The deities and mythological characters of the Mayans which are playable in ''SMITE''. The Myth/MayanMythology page deals with and can provide beneficent information about their real world counterparts.
----
* BeastMan: While not to the same degree as the Egyptians, most of the Mayan characters are animalistic or have animal traits.
* InconsistentDub: The "X" used in Mayan names is meant to be pronounced "SH" instead of "ECKS" like in English. The game uses the correct former pronunciation for Xbalanque (likely because his name would be TheUnpronounceable without it) but uses the latter for Awilix (despite debuting ''much later'').
* MagicalNativeAmerican: Given that the game's premise is to see deities and mythical characters duking it out, it's to be expected. With that said, the Mayans are currently the only pantheon from the Americas.
* {{Mayincatec}}: They were added with the sole purpose of having a Mesoamerican civilization in the game. With that said, they heavily avert this trope and accurately depict their culture.

During the earlier days of mankind, farmers did not exist, and thus mankind starved. The God of Rain, Chaac, tried to find a way to help feed the people. He discovered a golden boulder in the mountain and cleaved it with his axe, discovering the Maize, a crop that would change the Mayan people forever.

The people rejoiced and worshipped Chaac for it, but in turn this made Chaac drunk with pride. Swelling with that pride, he sought an affair to his brother's wife. They managed to keep the affair a secret, until said brother, the Sun God, found out. The wife dutifully returned and Chaac let her go, but at that point, an unrepairable rift was formed between the brothers. Grieving on this, Chaac drove his axe to the sky and his tears of regret fell from the sky, becoming rain.

From that point on, Chaac concentrates to devote himself for mankind, no longer being influenced with pride and selfishness as an atonement. To remind himself for his failings, he cleaved the heavens, creating more rain and helping crops for the people grow.

Chaac is a Warrior god who has no trouble outlasting any opponent who gets in his way.

* His passive, ''Overflow'', grants him a stack with every successful basic attack. Upon reaching five stacks, his next ability will have a reduced cooldown and cost no mana to use.
* His first ability, ''Thunder Strike'', makes Chaac hurl his axe at a nearby area, damaging all enemies inside. The axe will remain there for a few seconds, enhancing his other abilities.
* With his second ability, ''Torrent'', Chaac spins his axe around him, damaging all nearby enemies and granting himself a temporary bonus to his physical and magical protections for each enemy hit. If the axe from ''Thunder Strike'' is out, he will first teleport to the axe's location before executing the spin, damaging enemies he passes through.
* His third ability, ''Rain Dance'', summons a rainstorm around himself for a few seconds, healing Chaac over time while slowing nearby enemies and reducing their Power and Attack Speed. If the axe from ''Thunder Strike'' is out, a second rainstorm will be summoned at the axe's location. If an enemy is within both rainstorms, the slow and Attack Speed reduction is doubled.
* With his ultimate ability, ''Storm Call'', Chaac will charge his axe with lightning and then slam it onto the ground, releasing a blast that will damage, silence, and knock up all nearby foes. While in the air he also takes reduced damage and is immune to crowd-control effects.
----
* TheAhnold: He sounds like a South American trying to do an Arnold impersonation.
* AnthropomorphicFood: The Chaacolate skin seems to be made from chocolate.
* TheAtoner: Yeah, he's still trying to make up for having an affair with his brother's wife.
* BellyMouth: His Abyssal Executioner skin has a mouth on his belly.
* BoisterousBruiser: Given that he's TheAhnold, he's very loud and prone to bad, if boastful, jokes.
--> "When it rains, it pours... My fists!"
* {{Combos}}: His axe can empower his other basic abilities, with ''Torrent'' teleporting him to its location before activating and ''Rain Dance'' producing a much-larger area of mud centered on the axe.
* {{Cthulhumanoid}}: His Abyssal Executioner skin has facial tentacles.
* {{Determinator}}: With ''Overflow'' making his abilities mana-free and ''Rain Dance'' replenishing his health, Chaac has very high sustain. Oh, and he sounds like ''de'' Franchise/{{Terminator}}.
* FlashStep: When using ''Torrent'' to dash to his axe from ''Thunder Strike''. It can even go through walls, which is his main form of escape.
* HappyRain: Chaac represents the life-giving and life-sustaining aspects of rain, rather than the melancholy. Similarly, one of his abilities summons a PersonalRaincloud that regenerates his health, as well as making enemies slow down in the mud.
* ICallItVera: How he calls his axe. So the enemies can [[ShoutOut GET TO]] [[TheAhnold HIS]] [[Film/{{Predator}} CHAACCA!]]
* IncrediblyLamePun: One joke of his:
--> "New plan: [[ShockAndAwe Chaac and awe]]!"
* LightningBruiser: He has the build of a bodybuilder, and hits as hard as one, but his abilities makes sure that he can both chase and avoid enemies better than most Warriors in the game.
* LighterAndSofter: Chaac's favored sacrifices, from what we know of Mayan lore, were human beings, hurled into the Sacred Cenote at Chichen Itza to drown. The game doesn't even mention this, and Chaac is played in personality and speech as being heroic on the merit of atoning for his past sins.
* ShieldsAreUseless: He carries one around, but none of his abilities use it to block.
* ShockAndAwe: Keep in mind that only one of his attacks has anything to do with rain. Guess what the other attacks do.
* ShoutOut: His [[SerialKiller Slaughterhouse]] skin is a very clear reference to [[Franchise/FridayThe13th Jason Voorhees.]]
** More likely a reference to Splatterhouse.
** His Chaacolate skin will sometimes make one to the song [[Music/TayZonday "Chocolate Rain".]]
---> "Chocolate pain!"
** His Stormjarl and Einherjar skins make one to ''{{VideoGame/Fallout}}.''
---> "War never changes!"
* WalkingShirtlessScene: All he has on his chest is a presumably ceremonial necklace.

Cabrakan is a demonic, hulking beast born from the demon bird Seven Macaw. As the Destroyer of Mountains, he possesses enormous strength enough to tremble and tear down the Earth itself. And he proudly reveled in his destructive powers.

The Hero Twins, Xbalanque and Hun-Apuh, made it their mission to end the Seven Macaws and his entire lineage, thus Cabrakan was on their hit-list. Playing on his pride with sweet words and praises, the Hero Twins managed to rope Cabrakan into a feast where he was offered a bird. [[LittleDidIKnow Little did he know]] that Hun-Apuh has coated the bird with deadly poison. And thus, Cabrakan collapsed and the Hero Twins left with their mission completed...

