* DoomedHometown: Subverted with the town of Hornbridge. Despite it coming under attack by tribalist factions such as the Scions of Hurricane and the Children of Platinum, who both wanted to "purge" the place of non-pegasi and non-unicorns, respectively, both Midnight Bell and Crystal Prism were able to protect their hometown and drive the tribalists away.
* FantasticRacism: Midnight Bell, an Earth pony filly, had been called "imposter unicorn" as an insult once people discovered that she transformed herself into a unicorn via a wish. The Unicorn town of Hornbridge also had been under attack by tribalist factions twice, both by the Scions of Hurricane who wanted to purge the unicorn and Earth pony residents to make the town purely for pegasus occupation, and the Children of Platinum who wanted to get rid of the non-unicorns. Both groups had been driven off by Crystal Prism, Midnight Bell, and their allies.
* FantasyCounterpartCulture: Judging by the name, the Grittish Isles is based off of Britain, but with heavy Celtic influences on its society and culture.
* FantasyPantheon: Prince Shamrock's entry reveals that the Grittish Isles is watched over by the Coltic Pantheon, of which Shamrock became a permanent member in the Fourth Age. However, it was formed so recently that many people were unaware they ''had'' a pantheon at all, which led to Crystal Prism and Midnight Bell expressing confusion when Shamrock offered a former a place in the Coltic Pantheon.
--> '''Crystal Prism/Midnight Bell:''' We have a pantheon?
* PunnyName: The "Grittish" Isles sounds suspiciously like the "British" Isles.
* TorchesAndPitchforks: Rare semi-heroic example with the whole incident involving Patchwork, the Living Tapestry. At first, a group of angry townponies mis-blamed Patchwork for a spree of children kidnapping and cornered him in a windmill. Once they were stopped from burning it and him down by Crystal Prism, Midnight Bell and Scarlet Bell and was told the actual culprit was Patchwork's creator, they ironically ended up following Patchwork to his father's lair to try and get the bastard, helping the heroes put down the MadScientist's other patchwork flesh-golem creations while Patchwork went after Dr. Binding Stitch.
* WouldHurtAChild: Many villains in the Grittish Isles have harmed and/or sought to harm children for various reasons, such as the Alicorn Ascendancy and their spinoffs, and [[WickedWitch evil witch covens]]. This would be [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4878224452 lampshaded]] by Scarlet Bell after her young grandniece, Midnight Bell, stumbled upon a coven's plot to get rid of all the Isles' children by [[Literature/TheWitches turning them into mice and tricking the transformed children's ignorant families into killing them]].

\
Midnight Bell (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Griffish-Isles-Notable-Individuals-966136512 here]]) is a young filly living in a Grittish Isles, and someone who played an important role in the "birth" of Crystal Prism.
----
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Many things were given to make Midnight Bell fit in the Codexverse, things that her character inspiration, [[Anime/MaryAndTheWitchsFlower Mary]], did not have in the movie.
** Midnight was sent to the Grittish Isles because her mother wanted to protect her from her tribalist relatives, who would disapprove of her being an Earth pony on top of being illegitimate. This is what would give her an inferiority complex on top of being bored and lonely with nothing to do.
** Midnight's adventures were also more or less the same as Mary's, save for one difference - she would come out of it extremely traumatized, and for a time would develop [[ItsAllMyFault a guilt complex]] towards ruining her young neighbor's life with her lies.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Midnight, due to feeling lonely and insignificant in a town mostly populated by unicorns, wished upon a shooting star that she was a unicorn herself so she could be "special". Having unicorn magic turned out to be more troublesome than she thought it would be, and the social demands that came with it caused her to lie about herself until she broke and finally admitted the truth. As a result, she gained infamy for being an "[[FantasticSlurs imposter unicorn]]", while her lies ultimately led to Page Wheel first becoming a monster thanks to Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker's experiments, then reviving/Ascending into the Alicorn demigod, Crystal Prism, after he was killed by Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses to stop his rampage. Learning of what her actions led to caused Midnight to blame herself for some time until she received therapy from Mentálne and Crystal forgave her.
* BeYourself: Or rather, "Be the best you can be", since one of the themes of ''Codex Equus'' is growing into your own potential. Midnight's attempts to overcompensate for her lack of a horn end up backfiring on her, and when she wished upon a shooting star to become a unicorn even for a day, she lacked control over her magic, and felt incredible pressure to keep things up when teachers hailed her as a prodigy. Eventually, her lies caused her young neighbor, a unicorn named Page Wheel, to turn into a monster after being subjected to Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker's experiments, which ultimately led to his Ascension into Crystal Prism after Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses killed him to stop his rampage, only for his own magic to revive him. Having seen the consequences of her wish and actions firsthand, Midnight eventually realized that having unicorn magic is more trouble than it's worth and refused to become a unicorn again when a disguised Luminiferous offered such a chance, which impressed and pleased the antediluvian Alicorn. Since she decided to apply herself, she revealed herself to be talented in chemistry and plant magic, and has received lessons from a Zebra tutor in alchemy and potion-making.
* ChildProdigy:
** As a (temporary) unicorn, she was hailed as this by the teachers of the magic school she was sent to, until they learned that Midnight was only powerful because of a wish she made, causing ponies to label her as an "imposter unicorn", which contributed to her existing inferiority complex.
** Once Midnight was encouraged to be her best by family and friends, and enrolled in a local school, she showed her true skills in plant magic, chemistry and science. It's noted by her profile that her teachers have given her laboratory assignments high praises, and her ambitions in incorporating plants into science led to her gaining a Cutie Mark - a blue Grape Hycianth flower planted in a triangular glass beaker.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: After everything she has been through, Midnight eventually realized her affinity for plant magic and her talent in chemistry, and has received private tutoring from a Zebra in alchemy and potion-making. She also became more mature and confident thanks to Mentálne's therapy sessions, and the love and support she got from her family, to the point where she impressed a disguised Luminiferous by rejecting his offer of becoming a unicorn again. She also reconciled with Page Wheel/Crystal Prism and became his "wing pal" while he's being mentored by Luminiferous.
* {{Expy}}: Of Mary, the titular heroine of ''Anime/MaryAndTheWitchsFlower'', being British/Grittish girls with wild orange hair and strong associations with pink. Though Midnight's character was stated by her writer to be a realistic take on her - while Midnight's adventures were more or less the same as Mary's, the difference is that both she and Page Wheel would come out traumatized by their experiences and would take a while to recover from them, [[AdaptationalAngstUpgrade which didn't happen in the movie]].
* FamilyThemeNaming: Implied. Aside from Midnight Bell herself, there's also her mother, Diamond Bell, and her great-aunt, Scarlet Bell. It's assumed that the rest of her maternal relatives follow this naming formula also.
* FantasticRacism: A major reason why Midnight's mother, Diamond Bell, secretly moved her to great-aunt Scarlet Bell's care in the Grittish Isles; most of Diamond's family are pro-unicorn tribalists and would definitely abuse her daughter for being an Earth pony on top of being illegitimate. Ironically, despite the move, Midnight would be subjected to this trope again after word of her temporary transformation into a unicorn got out, causing her Grittish neighbors and others to call her an "imposter unicorn". This contributed to her inferiority complex, which Mentálne helped her get over by encouraging Midnight to live the best life possible, which according to the doe, is a great "counterattack" that exposes how petty and pathetic Midnight's bullies are.
* FantasticSlurs: She would be called an "imposter unicorn" after Noble Grace learned that the "unicorn" filly was actually a transformed Earth pony, and harshly berated her for lying (though Noble Grace would later regret it as she let her anger influence her). After the news spread, many ponies, including some of Midnight Bell's neighbors, would follow suit out of contempt for Midnight being an Earth pony that dared to try change her race and become a unicorn. This partially contributed to Midnight's inferiority complex, until Mentálne encouraged her to live the best life possible to get back at her tormentors for being so petty and pathetic.
* {{Forgiveness}}: Crystal Prism eventually forgave her for her role in his transformation, which also shows how much he had improved psychologically since his revival/Ascension. Mentálne and Queen Dazzleglow were so delighted that the latter would inform Luminiferous of what happened.
* GenerationXerox: Much like her great-aunt, Scarlet Bell, she would also oppose Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker's cruel experiments on other ponies, and tried to rescue Page Wheel from their hooves. [[YouAreTooLate While she's already too late]], she would help distract Page Wheel's monstrous form so Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses could defeat him, resulting in Page Wheel's death and ultimately his Ascension.
* GirlishPigtails: She wears her wild orange hair in bunches, tied by dark purple ribbons.
* GoThroughMe: Scarlet Bell's entry reveals that after Page Wheel was killed by Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses, and cocooned by the magic he absorbed from his victims, Midnight Bell would try protect his cocooned form from Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, who both wanted to study it. Fortunately, Scarlet Bell would intervene just in time while looking for her runaway grandniece.
* GreenThumb: She has an inclination to plant magic, which she uses to speed up plant growth and heal withered/damaged plants. Relating to her talent, Midnight aspires to look into the magical properties of plants so she could incorporate them into chemistry, her strongest academic subject. This is represented by her Cutie Mark, a blue Grape Hycianth flower that's planted in a triangular glass beaker.
* HeroicBastard: She was born the illegitimate daughter of Diamond Bell, a unicorn, and a "common" stallion (who remains nameless to the public to protect himself from scrutiny). It's implied that her father is an Earth pony though, which is why Midnight was also born an Earth pony. Despite her parents' loving relationship, both it and Midnight wouldn't be accepted by her mother's family, most who are pro-unicorn tribalists, which is why Midnight ended up living in the Grittish Isles with great-aunt Scarlet Bell. Though she had a ''very'' rough start, she eventually learned to accept herself and worked to realize her own potential.
* ItsAllMyFault: Midnight believed that everything, including the TraumaCongaLine that Page Wheel went through before becoming Crystal Prism, was her fault; if she hadn't wished for anything as grand as being a unicorn, none of their experiences would've happened. Crystal Prism eventually forgave her, which along with Mentálne's therapy sessions helped Midnight get over her guilt complex.
* LikeASonToMe: Her great-aunt, Scarlet Bell, loves her like her own daughter and doesn't care that she's an Earth pony.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Due to initially having abandonment issues and an inferiority complex for being an Earth pony among unicorns, Midnight tried compensating by trying to help her neighbors. Her eagerness and clumsiness, however, caused situations to worsen than they were before, causing said neighbors to see her as a well-meaning yet immature foal who doesn't know what she's doing. After receiving psychic therapy from Mentálne, the young Bogolenya Deer goddess of Mental Healing, Midnight grew out of this and only lends her aid if it's truly needed.
* PalsWithJesus: Justified with her relationship with Crystal Prism. She already knew him as the mortal Page Wheel because they're neighbors, though they initially got off on the wrong hoof after he teased her for her clumsiness. After a [[TraumaCongaLine series of horrible events]] that ultimately led to Page Wheel Ascending, they would apologize to each other and reconcile, becoming friends afterwards.
* PenPals: With Crystal Prism frequently away from town due to being Luminiferous's student, Midnight has become his "wing pal"; since Crystal Prism uses {{Telepathy}} to control butterflies and [[AnimalEyeSpy make them his eyes and ears]], Midnight keeps him informed on her life and what's going on at home whenever she sees a butterfly.
* PinkGirlBlueBoy: Midnight Bell is a pink-pelted Earth pony filly with a wild orange mane and tail. Her friend, Page Wheel, was a blue-pelted unicorn colt with a blond mane and tail, though after Ascending and becoming Crystal Prism, his body became black with blue and white markings.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: When the Scions of Hurricane attempted a genocidal siege on Hornbridge, her hometown, she had this to say:
--> '''Midnight Bell:''' I don't care WHAT you say! There's no glorious future for you ANYWHERE because YOU'RE just a group of BULLIES who pick on ponies who don't have wings like YOU do!
* SecretTestOfCharacter: Luminiferous was responsible for temporarily turning Midnight into a unicorn because he wanted to see if she actually wanted to be a unicorn, with everything that comes with it. As it turned out, Midnight had so much difficulty with unicorn magic that she eventually decided that it wasn't worth keeping once her wish ran out. When Luminiferous appeared to her in disguise and asked her if she wanted to be a unicorn again, Midnight refused, stating that she has everything she needs now, which greatly impressed and pleased the antediluvian Alicorn.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Much like her mother and maternal great-aunt before her, her actions would ultimately result in something big happening. Her desire to become "special" by temporarily transforming herself into a unicorn led to her encountering Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, and the stress from keeping up her facade as a ChildProdigy led to said ponies kidnapping Page Wheel after she broke and attempted to save face. Consequently Page Wheel's time as Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker's test subject would turn him into a monster that rampaged throughout the Grittish Isles while absorbing magic, and after he was killed by Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses, he would be revived/Ascended by the very magic he devoured, turning into the Alicorn demigod, Crystal Prism.
* SoProudOfYou:
** This was Luminiferous's response to Midnight refusing his offer to become a unicorn again; since her brief stint as a unicorn was instigated by him as a SecretTestOfCharacter, he was quite pleased to know that Midnight has learned her lesson and started growing into her own potential rather than look for shortcuts.
** It's noted in Scarlet Bell's entry that she was quite proud of her grandniece for doing well in school.
* YouAreTooLate: She attempted to save Crystal Prism, then "Page Wheel", from being experimented on by Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker just like what her great-aunt Scarlet Bell had done, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone feeling guilty for having a direct role in Page Wheel's kidnapping and experimentation]]. Unfortunately, she arrived too late, as Page Wheel turned into a magic-eating monster that would rampage across the Grittish Isles. She did, however, help distract the corrupted Page Wheel by talking him down, allowing Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princesses to defeat and kill him. This trope is implied to have played a part in Midnight's guilt complex, as she deeply regretted ruining Crystal Prism's life until he forgave her.

