by Midori not too long into his and Luluco's confrontation with her.
* EmptyShell: As the Blackholian explains, Nothinglings are a whole species who are shallow and empty. In episode 12, Luluco's overpowering love causes him to grow a heart and discover feelings.
* EvilAllAlong: Planted as a mole by the Blackholians to manipulate Luluco and steal her heart. He gets redeemed.
* ExplosiveLeash: The Blackholeian turns out to have planted a miniature black hole in his forehead that will devour him if he tries to rebel.
* ExtremeDoormat: Because he doesn't have any desires of his own he will happily do whatever he is told, even if his boss is a villain.
* MyEyesAreLeaking: For Nova, a Nothingling who never experienced a strong emotion in his life, the tears that stream down his face in episode 12 show that he has been utterly transformed into someone who can feel and fall in love.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Episode 10 reveals his angelic looks to be hiding a lack of morals, and was part of the reason why Space Patrol Galaxy Commander-in-Chief sent him to Luluco. In episode 12, however, Luluco causes him to grow a heart and become an angel not just on the outside, but on the inside.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Continues to speak in a friendly manner even after his true colors are revealed, but it turns out there was never any real feeling behind it in the first place.
* GoOutWithASmile: When he gets turned into a bullet, he sends off Luluco with one of his very few genuine smiles before he's gone completely.
* HeelFaceTurn: In episode 12, Luluco reaches him with her feelings, causing him to rebel against the Blackholeian leader and join the side of justice for real.
* HeroicSacrifice: Turns himself into a bullet so Luluco can defeat the Blackholian, although he promises that Luluco will be able to find him again if she searches other dimensions.
* HumanAliens: He and all Nothinglings are indistinguishable from humans physically; it's their lack of emotions and personality that makes them unlike other species.
* IdiotHair: Sports a prominent ''ahoge'' which hints at his eccentricity. He has a hole in his space helmet for it. Even the Aflutter Gem he manifests has an ''ahoge''!
* InterspeciesRomance: Despite him being a Nothingling, he and the human Luluco eventually declare their love for each other.
* LackOfEmpathy: He knows how Luluco feels after he betrayed her, he just doesn't care. Justified by being a trait of his species, which helps Luluco realize that he's just being himself, and he learns empathy from Luluco's love.
* LoveRedeems: Rebels against his evil master and joins the side of justice because Luluco fills him with her feelings, causing him to requite her love and turn good for her sake.
* LoveTriangle: For most of the series he has Luluco and Midori both wanting to get with him, while he acts mostly disinterested toward both. Eventually resolved by him choosing Luluco. In the ''Geek Boy'' doujin he gets into a new one, where [[spoiler:Panty wants to jump his bones despite his lack of interest, while poor Brief keeps pining for Panty]].
* MadeASlave: The Blackholeian says that he enslaved Nova to do his bidding, since he would have no motivation to cooperate otherwise. In episode 12 he rebels for Luluco's sake.
* MeaningfulName: Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet and, in the words of the Blackholian, he was "the beginning and the end for Luluco".
* MellowFellow: Has a very relaxed and mellow attitude toward everything, so that he never gets angry or flustered. Even when he's being held hostage, he barely seems surprised at all. This is because his species is naturally hollow and empty, and incapable of caring about anything.
--> "''Whoops, I got captured. Darn.''"
* TheMole: Infiltrated Space Patrol under orders from the Blackholians to help them steal Ogikubo and Luluco's heart, betraying them when the time came.
* NiceGuy: He's almost always complimenting Luluco and encouraging her every step of the way, even just seconds after he lands into her class. Subverted by the reveal that he had no feelings, and only had to show concern for Luluco a couple times to make her think he was nice, but in episode 12 Luluco's love succeeds in turning him into a genuine nice guy.
* NothingPersonal: When he steals Luluco's heart, he basically explains that he neither loves nor hates her, and is just following orders.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: See MyEyesAreLeaking.
* PrettyBoy: He definitely catches the eyes of both Luluco and Midori and have them fall for him, that's for sure. Exploited, since the Blackholians picked an agent that a naive teenage girl would definitely fall for.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: For the most part, he's just a pretty face that Luluco's obsessed over. It's later invoked, as his primary goal was to manifest the most worthless thing in existence: the shallow love of an especially foolish girl.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: He makes his entrance on the scene in Episode 2 [[DynamicEntry while riding a meteorite straight into Luluco's class.]]
