!Original Songs
[[folder:Group singles]]
* Hololive's first official song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kn066hDKjx4 "Shiny Smily Story"]] can be summed up as the hololive anime theme, with vibrant lyrics rejecting the words "give up" and striving towards one's brightest dreams, with a hint of RealitySubtext for the first holomembers' perseverance in reaching out to the world. It even got featured as [[VideoGame/AzurLane the title screen the during the Azur Lane x Hololive collab]], and it's the only song that's reprised for all official live concerts. The song received a [[https://youtu.be/i_Cm8Jbvc-4 remake]] for Hololive Summer 2022, with a new orchestral instrumental and updated vocals courtesy of the many members that had joined since the original was made. A [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG11mcrj1vI hololive ERROR]] version was also released, with the slow, soothing yet eerie piano and violin turning the once happy song into a [[DarkReprise downer]] one, fit for a horror series.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1LVzoAxiKk "Yumemiru Sora e"]] [[labelnote:*]]Translated into "To the Dreaming Sky"[[/labelnote]] is the second official song, performed by all five members of the first generation, who are empowered by everyone's support and promising to be there for you.
* The third official song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE4L1IWLeag "Kirameki Rider☆"]] [[labelnote:*]]Official translation of "キラメキライダー☆"[[/labelnote]], incorporates lyrics that reflect back on hololive's humble beginnings, the path they've carved since then and the promise to keep striving forward. Originally released as a single sung by Sora, Roboco, Fubuki, Aqua and Noel, the song has since then been reprised by different group compositions during the live concerts.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QJD9iekpDQ "Curry Meshi Is a Miracle"]], a collaborative effort between hololive talents Subaru, Pekora and Aqua (under the group name "Spice Love"), instant noodle/curry manufacturer Nissin, and composer Ayato Shinozaki (same man behind "[[Manga/HowHeavyAreTheDumbbellsYouLift Onegai Muscle]]") is an incredibly upbeat song with the sole purpose being the promotion of Curry Meshi, which actually worked to generate sales of the product shortly after the song's release party and live performance by Spice Love. The song was then repurposed into [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swuds0FeoI4 "Hacha-Mecha Miracle"]] outside of Nissin's commercial campaign, with different, but no less energetic lyrics and a faster tempo; Haato also replaces Subaru for the live performance.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRB1G0cKpIk "Peko Miko's Great War"]]. A song by the eternal rivals of Pekora and Miko. They're verbally sparring through the whole song (with a catchy PEKOPEKOPEKOPEKO-MIKOMIKOMIKOMIKO chorus), before briefly reassuring each other that their friendship is even stronger than their rivalry...[[VitriolicBestBuds Before they go back to insulting each other.]]
* [[https://youtu.be/mZ0sJQC8qkE "Can You Do the hololive?"]] introduces every girl in hololive with their own unique greetings. [[https://youtu.be/q4O-JlmrdQA Originally a song by Watame,]] she wanted a version with everyone singing it, and it happened for hololive's Beyond the Stage concert. Fans have likened it to Pokémon's Pokerap. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNW7yHDYldY 2024 Super Expo version]] sticks mainly to names but has a new upbeat chorus claiming that that even though they're growing in numbers, they're nowhere close to being done.
* For Hololive ID's first anniversary, we get the song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp90CrP-s_8 "id:entity voices"]] sung by both the first and second generation members of [=HoloID=]. It is an uplifting and hopeful song about how [=HoloID=] never gave up on reaching their dreams and how they are [[TrueCompanions one identity]] despite their differences. As proof of their status as one of hololive's branches, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfL6n24WGWw they also performed the song in perfectly fluent Japanese]]. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWB2jpd333Q third generation version]], released during the generation's half-year anniversary, is another proof of how much Kaela has improved on her singing.
* The official [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD1t7JHbge0 lofi & chill mix]] puts a different spin on hololive's usual fare with "Midnight" versions of many of their earlier songs and Floral Circlet songs. The tonal shift from the high energy source material to lo-fi is surprisingly well done, standing out as great songs in their own right.