[[folder:Diamond Bell]]
Midnight Bell's unicorn mother. Born in Equestria, Diamond Bell is the daughter of a well-to-do unicorn family until she went against her parents' wishes by falling in love with a common stallion and marrying him. Their union resulted in the birth of an Earth pony filly, Midnight Bell. Wanting to protect her daughter from her family, most of whom were pro-unicorn tribalists, Diamond Bell secretly moved Midnight to the Grittish Isles, where she would be raised by great-aunt Scarlet Bell until her parents made enough money to reunite with her there.
----
* DefectorFromDecadence: Most of her family members were pro-unicorn tribalists and (implied) very well-to-do. Diamond Bell rebelled against them by marrying a "common" stallion for love. She also secretly shipped off her daughter, Midnight Bell, to the Grittish Isles so she would be protected from her maternal relatives.
* {{Elopement}}: She eloped with a "common" stallion after falling in love with him. It's implied that her family would've [[ParentalMarriageVeto forbidden the marriage anyway]] out of [[FantasticRacism tribalism]], so her decision was understandable.
* FamilyThemeNaming: Implied; going from the names of her daughter and aunt, her family and relatives presumably follow the "___ Bell" formula.
* FantasticRacism: Averted. While most of her family members are pro-unicorn tribalists, she isn't, and even married a "common" stallion for love. She also moved her daughter, Midnight Bell, to Scarlet Bell's care so she'll be protected from her family, who would certainly abuse her for being an Earth pony on top of being an illegitimate foal.
* HappilyMarried: Implied to be this with her husband, a "common" stallion who's implied to be an Earth pony.
* MamaBear: She secretly sent her young daughter, Midnight Bell, to live in the Grittish Isles because she knew her family, many of them pro-Unicorn tribalists, would abuse Midnight Bell for being a bastard Earthpony.
* MarryForLove: She went against her family's wishes and married a "common" stallion for love. The result of their union was [[HeroicBastard Midnight Bell]].
* MissingMom: Justified; she was absent for a majority of Midnight Bell's life because she secretly had her daughter transferred to the Grittish Isles, where she would live under the care of great-aunt Scarlet Bell. She and her "common" husband remained in Equestria in the meantime, working until they had enough money to move and reunite with their daughter.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Had she not eloped with the "common" stallion she fell in love with, she wouldn't have Midnight Bell. Likewise, her decision to send her daughter to the Grittish Isles [[MamaBear to protect her from her tribalist relatives]] would ultimately kick off a series events that would result in Page Wheel, a unicorn colt, Ascending to become the Alicorn Crystal Prism, while Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker would be exposed and arrested for their crimes thanks to Midnight Bell's interference.
* SuprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Despite being HappilyMarried with her husband and loving her daughter, Midnight Bell, very much, it's implied that her financial situation post-elopement [[RichesToRags wasn't so great]]. She would also face the prospect of Midnight Bell being abused by her family, most who are pro-unicorn tribalists, for being an Earth pony should they learn of her existence. She ultimately decided to secretly move Midnight to the Grittish Isles and into the care of great-aunt Scarlet Bell, who lacks her family's tribalist views.
* UptownGirl: She fell in love with a "common" stallion, who would become Midnight Bell's father, and eloped with him against her rich unicorn family's wishes. Because most of her family are [[FantasticRacism pro-unicorn tribalists]], Diamond Bell [[MamaBear secretly transferred her young daughter to the Grittish Isles and into the care of great-aunt Scarlet Bell to protect her]]. As it turns out, Diamond bell's decisions would [[SmallRoleBigImpact have a profound effect on things]], as Midnight Bell would later play a role in exposing two criminals masquerading as teachers, and the Ascension of a young unicorn colt.

\
Scarlet Bell (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Griffish-Isles-Notable-Individuals-966136512 here]]) is Midnight Bell's maternal great-aunt, and an important figure in the life of her grandniece and her friend, Crystal Prism.\

Born in Pferdia to an aristocratic unicorn family, Scarlet Bell was the "joy" of her hometown and was beloved for her cheerfulness. During her time as a student of a local magic school, several of her classmates and friends would mysteriously disappear one by one. A little investigating took her to an uncharted part of the school that held a secret laboratory, occupied by magically transformed animal hybrids and several of her classmates. To her horror, Scarlet Bell learned that her beloved teachers, Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, were performing horrific experiments on their own students, targeting those with the brightest and talented minds in their quest to learn how to turn ponies into Alicorns.\

Horrified, Scarlet Bell would confront Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, despite fearing for her own life. After calling out her teachers on their hypocrisy, she engaged them in a fight, resulting in the enraged Noble Grace misfiring a spell that caused a huge explosion and fire. Scarlet Bell succeeded in rescuing her classmates and friends, but was horrifically injured in the process and left with permanent burn scars.\

Scarlet Bell was publicly lauded as a hero. But, traumatized by her experiences and wanting to get away from the attention, she moved to the Grittish Isles with a relative and a few servants, and settle down to a quiet life in the (mostly) unicorn town of Hornbridge. She also chose to move so she could protect herself from potential retribution from her former teachers. Unfortunately, through sheer coincidence, Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker would also flee to the Grittish Isles to escape the law, and would work there in secret for many years under new names and magical glamours.\

Around this time, Scarlet Bell's grandniece, Midnight Bell, had temporarily transformed from an Earth pony filly into a unicorn after wishing on a shooting star. Scarlet Bell would send her to a magic school so she could learn how to control her unicorn magic, unaware that said school was headed by her former teachers. By the time she realized this, the Grittish Isles was attacked by a corrupted Page Wheel, who was kidnapped and transformed into a magic-eating monster. After Midnight Bell ran away from home to "save Page Wheel from those evil teachers!", Scarlet Bell called the authorities and attempted to find her runaway grandniece, whom she eventually found defending Page Wheel's cocoon from a magically-drained Bubbling Beaker and Noble Grace. Scarlet Bell confronted her former teachers one last time before their arrest, and notably decked Noble Grace in the face for all the horrors she had inflicted on innocent people.\

Personality-wise, Scarlet Bell was a cheerful and generous filly, and despite her noble birth, she has often used her family's money to buy gifts for the poor and needy. She was also quite trusting, and admired Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker for being fun, smart, and powerful teachers. However, once she discovered their hypocrisy and cruel experiments, Scarlet Bell was understandably traumatized, and confronting them to save her classmates caused her to suffer nightmares. However, what ultimately kept her going was the love of her relatives, and her friends and classmates who were all grateful to her for saving them. After Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker were apprehended and imprisoned, she received closure knowing that the two Ponies she feared most were brought to justice.\

In her old age, Scarlet Bell is a very maternal and warm-hearted figure with a witty sense of humor. She's rather fond of foals despite having never married, and unlike most of her family, she doesn't share their pro-unicorn tribalist beliefs. Despite Midnight Bell being an Earth pony filly born out of wedlock, Scarlet Bell loves her like her own daughter, and has served as a source of emotional support for both Midnight and Page Wheel, now Crystal Prism, while they were recovering from their own traumas. Scarlet Bell is also quite humble, and never really cared for the attention and publicity she received for her heroics, only seeing herself as an ordinary mare who did the right thing.\

Power-wise, Scarlet Bell has magical telekinesis that is common among unicorns, but she mostly uses it to make tea. However, she developed a talent for light magic when she was younger, and can do things like create orbs of light to help people see better at night and ease their fears of the dark, and induce bright flashes to stun people. While she was a young amateur compared to someone like Noble Grace, she was able to best her teacher by timing her flashes to throw her off-balance, causing the fated school fire when Noble Grace, in her rage, misfired a spell that set her old school ablaze. Scarlet Bell was also a fast runner when she was younger, which allowed her to avoid being caught by Bubbling Beaker; while she's still healthy for an elderly mare, she doesn't have as much energy as she used to.\

While not on par with certain legendary heroes, Scarlet Bell serves an example of the ever-present potential to do good things, even if the person(s) in question is seemingly ordinary.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Compared to [[Anime/MaryAndTheWitchsFlower Great-Aunt Charlotte]], her character inspiration, she takes a more proactive role here. Notably, unlike Great-Aunt Charlotte, she would get in a magical fight with her teachers as a foal, saving her classmates from being experimented on by them. And years later, the ''moment'' she discovered that her former teachers were in the same country as her and still preying on young foals and teenagers, including the young son of a neighboring family she knew, she immediately called the authorities and tried finding Midnight Bell, her grandniece, by herself after the latter ran away from home to save Page Wheel alone. She even punched a now-magically powerless Noble Grace in the face for all the horrific actions she had done to her loved ones during their public confrontation, [[WorthIt something she doesn't regret]].
* BatterUp: When members of the Alicorn Ascendancy traveled to Hornbridge in search for Crystal Prism and approached her for information, she proceeded to attack them with a baseball bat before handing them over to the authorities.
* BreakTheCutie: Her admiration of Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker as teachers was [[BrokenPedestal brutally shattered]] when she learned exactly why several of her classmates and friends went missing, and what was going to be done with them. Confronting her teachers and narrowly surviving the fire that resulted from their fight left her literally and figuratively scarred. She moved to the Grittish Isles to escape public attention and protect herself from possible retribution from her former teachers, and her traumas left her quite frightened and distrustful, to the point where she had nightmares for a while. She eventually got better, thanks to the love of her relatives and the gratitude of those she saved.
* BrokenPedestal: Her entry notes that as a young filly, she once idolized Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker for being smart, powerful, and fun teachers. However, the horrific discovery of her teachers' goals and what they planned to do with her friends and classmates brutally shattered her perceptions of them, to the point where she initially was distrustful of adults and had nightmares about it. Even though she got better years later, she nonetheless panicked when she learned that Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker ended up in the Grittish Isles like she did by ''sheer coincidence'', and after finding Midnight Bell, who had run away from home alone to save Page Wheel, defending Page Wheel's cocoon from them, she would confront her former teachers and deck Noble Grace in the face for her crimes.
* CoolOldLady: She's an elderly unicorn mare, yet she loves her grandniece, Midnight Bell, [[LikeASonToMe like her own daughter]] and doesn't care that Midnight's an illegitimate Earth pony filly. Her entry would explicitly describe her as this - while her childhood experiences have tempered her, she's still the cheerful and helpful pony she was as a filly, and is also a warm and maternal figure who's rather fond of foals. Despite her privileged childhood as a unicorn aristocrat, she never developed the [[FantasticRacism pro-unicorn tribalism]] that most of her family and relatives had. Hornbridge residents would note that she has a quite witty sense of humor, and would cheer up someone with a few quips if they were sad and/or unhappy. In regards to Page Wheel/Crystal Prism and Midnight Bell, she's a constant, encouraging, and benevolent figure in their lives and even helped them recover from their own traumas. And notably, when she finds her injured grandniece trying to protect Page Wheel's cocoon from Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, Scarlet Bell doesn't hesitate in protecting Midnight and giving her former teachers a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, before [[WhenEldersAttack punching Noble Grace in the face]].
* CowardlyLion:
** When she was younger, she understandably feared the possibility of getting injured or killed by Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, who are both intelligent and powerful ponies and could easily end her. However, she ultimately pressed on because her desire to save her classmates from a "monster" was stronger than her fear. She would survive and succeed in her goal, fortunately, but a misfired spell caused a great explosion and fire that gave her permanent burn scars.
** Averted years later when she confronted Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker again with TranquilFury, being completely dedicated to protecting her grandniece, Midnight Bell, and a cocooned Page Wheel from them. She even punched Noble Grace in the face for all the atrocities she had done over the years, and didn't regret a thing. It's stated by her entry that her former teachers' arrests brought her personal closure that allowed her to be more open and social, knowing that the two ponies she once feared were finally brought to justice. Noble Grace being rendered powerless magically with no other way to retaliate also helped.
* EtTuBrute: [[BreakTheCutie She really didn't take it well]] when she discovered that her beloved teachers, Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, were responsible for her classmates and friends' disappearances by persuading them into participating in their well-meaning, yet cruel experiments.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Anime/MaryAndTheWitchsFlower Great-Aunt Charlotte]]. Like her, she's an elderly maternal figure for Midnight Bell, who is based on Charlotte's grandniece, Mary. In her youth, she would also succeed in opposing her teachers and stopping their cruel experiments on their own students, which is exactly what Charlotte did when she was younger.
* FamilyThemeNaming: Implied; going from the names of her niece and grandniece, her family and relatives presumably follow the "___ Bell" formula.
* FantasticRacism: Averted; unlike most of her relatives, she loves her grandniece, Midnight Bell, like her own daughter despite the latter being an Earth pony and an illegitimate foal, normally regarded as anathemas to pure-blooded unicorns like her.
* GenerationXerox: Years later, her grandniece, Midnight Bell, would inherit her orange hair and oppose Noble Grace in stopping her cruel experiments. [[YouAreTooLate While Midnight was too late in saving Page Wheel from becoming a monster]], she would help distract his corrupted monster form by talking him down, allowing Luminiferous and the Equestrian Princess to defeat and kill Page Wheel. This ultimately resulted in his revival and Ascension into an Alicorn demigod.
* HumbleHero: As stated by her folder quote and Codexverse entry, she's rather humble, and only sees herself as an ordinary pony who did the right thing. In fact, it's partially because of this that she moved to the Grittish Isles and lived a quiet life in Hornbridge, wanting to get away from the public attention she received for her actions as a filly. Furthermore, she serves as a living example of the potential for people to do good in the Codexverse, regardless if they're legendary heroes or not.
* KarmicJackpot:
** Her foalhood actions in opposing two morally bankrupt teachers and saving her classmates from them would result in Pferdia lauding her as a hero, though she would shortly move to the Grittish Isles to escape the attention and protect herself from further retribution.
** Years later, after learning that Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker have also moved to the Grittish Isles to escape the law and continue their work, she promptly called the authorities and attempted to find Midnight Bell, who ran off alone to save a kidnapped Page Wheel. Her intervention not only got Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker arrested, but also saved Midnight Bell and Page Wheel from them, especially the latter since he was being revived in a magical cocoon at the time and was rendered a sitting duck. This would also result in Scarlet Bell becoming acquainted with an Alicorn demigod once Page Wheel was completely healed and Ascended as Crystal Prism.
** She would befriend the "pseudo-Alicorn", Patchwork, and choose to give him the benefit of the doubt despite his terrifying appearance. This would go a long way in influencing Patchwork to kill Dr. Binding Stitch, his creator, and become a Grittish hero and divine champion.
* KidHero: Deconstructed. [[CowardlyLion Even though she feared being killed or injured by her own teachers]], she nevertheless confronted Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker and fought both of them to save her classmates from becoming their test subjects. However, the traumas of discovering her beloved teachers [[BrokenPedestal weren't what she thought they were]], nearly losing her friends to them, and nearly dying from the fires that resulted from their fight left her frightened and distrustful, to the point where she had nightmares for a while. The praise she got for her heroic actions motivated her to move to the Grittish Isles because she didn't want the attention and because she feared that it would make her a target for retribution from her former teachers.
* LikeASonToMe: She loves her grandniece, Midnight Bell, like her own daughter and doesn't care that she's an Earth pony filly born out of wedlock.
* LivingLegend: She's famous in her home country, Pferdia, for being a "whistleblower", thanks to her actions of opposing two morally bankrupt teachers as a filly. After her actions in the Grittish Isles, she became ''even more'' famous. [[HumbleHero She just wishes the public wouldn't give her extra attention for it]]. Her reputation was such that [[OhCrap a member of the Alicorn Ascendancy recognized her from overhearing their colleagues' discussions about her]], which she confirmed before [[BatterUp beating them up with a baseball bat]] for going after Crystal Prism.
* TheMagnificent: Because of her childhood actions in opposing Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, two well-meaning yet morally and mentally bankrupt teachers who [[WouldHurtAChild experimented on foals]] to mass-produce Alicorns, she became known as "The Whistleblower" in Pferdia. She would later live up to it years later, when she would confront her former teachers as an old mare and provoke Noble Grace into having a public MotiveRant about her intentions in her [[VillainousBreakdown maddened, desperate rage]], then punching Noble Grace in the face afterwards for what she did to Page Wheel.
* MamaBear: Well, [[NeverMessWithGranny elderly maternal great-aunt]], but still applies.
** When she learns that Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker have moved to the same country as her by sheer coincidence, she promptly calls the authorities and tries finding Midnight Bell, who ran off alone to try save Page Wheel from them. And when she finds Midnight defending Page Wheel's cocoon from the same ponies, Scarlet doesn't hesitate to protect her grandniece ''and'' the cocooned Page Wheel from her former teachers, [[WhenEldersAttack including punching Noble Grace in the face for all she had done]].
** When members of the Alicorn Ascendancy arrived in Hornbridge looking for Crystal Prism and approached her for information, she proceeded to [[BatterUp attack them with a baseball bat]] before handing them over to the authorities.
* MeaningfulAppearance: Her first time confronting and fighting Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker to save her classmates as a filly left her scarred literally (got horrifically burned in the resulting fire and has permanent scars) and [[BreakTheCutie figuratively]] (was rather distrustful for a while and feared for her own life, prompting her move to the Grittish Isles).
* MeaningfulName:
** She's an elderly unicorn mare with a faded red pelt and a ringing bell for a Cutie Mark. Her name is ''Scarlet Bell'', though it fit more when she was younger because her pelt was then a bright red color.
** Following the exposure and (eventual) downfall of Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, many people have interpreted her Cutie Mark and Special Talent to be [[TheStoolPigeon whistleblowing]], which fits since her courage in standing up to them was what got her former teachers arrested in the first place.
* MindOverMatter: She's described as having magic-based telekinesis that many unicorns have. [[MundaneUtility She mostly uses it to make tea]].
* MundaneUtility: She mostly uses her [[MindOverMatter unicorn telekinesis]] to make tea.
* NeverMessWithGranny: She became an established hero in Pferdia because of her actions in exposing and fighting two morally bankrupt teachers when she was a filly, but she was [[HumbleHero too humble about it]] and partially moved to the Grittish Isles to escape the attention. Years later, when she finds Midnight Bell protecting Page Wheel's cocoon from her former teachers, she goes TranquilFury and quickly moves in to protect her grandniece, provoking a VillainousBreakdown and a MotiveRant from Noble Grace. Apparently [[WhenEldersAttack she would punch Noble Grace in the face afterwards]], something that she never regretted.
* PalsWithJesus: Justified with her relationship with Crystal Prism. She already knew him as the mortal Page Wheel, as she is friends with him and his parents. After Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker's experiments paved the way for Page Wheel's Ascension, she would help him recover from his trauma by being a constant, encouraging, and benevolent presence in his life.
* ProperlyParanoid: She feared the idea of Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker retaliating against her for ruining their work as a filly, which became one of the reasons why she moved to the Grittish Isles and settled down for a quiet life. Years later, after her grandniece, Midnight Bell, ran off alone to save Page Wheel, she quickly learned that she was right to be fearful, as Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker also ended up in the same country ''by sheer coincidence''.
* RedIsHeroic: She's an elderly unicorn mare with a faded red pelt, though her pelt was bright red when she was younger. She's also a very HumbleHero who nevertheless has very strong principles and a heroic resolve to do what's right, [[CowardlyLion even though her heart might not be entirely in it]].
* ScarsAreForever: She got permanent burn scars from an incident where she tried rescuing her classmates from Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker, only for a misfired spell to cause an explosion that also caused a great fire. Her entry describes said scars as covering her body as well as almost half her face. It echoes how she [[BreakTheCutie lost her innocence after discovering that her beloved teachers were willing to perform cruel experiments on her classmates when she was a filly]].
* TranquilFury: After confronting her former teachers again while trying to protect Midnight Bell and the cocooned Page Wheel from them, she would give Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech with calm anger, and then [[WhenEldersAttack punch Noble Grace in the face afterwards]].
* WhenEldersAttack:
** A Codexverse quote in her entry reveals that she apparently punched Noble Grace in the face for what she did to Page Wheel and her other victims. She would later state to reporters that she didn't regret doing so.
** She attacked several Alicorn Ascendancy members with a [[BatterUp baseball bat]] after they arrived in Hornbridge and approached her for information regarding Crystal Prism. She would hand them over to the authorities afterwards.
* YouMakeMeSick: She says a variation of this trope to Noble Grace after the latter [[MotiveRant expressed her intentions]] to examine Page Wheel's magical cocoon so she could mold the colt into becoming a herald of a "[[DeityOfHumanOrigin new age]]" for Ponykind. She would apparently punch her former teacher in the face afterwards.
--> '''Noble Grace:''' You don't understand, Scarlet! Bubbly and I wanted to bring a FUTURE for Ponykind! One where everypony can live freely without fear of having their potential dashed by those who seek to kill or enslave them to their whims! And yet, YOU and that interfering FILLY of yours ignored our good intentions, only focusing on how 'wrong' our methods are! Now get out of my way! I need to see that cocoon!\
'''Scarlet Bell:''' Not so fast, you old prune. You're not going ANYWHERE near Page Wheel, or my grandniece for that matter. Not while I still breathe.\
'''Noble Grace:''' Please! It's extremely important for our research! I don't know how that colt ended up like that, but if he landed in such a state, that must mean he has so much potential! So much power! With a bit of tweaking, he's going to bring our people's salvation!\
'''Scarlet Bell:''' A salvation built on the bodies of the foals and teenagers you ruined... You disgust me."