* ShirtlessScene: Gets his shirt blasted off while TakingTheBullet for Luluco, but remains unscathed and fabulous as he takes Luluco's hand and prepares to fight by her side.
* SociopathicHero: Very trigger-happy but in a completely calm voice, and at least he's pointed at the bad guys. Subverted by the reveal that he's a sociopath and was working ''against'' the heroes all along.
* SpiritualAntithesis: For most of the show he's a superficially similar but spiritually antithetical version of Kaworu Nagisa from ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion''. Both are secretly alien {{bishonen}} who use their charm to entice the main character and get closer to their objectives, but while Kaworu is an angel of free will whose love for Shinji is pure and unconditional, Nova has no free will or emotions and merely lets Luluco deceive herself into thinking he could return her love. Yet, in the end, his change of heart makes him a lot more like Kaworu than he was originally.
* TookALevelInKindness: Begins to act out of genuine love and concern for Luluco when he grows a heart of his own.
* VillainInAWhiteSuit: Subverted. He wears an all-white suit which makes him look otherworldly and mysterious. As it turns out he was working for the bad guys, which casts his white clothes as deceptive and threatening, but he is redeemed by Luluco.
* VillainsNeverLie: Says that he never once lied to Luluco, and technically he's correct because he always used FalseReassurance and ExactWords. In episode 11, Luluco realizes that rather than deceiving her, Nova was being himself the whole time.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: Due to being a Nothingling, he was unable to feel or understand any emotions. Only when Luluco confesses her love and [[CareBearStare bombards him with the power of her feelings]] does he realize exactly how she felt about him, finally understanding what love and emotions are like.

[[folder:Midori Save-The-World]]
[[quoteright:219:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/midori_30.png]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MayumiShintani (Japanese), Creator/JamieMarchi (English)

Luluco's fellow student and classmate, introduced as the elusive 'Save The World' who was distributing [[WeaponizedTeleportation the quasi-legal Blackhole App]] and controlling her middle school class in secret. After a run-in with Space Patrol that led to her getting caught, she volunteered to join the force willingly to avoid further responsibility for her crimes... [[LoveTriangle and to get closer to Nova]].
----
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Despite her constant teasing of Luluco, it seems she's grown to care about her. She has tears of joy in her eyes when Luluco comes back to life.
* CuteLittleFangs: She sports them sometimes.
* DaChief: As Over Justice gets promoted to commander of the space patrol in the finale, she gets promoted to his old position.
* DeadpanSnarker: She's the one who usually deals with Over Justice's bizarre attitude.
* EasilyForgiven: DoubleSubverted in rapid succession:
--> '''Over Justice:''' Anyone who breaks the law even once is a criminal! [[AllCrimesAreEqual And criminals must be executed]]!\
'''Midori:''' [[BlatantLies Yeah, but I said it was my fault and that I'm sorry]]. I apologized, so give it a rest, or I'll kill you!\
'''Over Justice:''' Very well. I'll let you into the Space Patrol.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: The other reason why she's the TokenEvilTeammate after the first arc is because most of the other villains are too repugnant for her to be able to stand.
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: She has a third eye that's slightly askew to the left above her head. A shot in episode 3 reveals that it's actually on a stalk that she keeps hidden under her hair.
* GratuitousPrincess: According to the Drama [=CDs=], her mother is the runaway princess to a planet of Space-[[EcoTerrorist Eco-Terrorists]].
* {{Greed}}: The sole reason she's after Nova in the first place, because she needs to have everything.
* HalfHumanHybrid: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the official site]].
* HeelFaceTurn: Somewhat, though she ''does'' join the heroes side, she's only working with Space Patrol to try and claim Nova for herself.
* ImprobableAge: Who gives a school-aged girl a position with as much responsibility as chief of police for a major city? Then again, if they gave the job to Over Justice in the first place, the Space Patrol must have some pretty weird standards.
* IronicName: Her last name is "Save-The-World" and she's the TokenEvilTeammate.
* {{Jerkass}}: Midori makes Luluco's life a living hell [[ItAmusedMe just for giggles]] once she joins the group.
* KarmaHoudini: PlayedForLaughs. Over Justice lets her off the hook after nothing more than a hilariously half-assed apology.
* LittleMissSnarker: Think of [[Anime/KillLaKill Nonon Jakuzure]], but [[RubberForeheadAlien green]].
* LoveTriangle: Deliberately [[InvokedTrope invokes]] this on Luluco for Nova after joining Space Patrol, doing it both to satisfy her need to have everything (including the cute boys) and [[ItAmusedMe to watch her squirm]].
