* {{Bishonen}}: He definitely catches the eyes of both Luluco and Midori and have them fall for him, that's for sure. Exploited, since the Blackholians picked an agent that a naive teenage girl would definitely fall for.

* OverProtectiveDad: When informed that his daughter is going to confess to a boy, he declares that she's too young and he won't allow it.

* {{Expy}}:
** Of [[Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt Brief's pretty boy look]].
** Also, he's one to [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Kaworu Nagisa]], both in look and personality, as well as his relationship with Luluco and his presence complicating the LoveTriangle between the group. He's even shown doing Kaworu's sitting pose.
** Based on his emotional equilibrium, his apathetic, subservient attitude to almost everyone, and as his eventual rejection of that role, he also serves as a ReiAyanamiExpy on top of being one of Kaworu. Fittingly enough, one of his earlier character designs had him in Rei's colors.
** His betrayal? That's been done [[Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt before]].
** And the color of his eyes and hair?.....yeah this guy is basically the fusion between [[Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt Panty, Stocking and Brief]].

* {{Expy}}: Personality-wise, she's a throwback to [[{{Anime/FLCL}} Haruko Haruhara]] except with even less subtly at how much she's the TokenEvilTeammate. It helps that she's voiced by Creator/MayumiShintani as well.

* {{Expy}}:
** He's basically WebAnimation/InfernoCop if you gave him a promotion and [[CoolShades cooler shades]]. Luluco even [[LampshadedTrope lampshades]] this when she meets Inferno Cop himself in Hell.
** He's also what would happen if [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Doggie Kruger]] was a skeleton instead of a dog and was high on crack all the time. They even share [[Creator/TetsuInada the same voice actor]].
** The two times he transforms he looks almost exactly like the [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Super Granzeboma]].

* {{Expy}}: His manner of revival as a talking head is similar to [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Lordgenome as the Biocomputer]].

* {{Expy}}: Appearance-wise, she looks strikingly like [[Franchise/LittleWitchAcademia Professor Ursula]].

* LimitedAnimation: Kept his iconic ClipArtAnimation style as he came into this series, something that Over Justice [[{{Expy}} inherited]].

* {{Expy}}: Downplayed. She share some aspects with [[Anime/KillLaKill Ragyo Kiryuin]], such as being an EvilMatriarch to the main protagonist, with her outfit seemingly being made by Life Fibers, which goes hand in hand with how {{Stripperiffic}} her outfit is. Lalaco is revealed to genuinely love her daughter though unlike Ragyo and is much less evil.

* {{Expy}}: His demeanor draws very close parallels to [[Anime/KillLaKill Ragyo Kiriyuin]].

* {{Expy}}: He's basically [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann the Anti-Spiral]] if you took out the WellIntentionedExtremist part of his character.

* TheBlank: Blackholians have [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin a black hole]] where their heads should be.

* IJustWantToBeNormal: An odd example of a character who is HotBlooded about being normal, having tried to raise Luluco as normally as possible so as not to turn out like her mom. He passionately entreats Lalaco to return to normal when he confronts her.

* AbusiveParents: [[ZigzaggedTrope Zigzagged]]. While she doesn't have the slightest bit of restraint in trying to beat the crap out of her own daughter when she gets in her way. If it's something that will help her grow up, however, she also won't hesitate to do all that she can for her.

* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her fighting outfit makes both [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Yoko Littner]] and [[Anime/KillLaKill Ryuko Matoi]] seem ''modest'' in comparison. She wears her coat open in front with nothing but a thong and bikini underneath, and her ThongOfShielding doesn't even connect between the front and back at the waistband! [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] as it's a ShoutOut to the Life Fibers, so her outfit is designed like a Kamui.

* BareYourMidriff: Her stomach is completely exposed as Trigger-chan.

* EleventhHourSuperpower: For the final battle, she gains access to the Deep Love Gun Morphing. It's so powerful that a single shot can ''seal a black hole''.

* NoMoreHoldingBackSpeech: "My first love isn't over just yet, I have to tell him clearly how I feel, and ask how he truly feels about me."

* MeaningfulName: Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet and, in the words of the Blackholian, he was "the beginning and the end for Luluco."

* CatchPhrase: Repeatedly refers to the heroes as "Stupid middle schoolers", usually with some condescending and long-winded epithet such as "stupid-middle-schooler-who-tears-the-seams-of-her-own-track-suit", or "stupid-middle-schooler-who-doesn't-know-when-to-give-up." When the tide turns in the final battle, Luluco turns his ''own'' catch phrase against him:

* ForTheEvulz: Shows no care for the Aflutter gem once he actually obtains it, and smashes it despite all the trouble he went through to get it just so that he can be mean to Luluco. Midori even lampshades how self-defeating and wasteful this is, to which Over Justice replies, "True evil is often terrifyingly incomprehensible."