[[folder:Ink Wheel]]
A unicorn mare, and Crystal Prism's mother.
----
* DotingParent: She's very loving and proud towards her son, Page Wheel, especially since he's the only one of her foals to not miscarriage and even live past childbirth. After he became an Alicorn demigod and cured her of her illness, she would apparently go around town declaring that her own son healed her. She also enjoyed bragging to her neighbors about how she became the mother of a young Alicorn, much to her son's embarrassment.
* FamilyThemeNaming: She and her son (before his post-Ascension name change) follow the "___ Wheel" formula, with her name being Ink Wheel. Presumably, her husband follows the naming formula as well.
* GoodParents: She loves her son, Crystal Prism, very much [[DeityOfHumanOrigin even after he became an Alicorn demigod]], especially since he's the only foal who survived childbirth out of the many foals she and her husband tried having. Notably, she's very accepting of Crystal Prism's Alicorn form and name change, [[DotingParent to the point where she enjoyed bragging to her neighbors in Hornbridge about how she became the mother of a young Alicorn]], much to Crystal's embarrassment.
* HappilyMarried: With her husband, Crystal Prism's father.
* KarmicJackpot: She and her family would become good friends with Scarlet Bell sometime after the latter moved to the Grittish Isles. Her son, Page Wheel, would later become an Alicorn demigod after coming in contact with Scarlet's maternal grandniece, Midnight Bell, which would prove handy in curing his mother's sickness as Page Wheel, now Crystal Prism, gained the ability to [[HealingHands heal by encasing people in magical cocoons temporarily]]. Scarlet Bell herself would also intervene on Page Wheel's behalf by protecting him from Noble Grace and Bubbling Beaker while he was cocooned, saving his life in the long run.

-> ''"I'm right and you're wrong, I'm big and you're small, and there's nothing you can do about it!"''
\
Trench Bull (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Griffish-Isles-Notable-Individuals-966136512 here]]) is a sadistic mare who managed to prove herself every bit as vile and monstrous as the powerful villains, gods, and other evil types that populate Equus, despite being ordinary in comparison.
----
* AdaptationalKarma: On top of being utterly humiliated like the Trunchbull by Honey/Mighty Valley as was in canon, she suffered a VillainousBreakdown when Terran Princes Crimson Star and Night Shade hired several Death deities to help corner her and summon the spirits of her murder victims after she tried fleeing town. In the end, she was arrested, tried, and imprisoned for life in the Terran Empire for her crimes... and it's been noted that her punishment wouldn't end with her death, with numerous deities requesting for Emperor Golden Scepter to grant them divine jurisdiction over her soul, including Poena, the entire Grittish Pantheon, Malus Manes, Phykti of the Four Terrors, and Bossa Nova Heartstrings.
* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: Subverted; she and her deceased sister, Sweet Dove, are fraternal twins and thus can be easily told apart. Her entry notes that she was physically larger than Sweet Dove even as fillies.
* ClosetPunishment:
** She invented "The Chokey" by taking an old, narrow, antique closet and lining its interior with sharp nails and glass shards. Much like its [[Literature/{{Matilda}} source inspiration]], the Chokey is essentially a kid's version of the IronMaiden - it is big enough for a small child to fit inside, but no one can lean against the walls without getting scarred in the process. Because of its claustrophobic effects, especially on winged children such as pegasi foals and Griffon cubs, Trench Bull used the Chokey to terrorize her students for a long time [[KarmaHoudini while escaping punishment for it]] because [[RefugeInAudacity everyone (initially) believed the Chokey was too outrageously sadistic to exist]]. Naturally, the Chokey became TheDreaded, with one student being terrified of it that he'd rather [[ForceFeeding force himself to eat a large homemade chocolate cake]] as punishment for stealing a slice of it rather than be imprisoned in the Chokey forever. As a result of its frequent use, Prince Crimson Star ended up [[TheEmpath psychically experiencing what's implied to be years worth of fright and despair left behind by all the students trapped within the Chokey]], nearly leading to an [[HeroicBSOD emotional breakdown]] until his younger brother, Prince Night Shade, dragged him to a safer place. Fortunately, the Chokey was destroyed with Trench Bull's arrest and imprisonment, with the goddess [[InUniverseCatharsis Katharsis]] filming the event for the abused students.
** On the other hand, it's noted that this is just one of many punishments that awaits her in the afterlife should she die. Phykti, the oldest sister of the Four Terrors, loved the Chokey so much that she built a divine version of it, and had requested for Golden Scepter to let her have "first dibs" to Trench Bull's soul so she could test it out. The deities and archangels of the Poenan Pantheon have also been fighting to have Trench Bull's soul transferred to their jurisdiction, so they could give her "an ironic, eternal taste of her own creative medicine".
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Literature/{{Matilda}} Miss Trunchbull]], being a cruel and sadistic headmistress of a children's boarding school who exploited RefugeInAudacity by devising extremely outrageous punishments to torment her students. However, according to [=Kendell2=], she's also a CompositeCharacter of the [[Film/{{Matilda}} movie]] and [[Theatre/{{Matilda}} Broadway]] versions of Trunchbull, giving her an expanded backstory and motivation to her behavior that were only alluded to in the book.
* HatedByAll: After she's revealed and exposed, no one likes her. Even the likes of Noble Grace were utterly horrified by her.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Averted. She and her deceased sister, Sweet Dove, are fraternal twins, and thus look nothing alike. Her entry notes that for one, she is physically larger than Sweet Dove even as a filly.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: After getting away with the murders of her fraternal twin sister Sweet Dove, and brother-in-law Bumblebee, as well as sadistically and cruelly tormenting the students of her boarding school for years, Trench Bull would finally get her comeuppance when little Honey/Mighty Valley used her powerful and recently awakened [[MindOverMatter telekinetic powers]] to utterly humiliate her by making Trench Bull think the spirits of her victims had come to get their revenge. When she tried fleeing town, Terran Princes Crimson Star and Night Shade would track her down and arrest her, recruiting several Death deities to corner her and summon Sweet Dove and Bumblebee's spirits to make her have a VillainousBreakdown. The Grittish Isles was so horrified once her extremely long list of abuse was made known that the local government let the Terran Empire try and imprison her out of gratitude. Both her entry and other entries note that even more punishments await her in the afterlife, with many deities approaching Emperor Golden Scepter with requests to have Trench Bull's soul put under their jurisdiction once she dies; Phykti and the Poenan Pantheon are particularly eager to give her "an ironic, eternal taste of her own creative medicine".

\
Queen Victorious Princess (her entries [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Deities-and-Divines-Part-59-875863755 here]] and [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Deities-and-Divines-Part-62-887703883 here]]) is an Ascendant Vampiric Alicorn goddess of Vampires, Blood, War, Strength, and Courage, and currently the ruling Queen of the Grittish Vampire roosts.\