* MeaningfulName: Midori means "green" in Japanese and her skin has a bluish-green tint.
* PhoneaholicTeenager: The only time she doesn't have her smartphone in her hands is when she is in Gunmorphing mode, since she doesn't have hands to hold it. Justified since the illegal black hole app she uses is important to the plot, and also because she's a blatant ''gyaru'' stereotype.
* RankUp: She becomes chief of the Ogikubo branch in the finale since Over Justice became the overall leader of the Space Patrol.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: Makes her first appearance in episode 3.
* StarterVillain: Midori serves as a kick start for the plot as her illegal activities at the middle school are what catches Over Justice's immediate attention and have him both recruit and send Luluco undercover.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Midori makes it pretty clear that she only volunteered to join Space Patrol to further her own {{Greed}} rather than for any kind of justice.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TetsuInada (Japanese), Bob Carter (English)

The chief of the Ogikubo branch of Space Patrol, Over Justice is a [[LargeHam bombastic]], fiery skeleton who was Keiji's boss before Luluco took his place after he happened to freeze himself.
----
* AllCrimesAreEqual: He has declared a war on crime. To him, every criminal must be executed, and all crimes must be punished!
* CallingYourAttacks: In addition to the Gun Morphing, he shouts "FIRE FROM FIRE!" when he shoots at Lalaco.
* CloudCuckoolander: The biggest one in the cast. For starters, his response to hearing Luluco telling her she's a middle school student is to arrest her, only for him to immediately let our heroine go when she points out that being a middle school student isn't an illegal thing. Why, he deems being a middle school student grounds for arrest aside from NothingIsFunnier and RuleOfFunny is unknown.
* CoolShades: Ones that are very reminiscent to ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'', as they're very long and pointed.
* DaChief: He's as much this as he is a ByTheBookCop, to the point where he's just as likely to sentence his own men for [[DisproportionateRetribution very minor offenses]] in rapid succession.
* DarkIsNotEvil: He is a skeleton in black clothing and is a figure of justice.
* DemBones: He's [[WreathedInFlames a flaming skeleton]] who's also the head for a branch of [[SpacePolice a intergalactic police force]].
* DisproportionateRetribution: What's his response and the sentence he gives to any space crime? ''Execution!''
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: The flames on his head were [[WordOfGod intentionally designed]] to look like a marijuana leaf.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: When Luluco first meets him, he arrests her for being a middle school student. When she points out this isn't illegal, he lets her go. After learning how Luluco's dad was frozen from eating a freezing pill with his breakfast, Over Justice arrests her again... and releases her again when she insists it was an accident.
* EquippableAlly: Hisho wields his Judgement Gun form in episode 12.
* AFatherToHisMen: Cares greatly about the people under his command and swears to protect them... [[DaChief when he remembers not to arrest them for multiple offenses on the spot that is]].
* FlatCharacter: [[LimitedAnimation Aside from the obvious]], he's one of the few characters that rarely changed throughout the series.
* ForGreatJustice: Just ''try'' to get him to stop thinking justice for more than a second. It's practically impossible. His passion for justice is such that he ends up as a FlatCharacter (figuratively and literally), doing little more than pursuing criminals in the name of justice.
* LargeHam: ''Good God'', nothing he ever says or does is anything less than outrageously dramatic. It's telling that, in the WorldOfHam of the show, Over Justice manages to be among the hammiest consistently.
* LetsGetDangerous: After Lalaco absolutely annihilates Space Patrol in less than couple of seconds, Over Justice immediately gets [[AFatherToHisMen serious]] and has a massive AnimationBump, even activating his own Judgement Gun in the process to defend them from Lalaco. [[EpicFail It]] [[CurbStompBattle doesn't]] [[LudicrousGibs work]], but points for trying.
* LimitedAnimation: Over Justice moves in the same fashion that WebAnimation/InfernoCop does, which is only one frame. That is, [[AnimationBump until]] [[LetsGetDangerous he gets serious]] anyway.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: He's a [[WreathedInFlames flaming]] [[DemBones skeleton]] [[SpacePolice space police]] [[DaChief chief]] that also turns into a gun.
* RankUp: He becomes the overall leader of the Space Patrol in the finale.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: When Hisho wields his Judgement Gun in Episode 12, he takes on the form of a shotgun.
* SpacePolice: Chief of Police for the Ogikubo branch of Space Patrol, an interstellar law enforcement organization.