* In what was the first collaboration for an original song between hololive and holostars, Calli and Rikka put together [[https://youtu.be/5HWCMh1ZmzE spiral tones]] in what might be called a challenge to idol culture's sharp division between genders.
* Holostars celebrated its 2nd anniversary with their first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPeMW9KK_zM "Just Follow Stars"]]. Sung by the first three generations of Holostars, the song is about their continued determination to pursue not only their dreams together as a group, but to also bring happiness and hope to their fans.
* As part of hololive's collaboration with Creator/SquareEnix for the ''Deep Insanity'' multimedia project, Kanata and Towa sang the opening song for the nascent franchise's game, ''Asylum''; [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23nEnPOXLEk "madoromi"]], a duet where both the Angel and the Devil push their impressive vocal range to their limits and blend together for an incredible listening experience.
-->Farther and farther you fall\
Leaving behind the ray of light that shines upon you\
All the way to where this clock in reverse leads\
Who will you find there, God or the Devil?
* Holostars' second group original featuring Aruran, Rikka, Roberu, Shien and Oga, [[https://youtu.be/D5_ktqaiaPw "Pentas"]], is a jazzy, smooth and funky song with a surprisingly sexy adult vibe that contrasts their usual image. The fact that it was written by [[Music/{{Vocaloid}} halyosy]] - whose songs Holostars has covered multiple times - is evident by the way each part is arranged to bring out the boys' full potential while also harmonize smoothly. It shows how their vocal ability has developed in preparation for their December live through a healthy amount of rap parts and high notes, and bonus point for a very classy, high-quality MV.
* With only two days left before their first concert, Holostars suddenly ambushed their fans with [[https://youtu.be/Jp71je_aNv4 a short version]] of their next full group original named after the very concert it would be performed the first time in - "JOURNEY to FIND STARS". [[https://youtu.be/a0N1bX_CkcU The full MV]] was released a day after the concert, showing everyone how beautiful, triumphant and perfectly harmonious the song is despite the appearance of some new vocal pairings. It is an emotional reflection of their journey as a whole unit, and there is not a ''single'' solo part to represent that. When one gets to read the inspirational lyrics full of their gratitude for fans and their determination to move towards the next chapter of their future, the waterworks are just turned on full force.
-->The words that touched you\
And the feelings that made you smile\
Keep them with you as we go together\
To the break of day...\
Dear Stars.
* Just before the end of 2021, Watame released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsPSaFbonGo ShishiWata Cooking]] in collaboration with Botan that pushes the running gag of her being easy prey for a lion even further than ever by putting the two on a cooking show. The song is bouncy, catchy, and also downright hilarious, with a very cute MV to boot.
* In January 2022, Ayame, Fubuki, and Mio released a full MV on the main channel called [[https://youtu.be/4Hg0Nchl3HU ONIKEMODANCE]]. With energetic lyrics and bright visual effects, as well as the girls' dancing skills, it is an absolute delight.
* Late in January 2022, the official channel published a [[https://youtu.be/BTeMv4jydEw Medley of 100 Original Hololive Songs]] that was mixed by Music/{{IOSYS}}. Including samples of many songs on this page, it covers almost all generations and all branches of the hololive girls' original music in a seamless medley with smooth transitions.
* In February 2022, Calli and Gura teamed up with Music/DECO27 to create [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aetXqd9B8WE "[Q]",]] a rock song that features both girls' voices to their fullest, plus an amazing MV animated by longtime fan animator Kay Yu and motion graphics by Russian [=VTuber=] riguruma featuring the girls kicking all sorts of ass (with Gura's look heavily influenced by [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry Dante's]] and Calli's look and demeanor inspired by [[Anime/KillLaKill Satsuki]]).