Victorious Princess was the Fledgeling/Sireling of the infamous super-Vampire of the Hellsing organization 'Atlocard' and is presently the sovereign of all vampirekind in the modern Griffish Isles, having over the course of many millennia and various experiences both comedic or traumatic rose to become one of the most powerful vampires, vampire monarchs and vampire deities of Known History, both ruling and hunting her own kind and other horrors of the night whenever the situation demands. Yet in spite of her monstrous nature and incredible power, she surprisingly maintained the character of the sunny, cheerful and friendly mare she once was, showing and indulging her bloodlust as a vampire only upon those who deserve it or earn her ire.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: While she does become a powerful vampire through Alucard like in both the original ''Manga/{{Hellsing}}'' and its [[WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged abridged version]], here, she managed to go all the way and become a full-blooded Vampiric Alicorn goddess of Vampires, Blood, War, Strength, and Courage.
* TheAssimilator: The reason why Victorious Princess is unusually powerful is because the strain of Vampirism she got from her Sire turns her into this: with blood as a medium from which life could be transferred, she could absorb other beings into herself, consuming them soul, mind and even body and turning them into a disembodied part of her blood-shadow being. With her full vampiric awakening and later her apotheosis, this [[BigEater goes]] up a notch. She can summon those she devoured as willing or obedient Vampire Familiars.
* BelligerentSexualTension: Victorious Princess is a confirmed bisexual - something which led to a bit of a 'Foe-Yay' situation with her counterpart in the Roamane Magnean Church's Section XIII organization Heinkel, who replaced Father Protective Ponyson as Section XIII's Regenerator paladin and ultimate weapon against vampires (Heinkel herself was in a relationship with fellow Section XIII agent Yumi, who unfortunately died in the 'Zeppelin Incident').
* TheBerserker: If caught in a blood-rage, Victorious Princess becomes this as a Vampire, losing herself to her blood-lust whereupon she would tear all her enemies apart like a ravenous, raging predator.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Victorious Princess is a FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire with a sunny, cheerful and friendly disposition who is disarmingly cute and nice. She also happens to be one of the most powerful [[VampireMonarch vampire queens]] and [[PhysicalGod vampire goddesses]] in existence who shows little hesitation in destroying and/or devouring the monstrous and villainous with sadistic brutality and ravenous bloodlust worthy of any slaughterhouse or battlefield.
* BigEater: Is classified as a 'Devourer' deity and had, on account of both having more time and more feeding grounds, drank more blood and consumed more beings mind, body and souls into herself than even her Sire 'Atlocard' (To note, it took 'Atlocard' around 400 years to chow down 2 million - Victorious Princess not only surpassed and ''doubled'' that number by devouring 4 million in only ONE year with the help of a particularly bloody interstellar war during the 'Second Age'). She ended up devouring so many that the ''most conservative'' estimates put the total count of all the beings she consumed blood and soul to be in the high hundreds of millions, and given it's mentioned she had picked clean whole battlefields, continents and worlds over the Second Age, that number is likely even higher (her own [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875863755/4924731574 estimates]] puts the number of beings consumed in the ''tens of billions'').
* {{BFG}}: Being from the 'Second Age' and possessing both training for them and superequine strength, Victorious Princess has a predisposition to using big ballistic weapons, be they Second Age firearms or Fourth Age pneumatic-catapults, and it is noted that she possess and uses a huge collection of such ordinances for massacring her opponents.
--> '''Victorious Princess:''' What can I say? [[ShoutOut Gals]] [[{{WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged}} love]] [[IronicEcho cannons]].
** She even [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/828938753/4927961241 got]] herself [[{{Characters/CodexEquusTheVisitors}} Ork]] '[[https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Snazzgun Snazzguns]]' in her collection for [[MoreDakka large-caliber high-volume firepower]], given to her by the barbaric greenskin xenos [[WorthyOpponent out of reverence and respect]] for her [[InLoveWithYourCarnage capacity for carnage]] during the Second Age.
* BizarreHumanBiology: While mortal, she had a rare congenital condition known as 'Situs Inversus', where her organs are reversed/mirrored from their usual positions. This led to her heart being totaled when her Sire shot through her to get the vampire holding her hostage during the 'Cheddar Incident' despite his sire shooting her on the right side. With her full-awakening into her vampiric nature, her present existence as a mass of solidified shape-shifting blood-shadows had made any issues which comes with this irrelevant.
* CaptainErsatz: Is essentially a Ponified Seras Victoria from ''[[{{Manga/Hellsing}} Hellsing Ultimate]]'' / ''[[{{WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged}} Hellsing Ultimate Abridged]]''
* CastingAShadow: Her true form, once her vampiric nature is fully awakened, is essentially a shapeshifting mass of blood-shadows in the shape of a mare/Alicorn, containing and empowered by all those she devoured and assimilated into herself through drinking their blood.
* CombatSadomasochist: Like her former master Atlocard, she [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875863755/4924737426 seemed]] to find damage amusing or at least developed a cavalier attitude to being on the receiving end of violence, in part due to becoming practically impossible to kill as a result of her godhood and strand of vampirism.
* TheConscience: Has one in the form of Prench mercenary Pip Braveours, leader of the Wild Geese mercenary who was hired by Hellsing to replace soldiers lost in one of Millennium's probing attacks against their organization. Pip and Victorious Princess became friends and had developed feelings for each other up until Pip's tragic HeroicSacrifice against Millennium vampires which attacked the Hellsing mansion during the 'Zeppelin Incident'. Drinking his blood not only fully-awakened Victorious Princess' vampiric nature, but also led to Pip becoming her first Familiar with his soul being devoured and assimilated into her, where he would continue to try and keep her on the straight and narrow path while also offering tactical advice and aid in her battles against the monstrous and villainous. Pip also [[AdaptationalComicRelief provided a lot of quips and funny commentary]] for various situations Victorious Princess found herself in [[BewareTheSillyOnes when not serious]].
* TheCorrupter: Has one in the demonic-divine Lust-incarnate psychiatrist/sage/temptress Joyous Freedom, the Rapturous Nirvana, who became her therapist after both had ascended to godhood. Joyous Freedom not only helped Victorious Princess get over her issues, but also sought to make her more comfortable with what she became by encouraging her to indulge in her ravenous bloodlust and quite literally drown her reservations against embracing her monstrous nature in an ocean of blood. Lampshaded by Victorious Princess' friend and Familiar Pip, who is worried/annoyed by it, even if it did make Victorious Princess happier (and more powerful) in the long run.
--> '''Victorious Princess:''' [Drinking a whole [[WretchedHive corrupt colony world]]'s population worth of blood and souls] More! MORE! Oh, it feels so ''GOOD!''\
'''Familiar!Pip:''' [[GratuitousFrench Sacrebleu]]… She’s really getting into it! I would say you’re a corrupting influence, but it would be like calling water wet...\
'''Joyous Freedom:''' Is it so bad? Nothing of value is lost here anyway. And if this indulgence makes her happy, why should we question it?\
'''Familiar!Pip:''' Well, for one thing, I’m starting to run out of room here with all these new inmates!
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Victorious Princess was once a poor little filly who watched her parents being brutally murdered (and her mother's corpse ''[[ILoveTheDead violated]]'' after they killed her) by the mob when her undercover father's identity was blown, and was left for dead with a gut-shot when she stabbed one of the mobsters' eyes out with a fork. This left her with a lot of psychological trauma which manifests in both quiet timidity and violent rages as she grew up, as well as mental blocks which held her back from becoming all she could be, both as a mortal and as a vampire. It took her even ''more'' traumatic events and ages to overcome those trauma and barriers and [[FromNobodyToNightmare become what she is today]], all the while still holding onto her Equinity.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: Technically, she was Undead when she Ascended, but she started out as a mortal Pony. How that happened is uncertain, though two theories included her [[GodEating eating a hostile god or two]] and absorbing their Primordial Quintessence, or being ascended by the scions of Nekelmu.
* ForgotToPayTheBill: For some reason, Victorious Princess owed money to the [[{{Lunacy}} questionably-sane]] moon-deity empowered vigilante Lunar Squire, who would proceed to pester her about it from the Second Age onwards, much to her frustration.
--> '''Lunar Squire:''' Victorious Princess, you big bucking nerd! Where's my godsdamn money?!
* FriendToAllChildren: Despite having becoming a vampiric divine force of nature, she still hold onto her Equinity in the form of her sunny, cheerful and friendly disposition, which is sometimes expressed in a fondness and protectiveness for children (having tragically and traumatically lost her childhood innocence herself). One of the best ways to earn her [[BerserkButton absolute fury]] is trying to harm children.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: From a timid and traumatized little filly while mortal to a divine force of nature as one of the most powerful vampires, vampire monarchs and vampire deities in Known History which even Count Dracolta of Castellmania and Queen Cramoisie Amour of Royaumort/Shadowpact, both mighty vampiric deities themselves, are wary of confronting.
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: She is a vampire, and like her Sire she not only hunts her own kind, she [[MonstrousCannibalism outright EATS them]].
* HumanoidAbomination: EQUINOID Abomination, technically, but beneath her cute, friendly and sunny exterior Victorious Princess is an ungodly powerful and nigh-unkillable Undead/Divine shapeshifting mass of blood-shadows overflowing with ravenous bloodlust and a proverbial/literal ocean of blood and souls.
* IAmAHumanitarian: Victorious Princess lost her reservations against drinking the blood and devouring the souls of her former kind during the 'One Year War', when she is reminded with the atrocities of the Principality of Zeon that monsters don't have to be Undead to deserve that designation - and that makes them free game as the actual immortal supernatural monsters themselves.
* ImmortalityBisexuality: She's tens of thousands of years old by the modern day and is a confirmed bisexual, although she was bi before becoming a vampire and a goddess.
* HorrorHunger: Like all vampires, Victorious Princess thirsts for blood, and drinks with gusto (mostly from the [[AssholeVictim villains/monstrous]] and [[EatMe some consensual]]) after she loses all remaining reservations against drinking her own kind (Pony or Vampire) or just about any other being for that matter. And her strain of vampirism allows her to quite literally devour her victims' ''[[TheAssimilator everything]]'', mind, body and soul into herself, using blood as a medium from which life (and everything else) could be transferred. By her own estimates, she had already eaten [[BigEater tens of]] ''billions''.
* TheMinionMaster: Once she devoured a being mind, body and soul and convert them into a disembodied part of herself, she could summon them as Familiars to fight for her, whether willingly in the case of those who consent to be devoured (such as Pip), or as unwilling obediant automatons for the villainous and monstrous who were eaten by her. Given she ate somewhere between hundreds of millions to tens of billions by this point, that Familiar army is quite enormous.
* MonstrousCannibalism: One of the things which makes Victorious Princess so terrifying is that she has no issues if not outright revels in drinking the blood and devouring her own kind mind, body and soul, whether her former race or fellow Vampires, not unlike her Sire 'Atlocard'. And she [[BigEater eats them]] [[TheAssimilator a lot]].
** This makes her a figure of dread among Vampirekind as the act of 'Diablerie' - fatally drinking the blood of your fellow vampires - is considered a taboo among many other Vampiric courts, factions and lineages. Queen Victorious Princess for her part ignored the fear and scorn that comes with it, noting the many hypocrisies which comes with vampires complaining about it considering their own natures and histories, and also reminding them only [[AssholeVictim rule-breaking evil vampires]] gets eaten by her, so it's not like they don't have it coming.
* NighInvulnerability: Her strand of vampirism, together with her godhood, made Victorious Princess like her Werebeast Queen counterpart virtually unkillable. Most damage she takes is quickly regenerated, and those which should be fatal to mortals, Undead and even ''gods'' like herself could be shuffled off to the consumed and familiarized souls and beings she has assimilated into herself. And since Victorious Princess has learnt to spread the damage out to the ''hundreds of millions'' if not ''tens of billions'' of beings she consumed, which include a number of gods, so that all damage she takes is ultimate negligible to both her and those she ate, she could NoSell even things which should had killed her divine vampire monarch peers. Just ask her about [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875863755/4924737426 that time]] she got staked in the heart with a divine weapon by a group of [[ANaziByAnyOtherName Autorist]]-aligned vampire hunters.
--> '''Victorious Princess:''' [Got staked] Aaaaugh! [[SarcasmMode Oh, you finally done it!]] [[DoubleEntendre You have taken my heart]]... [[ShoutOut Now do that again]] [[{{WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged}} at least]] ''several billion'' more times.
* OneManArmy: Having become practically a divine force of nature, she had both metaphorically and [[BigEater quite]] ''[[IAmAHumanitarian literally]]'' eaten whole armies for breakfast.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Like her former master/Sire, Victorious Princess is or has become fond of doing this to those of her opponents [[AssholeVictim whose character and actions]] deserve it.
** For [[MindRape re-traumatising her]], slaughtering the Wild Geese and mocking a dead Pip who sacrificed his life to save her, Victorious Princess showed no mercy to the Millennium vampire taskforced sent to attack the Hellsing estate and the vicious leader who led them upon finally pushed to drink Pip's blood and fully awakened her vampiric powers. For their actions, Victorious Princess quite literally slaughtered them all in seconds and grounded their leader's head to ribbons on the walls of the Hellsing Mansion.
** In response to a Zeon attack killing an entire Colony Cylinder with a DeadlyGas during the One Year War for not submitting to the Principality of Zeon, an enraged Victorious Princess went on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge against them - the first time she turned on her own former kind - and massacred the entire taskforce responsible down to the last soldier and the last Zaku mecha, devouring them all mind, body and soul while at it.
** Having been traumatized by watching her parents killed by vicious criminals (one of whom violated her mother's corpse for good measure) and left to die after being shot in the gut, a vindictive and now vampiric divine Victorious Princess was quite gleeful when her demonic-divine NobleDemon psychiatrist Joyous Freedom, the Rapturous Nirvana, arranged to have the mobsters' souls collected from the Hell-Realms they were in and delivered them to Victorious Princess to do as she wish as part of her therapy for her issues. Victorious Princess wasted no time [[YourSoulIsMine devouring and assimilating them]] into her being and sadistically torture them [[AndIMustScream without mercy]] [[FateWorseThanDeath or relent]] to this day for everything she went through because of them, alongside all other wicked mortals whom she also devoured and would torment for eternity.
** Any vampire who broke the rules she as the [[VampireMonarch queen of the Griffish Vampires]] set against harming or drinking the blood of innocent mortals are liable to be torn to shreds or devoured by Queen Victorious Princess herself.
* {{Sadist}}: While retaining her sunny and friendly demeanour, after fully-awakening her vampiric nature, Victorious Princess would develop a sadistic streak similar to the one her former master possesses, indulging it against opponents and victims whom she felt [[AssholeVictim utterly deserve it]]. In battle she would gleefully inducing her enemies' demise in the most brutal and vicious ways possible, and those who are wicked, monstrous or both whom she devoured can look forward to an eternity of torment inside of her. Helps that she had Joyous Freedom, the Rapturous Nirvana as a therapist, who help her recover from her traumas and become comfortable with her new existence by corrupting and encourage her to indulge in her more monstrous side.
** Speaking of Joyous Freedom, the demonic-divine psychiatrist arranged to have the already damned souls of the vicious criminals who murdered her parents and nearly killed Victorious Princess delivered to her patient as part of her therapy, knowing she needs [[InUniverseCatharsis catharsis]] in order to make peace with her sordid past. Victorious Princess wasted no time [[YourSoulIsMine assimilating them into her blood-shadows]], where she would proceed to [[PayEvilUntoEvil sadistically torture them]] alongside all the other wicked and monstrous whom she consumed [[AssholeVictim for all the suffering they caused her]], [[AndIMustScream to this day]] [[FateWorseThanDeath and forever]].
* ThisIsUnforgivable: Victorious Princess was present in one of the Colony Cylinders in space when a Zeon taskforce attacked and depopulated it with G3 gas during the opening week of the 'One Year War', killing every inhabitant who lived there except for her. This enraged her to the point [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge she went on a rampage against them]] - marking the first time she targets her own former kind - and annihilated the Zeon taskforce down to the last soldier and Zaku mecha, even devouring their blood and consumed them body and soul to make sure they would suffer for all eternity inside her.
* VampireMonarch: Is presently the queen of all vampirekind on the Griffish Isles, having been given the crown by some prominent benevolent or neutrally-inclined vampire groups of the Isles during the chaotic early years of the Fourth Age, offering their support in bringing the rest of vampirekind on the isle to heel under her in exchange for her protecting them from malevolent members of their own kind, other rival supernatural monsterkinds and hostile mortals. She accepts it since it allows her to also keep vampirekind on the Griffish Isles in check and protect mortalkind from them as well.
* WarGod: One of her domains is War, and she had been involved in enough battles and conflicts that her existence could be considered one long supernatural war epic.