* StealthPun: Over Justice is a two-dimensional being who rarely says anything that doesn't have to do with Justice. He's ''literally'' the flattest character in the show.
* WreathedInFlames: His neck and head are constantly emitting an aura of flame. Flames of '''JUSTICE''' that is! They're even hot enough to burn Life Fibers.

-> '''Voiced by:''' Creator/MitsuoIwata (Japanese), Creator/BrettWeaver (English)

Luluco's father, an affectionate single parent who is also a detective for Space Patrol. The plot kicks off when he accidentally freezes himself at breakfast.
----
* ActionDad: Father of a 13 year old daughter, and capable of kicking ass as a cop.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: The real reason why he keeps going after Lalaco because deep down he still loves her and as the WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue affirms, like Luluco, that he'll chase her to the ends of the universe.
* BigOlEyebrows: Has a pair of eyebrows almost as big as ''his eyes'', which indicate his scruffy masculinity and hot-bloodedness.
* CowboyCop: Declares that sometimes you need to bend the law in order to catch the perp.
* CrazyPrepared: Had the foresight to install a secret rocket hangar in his apartment.
* DatingCatwoman: He knew his wife was an extremely powerful {{Space Pirate|s}} when they were married, regularly getting to very intense fights with her before she left him.
* GoodParents: Loves his daughter to bits and wants nothing more than for her to live a normal, happy life. And while he might not be thrilled with the thought of her having a boyfriend, he still encourages her to hunt down Nova after his HeroicSacrifice.
* HotBlooded: Full of energy and determination from the moment he wakes up every day, he praises how Luluco does the cooking and chores with almost the same level of intensity as when he's fired up about justice. We have to say ''almost'', because when he's in pursuit of a lawbreaker, he takes his shouting up a notch and ''literally'' sweats adrenaline!
* HumanPopsicle: After accidentally eating a cryonic pill, he is frozen in a block of ice. On top of that, his head shattered into several pieces. In episode 6 the Space Patrol warm up and stimulate part of his brain so he can help them stop Lalaco.
* InformedAbility: Lalaco implies that Keiji is the only member of the Space Patrol who could have actually provided her a challenge, which is why she had him [[HumanPopsicle frozen]] at the start of the series. Since he spends majority of it out of commission, we never really get to see what he is capable of.
* LargeHam: Expresses all his emotions in an exaggerated fashion, with a voice and gestures to match.
* MeaningfulName: One spelling of the word Keiji brings us to the word for a "police detective". Guess he was born for this job, huh?
* NoIndoorVoice: Tends to shout everything at the top of his voice, even when sitting at the breakfast table. Exaggerated when he confronts Lalaco.
* ObsessivelyNormal: An odd example of a character who is HotBlooded about being normal, having tried to raise Luluco as normally as possible so as not to turn out like her mom. He passionately entreats Lalaco to return to normal when he confronts her.
* OcularGushers: So proud of Luluco that he's moved to tears, which continuously shoot out at high pressure for at least 15 seconds.
* PermaStubble: Always looks like he's gone a couple days without a shave, the mark of a badass who lives a hard-boiled, overworked lifestyle as a detective.
* SoProudOfYou: Tells Luluco he's proud of her for growing up to be so normal.
* ShoutOut: He looks very much like a much more rugged [[Film/BladeRunner Deckard,]] he even has [[BadassLongCoat his long coat.]]
* {{Sleepyhead}}: As the result of the way his brain activity was revived, he quickly runs out of energy and falls asleep at the worst times.
* UglyGuyHotWife: Compared to his bombshell ex-wife Lalaco, he's very scruffy in his appearance.
* WorthyOpponent: As far as Lalaco is concerned, he's the only one who's actually a threat.

[[folder:Secretary]]
[[quoteright:137:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hisho.png]]

A temporary staff worker at the Space Patrol. She serves as Over Justice's personal secretary.
----
* BewareTheQuietOnes: She does a combination attack with Over Justice in episode 12 complete with her first (extremely quiet) spoken line.
* CallingYourAttacks:
-->'''Secretary:''' ''[quietly]'' Secretary Final Fire.
* EmotionlessGirl: She ''almost'' never shows emotion. The one time she does is when she bursts into TearsOfJoy when Luluco comes back to life. [[TheVoiceless She still doesn't make a sound however.]]
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: She is simply called "Secretary", or "Hisho" in Japanese. It's unknown if that's her real name or not, because while rare, [[HisNameReallyIsBarkeep "Hisho" is in fact a real name.]]