* H-O-L-O-S-T-A-R-S! [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQyXsCV5ZWQ We are the HOLOSTARS!!]] introduces the HOLOSTARS boys from three generations (minus UPROAR!! and TEMPUS) with their own unique greetings and puns on their names akin to "Plasmagic Seasons!" (specifically, before the last chorus) but deeper to include their characterization. It could also be seen as HOLOSTARS' answer to the already awesome "Can You Do the hololive?" and likened to the Franchise/SuperSentai [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Hero Getter]], the latter of which has a similar fast pace to this.
* Suisei, [=AZKi=], Moona and [=IRyS=] come together under the group name "star flower" to sing [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAO-w9stKAU "story time"]], the theme for ''hololive Alternative''[='=]s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRsjv-JKyf second teaser trailer]]. It's an upbeat CallToAdventure wherein all four singers succeed each other's verses with flawless coordination.
* In anticipation of the 2023 holo expo, DECO*27 released their newest hololive collaborative album, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7b4N-L9FVQ holo*27 Originals Vol.1]], with ten original songs sung by fourteen different talents - all of which were also performed live during the 2023 holo expo concert. Of these, four of them are cross-gen duets:
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjtIAuZQN_E "Lip-Sync"]] by Murasaki Shion and La+ Darknesss kicks off the collection with a gritty, almost menacing techno-rock number, with an accompanying music video by popular hololive fan-animator [[https://twitter.com/kanauru?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Kanaruru]] with a heavy cyberpunk aesthetic. Complimenting this is the way the song ''itself'' captures the same vibe, using a combination of J-pop, rap, and heavy metal that really hammers home the ''kusogaki'' aspects of both talents.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dzJS6r2qzU "Sweet Appetite"]] by Gawr Gura and Hakos Baelz is the only English-language number in the collection, but does it deliver - this fast-paced, catchy duet about being crazily in love fits perfectly with the manic, gleeful energy of shork and rrat alike, and its very dance-able techno score includes an intense dubstep section as the bridge. Like "Lip Sync", it also comes with a music video animated by Kanaruru, which makes full use of seafoamboi's famous SuperDeformed models of the two (Smol Gura's in the style of walfiiie, and Smol Bae's in the style of Tsukomo Sana), a candy-land-like LevelAte-style setting, and lots of in-jokes and Easter eggs on top of it, to absolutely adorable effect.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLp3GDZcBCc "Aventure♡Holic"]] puts the girls' ContractualPurity to the test by featuring nine girls[[note]]Choco, Okayu, Marine, Noel, Towa, Lamy, Reine, Fauna, and Kronii[[/note]] partying in a limousine, stripping down to their swimwear, and writhing on a bed. The final dance scene features real women in swimsuits for good measure.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcO9bZavHRg "HOLOTORI Dance!"]] is a catchy technoswing song that's absolutely stuffed with bird puns in English, Japanese, and Indonesian.
* As part of TEMPUS Week, Guild TEMPUS released three songs to celebrate the 1st Anniversary.
** The first is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugj2QnL6QBA "Woven Fates"]], a tender song about companionship through tough times. The song is composed and written by WebVideo/{{LilyPichu}}. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0Qelp1oEfs According to Altare]], Lily asked the boys about their feelings and difficulties which explains the lyrics also being about them trying their best as Holostar members.
** Following that is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBagwiUOkgY "DEAD WORLD"]], the heavy metal yin to "Woven Fates" conveying the tale of an idol's "world" collapsing to dust despite giving their all.
** Then all the TEMPUS members come together for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ArbrTvHxEY "FLEX"]], a BadassBoast in grungy rap form.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ehwhQJ50gs "SHINKIRO"]], sung by Marine and Gura, is pure CityPop goodness, with an MV which heavily resembles an 80s anime music video down to the 4:3 aspect ratio.
* In May 2024, Marine and Kobo released "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUDPjyfmJrs III]]", an ''absurdly'' catchy piece with strong Latin jazz vibes and vocals that rapidly swap between English and Japanese as well as rap and singing (in an excellent showcase for Kobo's vocal variety, breaking away pretty significantly from her normal kusogaki/cutesy image), capped off by an absolutely gorgeous MV with a wide variety of art styles and references to their channels' running gags.