\
Nanny [=McWee=] (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Griffish-Isles-Notable-Individuals-966136512 here]]) is a Grittish 'government nanny' specializing in families and children which all others would give up on and who no one else could change.
----
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: She is known to be very unconventional in both character and her methods. While she is known to follow her own set of rules and standards very closely, even they are known mostly to herself and could come off as strange. This led to some suspecting she is a Fae.
* ConsummateProfessional: She is this as a nanny, being strict and harsh when she needs to but never harming her charges, always makes sure the children she cares come out of it better with at least five lessons (tailored to their needs).
* {{Expy}}: She's based on the eponymous nanny from ''Film/NannyMcPhee''.
* TheFairFolk: Her strange, often chaotic if effective methods of caring and setting children straight as well as general strangeness and magical nature led to some believe her true nature to be a Fae, although due to being ShroudedInMyth this remains unconfirmed.
* FriendlyRival: She engages in a rivalry with the one and only Merry Poppin, another stern but caring enigmatic magical nanny, but both respect each other.
* HorrifyingTheHorror:
** She's notably one of the only beings that 'Atlocard' flat out refuses to antagonize. No one knows why and the two of them aren't telling.
---> '''Atlocard''': ...Okay, look, I'll screw with a LOT of people, I mean it's one of my favorite pass times, but her? Yeah... no.
** By implication, she manages to do this to several younger ''Princelings of Vice'' while they were her charges in order to set them straight.
* InexplicablyAwesome: No one knows ''why'' she's so powerful or what she is, but she's terrifyingly magically powerful. She's also seemingly immortal.
* MultipleChoicePast: She refuses to explain where she came from or what she really is. Speculation ranges from a fae, to a powerful magic user, to even a scion of a ''Grand Primeval''.
* RealityWarper: Her magic is extremely potent and capable of warping reality to a significant degree.
* TimeAbyss: She's been around for a ''very'' long time, at least the Second Age, possibly older.
* WowingCthulhu: She manages to earn the respect of beings like Emperor Golden Scepter and Vicearch Iniquitous for being able to keep their more troublesome children in line, which is no small feat given how powerful some of her charges like the Terran Princes and the Princelings of Vice can get even at a very young age.

----
* CurbstompBattle: Merry Poppin [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/904477912/4987591643 dealt]] with a violent Griffon racist who was threatening her Zebra foal charges by giving him one of these. First, she opened her magical umbrella to deflect a round his pocket Springcaster fired back to destroy his weapon; then, poked him in one of his eyes with said umbrella when he tried closing-in with a dagger; finally, she strategically planted a soap bar on the ground while he was reeling and stepping aside with her charges when he charged at them in a rage, causing him to slip and fly off into the canal nearby where he planted himself deep in the refuse heap of a garbage barge coasting by. All the while she dropped BondOneLiner after another in the form of her inspiration's famous quotes.
* {{Expy}}: Of the one and only Film/MaryPoppins.
* FriendlyRival: She engages in a rivalry with the legendary Nanny [=McWee=], another stern but caring enigmatic magical nanny, but both respect each other.
* HumiliationConga: Gave one to a Griffon racist who was going to harm/kill her young Zebra charges.
* MamaBear: Dished out a CurbstompBattle to a violent Griffon racist who was going to harm/kill her young Zebra charges to protect them.
* TheMagnificent: Keeping with her inspiration being supposedly 'practically perfect in every way', Merry Poppin is called the (Practically) Perfect Nanny.
* TimeAbyss: She's been around for a ''very'' long time, at least the Second Age, possibly older, like Nanny [=McWee=].

!!Isle of Wights
One of the Griffish Isles and among the most infamous. Situated off the coast of the Griffish mainland, the Isle of Wights is an ill-omened place filled with mysteries and secrets both incredible and supernatural, and often afflicted by evil and misfortune often heralded by portents and omens of doom. Undead monsters, rotten elites, creepy antimessiahs, wicked witches, malevolent demons, sinister ministers, terrible monsters, mad cultists and the like make themselves known on the Isle, making life both interesting and harrowing for its local inhabitants.
----
[[folder:General]]
* {{Expy}}: One for the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Wight Isle of Wight]] in RealLife and implied to be its Fourth Age counterpart.
* IslandOfMystery: The Isle of Wights is an ill-omened place filled with many mysteries and secrets, waiting for the unsuspecting and unfortunate to run into.
* MeaningfulName: [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wight Wights]] are a form of monstrous Undead or otherwise supernatural being. Rather fitting for a ill-omened place where actual Undead had been spotted and terrorises the population among the Isle’s MANY supernatural shenanigans.
* PortentOfDoom: All over the place and partly contributing to its ill-omened repute. It gets worse in recent years due to the presence of its local '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' Daeva Malefia.
* WretchedHive: Downplayed and only implied. While there are many good and honourable people living on the island, the isle of Wights' ill-omened nature as well as presence of evil power and beings leading to no small amount of corruption and evil among its population. The Malefia Family, for example, are rotten to the core save for one aunt in Wightstown (even the patriarch, who hated his own family for it, is not above helping Daeva murder his own family). Wights Abbey School has a rampant BarbaricBully problem with many packs of bullies terrorizing their fellow students and only biting more than they can chew with Daeva. There was a cabal of [[SinisterMinister corrupt priests]] within the local synod of the [[TheChurch Griffish Meganian Church]] who indulged in rampant [[PedophilePriest depraved child abuse]] (before Daeva exposed and secretly murdered them all). And that's before we get to the presence of the aforementioned supernatural evil hiding all over the place, such as Undead, witches, demons, cults and the resident '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' Daeva.