Or so they thought. The poison did not completely killed Cabrakan, merely putting him into a deep sleep. When the Gods ended up fighting each other, Cabrakan awakened. Desiring vengeance for being played for a fool, he joined the battle to make at least just Xbalanque pay and then destroy other Gods to prove his might.

Cabrakan is a Guardian god who trades away supportive capabilities in favor of being purely aggressive.

* His passive, ''Shadow Zone'', grants a small amount of damage reduction to himself and nearby allies.
* His first ability, ''Seismic Crush'', enrages Cabrakan, giving him Haste as well as increased Attack Speed and Movement Speed for a short duration. During this time, he is immune to Roots and Slows. Landing a basic attack will end his rage but will deal extra damage and stun the target.
* Cabrakan's second ability, ''Refraction Shield'', passively grants him a stacking Protection buff when attacked, up to five times. Activating the ability makes him smash his shields together, creating a shockwave that damages foes in a small cone and restores Cabrakan's mana for each enemy hit. If the ability's protection buff is fully stacked, then Cabrakan will consume them all to stun enemy Gods hit.
* Using his third ability, ''Tremors'', Cabrakan begins pounding the ground, dealing light damage to all enemies caught in the large area, drawing them closer, and shaking their screen. This ability can be channeled up to ten seconds as long as Cabrakan has the mana to keep going, and has a very short cooldown.
* His ultimate ability, ''Tectonic Shift'', sends a shockwave a short distance ahead of Cabrakan, damaging all enemies caught in its path and creating five walls of jagged rock in a semi-circle. These walls block movement and projectiles and last a considerable duration. Allies and enemies can attack and destroy them with several basic attacks; Cabrakan himself only ever needs one each.
----
* AbsurdlyIneffectiveBarricade: Not only can the wall created by his ultimate be knocked down by basic attacks, but it also only forms a half-circle, so characters are perfectly capable of walking back out and then around it. Many characters can also simply jump over it. Even worse, when he first came out the wall segments could be damaged by abilities in addition to basic attacks, allowing many characters with AOE skills to destroy most or all of them almost instantly. Bonus points for when he [[{{Irony}} declares]] [[LargeHam "THERE'S NO WAY OUT!!"]] as he's casting it.
** Despite all of the above, if the wall stops someone for even a second, that can be enough time for Cabrakan's team to catch and kill them.
* BraidsOfBarbarism: A violent giant with long, intricately braided hair.
* DualWielding: Armed with two shields. He even boasts about it to Ares.
* ForTheEvulz: Probably the only reason he could come up with for destroying mountains.
* GeoEffects: His ultimate forms a wall in a half-circle. However, unlike Ymir's and Anhur's walls, the walls of Cabrakan's ult can be destroyed with basic attacks.
* ImprovisedWeapon: Some of his alternate skins replace his shields with these. Cars for Gamma Slam, computer cases for Nerd Rage, and sarcophagi for Gravemaker and Pharaoh's Cuse.
* InterfaceScrew: Getting caught in Cabrakan's ''Tremors'' will shake your screen.
* LightningBruiser: ''Seismic Crush'' temporarily turns him into one of these as he rushes forward with a not-insignificant speed boost, ignoring roots and slows to smash your head in. And trying to shoot him down will only charge up his protections and potentially give him another stun to use if he gets close.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: And if it won't, he has a second one, too. Both shields also have rotating grips for SpectacularSpinning.
* MagikarpPower: Rather unusual for a Guardian, his early game is pretty weak, as his damage is pretty mediocre and he can't soak up much damage due to his base stats being rather low, though the passive function of ''Refraction Shield'' does mitigate that to a degree. Come late game, however, and Cabrakan becomes TheJuggernaut, able to simply walk through your slows and your roots to stun you with a significant chunk of damage, getting harder to hurt as you hurt him which leads to yet ''another'' stun. The ability to completely disrupt your movement with his ''Tremors'' while trapped by his ultimate, even if it is somewhat ineffective against leaps, can still prevent you from escaping as he and his teammates bring about your doom.
* MightyGlacier: Cabrakan has rather high base damage on all of his abilities, to the point that he's sometimes called "Fat Loki" due to his ability to burst a squishy target down with the proper build, and he's very effective at locking somebody down to bring more hurt. But without ''Seismic Crush'', he's not going to be chasing anybody down too easily, ''especially'' if they have jumps or dashes.
* NephariousPharaoh: His Pharaoh's Curse skin makes him into the mummy of an Egyptian pharaoh.
* {{Revenge}}: Cabrakan is pissed at Xbalanque and his brother, who tricked him and put him to sleep.
* ShieldBash: Obviously, all of his melee attacks.
* ShockwaveStomp: Between ''Tremors'' (rapidly slamming shields on ground) and his ultimate (an actual stomp).
* ShoutOut: Despite having the wrong skin color, his Gamma Slam skin is a shout out to the [[ComicBook/TheIncredibleHulk Hulk]], both in name and in replacing his shields with [[Film/{{The Incredible Hulk|2008}} cars.]]
* SparedByAdaptation: He should've been killed by the poisons of the Hero Twins, but here it just put him to sleep. He wakes up during the chaos between the Pantheons, burning with vengeance.
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: His shields appear and disappear when needed, without any fanfare.
* SuperStrength: He is the Destroyer of Mountains, after all.
* TopHeavyGuy: Very broad, muscular torso that makes up over half his height, with arms longer and thicker than his legs -- the classic "exaggerated bodybuilder v-taper".

The Mayan underworld Xibalba has several levels beneath the surface. The upper levels are reserved for vile and malicious people. However, on the lowest level, the ninth level Mitnal, lies a being of true evil, the lord of the ninth Hell, Ah Puch, the mighty Hell Lord who wants to claim as many corpses as he can to make them his playthings, tormenting them with a macabre glee.\
Ah Puch usually rises and roams the land at night, wearing a wreath of human eyes, a gruesome skull face, and a shriek of ghostly owls. If he finds a human at night, he'll kill them and drag their soul to endless oblivion. The only way to avoid Ah Puch's claim is to pretend that his servants got you first, by wailing loudly, moaning in agony, or just overall screaming.\
The age of eternal night is coming, so Ah Puch is on the hunt. The Horrific God of Decay has a lot of vacancy in the Nine Hells, and he wants to make them full. Gods and men should probably start being afraid and hide at this point.\
Ah Puch is a Mage god who uses the corpses of the ninth hell to slow his enemies down and destroy them, his decay applying lasting, difficult to heal injuries.

