Lucky to even be alive, Dan can no longer interface with Dreamspace, and now he has no option but to face up to his real life in the real world and to try to find the ones responsible for his near death. This is somewhat difficult since as a cyborg, many of his fellow [[FantasticRacism countrymen would like to see him dead]].
