!In general:

!Felix Nordh:

Often seen as Monte Fjanton's face outward. Felix is the host of Felix Recenserar, a frequent taste tester in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet, and played the role of Kenneth Hyvel i Mystikhörnan. In addition he has made many guest appearances in the group Psykakuten's videos (as the members have been friends for a long time). He also makes music in his spare time, both under the moniker Weird Bananas and as himself.

* CausticCritic: played this straight in the beginning of Felix Recenserar, but has since reviewed a few films he legitimately enjoys (such as ''Jägarna'' and ''Bäst i Sverige'') even if they have flaws he believes are worth discussing.
* EveryoneHasStandards: He may be a CausticCritic, but he thinks some of the criticisms aimed at [[{{Julkalender}} Julkalendrar]] are in really bad faith. In the final episode of Jakten på Tidskristallen while summing up his thoughts on it, he addresses some of the major criticisms (such as it painting science as something only for nerds or how Max has asthma and is the weak one among the kids) and points out how stupid they are.
* ExtremeOmnivore: While all taste testers from Basses Rätt i Skafferiet qualify, Felix seems to be the most likely to enjoy some of Basse's cooking.
-->'''Felix:''' I know we like to joke about "haha, this might be a delicacy somewhere"... but this IS a delicacy... in my mouth!
* FatAndSkinny: The skinny to Basse's fat.
* FriendlessBackground: While it hasn't really been elaborated on, he did state in the review of Hip Hip Hora that he was never invited to parties during his time in school. When Felix went back to review that episode, he [[SelfDeprecation jokes that the reason why that was is because]] [[BlackComedy he would attempt suicide on the spot if he ever actually showed up to a party.]]
* IconicOutfit: His tacky shirts. Lampshaded when he goes back to review the first three episodes of Felix Recenserar, from the time before he settled for this look.
-->'''Felix:''' And speaking of the t-shirt: That was some fashion sense I had back then! No ugly shirt and no hairspray at all! Like, look at me then, and back to me now. This could've been like one of those fake ads you see everywhere on the internet!\
''[cue mockup ad comparing 2011 Felix with 2016 Felix]'' The fashion experts hate him, because he went from stiff nerd to fucking sex god with one simple trick! Click here to find out more! And also, you'll get viruses and stuff too, but... shh...
* KindHeartedCatLover: He has a rescue cat named Yzma, who shows up in their videos from time to time.
* MeanCharacterNiceActor: As to be expected by somebody with a Caustic Critic persona, Felix is notably nicer outside of Felix Recenserar.
%%* TheMovieBuff
* SirSwearsalot: He has talked about parents of viewers coming along to cons he's visited and asked if he could tone the swearing down.
* SuicideAsComedy: apart from the example under Friendless Background, he makes a fair amount of jokes involving shooting himself (or getting shot) in the head.

!Sebastian "Basse" Wilnerzon Thörn:

Basse is the host of Basses Rätt i Skafferiet and does a lot of the filming and editing for Monte Fjanton's videos. He also wrote the script for Mystikhörnan. Apart from that, he's also a huge fan of VideoGame/AgeOfEmpiresII and enjoys creating maps for it in his spare time (a few of which he has played with others on ''Midnatts-Let's Play'').

* AscendedFan: He has worked on official maps for ''Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition'' after being a big fan of [=AoE=] II for many years.
* BigFun: Invokes this in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet by putting on a big fake smile for every segment, and is also prone to cracking bad puns even out of his BRIS persona.
* FatAndSkinny: The fat to Felix' skinny.
* IconicOutfit: His white t-shirts, to the point where Felix has joked that if he ever showed up to a video with a white shirt Basse would kill him.
%%* LargeHam
* LethalChef: As the host of Basses Rätt i Skafferiet, where he'll gladly combine any ingredients that don't fit together at all.
* PungeonMaster: Out of all the core members, Basse is by far the most likely to make a pun at any given moment, and that's against some stiff competition.
-->'''Felix:''' If you're gonna have a romance in a movie like this, it has to be well established. Or, in this case, whale established![[note]]This line came from the script for the review of Samson & Sally, a movie about two whales.[[/note]] Geddit?[[note]]Felix pronounces this with a soft G which makes it sound similar to the Swedish word for pike-fish.[[/note]] Oh god, fucking shoot me. ''[starts laughing]''\
'''Basse:''' This is what happens when I write the script!\
'''Felix:''' Exactly. We end up with puns everywhere!
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: If his BRIS persona is to be believed, he's very fond of spirit vinegar and mustard powder...
* YoungerThanTheyLook: He's born the same year as Felix ('92), but looks years older. The fact that he acts like a middle aged cooking show host in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet doesn't help matters.

!Johan "Johnny Stål" Nilsson:

Johan is one of the taste testers in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet, who also plays the role of Morgan Månstråle in Mystikhörnan. Like Felix, he makes music in his spare time.

* IconicItem: His braces and glasses.
* TokenMinority: Played for laughs; while all the members are from Scania, he plays up being far more stereotypically Scanian than the others (the Token Scanian also being a Swedish trope that Felix discusses in his reviews from time to time).

!Marcus "Macke" Wilnerzon Thörn:

Macke is Basse's brother, who plays the role of Leffe in Mystikhörnan and sometimes appears as a taste tester in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet. However, he spends most of his time "[[NoodleIncident being eaten by wolves]]".