* His passive, ''Hollow Ground'', reduces the cooldown of ''Undead Surge'' and ''Corpse Explosion'' ability and restores a percentage of his max HP and MP whenever he collects a corpse left behind by one of his other abilities. There can only be a maximum of six corpses at one time, each lasting for 45 seconds or until consumed or destroyed by an enemy's basic attacks.
* His first ability, ''Undead Surge'', summons two decaying corpses which runs forward and explode when it hits an enemy, reaches maximum range, or if Ah Puch reactivates the ability, dealing damage, slowing, and reducing the healing of enemies in an area. After exploding, the corpses are left behind.
* His second ability, ''Corpse Explosion'', causes the area to explode after a short delay, dealing damage to all enemies within. Any corpses in the area also explode, dealing further damage.
* His third ability, ''Fleeting Breath'', awakens a decaying corpse to apply miasma in the area, then remain to be consumed. Enemies affected by the miasma take damage over time. If an enemy is healed while they are affected by the miasma, they will take a large burst of damage and be stunned when the miasma expires.
* Ah Puch's ultimate ability, ''Empty the Crypt'', unleashes an army of wraiths that constantly charge across a large area for six seconds, dealing damage to enemies they collide with. The wraiths apply a stacking anti-heal debuff with each hit.\
Ah Puch's alternate skins include Death Mask Ah Puch, Galactic Invader Ah Puch, Nutcromancer Ah Puch, Chilling Grasp Ah Puch, Freaky Tiki Ah Puch, and Shadow Spirit Ah Puch.
----
* BulletHell: A quick-footed enemy like Mercury could, with enough skill, dodge every single wraith from Ah Puch's ultimate.
* {{Combo}}: His first and third abilities leave behind corpses which can be consumed by his second one (for extra damage) or his passive (to sustain him). The timing is deliberately tuned so that using his abilities back-to-back will result in all corpses exploding.
* DarkIsEvil: Unlike many other death gods in Smite, Ah Puch is malevolent and actively tries to increase the number of souls under his domain.
* DifficultButAwesome: Ah Puch is a really hard god to play, his abilities all require ample amounts of timing and precision to truly damage the enemy and he completely lacks an escape. The amount of burst damage he can do though is absolutely ''obscene'', play him right and he can easily one shot most squishier characters and cut the health of the toughest tanks in half. Having built in anti-heal with his three also makes him the bane of both support focused gods and gods who can self-heal.
* DramaticEllipsis: Ah Puch... tends to have... long delays...on every one of...his lines...
* EverybodyHatesHades: A notable reconstruction. Compared to Hades, Anubis, and Hel, [[DarkIsNotEvil who were actually pretty nice for afterlife gods]], or Thanatos, who was SadlyMythtaken into an all-hating reaper when he actually dealt with peaceful death, Ah Puch has always been [[DarkIsEvil a malevolent evil god of the Underworld]] that Mayans avoided and hated for good reasons, since times old.
* EvilOverlord: Mage-ish overlord, but still counts. Ah Puch treats his corpses as his own personal minions with lines like "Die for your master!!", and treats his allies similarly.
* TheFairFolk: His Shadow Spirit skin has shades of this, often talking about dancing and how he wants to have fun. Most notably, one of his jokes has him offering to have a dance-off with the child of the person he's talking to as the prize.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Death-related deities released after him even find him unpleasant. Izanami is disgusted at him despite being a malevolent human-hating deity, Camazotz considers him a disgrace to Xibalba (the Mayan underworld) overall, and Cliodhna is outraged by the way he delights in the suffering of the dead.
* GodOfEvil: Much like Apep from Myth/EgyptianMythology, people don't pray to Ah Puch, instead doing things to make sure Ah Puch doesn't claim the (soon-to-be) dead to be tortured. His profile makes no excuse that he's described as true evil.
* TheGreys: The Galactic Invader skin looks like a classic gray alien.
* LeanAndMean: Au Puch may be the skinniest god in the game.
* LizardFolk: His Saurian Conjurer skin is a half-lizard, half-human.
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming: As noted in his profile, screaming in terror and/or pain is the only way to ward off Ah Puch when he's out roaming at night because he believes his minions are having their way with you, and that pleases him enough.
* MageKiller: Ah Puch specializes in dealing with healers, most of whom are magical.
* MalevolentMaskedMan: He wears a ceremonial mask that appears to be made of bone.
* {{Necromancer}}: His kit is about summoning corpses, either to heal himself or to explode against his enemies.
* '''ObviouslyEvil''': As one of the evilest gods in the game, Ah Puch looks and acts completely horrible.
* OminousOwl: His armpieces greatly resemble owls, and he's accompanied by the shrieks of owls when he searches for humans to drag into his realm.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: The only part of his face that is visible under his mask.
* SorcerousOverlord: He lacks the WizardClassic look, but he's still a dangerous Mage god.
* TakingTheBullet: The wraiths summoned by Ah Puch's ultimate cannot pierce through targets. One possible counterplay is to shield wounded or weaker allies with one's own body.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Ah Puch's chest is completely bare, but his grotesque appearance means he's not exactly played for fanservice.
* WeHaveReserves: He tosses his corpses to the battlefield and blows them up liberally because he's already got plenty of corpses he can use from the underworld below, so who cares if a few get blown up?

[[folder:Ix Chel, The Light Weaver]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ixchel_smite.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:"Do not assume my rainbows to be made of kindness. They are a bridge, made to carry you to your destruction."]]
-> '''Voiced by:''' Pilar Uribe

The Mayan goddess of fertility, femininity, and medicine, Ix Chel's primary role in mythology revolves around caring for mortals with the struggles of illness and childbirth. Alongside this, Ix Chel also has domain over the rainbows coating the sky following periods of rain, with some going as far as to detail her as a god of rain itself. Regardless of her role, her chance to shine came at a low point in humanity's existence, plagued by the monsters invoked by Surtr and Martichoras. With the needs of mankind calling for illumination, Ix Chel has made her formal debut to the divine battleground in order to begin her own age: the Age of Hope.