--> ''"Malevolence and misfortune tend to follow in my wake. Many think this marks me as a bringer of great evil and calamity... And they would be right. But they are not the only things which matters to me."''
\
Daeva Malefia (her entries [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Deities-and-Divines-Part-64-897831515 here]]) is an '[[AntiChrist Antimessiah]]' from the Griffish Isles who is rising to prominence in recent years not only because of her growing power and achievements in spite of still being a school-age filly, and also for how she defied her supposed 'destiny' and expectations in spite of embracing her evil nature.
----
* AbusiveParents: Daeva's father was neglectful (while her mother is too busy being dead), being mostly out of Daeva's life on 'business trips' and letting her fend for herself, and on the few occasions he returned he did nothing to help raise Daeva or protect his own father (and Daeva's doting grandfather) from his greedy, grasping siblings and nephews who are waiting for him to die (or a chance to murder him) for his fortune, and then to cap it all off killed Daeva's grandfather/his own father after hearing that Daeva was to inherit his father's fortune, and [[spoiler:wants to drag his daughter and what's left of his family into occultic shenanigans he and his associates had been up to after discovering her true nature]]. Needless to say, Daeva had no problems disowning him as her father and killing him as she had most of her family.
* TheAce: Between her unnatural intelligence and dark powers, Daeva quickly find herself becoming this in school, excelling in both classes and school activities and becoming a dominant figure in nearly every school group and student organization she became part of through her supernatural charisma and skillful manipulation. She also quickly mastered both her dark powers as well as dark arts under the tuition of the likes of Warrick the Warlock in Blackfriar Moors.
* AffablyEvil: Daeva is a CreepyChild who started off murdering most of her family (who [[AssholeVictim admittedly had]] [[PayEvilUntoEvil it coming]]) with demonic powers and devious cunning at age six and is born with a dark destiny, but from what is revealed so far, she is capable of genuine love and friendship despite her innate cruel, vicious and evil nature. Notably, she was motivated as much by her desire to protect her dying paternal grandfather from the rest of her rotten family so he could spent his final years in peace as it was out of hatred for her rotten family and a desire to inherit his wealth (which he DID promised her as she was the only one who he cared for). She could also be very charismatic when she needed to be thanks to her unnatural intelligence and supernatural abilities, and as shown in her group of companions is capable of genuine friendship with those who saw pass her grades, status and presence and sincerely caring for her.
* AnimalsHateHim: Animals and even plant life react badly in her presence. Her mere birth caused all the plants around the Malefia estate to die, and most animals turn hostile in her presence, save for those usually often associated with evil like snakes. A few vermin or critters which ran afoul or bothered her [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals don't live long]] [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior to regret it]].
** Subverted with her pet snake, which were one of the few animals which doesn't hate her automatically and which she very much loved. Its death by a cruel relative who killed and laughed about it in her face led to Daeva murdering her in a vengeful rage - [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom and in the process discovering and awakening her dark powers]].
* AnthropomorphicPersonification: She's an Alicorn (demi-?)goddess who embodies Evil, Hell, Damnation, Calamity, and Misfortune.
* TheAntiChrist: She is an 'Antimessiah', born with a dark destiny where she is supposed to bring about great evil and misfortune over the earth. While she did embrace her powers and nature later on, she would [[ScrewDestiny reject her apparent destiny]] to [[AntiAntichrist forge her own path]].
* AntiAntichrist: An interesting case. She only rejected her supposed destiny and expectations, but otherwise embraced her evil powers and nature. This apparently stemmed from her desire to have genuine friends and family as much as she desired power and causing evil great or small for her own ends, as well as not being aware of exactly what her dark destiny was until much later.
* AssholeVictim:
** Nearly every member of the Malefia Family who isn't Daeva, her paternal grandfather or her distant loving aunt in Wighttown is a rotten person, made decadent by their wealth and are one and all heartless, cruel and selfish Ponies who cared only for themselves and their patriarch's wealth. Even said patriarch couldn't stand them, to the point he gave his granddaughter his full approval and advice on how to bump them off when he noticed her doing it, in part to make sure she alone would be the one to inherit his fortune, not anypony else in his own family.
** Many BarbaricBully who were [[TooDumbToLive stupid enough]] to [[BullyingADragon mess with Daeva]] or [[BerserkButton her friends]] were such complete flankholes they almost deserved what awful fates or horrific demises they got as a consequence. Foul Breath, [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959044292 for example]], was so cruel and mean she ''took pride'' in almost driving one of her victims to suicide, while Spoiled Cabbage found amusement harassing one of Daeva's friends to the point of trying to ruin said friend's birthday party and threatened Daeva with violence when she foiled their plot. Considering [[TheAntiChrist who they were messing with]], it ends badly for both of them.
* BarbaricBully: When she went to an elementary boarding school after moving into Wightstown, she was targetted by several packs of bullies who thought this CreepyChild was an easy target. Most of them, except for those who are too fearless or stupid, quickly learned it was a bad idea to pick on her after some of them either [[NothingIsScarier flat out disappeared]] or suffered various misfortunes either implied by her direct hoof or indirectly due to her presence.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Neglected by her own father and rotten relatives, Daeva Malefia was genuinely attached to her DotingGrandparent, who practically raised her and saw her as the only one in his own family left who was worth caring for, promising she would inherit all of his vast fortunes one day because of it.
* BerserkButton: Messing with anyone or anything she genuinely love and care for is one big red button for Daeva Malefia, to which she would respond with demonic fury and vengeance only an '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' like herself are capable of.
** Daeva pushed her cruel third aunt down a flight of stairs and broke her neck when she killed Daeva's beloved pet snake and laughed about it. This act awakened the dark powers Daeva was born with.
** Daeva's neglectful father murdered her doting grandfather when the Malefia patriarch finalized a will which gives his vast fortune to Daeva instead of him, his son. Daeva responded by summoning and immolating him and his associates in hellfire.
** One of Daeva's friends at school [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959044292 was]] being picked on by a vicious bully, Spoiled Cabbage, who even dared to threaten physical harm at Daeva when she foiled an attempt by him and his pack to cruelly ruin her friend's birthday party. Within four days, his cronies were carried off by a pack of vicious beasts, his family's shady business collapsed, his flankhole parents died in an apparent murder-suicide, and Spoiled Cabbage himself went mad and was institutionalized in a sanitarium for juveniles. While nopony could prove it, many students in her school suspected it has something to do with Daeva - or Daeva had something to do with it.
** Daeva herself [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959044292 was]] [[BullyingADragon confronted by a pack of bullies]] led by Foul Breath over a slight, and when she ignored them and dismissed all their threats, Foul Breath tried to get her back by taking away the book she was reading, ripping it to pieces and stomping on its remains on the ground, laughing about it with her pack. [[TooDumbToLive This proved to be her last mistake]] as the book [[TragicKeepsake was a memento from Daeva's own late mother]]. A coldly enraged Daeva responded by inflicting a CruelAndUnusualDeath on Foul Breath on the spot, one so horrific the minds of Foul Breath's horrified cronies refused to even register it, instead each saw Foul Breath's demise as something else less horrible like turning into a salt statue, flayed alive, being eaten inside out by insects...
* BullyHunter: Downplayed and PlayedForHorror. While she did not actively go after the packs of bullies which terrorized the elementary boarding school she went to after moving into Wightstown with her surviving relative, any bully which messed with her or her friends suffered one terrible fate or another, if not outright disappearing altogether, and those who didn't quickly learnt to back off.
* BullyingADragon: Many bullies at Wights Abbey School thought Daeva’s status as a rich star student social outcast makes her an easy target to pick on. It ends as well as it can be expected.
* BoardingSchool: After moving into Wightstown, Daeva would go to a prestigious local one in the form of Wights Abbey School, where she would spent the next four years of her life, studying and staying in the dorms on weekdays while living with her caretaker aunt on weekends.
* TheChessmaster: When [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959045136 helping]] the reclusive dark wizard Warrick the Warlock of Blackfriar Moor resolve his centuries-long feud with the evil witch Tenebrous the Treacherous, she executed an elaborate, high-risk scheme which allowed her to trick Tenebrous into destroying herself after Daeva's initial efforts to deal with her through her powers and cunning failed before the evil witch's own power and experience. She pretended to offer herself in becoming her student in the dark arts, and was tasked with stealing a sample of Warrick's 'Elixir of Renewing Youth' which she desired more than having her as an apprentice. She does so, risking Warrick's wrath [[XanatosSpeedChess stealing it from him]] when she [[SpannerInTheWorks failed]] to [[PragmaticVillainy persuade him into just giving it over]]. She then gave it to Tenebrous to sample, but not before using her dark powers to [[{{Transmutation}} transmute]] some of it into a magical compound - not poison, knowing the evil witch [[ProperlyParanoid suspect treachery at every turn]] even as she [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder gleefully betrays everyone else]], but is [[LogicalWeakness less likely to suspect something which could just be an ingredient she does not know of]] - which only react in vicinity of certain dark magics like the ones writhing through her old crone body. The elixir changed properties because of this just as it went down her gullet, turning from an 'Elixir of Renewing Youth' to an 'Elixir of Animal Transformation' which turned Tenebrous into a rat instead of rejuvenating her. Warrick was so impressed at her cunning (and grateful for finally getting rid of his hated ArchEnemy for him) he forgave her earlier transgression, helping to tutor her in mastering her dark powers and become a valuable ally in uncovering the truth of her 'dark destiny'.
* ChildProdigy: She is still a school age filly, yet she is noted to be unnaturally intelligent to the point she is already smarter and keener than most adults, aced all her classes academically, is a natural manipulator and schemer, and had already mastered MindManipulation, [[MindOverMatter Telekinesis]], [[PlayingWithFire Pyrokinesis]], {{Transmutation}}, [[{{Curse}} Curses]] and other dark powers and dark arts she was born with or later learnt on a level to rival centuries-old experienced wizards and witches.
* ColdBloodedTorture: Daeva is implied to indulge in this on occasion, starting with vermin which bothered her but later on upon those who got upon her bad side or she found deserving. She inflicted this upon her depraved fourth uncle using Malefia Manor's collection of medieval torture devices in its basement. She [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959682737 later]] threatened this to a cultist to make him tell her everything he knows about the cult seeking to capture and force her into fulfilling her supposed dark destiny, though Detective Strange Happenings arrived just in time to convince her there are better ways to make him talk.
* CreepyChild: Daeva's birth was heralded by many portents of doom and caused misfortunes all around the Isle of Wights. At six years old, Daeva was unsettlingly calm and well-behaved, as well as more unnaturally intelligent and keen-eyed than the adults of her family. Her mere presence was enough to make animals hate her, make her surroundings unbearably cold or hot, darken any room she's in and floor Ponies with dread. This creeped out many in her family, who are already heartless and uncaring towards her, and made them disregard and despise her even more.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Some of her more spectacular murders of her rotten family were made to be these in reflection or parody of her {{Asshole Victim}}s vices and sins in life, helped along by her devious intellect and dark powers. The same goes for anyone else after that who messed with Daeva or those she genuinely care for.
** She killed her second uncle, a villainous glutton, while he was having a health-mandated walk in the Malefia Manor gardens by luring him into the estate's private zoo with a magical illusion of a grand feast, where he would fall into a pit full of lions when the railing she tampered with gave way, resulting in him being EatenAlive.
** She killed two of her aunts, a pair of twins, using their vanity and envy, [[GreenEyedMonster tricking one into murdering the other out of jealousy]] after using MindControl to have a visiting famous fashion figure invite one of them to perform in a grand show, and then [[DrivenToSuicide drove the other one to suicide]] by spiking her make-up with a toxic compound which ruined her face when applied.
** She killed her third uncle, a greedy bastard who had been stealing treasure from her paternal grandfather's vault, by using telekinesis to topple the pile of treasure right on top of him, crushing him to death.
** She killed her fourth uncle, a lustful and depraved stallion who was a suspected pedophile and accused rapist, by luring him into the Malefia Manor basement, knowing he can't resist trying to molest her, only to have him trapped in one of the collection of medieval dungeon torture devices and proceeded to torture him to death.
** She killed her own father, after he murdered his own father and her grandfather, by unleashing her dark powers fully for the first time and immolating him and his associates in hellfire, an act which also burnt down Malefia Manor.
** She killed a BarbaricBully, Foul Breath, [[TooDumbToLive for destroying her late mother's book]] and [[BerserkButton desecrating her memory]] [[BullyingADragon out of spite for Daeva]], [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959044292 inflicting]] a death on the spot so horrific the minds of Foul Breath's horrified cronies flatly refuse to comprehend it, save as ''less'' horrible demises such as being turned into a [[LiterallyShatteredLives crumbling]] [[TakenForGranite salt statue]], being [[FlayingAlive flayed alive]], being eaten from the inside out by a spontaneously-generated swarm of foul insects, among other things - all of which does not do [[NothingIsScarier what actually happened]] justice.
* DaddyDidntShow: From her birth onward, her father wasn't there for her for much of her childhood, being constantly away on business trips. It turns out [[spoiler:he and his associates were planning something in relation to his young daughter's supposed destiny]], but the fact that [[spoiler:he intended to use his daughter as a pawn all along]] showed how very little he cared for her as a person. Needless to say, Daeva feel no remorse in rejecting him as her father and killing him with hellfire.
* DeathGlare: Helped by the fact she had crimson-pupiled eyes which glow blood red with light in rage and malevolence, Daeva's gazes are truly terrifying sights which more often than not heralds an act of evil or use of her dark powers. Her bully Foul Breath learn this the hard way as she became filled with terror looking into them, moments before Daeva inflicted a CruelAndUnusualDeath upon her for [[TooDumbToLive spitefully destroying one of Daeva's late mother's books]] and [[BullyingADragon desecrating her mother's memory right before Daeva]].
* DefrostingIceQueen: While she initially didn't think much of the four classmates who she would eventually get along with, their sincerity as kindred outcasts who aren't afraid of and even genuinely care for her eventually led to her recognizing and caring back for them as her friends.
* DevilInPlainSight: As [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959335835 noted]], what partly made Daeva so disturbing is just how inconspicuous she is, her default appearance before her ascension being a Griffish-Maretonian school-age Earthpony filly with olive fur, shoulder-length blonde mane and tail adorned with a black headband, wearing a school uniform consisting of a black blazer over a white collar shirt, a purple-tie, a purple skirt, knee-length white socks and Mare Jane hoofwear, her Cutie Mark hidden under her clothes. And she chose to continue appear so even after she ascended, and apart from her crimson-pupiled eyes and unnerving presence, there is literally nothing else to suggest she is anything more, or worse, than a pretty little filly and nothing else to tell her apart [[TheEveryman from any other filly with similar appearances and clothing]]. She apparently learnt from her grandfather early on that it works much better in her favour in many situations if she kept a low profile and [[ObfuscatingStupidity appear as non-threatening as possible]] to deflect fear and suspicion, and the lesson served her well to hide her true nature as the local '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' from anyone or anything which might cause trouble for her because of it.
--> '''Detective Strange Happenings:''' I may not have proof yet, but mark my words, I will find out what you really are.
--> '''Daeva Malefia:''' [[FalseReassurance Rest assured]], detective... [[BlatantLies I am just a pretty little filly]].
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: In one of their adventures/misadventures during Daeva's years attending Wights Abbey School, she and her friends took out a powerful 'Ghoul Lord' who kidnapped their classmates with the intent to feast on their tender flesh, rescuing them and freeing/befriending a Werewolf FeralChild the Ghoul Lord had on a leash to do the kidnappings. Daeva by herself also took out through trickery a centuries-old WickedWitch [[ObviouslyEvil Tenebrous]] [[RedBaron the]] [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Treacherous]] who was [[TheWorfEffect powerful and experienced enough]] to outmatch even Daeva's own power at the time, [[GuileHero fooling her]] into drinking an elixir which [[ForcedTransformation turned her into a rat]] instead of [[ElixirOfLife rejuvenating her]].
* TheDreaded: Daeva's [[CreepyChild unsettling supernatural presence]] could floor Ponies with dread merely in her presence, and she also developed a bit of this reputation at the elementary boarding school she attended, in part because any bully who tried messing with her often end up suffering horrible fates directly or indirectly because of her.
* DrivenToMadness: Spoiled Cabbage, a BarbaricBully who messed with Daeva's friend and threatened Daeva herself, went mad presumably after his life was ruined in four days by the loss of his friends/cronies, his family's business and his parents to various terrible misfortunes, although some supernatural curse may be involved in the last one. Either way, many students suspected it had something to do with Daeva - or rather, Daeva had something to do with it - even if nopony could prove anything.
* DrivenToSuicide: She drove one of her rotten aunts to suicide by exploiting her vanity, spiking her make-up with a toxic compound which permanently ruined her face when applied.
* EnemyMine: While Detective Strange Happenings is out to find out what she is and expose her and she let him keep trying out of both amusement and respect for his dedication (and keep herself sharp evading him), they both joined forces against the dark forces interested in Daeva and her supposed 'dark destiny' when they reared their heads.
* EnfantTerrible: Daeva Malefia appears to be little more than a composed, innocuous and polite pretty Earthpony filly in school uniform (who just happened to be [[CreepyChild somewhat creepy]]) and actively cultivates this image to hide her true nature as an '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]', making it [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959335835 difficult]] for those like Detective Strange Happenings who figured out enough to suspect her darker nature to expose her and her dark deeds.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Of her BigScrewedUpFamily, the only family members she was close to was her distant yet loving (if somewhat clueless) aunt who lived in Wighttown, her dying and [[ObfuscatingStupidity seemingly]] senile paternal grandfather, and her pet snake. Her grandfather was a DotingGrandparent who bonded with her over their shared hatred of their rotten family and extended relatives, and even advised her on how to kill off some of the worst ones. Her pet snake, meanwhile, was one of few animals that weren't [[AnimalsHateHim automatically repulsed by her very presence]]. When her third aunt killed her pet snake out of petty cruelty, she killed her in a fit of rage by [[StaircaseTumble pushing her aunt down the stairs]]. When her grandfather was murdered by her father for not willing his inheritance to him, she killed her father in turn by [[KillItwithFire burning him alive]] without a shred of remorse, [[spoiler:especially after learning that her father and his associates solely intended to groom her into becoming TheAntiChrist for their own malicious ends]].
** While she never met her mother, who died due to 'disturbing complications' [[SelfMadeOrphan Daeva's birth caused]], she seemed to value her memory fondly. The BarbaricBully Foul Breath [[CruelAndUnusualDeath met a horrific end]] at Daeva's hooves when she [[TooDumbToLive took and ripped apart]] a [[TragicKeepsake book which belonged to Daeva's mother]] and desecrated her memory through it.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: There's is something wrong, vicious, cruel and evil with Daeva Malefia from day one, but even she found herself hating her rotten family save for her doting grandfather and a distant loving aunt, and seized the opportunity to act out her hatred when her dark powers awakened so she could protect her grandfather from their machinations and eventually inherit his vast fortune.
* EvilGenius: Daeva is deviously intelligent despite her youth, being described as smarter and more keen-eyed than even her adult relatives at age six, which added to her [[CreepyChild unnerving creepiness]] and helped her greatly in creatively using her dark powers when they awakened to bump off her rotten family.
* {{Expy}}: While generally her own character, she draws inspiration from various AntiChrist characters depicted on media, such as Damien Thorne from ''[[{{Film/TheOmen1976}} The Omen]]''. Her noted rejection of her destiny to bring about great apocalyptic evil makes her an overtly evil version of Adam Young, the reluctant AntiChrist accidentally swapped at birth from ''[[{{Literature/GoodOmens}} Good Omens]]''. Her murder of most of her family and burning down her home at age six is inspired by the actions of Lucius, the AntiChrist VillainProtagonist of the ''[[{{VideoGame/Lucius}} Lucius]]'' videogame series who does the same thing in the first game on orders of his true father Lucifer. Her [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959335835 physical appearance]] is a direct Ponified copy of that assumed by [[https://youngjustice.fandom.com/wiki/Child Child]], a Lord of Chaos from ''"[[{{WesternAnimation/YoungJustice2010}} Young Justice]]"'' who is after Klarion the Witch Boy.
* FireForgedFriends: Daeva's friendship with her [[RagtagBunchOfMisfits misfit classmates]] making up '[[FiveManBand Daeva's Heralds]]' were reinforced by [[NoodleIncident many adventures and misadventures]] both hilarious and harrowing, incredible and supernatural they would have over four years as they ran into and uncovered many of the ill-omened [[IslandOfMystery Isle of Wights]]' mysteries and secrets, turning them into a group of inseparable companions who trust and care for each other through thick and thin.
* HatesTheirParent: With her mother too busy being dead, Daeva grew to hate her father as much as her other rotten relatives for being a heartless bastard who neglected her most of her life and killing her doting grandfather when left out of his inheritance [[spoiler:as well as trying to groom her to fulfill some dark destiny as an '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' with his associates]]. Needless to say, she ultimately had no problems rejecting and killing him.
* GrandparentFavoritism: Her paternal grandfather doted on and spoiled her, having long ago written off the rest of his immediate family, relatives, and descendants as a bunch of vile, greedy, cruel, and unrepentant wastes of space. When he wasn't [[ObfuscatingStupidity pretending to be senile]], he would give her advice on how to kill off the worst of the Malefias. For her part, she genuinely loved her grandfather back, and when he was murdered by her [[ParentalNeglect no-show]] father for willing his entire inheritance to her, she angrily confronted her father and burned him alive in revenge.
* HappilyAdopted: With her DotingGrandparent finally deceased, her father and most of her relatives secretly killed by her own hooves and her home Malefia Manor burnt to the ground, she was placed in the care of her sole surviving loving (if somewhat clueless) aunt in Wightstown, the only other member of her family whom she actually cared for, who was also made in the Malefia patriarch's finalized will to be the trustee of his vast fortune until Daeva herself is old enough to inherit it. Compared to her previous lonely and neglected life surrounded mostly by hostile or uncaring rotten relatives, this is a ''massive'' improvement.
* {{Hellfire}}: As noted under PlayingWithFire, Daeva has dark pyromantic power over hellfire, which she could use to immolate her targets and places, like [[SelfMadeOrphan her father]] and his associates as well as [[WhereIWasBornAndRazed Malefia Manor]].
* HolyBurnsEvil: Due to being an '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' and pretty much evil by default, the presence of holy objects and holy places weakens her and harms her. This causes problems for her [[NoodleIncident when she investigated]] [[CorruptChurch a cabal of corrupt]] and [[PedophilePriest depraved priests]], though she managed to power through it and eventually exposed (and [[PayEvilUntoEvil secretly murder]]) the group.
* KidsAreCruel: Daeva Malefia [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959044292 learnt]] this after she went to an elementary boarding school where she found herself harassed by packs of bullies. Most of them quickly learnt to back off after realizing [[EvilerThanThou how much crueller and more dangerous]] [[TheAntiChrist she]] can be compared to them.
* KillItWithFire: How Daeva Malefia killed her father and his associates after he murdered her grandfather (who is his own father) for choosing Daeva to inherit his vast fortune. Daeva responded by unleashing a storm of hellfire which immolated them all and burnt down Malefia Manor while at it.
* LonelyRichKid: Used to be this up until six years of age, living in Malefia Manor with servants, rotten relatives and one doting grandfather. Then she moved to Wightstown under the care of her remaining loving aunt after her grandfather died, she murdered most of her family and burnt down the manor, where she would attend Wights Abbey School and made some real friends of her age.
* MakeItLookLikeAnAccident:
** Daeva made sure when killing off her rotten family to make them look like accidents, suicides or murders by others in order to throw off suspicion on her.
** A BarbaricBully at the school she eventually went to, Spoiled Cabbage, and his pack messed with Daeva's friend, and even threatened Daeva herself with violence after she foiled their plot to ruin her friend's birthday party. Within four days, his cronies were attacked [[UncertainDoom and carried off]] by a pack of vicious beasts, his family's shady business collapsed, his flankhole parents offed each other in an apparent murder-suicide, and he himself was eventually driven mad and institutionalized in a sanitarium for juveniles. While nopony can prove it, many suspected Daeva had something to do with Spoiled Cabbage's awful fate.
* ManipulativeBastard: Working her devious intellect in conjunction with her dark powers, Daeva arranged the deaths of her rotten family in accidents, suicide and even murder by others, with the full approval and advice of her own paternal grandfather (who also grew to hate his own family as much as she does and wanted her alone to inherit his vast fortune). This was helped by some of her powers which allowed her to be literally this to the minds of others and her surroundings. This later extended to her classmates and teachers in Wights Abbey School, being charismatic and manipulative enough to rise to a position of dominance in every school club and student organization she became member of despite her status as TheDreaded.
* MeaningfulName: Daeva's first name is based on the Zoroastrian dark/evil supernatural entities of the same name, in essence the Persian word for Demon or Devil. Malefia meanwhile is derived from ''maleficus'', which is Latin for causing supernatural harm or destruction. Rather fitting for an '[[AntiChrist Antimessiah]]' whose very malevolent presence causes misfortune and was destined to bring about great evil and calamity to the world.
* MindManipulation: One of the dark powers she acquired was this, first using it to make a maid who witnessed her killing her third aunt forget she saw Daeva push her down the stairs and break her neck. Once she unlocked more of her powers and mastered them, she was able to use this ability more creatively in killing off her rotten family, such as using it to persuade a visiting famous fashion figure give a prestigous role in a grand show to one of her aunt, [[BatmanGambit knowing she would gloat about it to her twin sister]], who would proceed to murder her [[GreenEyedMonster in a fit of jealousy]].
* MindOverMatter: She is noted to possess a form of telekinesis which she also used in her murders of her rotten family as one of her dark powers, incidentally implying she is not a Unicorn and didn't have it as a natural ability.
* MurderInTheFamily: Daeva does this to most of her family, though they were so rotten they had it coming and she did it partly to protect her dying grandfather from them, one of the few members of her family who she cares for and cares for her in turn. Even so, her enthusiasm for doing it and the grisliness of some of her victims' fates [[EveryoneHasStandards creeped out even the]] [[ConditionedToAcceptHorror normally desensitized]] ''"Codex Equus"'' researchers.
--> '''Researcher Mirthful Stone:''' I know they probably deserved what she gave them. But that… that is still pretty evil.
* LuredIntoATrap: When Daeva Malefia (and Detective Strange Happenings) [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959682737 found]] themselves pursued by cultists, Daeva would escape into an abandoned theatre after an hours-long chase, where they seemingly managed to corner and capture her on the theatre's abandoned stage. Then she revealed they had merely captured an ''illusion'' of her, when in reality she was hiding in an audience box of the auditorium overlooking the stage. She had lured them all together onto the stage inside the abandoned theatre building all so she could take them all out in one fell swoop with hellfire, and do it without exposing herself and what she is to the public.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Daeva quickly figured out her doting paternal grandfather was actually just pretending to be senile, which according to him he was forced to do so in order to make himself look harmless, so the rest of the rotten Malefia Family won't decide to murder him early as a threat to their plans to get his fortune. Daeva would learn to do the same at his advise by pretending to be a harmless little filly and doing everything possible to deflect suspicion, which allowed her to remain inconspicuous as both a murderer killing off her relatives and an '[[AntiChrist Antimessiah]]'.
* ParentalNeglect: While her mother is dead (due to 'disturbing complications' which her birth caused), her father was a neglectful bastard who didn't even bother showing up to see her birth or even attend his own wife's funeral, and spent much of Daeva's life out of sight on 'business trips' such that she was essentially raised by the Malefias Family's servants and her paternal grandfather who dotes on her, nor did anything to protect her or his father from her rotten relatives/his rotten siblings and nephews. [[spoiler:This is revealed to be in part due to him busy with some secret occultic operation which involved her and her supposed destiny.]] Regardless, Daeva ultimately decided she wanted nothing to do with him [[spoiler:or her supposed destiny he mentioned]] and [[KillItWithFire burnt him alive]] [[CruelAndUnusualDeath in hellfire]].
* PedophilePriest: In [[NoodleIncident one of her misadventures]] while attending Wights Abbey School, Daeva uncovered a cabal of them within Isle of Wights' synod of the Griffish Meganian Church when she investigated the [[RapeAsDrama reason]] for her choir filly friend Featherfluff's [[BrokenBird timidity]]. She proceeded to expose them and their crimes ([[PayEvilUntoEvil and then secretly disposed of them]]).
* PlayingWithFire: She could play with fire - more specifically, {{hellfire}} as one of her dark powers, and she summoned substantial quantities of it to immolate her father and burn down Malefia Manor after her grandfather died at her father's hooves and she decides she wants nothing to do with him [[spoiler:or the supposed destiny he wants her to be part of]].
* PortentOfDoom: There is a reason why Daeva Malefia earned the epithet of 'the Omen of Evil', as her coming and presence is heralded or marked by many portents of doom. Her birth was heralded by omens such as ship-wrecking unnatural storms and fouling of milk (leading to mass food poisoning) around the Isle of Wights, while at her birth itself plants around her family's estate withered and her mother died from 'disturbing complications', while the doctors and nurses who delivered her all suffered from misfortune and tragic deaths sometime afterwards. Even at six years old her very presence darkened rooms, make her surroundings uncomfortably hot/cold, drives animals to hostility, and floor even grown up Ponies with dread. During her time in Wights Abbey School in Wightstown these portents would increase in number and intensity, from unnatural weather like rains of blood, smogs of decay and hails of cinders, mass dying of fish and animals going rabid, pestilence swarms of vermin like toads, flies, rats, and even hauntings and appearances of Undead and demons all over the Isle of Wights, all signs of her growing power and presence as well as heralding some imminent calamity hinted in Daeva's dark destiny.
* PreMortemOneLiner: Daeva dropped one to Foul Breath - a BarbaricBully who made the mistake of [[BullyingADragon picking on her]], [[BerserkButton destroying her late mother's book]] and [[ThisIsUnforgivable descecrating her memory]] out of pure spite for Daeva - immediately prior to inflicting a CruelAndUnusualDeath to her on the spot.
--> '''Daeva:''' '''''BEGONE.'''''
* RedBaron: The 'Omen of Evil', on account of being an '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' destined to bring about great evil and calamity whose coming and presence is heralded by many evil portents and omens.
* ScrewDestiny: One of the most notable facts about Daeva is that despite being an '[[AntiChrist Antimessiah]]', she wanted nothing to do with her supposed destiny to bring about apocalyptic evil and calamity, intending to forge her own path. [[spoiler:This began as early as her confrontation with her father over him killing her doting grandfather over the family fortune, when he mentioned she was born with a darker destiny and wants to drag her into fulfilling it, which she would reject along with him as her father before immolating him and his associates in hellfire]].
* SelfMadeOrphan: She accidentally killed her own mother at birth with 'disturbing' birth complications, and after giving most of her rotten family their well-deserved deaths killed her neglectful and abusive father last after he killed her grandfather (who is also his father) to get his fortune [[spoiler:and tried to drag his daughter into some occultic operation he had been part of]].
* SerialKiller: The first thing Daeva did after her dark powers awakened was to use them to secretly murder most of her family, having hated most of them for being the rotten people they are and now having the means to do them in and no reason in her eyes not to do it. That she increases and unlocks more of her powers from each evil act was an incidental bonus. This continued even after she bumped off her family as she killed more people who got on her bad side or she felt deserving with her EvilGenius and dark powers, and it's likely by the time her entry was published she had recked up a personal kill count in the hundreds - perhaps even thousands more if we count those who died indirectly through the calamities and omens her very presence and growing power caused.
* SoftSpokenSadist: As part of her CreepyChild aspect, Daeva is unnaturally calm and composed in almost all situations, displaying no more than TranquilFury or quiet mourning when angry or upset. Even when she [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959682737 threatened]] to torture a cultist to get information she wants, she shows little more than a sadistic glint in her eyes even as she drinks deep in the cultist's terror and despair at his agonizing interrogation and imminent demise.
* SoleSurvivor: Apart from a loving aunt in Wightstown who became her adoptive caretaker and trustee to her fortune, Daeva Malefia is the sole survivor of the 'Malefia Family Tragedy' and the clan, although this is a [[SelfMadeOrphan self-inflicted case]] as she murdered most of her clan herself.
* StaircaseTumble: How she killed her cruel and petty third aunt, in rage and revenge for her third aunt's petty killing of Daeva's beloved pet snake, pushing her down a flight of stairs in Malefia Manor and breaking her neck. This act of evil was what awakened her dark powers for the first time.
* {{Transmutation}}: One of her dark powers grant her the ability to transmute elements and compounds from one to another, which she used to [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959045136 trick]] the evil witch Tenebrous the Treacherous into drinking an Elixir of Animal Transformation instead of an Elixir of Renewing Youth that she thought Daeva stole for her from her rival Warrick the Warlock, turning her into a rat instead of restoring her youth. It's [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959044292 implied]] she could [[TakenForGranite turn living creatures into salt statues or otherwise petrify people]] with that power as well.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Daeva is noted since young to have a dark, cruel and vicious nature behind the facade of an innocent if CreepyChild, though she only indulged it with humiliating and demeaning pranks against her rotten relatives and torturing the occasional vermin which snuck into the manor and bothered her. She showed no regret when she accidentally caused her third aunt's death in anger (after said aunt killed her pet snake and laughed in her face about it), and when her dark powers awakened because of it, she decided the best way to use them was to finally act on her hatred for her rotten family and murder most of them.
* WalkingWasteland: even before her ascension, Daeva Malefia's mere birth and presence caused many ill omens and disasters such as ship-wrecking unnatural storms, mass withering of plantlife, food-poisoning fouling of milk, countryside-ravaging pestilent swarms, building-igniting rains of cinders, among other things which caused considerable loss of life and property.
* WhereIWasBornAndRazed: Daeva Malefia was born a member of the Malefia Family in the Malefia estate. She proceeded to kill nearly all of them and burn the whole place to the ground at age six after her true nature awakened and allowed her to act on her hatred for her rotten family.