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Her iris is mono-color without any reflection save for a white diagonal line in the middle, instead of the usual anime eyes the other characters have.
* NotSoStoic: In episode 11, [[OcularGushers she's barely holding back rivers]] when Luluco comes back to life.
* SatelliteCharacter: She is always seen accompanying Over Justice.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Sometimes her glasses catch the light and become opaque to make her even more inscrutable.
* TheStoic: Her face is eternally frozen in an uninterested stare.
* TheVoiceless: Goes through 11 episodes without speaking and then finally has a spoken line in episode 12. Although it's ''very'' quiet and can barely be heard above all the gunfire and screaming going on around her.

->'''Voiced by:''' Junichi Goto (Japanese), Creator/ChristopherSabat (English)

[[WebAnimation/InfernoCop The messenger of justice himself!]] Both an old member of Space Patrol and a friend of Over Justice, he has a special insight into how love and justice works.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: In his series, while being a ''[[ForGreatJustice very]]'' [[ForGreatJustice righteous figure]], Inferno Cop was also an AntiHero similar to ComicBook/ThePunisher and ComicBook/GhostRider, who would often make himself the JudgeJuryAndExecutioner and was totally willingly to [[ShootTheHostage harm innocents]] and [[ManipulativeBastard manipulate others]] to get justice. Here however, he serves as TheMentor to Luluco, lending an ear to her troubles and offers her much needed advice that motivates her out of her HeroicBSOD. That said, [[DependingOnTheWriter given how his series acknowledges and invokes changes with his character]], this is probably very intentional.
* ArtShift: He's drawn with a darker outline than he was in ''Inferno Cop'', probably to fit in more with the show's art style.
* AsLongAsThereIsEvil: States as such, for as long as evil exists, [[ForGreatJustice there'll always be a place for justice]].
* TheCameo: An outside guest from the show [[WebAnimation/InfernoCop Inferno Cop]].
* DeathIsCheap: He talks about how he's died and come back countless times. It helps that you can literally walk out of hell at any point you want.
* DontCallMeSir: Inferno Cop affirms that he's never been the boss of anyone when Luluco kept calling him Chief. He also doesn't want to be called 'mister', [[YoungerThanTheyLook because he's only 21]].
* EscapedFromHell: Inverted; he apparently ended up in Hell following his HeroicSacrifice, and has voluntarily stayed there ever since. He can also leave Hell anytime he wishes, so it's not a big issue for him.
* ForGreatJustice: Devoting his life to justice is still his defining trait.
* HiddenDepths: Displays a great deal of introspection and understanding of how justice works, which was never shown in his home series.
* IdenticalStranger: Looks so much like Over Justice that Luluco mistook him for the chief for a moment.
* LargeHam: Surprisingly averted. The closest he gets to acting hammy is when he tells Luluco not to call him sir.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: Makes his first appearance in Episode 11 with Luluco in Hell.
* LimitedAnimation: Kept his iconic ClipArtAnimation style as he came into this series.
* OldFriend: He and Over Justice were old friends, so much so that he knew immediately of who Luluco was talking about when [[YouRemindMeOfX she had confused Inferno Cop for him.]]
-->'''Inferno Cop''': "I look like ''Chief Over Justice''? [[ActuallyPrettyFunny What a funny joke!]]"
* OnlySaneMan: When [[LargeHam Inferno Cop]] happens to be the voice of reason, you know things have gotten pretty crazy.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Most likely intentional and justified plot-wise. Trigger fans were expecting Inferno Cop to do badass, logic-defying stunts; instead they got him quietly eating, speaking in a calm way and in general acting as a wise mentor. Some were disappointed, others embraced this new characterization, or were at least [[PlayedForLaughs amused by]] [[MoodWhiplash the change of pace]].
* TookALevelInKindness: He's gotten rid of his AntiHero traits since he came back to Hell.
* WalkingSpoiler: Discussing his presence, like Kill ** Killian, spoils the crossover.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: He really comes along to help motivate a dead Luluco both out of her depression from [[EvilAllAlong Nova's betrayal]] and to find a new sense of justice.

The extremely powerful leader of a group of SpacePirates who opposes Space Patrol and regularly fought Luluco's father before he got frozen, also Luluco's mom.
----
* AbusiveParents: [[ZigzaggedTrope Zigzagged]]. Lalaco attacks her daughter because they're on opposite sides of the law, but she is [[KickTheDog needlessly smug and cruel]] about it. Despite that, she is willing to help Luluco when she's ready to embrace her "abnormal" side.