Ix Chel is a Mage goddess, a bringer of hope who can use the power of light to damage and heal in equal measure.
* Her passive is ''Rainbow Weaver''. Ix Chel gains one of six colors of the rainbow each time she damages an enemy god or buffs an ally, as well as instantly gaining all six when casting ''Great End''. After collecting the full spectrum, her next basic attack is empowered, gaining increased size and damage. Ix Chel also benefits from Haste when using this boosted basic attack.
* Her first ability is ''Gleaming Blast'', which fires a blast of light that damages and pierces minions and stops on the first god hit. The ability deals increased damage to minions and jungle camps. If she hits an enemy, this ability is changed to ''Threads Of Light'', which fires a triangle shaped barrage of light strands. After a short period, the beams illuminate, damaging enemies and blinding anyone looking at the strands. Anyone at the tip of the triangle takes increased damage. Afterwards, the ability turns back into ''Gleaming Blast'', which will be on cooldown.
* Her second ability is ''Lunar Invocation'' which summons a circle of lunar energy that damages and knocks up enemies in the area while healing allies.
* Her third ability is ''Rainbow Crash'', which sends out a ball of rainbow energy that damages and roots enemies in a small area, which will split into 6 colored balls of light that bounce around the battlefield. Allies (including herself) can pick up the balls for a movement speed increase, and Ix Chel receives a speed boost when casting ''Rainbow Crash'' that can stack with the speed increase from a ball.
* Her ultimate is ''Great End'', which has her channel a beam of rainbow energy over a few seconds, being CC immune during the duration. The beam rapidly damages enemies and heals allies during the duration. The damage dealt steadily increases if Ix Chel can keep the enemy in her beam, returning to normal if they stop getting hit, up to a 100% increase. Meanwhile, healing allies will also heal Ix Chel. If Ix Chel can heal an ally and damage an enemy at the same time, the ability's duration increases, up to double its normal length.

----
* BigBeautifulWoman: Is the second goddess with a plus-sized figure to be added and is by far the heftier of the two. Everything about her design also conveys a gentle and elegant charm fit for a healing Goddess.
* BigDamnHeroes: She arrives in ''Smite'' to help the gods fight against the rampage of Surtr and Martichoras, bringing healing and hope in the process.
* TheBusCameBack: She is the first Maya god to be added since Camazotz in 2016, ending a 7-year drought of Maya deities.
* GoodIsNotNice: Alongside Kukulkan, she is one of the most benevolent Mayan gods. As benign as she is though, she also extremely fierce and her voicelines emphasize her aggression in fighting evil.
* RainbowMotif: Among many other things, Ix Chel is strongly associated with the rainbow. In ''Smite'' she wears a rainbow-colored feather headdress, her staff bears stones that represent [[RainbowLite six]] of the seven rainbow colors, and most of her abilities utilize the rainbow in some way.

The feathered serpent Kukulkan flies on the high winds of the Mayan lands. He embodies the danger and beauty of a double-edged sword, he's awesome and terrible to behold and majestic yet sinister. There are many names that Kukulkan bore and he was worshipped with reverence born out of fear.

As the lord of death and rebirth, the Mayan people made sacrifices to appease Kukulkan with great pyramids bearing his serpentine likeness made to be architecturally perfect to catch the light and bring the slithering stone statues within to life.

For these sacrifices, Kukulkan gave a lot of gifts to the world. He brought the four elements, but he kept charge of the wind. He also brought the Mayan calendar, the stone disk that counts a distant future, but to stop abruptly later and signifies [[MayanDoomsday a horrifying finality]]. And lastly, a legacy of power of domination to battle.

Sacrifices for him were measured in blood, but mortal blood lately has felt rather weak. For the ultimate appeasement, Kukulkan would like to try the blood of Gods sacrificed for him.

Introduced in September 2014, Kukulkan replaced the retired Ao Kuang, inheriting his powers.

Kukulkan is a fragile Mage god with decent mobility and very limited crowd control, but also one of the biggest damage potentials of any Mage in the game.

* Kukulkan's passive, ''Power of the Wind Jewel'', transforms a percentage of his maximum mana into bonus magical power.
* With his first ability, ''Zephyr'', Kukulkan breathes a projectile of wind in a line forward that explodes upon colliding with an enemy, damaging them and slowing all surrounding foes.
* With his second ability, ''Slipstream'', Kukulkan channels the wind to grant himself a decaying movement speed increase for a few seconds, cleansing slows on use and becoming immune to slows throughout the duration.
* His third ability, ''Whirlwind'', summons a mighty cyclone at a nearby area. Any enemies that enter that area will have a smaller tornado attach to them, damaging them over time for a brief duration.
* With his ultimate ability, ''Spirit of the Nine Winds'', Kukulkan summons a fallen spirit and sends it flying in a line in front of him, breathing out a powerful storm that heavily damages and knocks aside all enemies it contacts with.
----
* BlowYouAway: Like Ao Kuang's old kit, he uses tornadoes and zephyrs to destroy his enemies.
* CompositeCharacter: Lore-wise, Smite's rendition of Kukulkan appears to borrow elements from Aztec and Mixtec cosmology.
* CreepyGood: He talks about sacrifices in his name, talks in a sly, hissing voice and has a threatening appearance. Despite this, Kukulkan is one of the most important deities in the Mayan pantheon, and is ultimately a force of good.
* CyberneticMythicalBeast: His Tornado Tech and Bone Wraith skins are clearly mechanical while keeping the feathered serpent shape.
* {{Expy}}:
** Like how the Roman and Greek gods are only separated by name, he's the Mayans' (lesser known) version of the Aztec Quetzalcoatl, who is represented by Kukulkan's "Quetzakukulkan" skin. Gameplay-wise, he's an expy of Ao Kuang, whom he replaced.
** His Kuku skin, only available during the Odyssey 2016 event, is an expy of [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Rayquaza.]]
* GoodIsNotNice: A benevolent leader and protector of humanity who also has a huge ego and sadistic side. His victory animation has him blowing poor Denton around in a tornado while snickering, and he calls Sobek a "pathetic excuse for a reptile" when he kills him.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Almost to the point of [[BreakingTheFourthWall smashing it entirely]] in one of his joke emotes:
--> '' (worriedly) "I can't meet my[[{{Sssssnaketalk}} sssself,]] or it's 'Game Over'"''
** One has to wonder where he picked up the expression "game over", or why he would worry about another ''him'' on the other team...
*** {{Fridge Brilliance}} comes to play if one remembers the classic game Snake.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: He's a feathered snake with four eagle wings for arms.
** FeatheredSerpent: He's the TropeCodifier along with the Aztec's Quetzalcoatl, who is also featured as his "Quetzakukulkan" skin.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Well, if you're on his bad side, at least.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: Played with; he demands blood sacrifices and, if his win screen is any indication, has a bit of a mean sense of humor, but he's also a creator god and looks after the world. It's less that he's evil and more that, like many Mesoamerican gods, [[BlueAndOrangeMorality he works on a different scale of morality.]]
* SadlyMythtaken: He talks a lot about sacrifice here, but there's no evidence Kukulkan took human sacrifices, and his Aztec equivalent Quetzalcoatl didn't take them at all.
* ShoutOut: His "Kuku" skin is based off [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Rayquaza and Flygon.]]
** [[VideoGame/{{Snake}} "I can't run into myself or it's game over."]]
* {{Sssssnaketalk}}: Exploited; Kukulkan's jokes and taunts are lined with way more S's than are needed just so he can hiss a lot.
* TopGod: Of the Mayan Pantheon
* VolleyingInsults: He appears to be doing this with his fellow serpent Nu Wa, both mocking parts of the other's serpentine anatomy in directed taunts.