[[folder:Daeva's Heralds]]
A group of classmates whom Daeva eventually came to genuinely care for as friends, having saw past her social status, excellent grades and disturbing presence as a fellow kindred outcast and gravitated towards her.
----
* BrokenBird: Featherfluff is a timid and quiet Pegasi choir filly because of trauma from being subjected to '[[RapeAsDrama deprave child abuse]]' by corrupt members of the local Griffish Meganian Church's clergy. Daeva would avenge her friend's suffering by exposing and later secretly disposing the [[PedophilePriest cabal of]] [[SinisterMinister corrupt priests]] responsible.
* DidWeJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu: Daeva's Heralds all approached Daeva and became her friends in recognition of her as a kindred outcast, completely unaware that she's the resident '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]'. Daeva for her part [[DefrostingIceQueen come to genuinely reciprocate their friendship]].
* FireForgedFriends: The group are thick as thieves from the [[NoodleIncident various incredible and harrowing adventures/misadventures]] they went through together.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: Daeva and her classmates Gideon, Featherfluff, Stinger and Clear Mind were all something of outcasts among the students of Wights Abbey School, and this commonality the main reason they got together and eventually became FireForgedFriends. Although in their case, the other four [[DefrostingIceQueen approached and befriended Daeva]] first, seeing pass her academic excellence, social status and unsettling presence as a kindred spirit.
* RapeAsDrama: Featherfluff, the Pegasi choir filly, is heavily implied to had been subjected to depraved child abuse by [[SinisterMinister corrupt]] [[PedophilePriest members]] of the local synod of the Griffish Meganian Church, which was the reason for her [[BrokenBird timidity and quietness]].

[[folder:Detective Strange Happenings]]
First introduced in a [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959335835 Drabble]], Strange Happenings is a hardboiled investigator working in the Isle of Wights Police Service who was assigned to investigate the mysterious deaths and disappearances of the Malefia Family members, and kept working to uncover the truth even after his colleagues had gave up despite the damage it does to his reputation and career. He is the one mortal Pony who came closest to uncovering the truth of Daeva's nature and deeds, which both amused her and made her respect him. As events revolving around Daeva's dark destiny unfolded, they found themselves becoming allies in their efforts to uncover the truth behind and defy the portentous fate.
----
* ByTheBookCop: Although he found out enough to realize Daeva is up to no good and has something to do with many disappearances, deaths and dark things going on, he [[TheFettered refuses to act on mere suspicion in dedication to his duty and principles]] until he found the elusive solid proof he needs to expose her, something which Daeva herself pointed out to him as to why she respects him despite their antagonism.
* CassandraBystander: As Daeva pointed out, because of the supernatural nature of all her deeds and due to her efforts to remain inconspicuous and leave no evidence of her true nature, Detective Strange Happenings would inevitably struggle to uncover and expose her, because without solid proof no one would ever believe him, not even if she confesses all her crimes to the Isle of Wights.
* DavidVersusGoliath: Metaphorically speaking. Daeva could had killed him horrifically or make him leave her alone whenever she wants with her dark powers and devious manipulations, but elects not to out of amusement and respect for his dogged determination to uncover the truth about her.
* {{Determinator}}: Despite the threat and damage to his career and reputation, Detective Strange Happenings refuses to give up trying to uncover the truth of the Malefia Family Tragedy, and later to try and find out what Daeva really is.
* DramaticIrony: He has no idea until much later that he's dealing with a supernaturally evil and powerful '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]', while the readers who had been following her entry already know, even if exactly what she and her dark destiny is supposed to be remain unrevealed to everyone in- and out-universe.
* EnemyMine: When Daeva's dark destiny and dark forces interested in bringing it about reared their heads, Daeva and Strange Happenings joined forces to uncover the truth and put a stop to it.
* HardboiledDetective: One of Griffish descent working in the Isle of Wights Police Service, and the only one who came closest to uncovering and exposing Daeva for [[TheAntiChrist what she truly is]].
* HeroAntagonist: He's a good guy dedicated to bringing justice and uncovering the truth, but this puts him in opposition to Daeva in her story.
* OccultDetective: Strange Happenings unintentionally became one when he took up the case to investigate the Malefia Family's demises and found out Daeva is more than what she seemed, especially when Daeva's dark destiny and dark forces interested in her reared their heads and they [[EnemyMine joined forces]] to find out and foil them.
* WorthyOpponent: Daeva considers him to be this after her initial amusement passed, especially since he's a very determined but principled BadassNormal whom she could had easily squash him like a bug or at least made him leave her alone with her dark powers. She refrained from doing anything against him and his investigations against her to keep herself sharp, a decision which worked in both their favour as they eventually allied to uncover the truth of Daeva's dark destiny and the dark forces interested in it, with Detective Strange Happenings becoming a key player and partner in her efforts to [[AntiAntiChrist defy her supposed destiny]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Malefia Family]]
* AristocratsAreEvil: The Malefia family is a noble House with vast wealth and affluence in the Isle, but most of its members have become extremely cruel, selfish, and decadent thanks to their financial/social standing. By the time Daeva is born, most Malefias had been scheming to secure the dying Malefia patriarch's fortune for themselves. And as Daeva discovered, one member, [[spoiler:her own frequently absent father]], is part of an evil cult [[spoiler:that seeks to groom Daeva into fulfilling her 'destiny' as an '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]']]. The only decent members who don't fit the trope are said patriarch, Daeva herself ([[EvenEvilHasStandards to a degree]]), Daeva's [[MissingMom deceased mother]], and a distant yet kind (if somewhat clueless) aunt who wanted nothing to do with her family name.
* AntagonisticOffspring: The Malefia patriarch ends up murdered by his son, Daeva's father, for [[EvilIsPetty willing his vast fortune to his daughter instead of him]]. [[spoiler:It turns out he needed the money to sponser the evil cult that's seeking to groom Daeva into becoming their personal '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]'. When Daeva learns of this, she [[KillItWithFire burns her father and his associates alive]].]]
* AssholeVictim: Most of the Malefias died in [[CruelAndUnusualDeath various brutal ways]] thanks to [[CreepyChild Daeva]], but they were extremely rotten and depraved people who deserved to die.
* BigScrewedUpFamily: The Malefia Family has vast wealth and is apparently quite influential, but had become rotten almost to the core by the time Daeva is born, with most of its members being cruel, heartless, decadent Ponies who cared only for themselves and are scheming against each other and waiting for the family patriarch to hit the bucket (and [[AntagonisticOffspring not above trying to]] [[MurderInTheFamily speed up the process]]) in order to get his vast family fortune. They were so bad that both Daeva and even her grandfather grew to hate most of them, and the latter gave the former his full approval in bumping them off and even gave her advice and support on how to do it.
* {{Cult}}: At least one member, [[spoiler:Daeva's father]], was a member of an evil cult [[spoiler:and want to groom Daeva into fulfilling her dark destiny as an 'Antimessiah' after he found out about her true nature]].
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Most of them eventually suffered this thanks to Daeva, often befitting of the vices and sins they were up to.
* DotingGrandparent: Daeva's paternal grandfather, the Malefia Family patriarch, was one to Daeva and practically raised her, believing she is the only one (other than another aunt in Wightstown) left in the family worth caring for.
* Fiction500: The Malefia Family, and the Malefia patriarch in particular, has vast fortunes which most of the family was keen on getting their hooves on when the dying patriarch finally hit the bucket. Daeva ultimately ends up with it when she bumped off most of her rotten relatives and her grandfather (who approved of her actions) finalized a will to let her have it, entrusting it to her only remaining loving aunt in Wighttown until Daeva is old enough to get the whole sum.
* ItIsBeyondSaving: The Malefia Family grew so rotten and decadent that even its patriarch, Daeva's DotingGrandparent, hated it to the point that he gave his granddaughter his full approval in killing them off when he noticed her murders and even gave her advice on how to do it. Out of all its members, only Daeva and a loving aunt in Wightstown who never cared for her family wealth or status were spared from Daeva and her grandfather's purge.
* MurderInTheFamily: Implied to have occurred even before Daeva began her killing spree, due to its rotten members constantly scheming to inherit their vast wealth as well as out of hatred for one another. Daeva exploited this to off several of the family by playing their vices and squabbles against one another. Daeva eventually killed most of them off.
* ThePurge: Most of the Malefia Family were found wanting by Daeva and her grandfather, and were murdered one by one by Daeva herself with the latter's approval until only Daeva and a distant loving aunt who cared nothing for the family name and wealth remained (her grandfather having been murdered by Daeva's father himself and then killed by Daeva in turn.
* WhoMurderedTheAsshole: Detective Strange Happenings has dedicated himself to investigating the true cause of their deaths and is certain that Daeva Malefia, the family's young scion, is responsible. Most of the Malefias who died are depraved aristocrats who deserved their deaths, and because the nature of their murders is supernatural, Strange Happenings doesn't have any solid evidence to prove Daeva killed them even if she publicly confessed her crimes.