* ActionMom: Natch. She deals a CurbStompBattle to the entire Space Patrol over the course of a single episode.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Despite her [[AbusiveParents Abusive Parent-status]], Lalaco is shown to truly love her daughter and might still have feelings for Keiji in her own unique way.
* BadassCape: Kicks ass while wearing a vast fur-fringed cape made out of [[Anime/KillLaKill Life Fibers]].
* BadIsGoodAndGoodIsBad: Treats [[IJustWantToBeNormal normal]] and [[IJustWantToBeSpecial abnormal]] like this, damning normality and embracing insanity wholeheartedly.
* BerserkButton: Lalaco '''loathes''' the very idea of [[IJustWantToBeNormal being normal]], and suggesting that she should be normal is a [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown very bad idea.]]
* CardCarryingVillain: Proud to admit that she's a space pirate, and not afraid of acting like a scumbag.
* CurbStompBattle: The whole fifth episode consists of her effortlessly defeating everyone who tries to stop her, including Luluco, Over Justice, and Keiji. It's not until Midori pulls out the black hole app that she finds herself in trouble.
* DatingCatwoman: Lalaco was an accomplished and powerful Space Pirate and Keiji was an incredibly dutiful police officer, but somehow they managed to settle down for each other and had Luluco... [[{{Deconstruction}} until their opposing natures ultimately led to her leaving]].
* DressedToPlunder: Dresses like Captain Morgan with an enormous tricorn hat bearing the skull-and-crossbones, an 18th-century-style naval jacket, and high-heeled bucket-topped boots.
* DynamicEntry: Emerges from a collapsing meteorite burning through the atmosphere that just blew up and seizes Luluco for the whole way down.
* EnemyMine: She may be a ruthless {{Space Pirate|s}} and abusive parent, but she won't let anything stand in the way of her daughter's love confession, so she joins forces with Over Justice and Keiji to cover her attack.
* EvilRedhead: Evil? Check. Abusive to her daughter? Check. Bright orange hair? Check. Then again, maybe she's not ''that'' evil.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: In Episode 10 she senses that something has happened to her daughter, revealing that she cares about her on some level, and in episode 12 she arrives with TheCavalry to save her daughter, telling her to confess her love to Nova.
* FieryRedhead: Her personality is as fiery and aggressive as her red-orange hair.
* InvincibleVillain: Unlike other the antagonists later in the series, Lalaco thoroughly [[CurbStompBattle owns the entire cast]] in her debut and never receives any real comeupperance, even when Midori uses the [[WeaponizedTeleportation quasi-legal Blackhole app]] against her en mass, she fails to stop her from stealing Ogikubo, successfully selling it off, and kickstarting the plot for the rest of the series. Fortunately for them, however, she is also a NobleDemon, which allows them not only to survive her encounter, but also proves to benefit the protagonists in the end when [[TheSixthRanger she decides to help her daughter and provide them much needed aid against Space Patrol HQ]].
* LargeHam: She's able to compete with '''''[[NoIndoorVoice Over Justice]]''''' on how much they can [[ChewingTheScenery chew the scenery]].
* LetHerGrowUpDear: She lets Luluco borrow her CoolStarship and provides air support so she can confess to Nova. Keiji is less than pleased, but he helps anyway.
* MissingMom: Left Luluco and her husband behind when she was younger after they had a particularly nasty fight.
* NobleDemon: Enough of one to check up on her thought-to-be-dead daughter, allowing her to borrow her ship, form an EnemyMine with the Space Patrol, and all so she can go confess her love to a boy, encouraging her all the way.
* OhCrap: Has a big moment of panic when Midori uses ''all'' of the remaining [[WeaponizedTeleportation quasi-legal Blackhole apps]] to seize her ship while in the middle of sending off Ogikubo through a wormhole.
* PetTheDog: While it doesn't make up for all the trauma she put her daughter through, and she goes back to being an unrepentant criminal afterwards, her aid to Luluco in the final battle shows that she has some love and respect for her daughter after all.
* ShipperWithAnAgenda: Urges Luluco to confess her love to Nova in episode 12, though in principle it's more about teaching Luluco to stand up for her feelings.
* ShoutOut: Her outfit is seemingly made from [[Anime/KillLaKill Life Fibers]].
* SoProudOfYou: Tells Luluco in episode 12 that since they last fought, she's grown up and become a fine woman. It's the only time she drops her eternally smug grin for a gentle smile of motherly affection.