The Queen of the Night, the Moon Goddess Awilix, has continued to watch over the world and listen to birds and beasts that used the darkness to hunt and revel.\

People often said that the sun is her lover, she couldn't shine without him. But those who said so never beheld her, since an unrestrained sun causes a lot of damage to man and land alike. Moonlight isn't like that, it instead blankets the night and illuminates the world mystically. It never brought ruin or calamity. Those are Awilix's traits, she doesn't need others to shine with her mysterious radiance.\

The night these days is less welcoming. With the Gods warring with each other, the radiance of moonlight is threatened. For that, Awilix takes her feline companion to battle, to ensure that the night belongs to her.\

Awilix is an Assassin goddess with high movement speed and damage.

* Her passive, ''Initiative'', increases her Power when out of combat. If she enters combat by hitting an enemy first, she will benefit from this increase for several seconds. Inversely, she will immediately lose this buff if an enemy strikes first. Additionally, her melee attacks have slightly longer reach but a narrower targeting cone.
* Using her first ability, ''Summon Suku'', Awilix mounts her trusty panther steed Suku, increasing her movement speed but greatly slowing down her strafe speed. She may cancel the ability to dismount (which does not put the ability on cooldown) or leap off a considerable distance, dealing damage to all enemies in the target area.
* Her second ability, ''Feather Step'', can only be used shortly after landing a basic attack. Using it, Awilix leaps over the struck enemy, attacking with her spear. The damage of this ability is determined by which attack is next in her progression; if it is the third attack, the damage is dealt in an area. While the attack is in progress, her target is Rooted and Crippled.
* Awilix's third ability, ''Moonlight Charge'', summons and sends forward Suku to dash through enemies in a line, damaging them. Enemies hit from the side or behind are knocked up.
* Awilix's ultimate, ''Gravity Surge'', briefly increases her attack speed and power and grants immunity to Roots, Slows, and Knockbacks. In addition, if an enemy god within considerable range is airborne from either leaping or knockup, they are instead pulled to Awilix's location, taking considerable damage.\

Awilix's alternate skins include Blood Moon Awilix, Renegade Awilix, Paradigm Awilix, Feline Fashion Awilix, Midnight Dove Awilix, and Royal Champion Awilix.
----
* AnthropomorphicPersonification: Of the moon.
* ApologeticAttacker: When on a killing spree:
-->"Sorry! Sorry again!"
* {{Combo}}: Get behind them with ''Feather Step'', knock them up with ''Moonlight Charge'', slam them down with ''Gravity Surge''.
* DarkIsNotEvil: The second one in the Mayan Pantheon, after Xbalanque (who is her incarnation).
* DifficultButAwesome: She's very fragile, and using ''Moonlight Charge'' and ''Gravity Surge'' reliably takes practice or luck, but ''Feather Step'' is one of the hardest-hitting abilities in the game, and catching someone out of a leap with ''Gravity Surge'' pretty much ensures their death (since for most gods, their leap is the only escape they have).\
To clarify, she's considered DifficultButAwesome in a game where even basic attacks are skillshots. Namely, three of her four active abilities require much more timing and accuracy than usual. ''Feather Step'' requires you to pay attention to both whom you're basic-attacking and where in that progression you're at for maximum effect. ''Moonlight Charge'' would've been like any other projectile ability if not the fact that you have to consider not only enemies' movement, but their ''direction'' as well. Finally, ''Gravity Surge'' is designed to catch opponents midair, be they thrown up or jumped voluntarily, which means you have literally a split-second to react or the ability is wasted. The fact that her skills revolve around unique gameplay features (attack progression and interacting with jumping targets) that no other MOBA (or ''god'', for that matter) uses makes Awilix even more counter-intuitive and hard to understand and learn. When mastered, though, with her mobility, crowd control, and damage output, she becomes NightmareFuel for any hostile team, appearing literally from nowhere, destroying you with no chance to escape, and then disappearing into the jungle to repeat the process with another fella at the other side of map.
* FoeTossingCharge: ''Moonlight Charge'' basically has Suku do this, '''but''' only on enemies that get from it InTheBack. Otherwise, he'll just be passing through enemies while damaging them.
* GenkiGirl: She's cheery and full of energy, nearing the same level as Neith.
* GravityMaster: Ties in with her moon theme. Her Ultimate, ''Gravity Surge'', allows her to pull an enemy down from the air and slam them onto the ground, stunning them.
* InTheBack: Encouraged by ''Moonlight Charge'', as it will throw enemies hit up into the air if it hits Gods from behind. Additionally, her passive grants her some bonus power if she attacks an enemy while out-of-combat, which is certainly easier to pull off when an enemy isn't looking at her.
* HorseOfADifferentColor: Rides bareback on a black jaguar.
* LeotardOfPower: Worn by her Wave Rider skin.
* {{Lunacy}}: It's not the hugest motif to her, but her ultimate notably has its buff duration indicated via a moon under her feet being progressively covered by an eclipse.
* MsFanservice: One of the least covered goddesses in the game, she only wears a short skirt and very skimpy bra, bares her legs, midriff and cleavage, and goes around barefoot.
* NonHumanSidekick: Her panther, Suku.
* PrefersGoingBarefoot: One of the few gods to go around barefoot, and even fewer to actually ''walk'' doing so.
-->''[[https://d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/smite_gamepedia/2/2e/Awilix_Joke_1.ogg I love the feeling of sand between my toes! Why would anyone wear shoes?]]''
* PungeonMaster: Feline Fashion Awilix is purr-fect if you like cat puns.
* RobotBuddy: In her Renegade skin, Suku becomes a robot named KATT.
* SheFu: Awilix's main source of damage is Feather Step, which is really just her flipping over your head.