[[folder:Tenebrous the Treacherous]]
----
* AlliterativeName: '''T'''enebrous the '''T'''reacherous.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Notorious for this, to the point of having it as her title, expecting treachery at every turn while mocking those who were fool enough to trust her. Daeva had no problem backstabbing her first despite her agreeing to take her as an apprentice if Daeva gets Tenebrous her ArchEnemy Warrick the Warlock's Elixir of Renewing Youth, pointing out no one in their right mind would had trusted anyone who wears treachery as a badge of pride and [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness likely won't hesitate to betray her the moment Daeva's usefulness ran out]].
* FedToTheBeast: Her final fate. After being turned into a rat by Daeva, Warrick fed her to a cat as soon as possible to make sure his ArchEnemy is gone for good.
* ForcedTransformation: How Daeva got rid of her in an elaborate gambit, using her transmutation powers to secretly turn some of the Elixir of Renewing Youth she stole from Warrick the Warlock into a magical compound which only react in the presence of certain dark magic - like the ones writhing the treacherous witch's body - which turned it into an Elixir of Animal Transformation the moment it went down her gullet. Rather fittingly, she was turned into a rat.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Her [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder treacherous nature]] and [[VainSorceress obsession with restoring her youth]] became her [[FatalFlaw twin undoings]]. Had she been less treacherous and generally rotten, Daeva would likely had went to her for help in mastering her dark powers when Warrick initially turned her down, and Tenebrous' desire to sample of Warrick the Warlock's Elixir of Renewing Youth gave Daeva the opening she needs to trick her into a self-inflicted demise.
* {{Irony}}: Expected treachery at every turn and mocks those who were fool enough to believe she won't betray her, yet she failed to catch Daeva's plan to backstab her by pretending to want to become her apprentice, even going as far as stealing her ArchEnemy Warrick's Elixir of Renewing Youth when asked, only for Daeva to tamper with it to turn Tenebrous into a rat instead of restoring her youth and vitality when she drank it. Daeva explains that Tenebrous probably did expect Daeva to poison the Elixir, but that was too obvious - so Daeva mere added a magical compound which only reacts to her detriment AFTER she drank it, having no reason to suspect it to be anything other than another ingredient Warrick added which she happened to not know of, or simply [[VainSorceress too vain and too desperate to restore her youth]] to consider the possibility.
* ObviouslyEvil: Both her name and epithet makes it very clear she is an evil person who cannot be trusted. Daeva [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this when explaining to Warrick the Warlock that she never has any intention of following through her promise to Tenebrous to get his Elixir of Renewing Youth, pointing out that no sane person would had trusted anyone who wears 'treacherous' as a badge of pride.
* VainSorceress: While capable of prolonging her life and is already centuries old, her methods are less effective than those of her ArchEnemy Warrick the Warlock, and desired his [[ElixirOfLife Elixir of Renewing Youth]] in order to be restored to her full glory.
* WickedWitch: Tenebrous is a treacherous, foul witch who betrays everyone while expecting betrayal at every turn, and is implied to have done many terrible deeds outside her feud with Warrick.
* TheWorfEffect: Due to centuries of experience and accumulated power, Tenebrous is the first being who poised a legitimate challenge to even young Daeva and her power at the time, forcing her to find a different approach to do her in after her initial more direct efforts failed.

[[folder:Vicaress Graceful Love]]
The kind and purehearted vicaress of Wights Abbey church and also Wights Abbey School's theology teacher, Graceful Love is one of the few adults whom Daeva, the resident '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]' genuinely respects, despite being pained in the presence of holy objects, places and individuals.
----
* CoolTeacher: She is the theology teacher of Wights Abbey School as well as a vicaress of the school's chapel, and from what is known about her so far is a generally good and faithful person who cares deeply for the students of Wights Abbey School.
* DramaticIrony: Vicaress Graceful Love isn't aware that Daeva is the local '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]', failing at SpottingTheThread even when Daeva [[HolyBurnsEvil falls ill]] every time she goes near her or the chapel.
* GoodShepherd: She is a good minister of the Griffish Meganian Church who cares deeply for her students and flock, doing everything possible to help those among them in need and disapproving of those from her own clergy who falls short and harms them. As noted, she doesn't judge Daeva and [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959394077 comforts]] her despite her always feeling suspiciously ill whenever she goes near the chapel, promising that the King In Heaven loves everypony - [[{{Irony}} even]] [[{{TheAntiChrist}} Daeva]].
* NiceGuy: A genuinely devoted and genuinely nice vicaress who judges no one and cares for everyone, [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4959394077 even]] Daeva (though she is unaware of her [[TheAntiChrist true nature]]). When Daeva feels ill every time she comes near the chapel or during religious services, she makes sure she's alright and never judges her for it, and assures with 100% conviction that the King In Heaven loves even Daeva.
* VillainRespect: Daeva respects her despite Graceful Love's [[HolyBurnsEvil very presence making her uncomfortable]], as her faith and love for the King In Heaven and for her students and flock are genuine. This apparently became mutual after Daeva exposed a cabal of [[SinisterMinister corrupt]] and [[PedophilePriest depraved]] priests in the local synod.
* SaintlyChurch: She represents everything that's the best of the Griffish Meganian Church, at least on the Isle of Wights.

[[folder:Warrick the Warlock]]
A centuries-old reclusive dark magician living in his lair deep within Blackfriar Moor, the initially aloof Warrick became Daeva's valuable ally and tutor in mastering her dark powers and learning dark arts after Daeva resolved his centuries-old feud with his ArchEnemy, the WickedWitch Tenebrous the Treacherous.
----
* AlliterativeName: '''W'''arrick the '''W'''arlock.
* ArchEnemy: To his rival Tenebrous the Treacherous, a WickedWitch. Daeva getting rid of her for him was what earned him his respect and gratitude for the young '[[TheAntiChrist Antimessiah]]'.
* TheDarkArts: In addition to helping Daeva master her dark powers, he also became her tutor and advisor in anything related to dark magic. Comes with being a Warlock as implied in his title.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Male version. While initially aloof and even angry at Daeva after she stole a sample of his Elixir of Renewing Youth as part of a risky gambit, he softens to Daeva out of gratitude for finally defeating his ArchEnemy Tenebrous the Treacherous where even he cannot and became one of her most valuable allies and tutor in both her dark powers and the dark arts.
* ElixirOfLife: Warrick developed and used an 'Elixir of Renewing Youth' to maintain his own longevity and vitality, allowing him to live for centuries. Getting a sample of it was the main objective of his ArchEnemy Tenebrous the Treacherous as the WickedWitch's own methods to prolong her life are less adequate than his elixir. Daeva exploited this obsession to trick Tenebrous into a self-inflicted demise.
* EvilSorcerer: Implied in his title but also downplayed, as he was not depicted to do anything particularly evil so far, beyond feeding his defeated ArchEnemy to a cat (after Daeva turned her into a rat) and teaching Daeva the dark arts.
* FedToTheBeast: How Warrick finished off Tenebrous after his ArchEnemy was turned into a rat by Daeva, feeding her to a cat [as soon as possible to get rid of his ArchEnemy for good.
* IWorkAlone: Is somewhat reclusive, living alone for centuries in Blackfriar Moor where he conducts his research and squabbles with his ArchEnemy Tenebrous the Treacherous.
* MentorArchetype: Became one to Daeva out of gratitude and respect for her cunning and power after she outwit and got rid of his ArchEnemy Tenebrous the Treacherous for him, helping her master her dark powers and tutoring/advising her in TheDarkArts.
* WhatTheHellHero: Warrick was furious at Daeva initially when she stole a sample of his Elixir of Renewed Youth to give it to his ArchEnemy Tenebrous the Treacherous. He forgave her in gratitude and respect however after Daeva revealed she has no intention to actually help Tenebrous and instead used it in a particularly cunning way to defeat his ArchEnemy for good.

!!!'''Character:''' Villainous
!!!'''Alignment:''' Lawful Evil

!!!'''Faction:''' Kingdom of Trottingahamm, Dark Ages Alliance (formerly), Herself

-> ''"Fortune favours those who deserve to rule."''
\
Queen Galweythel Euthvil Trottingahamm (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Griffish-Isles-Notable-Individuals-966136512 here]]) is the former ruler of the kingdom of Trottingahamm -- now Trottingham -- and was a vain, tyrannical Pegasus whose rule was eventually ended by her oppressed subjects.
----
* BackFromTheDead: She was resurrected by Mistletoe Dreamer centuries after her demise, whereupon she tries to conquer the Griffish Isles again.
* CanonForeigner: She is the in-universe inspiration of the 'Queen of Trottingham' from the ''"[[{{Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicIDWIssue15To16}} Bookworm Arc]]"'' of the ''ComicBook/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicIDW'' series.
* TheCharmer: Is known to be a wily charmer, able to use her wits and beauty to get rival sovereigns under her hooves.
* TheChessmaster: Is known to be a devious schemer on top of being a ManipulativeBitch.
* DisproportionateRetribution: A vain tyrant, she punishes people for even the smallest crimes or for slighting her in any way. Infamously it was a crime to even be more beautiful than she is.
* EvilOverlord: Nailed this to a tee, ruling over her kingdom with an iron hoof and great cruelty during her reign.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: When brought back to life in the Fourth Age as part of the Dark Ages Alliance, she is disgusted by the fact she and others are being co-led by a 'mad commoner' like Mistletoe Dreamer, implying even she thought Mistletoe Dreamer was a real lunatic (and [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain a low-class peon]]). Doesn't stop her from cooperating with the rest of the Dark Ages Alliance.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: Vain, corrupt and powerhungry, her conquests and rule was a reign of terror and tyranny over Griffish Isles in her time, and was so feared and hated by the time she was overthrow and executed that she would be erased from most records.
* HatedByAll: Her vanity, cruelty and tyranny was such that they erased most records of her existence, leaving only fairytale versions of her character and her city of Trottingahamm (modern day Trottingham) as her only legacy.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: She tried to kill her daughter Princess Afina for being more beautiful than she is (and [[TheParagonAlwaysRebels morally objecting to her mother's tyranny]]), which prompted Afina to raise a rebellion which ultimately toppled her reign.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: She learnt many of her spells from a coven of witches who taught her magic out of gratitude for saving one of their members - whom she then betrayed to the authorities when they refused to teach her more than she felt she deserves and looted their lore.
* LifeDrinker: Can zap the vitality of her victims in order to vitalise herself, maintaining her life, power and beauty.
* ManipulativeBitch: She was one between her being a wily charmer, a capable strategist and devious schemer. She had tricked heroes into falling for her traps, tore apart alliances with rumors and propaganda, and turned even her own elite subordinates against each other to preserve her own power from usurpers.
* OurFounder: She was the founder of the city of Trottingham, which would become the modern capital of the Griffish Isles. The first thing she tried to do after she was resurrected was to try and reclaim it as its 'rightful' owner.
* ShockAndAwe: Being a pegasi and a VainSorceress, she often tried to smite her enemies and seditious subjects with lightning, among other spells.
* SquishyWizard: One of her major weaknesses. She doesn't know how to fight and saw physical combat as beneath her, instead relying on her formidable magic and obediant minions to do sort out her opposition.
* UnPerson: Subjected to this following her overthrow and execution due to being so hated by the end of her reign. Little of her existence, let alone legacy, survives in the form of the city of Trottingham itself and the classic fairytale figure 'Queen Trottingham'.
* VainSorceress: Very much this, being both very vain and a formidable black magician. She often uses black magic to preserve her beauty and smite anyone who dare to criticise it or being more beautiful than she is.