!!!"Floral Circlet" series
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNinCsRhVgU "Halloween Night, Tonight!]] is the first song in a series called "Floral Circlet" and already shows a lot of promise. It features four of the girls who would be most likely associated with the holiday (Rushia, Choco, Mel and Shion) as well as fantastic instrumentation to give the song a very cute but still thematic feeling of a Halloween party.
* The second song in the series, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyqMKCYBTzM "BLUE CLAPPER"]], is a groovy EDM performance by the four members of the 5th Generation (Botan, Lamy, Polka and Nene). After such a banger of a song, the series would end up releasing eight more songs each week.
* The third song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UujTImfKIY "Blooming Blossoms Fill the Air"]][[labelnote:*]]Official translation of "Hyakka Ryouran Hanafubuki", or "百花繚乱花吹雪"[[/labelnote]], breaks out several traditional Japanese instruments while delivering a frantic beat. Fubuki, Ayame and Mio provide the vocals for this smooth J-rock song. Later in 2021 as a preview to the Blu-Ray release of Bloom, the main channel also released a [[https://youtu.be/epdhy8MBje8 fully animated version.]]
* The fourth song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32b9lqy7vJ0 "Ad Truck of Supremacy"]] [[labelnote:*]]Official translation of "SHIJOSHUGI ADTRUCK", or "至上主義アドトラック"[[/labelnote]], features Matsuri, Mio and Flare as they praise the usefulness of an ad truck in spite of all the criticism towards it. And ten months later, Kanata and Nene would follow suit with a mystery cover revealed to be [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK8ajwVjBEI that very same song]].
* The fifth song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS4brKpD5qE "Candy-Go-Round"]], is a cute and chipper piece featuring a quintet comprising of Roboco, Mel, [=AkiRose=], Aqua and Flare.
* The sixth song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfW7IEFOejA "DAILY DIARY"]], brings out the liveliness of the idols in full force, with upbeat lyrics reflecting a Vtuber's love for exploring new content. If the song strikes you as similar to ''Franchise/TheIdolmaster''[='=]s "GO MY WAY!!", this is no coincidence, as it's composed and arranged by Arte Refact, the group behind several ''[=iDOLM@STER=]'' songs. It is performed by the unlikely quintet of Matsuri, Subaru, Miko, Marine and Noel.
-->Playing my life through, streaming all things new!\
DAILY DIARY, from me to you!
* The seventh song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lFmjbdOTyc "Suspect"]], is a seductive electro swing piece putting in the spotlight Roboco, [=AkiRose=] and Ayame.
* If "DAILY DIARY" was the light side of the Vtuber industry, then the eight song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiJBEm9v5Nw "STARDUST SONG"]], is its dark side, with lyrics poking at the Vtubers' insecurities and desire to be their own true selves expressing their real emotions, free from peer pressure. It's aptly performed by Flare, Towa and Kanata; three of the idols with the deepest and most powerful vocal range in the main roster.
-->I won't be just another cute face\
I'll raise my voice and sing this stardust song!
* The ninth song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYIraB3_-6U "Dreaming Days"]], reasserts the holomembers' determination to become the idols that put a smile on everyone's faces, all while acknowledging rivalries and relishing at the resulting competition. It is performed by Fubuki, Matsuri, Shion, Ayame, Choco, Subaru, Pekora, Marine and Kanata.
-->When we sprint toward our goal, it'll be fantastic\
We'll make our hopes bloom into our future\
Take it one step at a time and aim for the top
* The tenth and final entry, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CMUI36gXtY "AsuiroClearSky"]], is a pledge to work together towards a brighter future, bringing along all emotions, good and bad. It's sung by Roboco, Mel, [=AkiRose=], Matsuri, Aqua, Mio, Miko, Flare and Towa.