* SpacePirates: Captain of a ship and crew of space-faring outlaws who rob and plunder. They even have an anachronistic pirate theme to their costumes and a ship resembling an old-fashioned sailing vessel.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her fighting outfit makes both [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Yoko Littner]] and [[Anime/KillLaKill Ryuko Matoi]] seem ''modest'' in comparison. She wears her coat open in front with nothing but a thong and bikini underneath, and her ThongOfShielding doesn't even connect between the front and back at the waistband!
* UglyGuyHotWife: While her ex-husband Keiji looks kind of dumpy, Lalaco is without a doubt jaw-dropping gorgeous.
* TheUnfettered: Openly refers to herself as such. She doesn't let anyone get in her way once she finds something that she wants, even her own daughter.
* UnmovingPlaid: The inner surface of her cape has completely straight red lines that slide back and forth, like the Life Fibers of ''Anime/KillLaKill''.
* WorthyOpponent: She saw her ex-husband Keiji as he was the only person who could give her a half-decent fight, which is why she had him frozen to begin with to [[SpannerInTheWorks prevent him from stopping her plans]].
* WouldHurtAChild: Completely fine with beating up middle schoolers if they get in her way.

[[folder:Kill ** Killian]]

A malevolent alien from the home planet of the [[Anime/KillLaKill life fibers]]. Their appearance changes into whatever the beholder most desires, so Luluco sees him as Nova.
----
* AppearanceIsInTheEyeOfTheBeholder: Looks like whatever you really desire, except wearing a COVER. Luluco sees them as Nova.
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: Declares, "If I'm going to be burned by you snot-nosed brats, I'd rather burn myself!" He then immolates himself to death using his own hands, which are already burning.
* CensoredForComedy: It's pretty obvious ''what'' those two censored letters are[[note]][[DontExplainTheJoke la]][[/note]].
* EmotionEater: He and the life fibers feed upon people's desires.
* ManOfWealthAndTaste: A well-dressed villain wearing a fashionable suit of life fibers, which resembles the COVERS from ''Anime/KillLaKill''.
* OhCrap: Goes from gloating to alarmed in an instant when he realizes that Over Justice has set his threads on fire.
* SmugSnake: Smugly announces that the Space Patrol can never escape his life fibers without special scissors, only to lose his cool when Over Justice produces a different weakness.
* VillainousBreakdown: Loses his smugness and falls into terror, rage, and denial when Over Justice manages to set him on fire and free the Space Patrol.
* WalkingSpoiler: Discussing them at all reveals the first crossover episode.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Fire - not because of what it is, as fire is usually considered a normal weakness, but because any fire at all can burn up both Kill ** Killian and ''their entire planet''. Whoops.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/NobuyukiHiyama (Japanese), Creator/ChristopherBevins (English)

Supposedly the leader of Space Patrol. Something's off about him, though, and it turns out he's a Blackholeian who had been using the main cast in order to get the treasure he desires.
----
* BerserkButton: Because of his inflated self-importance and conviction that middle schoolers are the most stupid and annoying creatures in the universe, he goes completely irate when Luluco calls him worse than a normal middle schooler, just when you thought he couldn't get any more angry than he already was!
* BigBad: The villain who was manipulating everything from behind the scenes for his evil plan. According to Over Justice, the Blackholeians are the ultimate evil in the universe.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: His ideals don't make much sense, and the other characters recognize this.
* CatchPhrase: Repeatedly refers to the heroes as "Stupid middle schoolers", usually with some condescending and long-winded epithet such as "stupid-middle-schooler-who-tears-the-seams-of-her-own-track-suit", or "stupid-middle-schooler-who-doesn't-know-when-to-give-up". When the tide turns in the final battle, Luluco turns his ''own'' catch phrase against him:
--> "Evil Blackholeian who meaninglessly keeps stealing things people hold dear and causing them grief! People die when they're shot! I'll teach you that normal fact of life right now!"
* TheChessmaster: Skillfully manipulates multiple parties including Space Patrol, the Space Pirates, and the three middle-schoolers as part of an EvilPlan.
* CollectorOfTheStrange: [[PlanetOfHats His entire species]] started off stealing every valuable they could. [[VictoryIsBoring They were unsatisfied once they had it all]] and decided to start taking the ''least'' valuable things they could, basically degenerating into galactic-scale [[StickyFingers klepotomania]].
* CrazyPrepared: Implanted a black hole in Nova's head on the off chance that he rebelled, despite the fact that Nothinglings don't have any initiative.