* TheSmurfettePrinciple: For a whooping ''9'' years, Awilix held the title of being the sole goddess in the Mayan Pantheon. 2023 saw her finally averting the trope with the arrival of Ix Chel.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Seeing that Mayan people were more or less located in the woods, her design seems to be a revealing version of a JunglePrincess.
* TwoAliasesOneCharacter: She and Xbalanque are the same deity, Xbalanque being her incarnation.
* UnusualEuphemism: To do with her cheery personality, her line for "Curses!" is instead [[https://d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/smite_gamepedia/a/ae/Awilix_Other_G_S.ogg "Ah, Moonbeams!"]]

The Bat God Camazotz is a ravenous beings that lurked the Mayan Underworld Xibalba. Beasts, mortals or Gods matter not to him, all of them are considered food for him, and he waited there for anyone foolish enough to enter his lair, and he would devour them and drink on their blood to sate the unquenchable thrum in his veins.

Once, the Hero Twins Xbalanque and Hun-Apuh ventured to Xibalba and came across his lair. Surrounded with screeching bats with frenzied glee, they were forced to cower and hide in a small spot and only waited for dawn to light their way out. Camazotz only waited and just as Hun-Apuh popped his head to check for the light, Camazotz swept in a flash and decapitated Hun-Apuh, presenting his head to other underworld Gods as a trophy. Little did Camazotz know that his victory was undone when Xbalanque created a new head for Hun-Apuh and then they escaped.

And as the night rises in the battle amongst Gods, Camazotz still patiently waits until there is a perfect time to sweep away and drink on a God's blood...

Camazotz is an Assassin god designed to strike in and keep himself alive through lifesteal.

* His passive, ''Essence Drinker'', gives him Vampirism, a passive bonus in lifesteal and healing. In addition, whenever a god dies they leave in their place a pool of essence that Camazotz can drink by standing in it. Each drink replenishes health and mana, and he drinks faster when out of combat.
* His first ability, ''Screech'', launches a sound wave that pierces through minions, dealing damage. If the sound wave hits an enemy god it creates three ricocheting echoes that can hit Camazotz, granting him vision of the god and bonus physical power.
* His second ability, ''Vampire Bats'', sends a swarm of bats that damages and slows a single target before returning and healing him. If the target is a jungle buff monster they will be marked, granting a long-lasting Vampirism stack. However, he cannot gain a stack from a buff monster that has already been marked.
* His third ability, ''Devour'', is a short damaging leap that heals him per enemy hit.
* His ultimate ability, ''Bat Out of Hell'', allows him to fly in the air, becoming damage and CC immune for three seconds. During that period, he can swoop forward up to three times, dealing damage. If he hits more than one enemy god in a single swoop, then he will deal increased damage per god hit.
----
* AchillesHeel: All of the lifesteal he has just makes him that much more hurt by anti-healing items.
* AnimalMecha: The Vamp Tech skin makes Camazotz a mechanical vampire bat.
* BatOutOfHell: Of course. It's even the name of his ultimate.
* BatPeople: Downplayed, but Camazotz is a massive vampire bat with distinct hands on his wings.
* BirdPeople: His The Eagle's Elbow skin has a muscular man's arms, legs, and torso, and a bald eagle's head, talons, and wings.
* HeroKiller: Camazotz is the first to deal a major blow to the Hero Twins, killing Hun-Apuh. While his victory was undone by Xbalanque creating a new head for his brother, it says something when most of their other foes fall to their GuileHero actions.
* LifeDrain: Has lots of it, giving him high sustain.
* MirrorMatch: While the game has always allowed multiple people to play the same god, Camazotz is the first god where that actually becomes a ''problem''. Because of the way his passive works, multiple Camazotzes are forced to share both the essence pools and the buff monsters (a Camazotz cannot get a Vampirism stack from a marked monster, ''[[ExactWords even if it was marked by another Camazotz]]''), forcing them to compete for normally-exclusive resources.
* OurGargoylesRock: His Stone Sentinel skin is meant to be a gargoyle.
* ShoutOut: Hi-Rez certainly couldn't resist throwing in a Franchise/{{Batman}} reference for one of his jokes:
-->''[[Film/TheDarkKnight I'm not the assassin you deserve. I'm the assassin you need.]]''
* TheSpeechless: Camazotz's Jurassic and Terror-Dactyl skins do not speak. Instead, they communicate with screeches, hisses, and clicks.
* TerrorDactyl: His Terror-Dactyl and Jurassic skins turn Camazotz from a bat to a pterosaur.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: All his The Eagle's Elbow has on his chest is a necklace.

Hun Batz and his twin brother Hun Chouen lived contently with their grandmother. Both of them were talented and great artists and musicians, but they lacked the talent of their father on the ball game Pitz. Said father one day were summoned to the underworld and never returned, but in his place were the Hun siblings' half-brothers, the Hero Twins Xbalanque and Hun-Apuh. These two were everything the Hun twins weren't, they're strong, athletic, clever and most importantly, very gifted at playing Pitz.

The two set of twins formed a jealous rivalry, Hun Batz and his brother couldn't defeat the Hero Twins in Pitz unless they cheated or used foul tricks. Frustrated with this, the Hero Twins then kicked the ball to the tree, since they know Hun Batz and his brother were excellent climbers. However, the tree was magically enchanted, the more Hun Batz climbed, the taller the tree grew. Eventually, the Hero Twins encouraged Hun Batz and Hun Chouen to use their belts like tails to escape the height. On that moment, they suddenly turned into monkeys as their final humiliations.

Afterwards, they became known as the Monkey Twins, and their talents in music and arts were honed further as they became respected Gods of Art and Music. However, Hun Batz was still bitter at the humiliation he suffered by the Hero Twins and he wanted revenge. With the Gods battling across the world, he saw this as a chance to strike back at at least Xbalanque to settle his grudge. Time has sharpened his cunning more, the next time they fight, the result will be different than the last time.

In June 2013, Hun Batz replaced Sun Wukong, and currently uses a modified version of the latter's pre-rework moveset.

Hun Batz is an Assassin god with great chasing abilities, possessing area damage and control that other Assassins don't typically have.