* ExtremeOmnivore: On top of being a taste tester in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet, he's joked about being addicted to eating troll dough[[note]]A Swedish arts-and-crafts clay made out of salt, flour and water[[/note]].
* LargeHam: Downplayed; while most of the videos show his calmer moments, the bonus material from ''Mystikhörnan'' show that he'll occasionally yell loud enough for the camera's audio to clip for little to no reason on set.
* ManChild: Discussed in Basses Rätt i Skafferiet.
-->'''Johan:''' You know Macke, I've been thinking. You're 22 years old and you eat troll dough and can't use knives properly...\
'''Macke:''' I'm 23!\
'''Johan:''' My point exactly! Maybe it's time to grow up-\
'''Macke:''' Get your facts straight!\
'''Johan:''' Nicely played there, Macke. You were so close to getting burnt there, but you retaliated.
* ManOfAThousandVoices: as demonstrated in ''Mystikhörnan'' + bonus material, his repertoir ranges from old grandma to Satan.
* NoodleIncident: Being "eaten by wolves".
* OnlySaneMan: Compared to the other members, he has far less quirks. Accentuated further by the fact that he has the role of Leffe in Mystikhörnan.
* PutOnABus: He had long periods of absence during 2014 and 2015. It's never been elaborated on why further than that he's "being eaten by wolves".

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mystikhörnan characters]]

!In general:
* ComicTrio: The three protagonists follow this dynamic, with Morgan as the leader, Kenneth as his loyal but spineless assistant, and Leffe spending most of his time stuck with them criticising their lack of logic.

!Morgan Månstråle:

A roughly middle-aged man who wholeheartedly believes in the occult and wants to spread his "knowledge" to others.

* AlliterativeName: Both in the original language and the English subtitles, where his last name is translated to Moonbeam.
* [[spoiler:BackFromTheDead: He gets murdered in the season 1 finale, but his soul later appears in a box. He gets returned to his body halfway through season 2.]]
* ConspiracyTheorist: Exaggerated. Occasionally he will have two theories about the same topic that contradict each other, and when his viewers ask him absurd questions, he will manage to twist their theories even further. (One viewer asks if the atmosphere is actually made of creme fraiche; Morgan responds that it used to be, but the only pieces left are the stars in the sky.)
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: A staunch believer of conspiracy theories that wears really tacky and outdated clothing along with a PornStache, can't handle technology well, and has NoSocialSkills.
* DubNameChange: His last name is changed in the subtitles due to its LukeNounverber format. However, nearly everyone calls him by his (unchanged) first name anyway so this rarely comes into play.
* GoodIsNotNice: Seems to believe in this; he claims to be on the side of good and genuinely does try to help planet Earth in his own way, but does not treat his friends well at all.
* {{Jerkass}}: Regularly tells his landlord to shut the hell up and responds to his best friend's relationship troubles with "some days, huh?" before telling him to move on and keep hunting the Illuminati.
* [[spoiler:MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Late in season 2, he's revealed to be a reptilian who doesn't agree with other reptilians' violent ways... Although he apparently walked around with a dynamite under his suit during most of season 3. Eventually subverted as he reveals that he lied about being Reptilian.]]
* [[spoiler:ProperlyParanoid: There really ''are'' aliens out to get him.]]
* UnreliableNarrator: Even if [[spoiler:he is right about reptilians existing,]] it is unclear which - if any - of his other theories are true.
%%* VocalDissonance: As expected of a middle-aged character played by a 16-year old boy.

!Kenneth Hyvel:

Morgan's reporter and close friend who tends to get dragged along on things he doesn't really want to do.

* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Though not to the same extent as Morgan.
* MeaningfulName: Hyvel is Swedish for plane, as in the tool. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
** PunnyName: His daughter is never named, but before her birth he suggests to his wife that she should be named Osta[[note]]This would make her Osta Hyvel, ''osthyvel'' meaning cheese planner.[[/note]].
* [[spoiler:InterspeciesRomance: With his unnamed wife, assuming he is actually a reptilian.]]
* [[spoiler:MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Like Morgan, he's actually a good reptilian.]]
* [[spoiler:OutlivingOnesOffspring: Late in season 2, his unnamed daughter is killed by the reptilians.]]
* ParentalNeglect: He first met his daughter off-screen during the events of season 1 to attend her marriage. She mistakenly thought he was a janitor. Even after that, he didn't as much as know her name.

!Leffe:

A regular guy who lets Morgan rent his basement to use as his studio, even though he's also constantly questioning the logic behind Morgan's theories.

* DeadpanSnarker: Most of his lines are either shooting holes in Morgan's theories or sarcastically agreeing just to get things over with.
* [[spoiler:DemonicPossession: He spends most of season 1 being possessed by a reptilian, who uses him to spy on Morgan and Kenneth and leading its kin to their whereabouts in the season finale.]]
* [[spoiler:MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Much like the other two main characters, he's a reptilian.]]
* OnlySaneMan: [[spoiler:At least at first.]]
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: For the first two seasons, since Leffe almost always is a nickname in real life. Season 3 confirms the most common theory that his first name actually is Leif, [[spoiler:but he still has no surname given]].
* PhraseCatcher: both Morgan and Kenneth have a tendency to tell him "shut up, Leffe".

!The reptilians:

A violent race of human/dinosaur hybrids that will stop at nothing to gain world domination.

* AlwaysChaoticEvil: [[spoiler:Except for the main characters.]]
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: The season 1 finale features [[ThoseWackyNazis communazi reptilians.]]
* MultipleChoicePast: Are the reptilians from a previously unknown planet in our solar system, or the result of a lizard and human getting merged together in a freak accident? Both are suggested by Morgan.
* RubberForeheadAliens: Played for laughs: while Morgan uses some imagery depicting them with scaly skin all over, once the reptilians show up in person, they are portrayed by regular people wearing really cheap dinosaur masks with the rubber strap clearly visible in shots.