* DarkIsEvil: The guy has a black hole for a head. You don't get any darker than that! It's vacuous darkness which doesn't even allow light to escape represents his bottomless greed and evil.
* DefiantToTheEnd: Even as everything's falling apart around him and he's getting sucked into his own black hole with Nova [[HeroicSacrifice sacrificing]] himself to hold him back, [[NoFourthWall he vows that he'll be back for]] [[SequelHook the second and the third and so on]].
* DramaticUnmask: Disguised at first with the identity of the commander-in-chief of Space Patrol, with a head resembling a planet circled by two rings, he removes his mask to reveal the black hole where his head should be.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Faced with the beam emanating from Luluco's heart, he cries "What is that light? There's no way Nova could develop feelings!" And when Nova declares his love for Luluco, he rages, "'Love,' nothing! Pointless, worthless, meaningless! This is why I hate stupid middle schoolers!"
* EvilGloating: Enjoys rubbing his opponents' defeat in their faces, to the point where he wastes time that could be better spent eliminating them for good.
* EvilIsPetty: Despite leading a galaxy-wide evil conspiracy, he's the sort of guy who would go out of his way just to make life miserable for a particular middle school girl. Furthermore he wants to steal all the worthless crap in the entire universe, which Luluco asserts is nothing more than taking pleasure in "super space shoplifting". Lastly, he seems to have a narcissistic need to put other people down while being unable to tolerate any criticism of himself, to the point where he engages in surprisingly juvenile name-calling against a "mere middle schooler" opponent.
* EvilLaugh: Laughs like a maniac as he leaves Luluco dead of a broken heart.
* EvilRunningGood: He's the commander-in-chief of the Space Patrol. It's implied that he got the position by brainwashing everyone at headquarters.
* ForTheEvulz: Shows no care for the Aflutter gem once he actually obtains it, and smashes it despite all the trouble he went through to get it just so that he can be mean to Luluco. Midori even lampshades how self-defeating and wasteful this is, to which Over Justice replies, "True evil is often terrifyingly incomprehensible".
* {{Greed}}: He and his species have a bottomless need to steal and hoard everything, even that which has no value to them whatsoever.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Nova, the person he considered an emotionless slave and used to steal Luluco's Aflutter Jewel, rebels against him and helps Luluco to defeat him. Nova accomplishes this by turning himself into a bullet, so that the mini-black hole inside him and the Blackholeian's black hole react with each other, causing them both to vanish from this universe.
* ImpossibleThief: He comes from a race whose schtick is stealing anything and everything whether it makes sense or not, including both massive objects such as cities and intangible concepts such as the love of a stupid girl.
* KickTheDog: Smashing Luluco's Aflutter Jewel is a cruel and pointless act that demonstrates just how much of a bastard he is.
* LargeHam: An exaggerated gloating villain who makes pompous speeches and chews the scenery, he's the BigBad that this WorldOfHam truly deserves.
* {{Narcissist}}: A completely self-absorbed creature who loves to hear himself talk and can't stand being ignored, such as when Midori falls asleep as he lectures about his EvilPlan, or criticized, as when Luluco calls him a mere shoplifter. For a guy who's supposed to be a big villain he's surprisingly thin-skinned and self-conscious.
* NoFaceUnderTheMask: Blackholians have [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin a black hole]] where their heads should be.
* OneWingedAngel: Faced with Nova's rebellion and Luluco's new power, he transforms into a ludicrously frightening final combat form.
* PaintingTheMedium: His head, given that it's a black hole, behaves like an actual black hole would as it distorts the light of the immediate environment around it.
* ShipTease: With the Whiteholian from the Episode 13.5 Drama CD.
* SoBadItsGood: In-universe, his race developed this philosophy when it came to treasure hunting; the most worthless items in the world have worth to them because of just how sucky they are. This is why he wants the Aflutter Jewel... so he can destroy it, as the shallow first love of a foolish teenager is, in his nonexistent eyes, the most worthless thing of all.
* ThisCannotBe: He has quite a few of these during his fight with Luluco to very comedic levels.
* TurnsRed: When his plans begin to go south and Luluco manages to [[HeelFaceTurn turn Nova over]] with love, he just decides to go OneWingedAngel to try and kick everyone's ass... And that's before Luluco wounds his ego and pushes him to his limit.
* VillainousBreakdown: After Luluco tells him off by being "[[MinorInsultMeltdown worse than a middle-schooler]]", whatever bit of coolness he had left leaves the Blackholeian and he just completely flies off the handle.