* His passive, ''Infused Strikes'', greatly increases the damage of his next basic attack shortly after he uses any of his abilities.
* Hun Batz's first ability, ''Somersault'', makes him leap through the air and crash down onto enemies in the target area, dealing damage and slowing them for two seconds.
* His second ability, ''Overhand Smash'', strikes a sizable cone area in front of him with his staff after a considerable delay, dealing just as considerable damage. He is immune to knockups and backpedaling/strafing movement penalties during the casting time.
* His third ability, ''Sacred Monkey'', throws a monkey in a line in front of him. The monkey deals damage to the first target it hits, then jumps onto up to four more targets, but will not hit a god more than once. Hun Batz can activate the ability again to be teleported onto the next target the monkey hits.
* His ultimate ability, ''Fear No Evil'', summons a large, dreadful totem at the target location, lasting up to two seconds. Any enemy caught in the sizable area around the totem takes damage and is forced to flee away from it every quarter-second.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: In the original myth, after being turned into monkeys, Hun Batz and his brother usually became humbled and no longer stirred trouble, going on to become respected Gods of Arts and Music. Here, however, he's still resentful at what Xbalanque did and wants nothing but revenge.
* {{Expy}}: of pre-rework Sun Wukong
* FlashStep: Capable of performing one if his third ability hits an enemy god. Very effective as a gap closer, and often quite jarring for the enemy, because it has absolutely no animation or visual effects whatsoever; just over there one second, right beside you the next.
* ForcedTransformation: How he became a Howler Monkey.
* IceCreamKoan: He keeps spouting these both as jokes and taunts.
--> ''It is not wise to put a basket over your head as you are being eaten by a dog.''
--> ''Do not point at a rainbow, or your finger will rot.''
--> ''Do not remove the first layer of the tortilla, or pimples will grow on your face.''
** With the exception of "One finger cannot remove lice from the head" (which is a Nigerian proverb) all of his taunts and jokes [[ShownTheirWork are actual Mayan proverbs.]] Some of the rest make even less sense than others.
* ManiacMonkeys: Both his visuals and animations are remarkably more threatening than Wukong's before his remake. Not to mention his grudge towards the Hero Twins.
* MartialArtsStaff: His Shaolin Monk-ey skin wields a quarterstaff.
* MayanDoomsday: His death quotes had him ramble about TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt prophesized by the trope, because he's a Mayan deity.
* PrimalStance: Perpetually hunched over, also using one of his arms to walk.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Fitting for a cruel trickster like him.
* SiblingRivalry: He was never on good terms with Xbalanque, but it became far worse when he got turned into a Howler Monkey.

Ah Muzen Cab is the worshipped God amongst bees, devoid of past. Whether it is because he stole the past from another being or for other reasons, nobody knows. History is WrittenByTheWinners, but sometimes, the winner said nothing.\

In the past, the sky was propped above the land by the four Bacab. They were honored by the Mudmen below for doing the task without complaints, but they were nothing more than prisoners shackled by duty. When a great flood consumed the earth, the Bacab fled and the sky crashed to the rising sea. They were never seen again, vanishing in the storm that raged afterwards.\

Once the storm calmed down, a Bacab stepped in to hold the sky. The land re-emerged, producing mankind and even Gods, patrons of the sustaining of life. One of the beings that were revered for this were bees, the creators of honey. Out of nowhere, Ah Muzen Cab arrived to take command of the bees as their God.\

The greatest war between heaven and earth has erupted. When the dust has settled, one could only wonder who will emerge as the victor to write the history. There are rumors that Ah Muzen Cab might be one of the surviving Bacab, that he has seen the end of the world and become a God because of it. If the world is remade after this, what power will he seize?\

Ah Muzen Cab is a Hunter god with high attack speed and strong (for a Hunter) area-of-effect attacks, but is mana-hungry and weak if caught away from his hives.

* His passive, ''Bees!'', makes bees attack the targets of his damaging abilities, revealing and damaging them for a few seconds. Additionally, the bees will spread to unaffected enemies near their target. Ah Muzen Cab's basic attacks can extend the duration of ''Bees!'' with his basic attacks, with no limit on the maximum duration.
* His first ability, ''Hive'', allows Ah Muzen Cab to spawn a beehive at a location in a nearby area (up to fevel total) that remain there until they are destroyed. While he's close to a beehive, Ah Muzen Cab gains a bonus to his movement speed, attack speed, and [=HP5=]. Hives can be destroyed with a single basic attack. Hives will also reveal enemies within a short radius of them and when they are destroyed.
* His second ability, ''Swarm'', summons a large swarm of bees that fly forward, damaging all enemies in a line in front of Ah Muzen Cab.
* With his third ability, ''Honey'', Ah Muzen Cab fires sticky honey at a target location, slowing all enemies inside that area. Additionally, if any beehive is close to that location, or if a ''Swarm'' passes over the patch, bees will swarm to protect the honey, damaging all enemies inside it over time.
* With his ultimate ability, ''Stinger'', Ah Muzen Cab fires a large stinger that damages and sticks to the first god it hits in a line, Crippling them and reducing their movement speed and protections. After a brief delay, or if the target dies, the stinger falls to the ground for a few seconds, during which Ah Muzen Cab can pick it up to greatly reduce the cooldown of the ability.\