!!!"Bouquet" album
* While the album reprises all the songs from the "Floral Circlet" series plus the three classics ("Shiny Smily Story", "Yumemiru Sora e" and "Kirameki Rider☆ "), a new song added itself at the very end of the list: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08zYuyX3mRo "Precious Photographs"]] [[labelnote:*]]Translated from "大切フォトグラフ"[[/labelnote]], performed by Fubuki, Aqua, Marine, Kanata and Nene. It's a bittersweet melody about wanting to create as many happy memories as possible before the inevitable departures happen. This hit so much harder once Coco's graduation came to pass, as the song perfectly describes the emotions felt when remembering her.
-->I wish for lives filled with smiles and happiness\
For all the people I love, as cliched as it may sound\
Thank you for always being there\
We'll be together forevermore\
Holding hands, saying cheese, and singing our hearts out\
In this moment that will live forever in our hearts.

[[folder:Original Generation]]
!!Roboco
* [[https://youtu.be/5A_RqpENxvg Kotonoha]] [[note]]transliterated from コトノハ[[/note]] is a gently relaxing experience that well-suits Roboco's soothing singing voice.

!!Sora Tokino
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRl9SreAhG4 "Chu Chu Lu"]] is a cute, catchy pop tune that shows off the fun, wholesome and upbeat idol image that Sora epitomizes as one of the last vestiges of Yagoo's dream.

!!Miko Sakura
* Miko's fourth original single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZVrn4lHLqw "Kagetsu no Yume"]], is an uplifting, high-intensity J-trance song mixed by none other than Hiro Kanzaki (Luna's illustrator and a well-known trance composer, on top of being ''Literature/EromangaSensei''[='=]s illustrator). Originally unveiled during Miko's third anniversary 3D concert, the official MV adds gorgeous manga-like images of cherry blossoms fluttering under the full moon. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4n5xyjpFfI The full song]] adds trance beats before and after the MV version in true Kanzaki mixing fashion, while the 3rd fest rendition, due to the use of a live band to perform the music, also includes additional guitar riffs.

