%% Please don't add any info that isn't from an official or verified source. Leaks not backed up by Serebii are usually fake.
%% Do not add NoSell to any character's section unless it has a narrative use in game.
%% Do not add DudeLooksLikeALady, as that only applies to in-universe only.
%% Names of Pokémon, abilities, moves, trainer classes, and items should be capitalized. Also, the singular and plural forms of every Pokémon species are the same. One Pikachu, two Pikachu.

A list of the Pokémon from the games ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon''. This sheet is for all the known Pokémon, and may contain spoilers. Clocking in at 88 as of ''VideoGame/PokemonLetsGoPikachuAndLetsGoEevee'', not counting the below-mentioned new variants of existing Pokémon, this Generation introduced the second smallest amount of new Pokémon after its immediate predecessor, and the first generation to introduce new Pokémon species after the first installments. Also noteworthy is that this is the overall slowest Generation, as many fully evolved Pokémon are {{Mighty Glacier}}s. Nearly every Pokémon introduced in Generation VII (either brand new or a new form) also have [[SecretArt Abilities or Moves that are unique to it]].

As ''Sun and Moon'' uses Hawaii as its greatest inspiration, most of the Pokémon introduced in this generation are based on species found in the tropics (either native to Hawaii itself or based on something found on other tropical islands or reefs).

As Gen VI did with Mega Evolutions, variations of Generation I Pokémon are found in Alola with different appearances, moves, abilities, and types are introduced in Gen VII. Information on variants are included under the Pokémon species, rather than here. Gen VII is also the first generation to add brand new species of Pokémon mid-generation: The initial number was 81, then five more species were added for ''VideoGame/PokemonUltraSunAndUltraMoon'' and two others were introduced in ''Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee'', bringing the total to 88.
