Many of ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}''[='=]s tracks are SugarWiki/{{awesome|Music}} in their own ways, ranging from calm and peaceful to haunting and mysterious. Lena Raine, Kumi Tanioka, and Aaron Cherof have also had a hand in composing the main soundtrack, while Gareth Coker was involved in creating songs for the Legacy Console minigames and the mythology mash-up packs still available in the Bedrock Edition.

!!Music/{{C418}}
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLRwxgccZt0 starting menu's theme]] is very peaceful and is a huge source of nostalgia for older players.
* The song [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/minecraft "Minecraft"]] is a beautiful, peaceful, calm, and relaxing ambient tune that captures the 'lonely' feeling of the game, and also brought many nostalgic players to tears because of its sad melody.
* [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/sweden "Sweden"]] is a slow piano tune that brought many a nostalgic player to tears.
* [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/mice-on-venus "Mice on Venus"]]. Slow, calm music track to listen to while being stressed out.
* Few other video game songs spell "horror ambience" better than [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK6D94UHP6M Disc 13]].
* [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/concrete-halls "Concrete Halls"]] [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/dead-voxel "Dead Voxel"]] [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/warmth "Warmth"]], and [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/ballad-of-the-cats "Ballad of the Cats"]], the original four tracks that play in [[{{Hell}} The Nether]], all have an eerie feel to them, reminding the player, that yes, you are literally standing ''in Hell''. The title of "Ballad of the Cats" may be NightmareRetardant. The song itself [[LyricalDissonance isn't]].
* Exclusive to Creative Mode is [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/aria-math "Aria Math"]], a slow-paced, calming handpan melody that builds in scale as it progresses. It's often considered the anthem of Creative Mode by fans for the ''feeling'' it exudes: pure, unbridled curiosity, with a dash of wonder and a hint of melancholy as it nears its final few seconds.
* The Nether Update introduced three more songs composed by Lena Raine, known for her work on ''{{VideoGame/Celeste}}'': [[https://youtu.be/32jUaAgflXc "So Below"]], [[https://youtu.be/HcvKHX6kK6M "Rubedo"]], and [[https://youtu.be/qHDuedbZYbc "Chrysopoeia"]]. All three retain the eerie feel of the classic tracks, but with a very different style. It also introduces [[https://youtu.be/BTthtlT80Rc Pigstep]], a more lively yet sinister and eerie music disc composed by Lena.
* The two tracks that play in the End have an eerie, yet somewhat calming feeling to them.
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWL2QYMdGKw Boss]]" plays when you are fighting the [[FinalBoss Ender Dragon]]. It's not really what you'd expect from a boss fight, feeling more atmospheric than anything, but it still adds a lot to the fight.
** [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/the-end The End]] will play whenever you are in the dimension following the dragon's defeat. It is a [[DarkReprise reprise of "Minecraft," but with various glitches and distortions]].
* In 2018, three new pieces that can play when the player is underwater were added as part of "Update Aquatic" (Java Edition 1.13, and Bedrock Edition 1.4.0). They all have a serene feeling to them and are all very fitting for when you are in an ocean biome.
** [[https://youtu.be/HvdP87eDasEAM "Axolotl"]] packs in unique chords to radiate an otherworldly feel to ''Minecraft'', specifically its underwater environment, nailing the wonders of everything under the sea.
** [[https://youtu.be/PXV36fgosC4 Dragon Fish]]" is a groovy number with a special melody to capture the ocean's beauty in Minecraft, backed by soothing ambient sounds of the sea.
** [[https://youtu.be/k7JDC34WolI "Shuniji"]] carries hypnotically stunning harmonies and ostinati to encapsulate the atmosphere of the underwater world, whether it be a river or the sea.
* The ending theme, [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/alpha "Alpha"]]. A somber yet hopeful orchestral track to congratulate the player for their accomplishments.
* [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/stal "Stal"]] is a notorious record... in the best way possible. This packs in a smooth swinging jazz piece with unique instruments added to it, from an electric guitar to a recorder. It's enough to groove to the beat, a reward for making a skeleton kill a creeper to get that disc.
* [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/wet-hands "Wet Hands"]] is a very calming piano piece with soothing melodies and rhythms. This can be more than enough to make you nostalgic about the times you played this game, even the last time you did so.
* [[https://c418.bandcamp.com/track/dreiton Dreiton]] is beautiful and serene thanks to the sustained melodies, notes and harmonies which perfectly nail the beauty of Minecraft's dreamy world. It can make you want to continue playing this game just for that reason.

!!Others
* For the 2021 "Caves & Cliffs" update, Lena Raine and Kumi Tanioka once again add depth, mystery and danger in their pieces.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzcwvQ0MDCo "Ancestry"]]. Ominous, otherworldly and melancholy, it makes one want to venture forth, but taking careful steps while doing so.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPM--9Gar60 "Wending"]] delivers atmospheric wonder in the game's world.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-f8pEX1Q1M "Infinite Amethyst"]] is a more subdued, yet wistfully nostalgic piece.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaXlw0OmSOg "Bromeliad"]] by Aaron Cherof creates an enveloping soundscape, with shades of C418, Gareth Coker, and Disasterpeace throughout the song.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu3dshFseaU "Echo in the Wind"]], also by Cherof, is a very relaxing and tranquil piece, with sadness and hope intermingling as the piano plays on.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEgjOyBwIaE "Precipice"]], one of Cherof's contributions to the Tricky Trials update, immediately stood out for sounding completely unlike any other track on the ''Minecraft'' soundtrack. A bombastic, high-energy EDM piece with prominent piano, bell, and even electric guitar, it's drawn favorable comparisons to ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'', ''VideoGame/TerrariaCalamity'', and (for those acquainted with Cherof's other soundtracks) ''VideoGame/CobaltCore''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEJN4okek_0 "Soothing Voyage"]], one of Gareth Coker's themes for the Glide minigame, has an incredibly jubilant and uplifting sound with highs and lows, fitting for a gamemode about swooping up and down throughout twisting courses.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXyzK7FT-JY "Departures"]] is another strong piece for the Glide minigame, sounding reminiscent of Coker's work on ''VideoGame/OriAndTheBlindForest'' and ''VideoGame/OriAndTheWillOfTheWisps''.
* Coker's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBg8GOHVFLU "Aphrodite - Goddess of Love"]] might very well be one of the most emotional and transcendent songs to come out of ''Minecraft'' as a whole, with strings that pull on the heartstrings and somber piano and synth.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3AM_NTEbiQ "Danxia Rainbow Mountains"]] demonstrates Coker's versatility, as he knocks it out of the park, blending traditional Chinese instruments with strings to create something special.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALtSLumMg9s “Folkvangr”]] is a beautiful, wistful piece with strings and a soft chorus of voices, and it ends on a triumphant burst of music. Gareth Coker composed the Norse Mythology Minecraft soundtrack as well. Folkvangr is the place that half of those who died in battle go, and is watched over by Freyja.