!!Suisei Hoshimachi
As one of hololive's longest-running vocalists, Suisei's original music is unsurprisingly really good.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cqV5BKJHyk "comet"]] is an upbeat J-pop piece that knows exactly when to tone itself down and let Suisei's singing voice carry the song.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLak0dxBKpM "天球、彗星は夜を跨いで"]][[note]]Officially translated as "Her Trail on the Celestial Sphere"[[/note]] is a somber alternative rock song by [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDcL8RXDlhxvKDHVkb_nFzg Tatsuya Kitani]] that blends Suisei's vocals, guitar, piano and synth all in one compelling package.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQHVGXdcqEQ "NEXT COLOR PLANET"]] is a catchy jazz dance tune by Arte Refact[[note]]A doujin circle most known for their ''Franchise/TouhouProject'' music arrangements and also known for their music contributions for ''VideoGame/EnsembleStars'', ''VideoGame/TheIdolmaster'', ''Anime/LoveLive'' and ''VideoGame/PriPara''.[[/note]] with Suisei topping off the song with deep, powerful vocals.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKKar5SS29E "GHOST"]] is characterized by its power metal feel and deep lyrics acknowledging the transient feeling most [=VTubers=] have, as well as yearning to become mainstream and dismissing people who hate [=VTubers=]. Jerod from WebVideo/The8BitDrummer also praised the drumwork that went into this composition, with the insane variation of beats catching him off guard; considering he's extremely keen when it comes to rhythm patterns, that's saying something.
* In preparation for the Bushiroad-sponsored "STELLAR into the GALAXY" live concert on October 21, 2021 (a first for Suisei), the Comet has been working on a new wave of original songs to complement her established ones.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfDYRy17CBY "Bluerose"]] is the first of three successive singles released mid-2021, and it's a joyful and relaxing pop number. The song's title is also carefully chosen [[note]]In the language of flowers, a blue rose once denoted attaining the impossible, but is nowadays used for achieving your dreams.[[/note]] given Suisei is approaching the long-awaited 1 million subscribers milestone.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqT6cHCT1TE "Kakero"]][[note]]"駆けろ", translating to "Run"[[/note]], the second of the 2021 midsummer originals, rocks out even harder than "GHOST", praising humanity's ability to adapt even in an increasingly drab world and hoping to meet them again when the rain ends. Not only does the song start out very strong thanks to its guitar riffs and drum beats, but it retains its power throughout, with Suisei's passionate vocals carrying perfectly.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm87JgTx2Ao "Selfish Dazzling"]] is another majestic jazz song composed by Arte Refact, with Suisei joining in on the fun with a highly choregraphed dance MV.
* Suisei would go on to collaborate with Taku Inoue in singing for the latter's debut composition on [=YouTube=], a groovy electronic pop song in the form of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYFciXBcXIQ "3:12"]]. The relaxing beats and the music video's incredible cinematography easily take the cake, and the song's lyrics reflect the faraway dream of returning to normalcy in the wake of the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic. According to an interview with Inoue, Suisei sent the recording back just a day after the composition was finished, and he was so impressed by it that he thought it was basically the final version.
* On September 29, 2021, Suisei released her first album, "Still Still Stellar". with the physical copies predictably going out of stocks within hours and the digital sales easily securing it a the top spot on the weekly Oricon chart and Billboard JAPAN. On top of incorporating all of her previous originals, this album belts out several more songs with their own quirks.
** The album's flagship song is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a51VH9BYzZA "Stellar Stellar"]]. Unlike the previous songs which all held a feeling of yearning for stardom, this one has Suisei firmly assert her place as an established artist. Taku Inoue returns from "3:12" for the production of this grandiose performance. "Stellar Stellar" proved to be popular enough to be her choice song for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAsRtnbDs-0 her appearance]] on ''THE FIRST TAKE'', making her the first VirtualYoutuber to perform on the prestigious channel.
--->So I say, what I wanted to be was never\
A Cinderella who waits forever\
But the prince who goes and gets things done\
Just like the shooting star I have become
** The ninth track on the album, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQRk5OFsGXo "Andromeda"]], is a rock ballad narrating the desire to be the shining star that lights the darkness and sheds away all negative feelings.
** The eleventh track, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rth4htqJ1ZQ "Starry Jet"]], is a bombastic BigBand number surpassing all previous songs in the sheer upbeatness.
* As part of her fourth anniversary, Suisei's 3D live concert ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDHf9Tmdvpk Selfish of a Rough Stone]]'' featured the two new original songs of her fourth EP, one which was made in collaboration with Calli.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBuHQeL-OO8 "TEMPLATE"]], once again composed by Tatsuya Kitani, is a dark, thought-provoking inquiry on the viewer's interpretation of what is right and wrong, with the associated MV depicting a conflict between two obsessed fans that Suisei won't ever notice nor care about.
** By 2022, Suisei and Calli are no longer strangers to performing a fast-paced song composed by Giga, so [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88QKF3yuiyI "Wicked"]] comes out in full force with what both talents do best; Calli outdoes herself with fiery bars belted out at breakneck speed, while Suisei follows suit with with thunderous choruses. It's such a terrific duet that it became a mainstay whenever the two appear together at live performances, be it Suisei's "Selfish of a Rough Stone" concert, Calli's birthday concert or [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-3kPLHNn5I the "New Underworld Order" concert]].
* In late March 2022, Suisei debuted a new partnership with Taku Inoue in the form of the Midnight Grand Orchestra unit, with the first song under the label called [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjQugctqXt0 "「SOS」"]]. It's a futuristic and entrancing techno song accompanied by a gorgeous {{Cyberpunk}}-flavoured MV.
* On January 25, 2023, Suisei released her second album, ''Specter''. All the songs on the album deserve to be on this page, but here are some noteworthy examples:
** [[https://youtu.be/r1ZVPTCOCSQ Blazing Hot Pure Heart]], an intense J-Rock number that really shows how much power Suisei can put into her voice, all framed with a solid baseline and some ear-meltingly good guitarwork.
** Then there's the album's flagship song [[https://youtu.be/qnOMDlEIzKI Michizure]], a bombastic jazz fusion song with lyrics about how, even though the world is full of pain and worry, the joyful moments make it all worthwhile and you should keep moving forward. There's a good reason Suisei chose at as her second song to perform on THE FIRST TAKE!
** [[https://youtu.be/hD0TxCx5Ew0 TRUE GIRL SHOW]], a stylish and sassy song that can best be described as nearly 4 minutes of Suisei going absolutely ''wild'' with her voice, with amazing results.
* "Stellar Stellar" was referenced in March 2024's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZP5eqm4JqM BIBBIDIBA]], an insanely catchy track with a mixed-media video in which Suisei makes true on her word of not wanting to be a Cinderella, albeit playing as one as an actress who gets increasingly frustrated at the production's jerkass director before storming off to do her own thing. It quickly broke YouTube's top 100 music videos, leading to several dance challenges posted by fellow holomems.