Ah Muzen Cab's alternate skins include Sting Ah Muzen Cab, Dark Whisperer Ah Muzen Cab, Killer Bee Ah Muzen Cab, Swarm Sentry Ah Muzen Cab, Void Piercer Ah Muzen Cab, Solid Hornet Ah Muzen Cab, and Itty Bitty ChiBee Agni.
----
* AchillesHeel: Aside from the benefits from ''Hive'', Ah Muzen Cab has no dashes, jumps, or other mobility mechanics whatsoever, and his powerful wave clear often tempts him to overextend himself beyond the reach of his hives. This makes it very easy to gank him if he hasn't gotten ahead.
* BadassBoast: He gets a pretty good one if defeated, asserting his immortality.
--> '''Ah Muzen Cab:''' [[WeWillMeetAgain Honey never spoils.]]
* BeeAfraid: And they don't get any better when the god of them is around.
* BeeBeeGun: His ''Swarm'' ability shoots a large swarm of bees against enemies, dealing direct damage and a couple of bees that deals damage over time. His passive is even called ''Bees!''. Yes, with the exclamation mark.
* {{Cthulhumanoid}}: His Dark Whisperer skin has facial tentacles.
* FallenAngel: His Dark Angel skin has this aesthetic.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: His ultimate, ''Stinger'', shoots a massive stinger that impales an enemy, dealing massive damage. And even better, three seconds later or when the target dies, the ''Stinger'' falls out and Ah Muzen Cab can use it again in about ten seconds!
* TheMothman: He has a Mothman skin, which turns him into one.
* MysteriousPast: Literally described as "clad in mystery".
* ShootTheMedicFirst: He's ''significantly'' easier to deal with when he doesn't have a nearby hive healing him and buffing him into the stratosphere.
* ShoutOut:
** In his defeat animation, where his own bees turns against him and sting him like crazy, he takes a page from Creator/NicolasCage.
-->'''Ah Muzen Cab:''' [[Film/TheWickerMan2006 NO, NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEEEES! AARRGH!! MY EYES!!]]
** "[[Theatre/{{Hamlet}} To bee or not to bee!]] You don't get a choice!"
** "[[UsefulNotes/MuhammadAli Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.]]"
** When he is wounded: "[[Franchise/PowerRangers Ay yi yi, that was close!]]"
** The Dark Whisperer Ah Muzen Cab skin basically turns him into Franchise/{{Cthulhu|Mythos}}. This was made before Hi-Rez had the idea to put Cthulhu himself into the roster.
** The Solid Hornet Ah Muzen Cab skin basically turns him into a hammier version of [[VideoGame/MetalGearSolid Psycho Mantis]].
** "You get bees, and you get bees, [[Series/TheOprahWinfreyShow everyone gets the bees]]!"
* SouthpawAdvantage: Ah Muzen Cab is one of the few left-handed gods in the game, and his weapon isn't drawn and fired from across his center of mass like most of the bow-using hunters. This can be an [[DamnYouMuscleMemory unexpected but critical advantage]] at high levels of play, because dodging his basic attacks is ''slightly'' different from dodging other Hunter gods.
* StickySituation: His ''Honey'' ability inflicts this on the enemy team. Not only is it one of the few "paint the ground" techniques in Smite, it can ''also'' deal damage if bees are swarming over it.
* TheUnintelligible: All of his jokes in the Dark Whisperer skin are in [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos R'lyehian]], along with a fair bit of his other dialogue and certain VGS commands. Might be a BilingualBonus in there if you can figure out what in the world he's saying through the heavy distortion on the voice.
* TimeAbyss: He is rumored to have survived a distant apocalypse, back before the new world was created. Who knows how much else he has seen.
* WingedHumanoid: He's a god of bees, so naturally he has a pair of insect whitewings.
* YourMom: He pollinated her. Well, that's his joke.

Xbalanque was one of the Hero Twins along with his brother Hun-Apuh, and also rumored to be an reincarnation of the Moon Goddess Awilix. Their father was murdered by one of the chiefs of Xibalba and they were destined to take vengeance. But beforehand, they had to master the arts of hunting with blowguns and playing the violent ball game Pitz.

To test their strength, they decided to take down the bird demon, the Seven Macaw, who declared himself the Sun and the Moon, replacing his teeth with glistening jewels.

The Hero Twins' blowguns only knocked out the Seven Macaw's glittering teeth, and he retaliated by tearing Hun-Apuh's arm. Taking advice from an elderly couple, the twins then posed as dentists for the Seven Macaw who sought to ease the pain in his mouth. The twins then replaced the shiny teeth with white corns. When the Seven Macaw realized what happened, he was so humiliated he died out of despair and shame.

After many more trials, the Hero Twins fulfilled their destiny and avenged their fathers by defeating the Lords of the Underworld. They ascended to heaven, while Hun-Apuh became the Sun, Xbalanque is immortalized as the Moon, just like his predecessor.

Xbalanque is a Hunter god who can easily snowball into a powerhouse once he's gotten his first few kills.

* His passive, ''Dead of the Night'', permanently increases Xbalanque's power as he deals damage to enemy gods, stacking up to six times.
* His first ability, ''Branching Bola'', is a toggled ability that increases the power of his basic attacks at the cost of a small amount of mana per throw. In addition, every time the empowered attack hits, it will spawn two weaker bolas that can hit targets behind the first one.
* Using his second ability, ''Poison Darts'', Xbalanque fires a spread of fifteen darts in a cone in front of him. Enemies hit take damage, and are further damaged and slowed by the poison. An enemy can be hit with up to five darts, each additional one hitting for reduced damage.
* His third ability, ''Rising Jaguar'', makes Xbalanque dash forward then leap into the air, shooting darts at nearby enemies. All targets in the area take damage, more if they are suffering from poison. While firing darts, Xbalanque is immune to crowd control
* Xbalanque's ultimate ability, ''Darkest of Nights'', surrounds all enemy gods (regardless of range) with a veil of darkness, greatly reducing their vision range for three seconds. In addition, Xbalanque's movement speed, attack speed, and attack range are increased for the duration.
----
* BattleBolas: Uses bolas as his weapon of choice: appropriate for a god of the hunt.
* BlowGun: Carries a rather large and ornate one on his back, which he isn't afraid to shoot poisoned darts from.
* BadLiar:
--> "No, this isn't poison on my darts! This is...incense! Yeah! Sandalwood!"
* CastingAShadow: His ultimate is an interesting example.
* ChewingTheScenery: "AAAARRGGHH!! I'M SUMMONING THE APOCALYPSE!!" He's kidding, but on that part, he chews on an epic proportion of ham.
* {{Combo}}: ''Rising Jaguar'' deals 20% more damage to targets affected by ''Poison Darts''
* DarkIsNotEvil: Yet another example.
* GuileHero: Not how he plays in-game, but his and Hunapuh's exploits in his lore are certainly worth mentioning. See Cabrakan's and Hun Batz's lores to know more.
* GodInHumanForm: He is Awilix's mortal incarnation.
* InterfaceScrew: His ultimate limits the entire enemy team's vision with a shroud of darkness.
* {{Lunacy}}: He is the moon god, after all.
* MayanDoomsday: Two of his jokes pokes fun at the famous doomsday theory.
--> "AAAAARRGGHH!! I'M SUMMONING THE APOCALYYYYPSE!! ... Hahahah! Nah, I'm kidding, I'm kidding! I don't have that power."
--> "12-21-12. Hahaha, You guys are so gullible."
** He was also literally released in the exact date of the trope.
* McNinja: The Shinobalanque skin turns him into a Mayan ninja.
* PoisonedWeapon: His aforementioned ''Poison Darts''.
* {{Reincarnation}}: He is Awilix's incarnation.
* SufferTheSlings: His bolas are a variety of this.
* TwoAliasesOneCharacter: He and Awilix are the same deity, he being Awilix's incarnation.
* UnexplainedAccent: Unlike other examples of this trope, he is the only one of the Mayan gods who doesn't speak with a South American accent, outside of one of his several football skins (European football, not American).
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He has a strap that ties his "jaguar face" to the shoulder. Other than that, he's completely shirtless.