!![=AZKi=]
* [=AZKi's=] 8th song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VQx0MtsvSQ "Inochi"]] is a catchy yet somber, deep, and emotional tune about life and how fleeting it is.
* In early September 2021, [=AZKi=] released an animated MV of [[https://youtu.be/Lt7KxY8V4jM フェリシア]] in anticipation of her 8th Live, "Rewind and Reunion."

[[folder:Generation 1]]
!!As a generational unit
* In celebration of Gen. 1's third anniversary on May 14, 2021, its members (Mel, Fubuki, Matsuri, Aki and Haato) released an original song on the main hololive channel; the insanely chipper [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCJTJX1kXe4 "Plasmagic Seasons!"]], whose lyrics are an appreciation of the continued support for the first generation, while also containing puns on the talents' names.
-->Shine! Bright! Bright! Light up, future!\
We're the brightest stars there are!\
That's right! Keep that light shining!\
The spotlight will never go out.

!!Fubuki Shirakami
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFgUluV_00s "Say!Fanfare!"]] is Fubuki's uplifting anthem, brimming with energy that motivates you into pushing yourself to your fullest extent.
* After over two years without an original solo, Fubuki comes out in full force with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qCdcduWmgQ "KINGWORLD"]], bringing her fast-paced vocals to the upbeat 8-bit mix. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVaQpUUAzik The associated MV]] features an epic clash between her and Kurokami, condensed in a RPG-styled narrative.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2hbKnXIa_c "KONKON Beats"]], released during Fubuki's 2022 birthday, features excellent guitar play in a rocky piece that's about having fun with her fanbase.

!!Aki Rosenthal
* Aki's original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii7rtNaGlls "Shallys",]] is a fantasy-styled ballad with lyrics written using her own original ConLang depicting the native language of her half-elf backstory. Sora, Suisei and a number of other members list it among their favorite songs.

!!Haato Akai (Haachama)
* [[https://youtu.be/A9HY4DsRTCg 【 REDHEART 】]] is her first single original, being a peppy, energetic love song showcasing Haachama's vocal prowess in singing English.
* [[https://youtu.be/9mj2QJE-UOI Infinity]] is her 2st single original, a somber, reflective piece that focuses on the then-current Haachama-Akai Haato conflict/reunion, taking on themes of identity and selfhood.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 2]]
!!Aqua Minato
* Aqua's second original song, "#Aquairo Palette", is a catchy love song about her gratefulness to her fans and the need to support each other even through rough times. For her birthday on December 1st 2020, Aqua also released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bnaBnd4kyU the full music video]]. On her third anniversary live concert, Aqua performed an English version for it, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ0Nhf9wiy8 subsequently digitally releasing it as a single]] on September 25, 2021.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyDsoAIYtnA This remix]] takes the familiar melody to the next level by adding fire to it, especially in the latter bit where the tempo is turned up to around 200 BPM.

!!Ayame Nakiri
* After two years without her own solo original song, Ayame revealed [[https://youtu.be/ECkxzFgbJqQ Yoi no Yo Yoi!]][[note]]Transliterated from 宵の余、良い![[/note]], an energetic and adorable song that incorporates many references to both herself and her streams.

!!Choco Yuzuki
* Her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlELf83gpBw "ChocoLove"]], originally unveiled during her third debut anniversary on September 4, 2021. It's a catchy and heartwarming listen that makes you appreciate just how much Choco's singing has improved since her debut.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:GAMERS]]
!!Mio Ookami
* At the very end of her 2021 birthday 3D concert, Mio introduced her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPm9T622OX0 "Howling"]]. It's an epic ballad showcasing Mio's more passionate side composed by [[https://myanimelist.net/people/18433/ZAQ ZAQ]] (who worked on several well known anime theme songs of TheNewTens), accompanied by a gorgeous MV.
* "Howling" is not the only original song Mio released during her 2021 birthday, as she also included the overly chaotic and cute [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr9iLdXK9ik "わんわんわおーん / さしみお"]] [[note]]Officially translated as "Bowwow Ahwoooooo"[[/note]], where she mostly repeats the Japanese sound for barking; the latter segment of the original adds Subaru and Okayu to the vocals for added chaos.

!!Okayu Nekomata
* In contrast to the often dark tone of her covers, Okayu's first original song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6P_m6adkgc Mogu Mogu Yummy]] is a cheerful and relaxed song in which she celebrates her love of food accompanied with an absurdly cute video of various pixeled versions of Okayu delightedly chowing down on every piece of food in sight.
* In September 2022 Okayu released her first album ''Poisonya Syndrome'', compiling her previous singles (Mogu Mogu Yummy, DETABARENEKO, Prince of Poison, Adieu, Salauds and Swallow the Venom) with new tracks, most notably the Music/FakeType collab songs "Grr Grr Tummy" and the Okakoro duet "ORANGE PARADE".

!!Korone Inugami
* In celebration of her debut anniversary on April 13, 2021, Korone released her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nks1I1sY53I "Saikyo Tensai ★ Wonderful ♥ World of Korone"]] [[labelnote:*]]Official translation from "ころねの最凶天災わんだふぉーわーるど", with the double meaning of "Korone's worst natural disaster"[[/labelnote]]. True to the chaotic and flimsy nature of her streams, the 8-bit inspired song chronicles Korone's journey from her timid beginnings to the FountainOfMemes she has become, acknowledging her GratuitousEnglish and her love for retro games in the passing.
* Korone's anniversary in 2022 would see her release [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLNTAMY1NZA Doggy God's Street]], an [[GenreMashup electro-swing rap]] song in collaboration with Music/FakeType. It shows off both her increasing musical skills and her increased confidence, with her switching from Japanese to GratuitousEnglish and back again with almost breathtaking ease as she raps.
* Put your hands up for [[https://youtu.be/UPSSUSLlwjY Wonky Monkey]], a bombastic dance track made in collaboration with Music/{{Vocaloid}} composer Giga-P, whose bass-heavy dubstep combine with the [[DerangedAnimation surreal MV]] and [[LyricalDissonance surprisingly existential lyrics]] to make for a deliciously trippy experience.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 3/Fantasy]]
!!As a generational unit
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F61eDAXtmnw "Interact Fantasia"]], composed by Ren Moritomo (who also did "Precious Photographs" and "Plasmagic Seasons!"), is the generation's sole single with all five members (when you take into account Rushia's unfortunate termination in early 2022). It's a dashing adventure call cherishing the bonds between the Fantasy members and thanking the audience for continuously supporting them as their dreams flourish.
-->Our hearts give the signal, it's time to go\
The future of our dreams is waiting for us\
I couldn't do it without you, but here you are\
So let's bring our worlds together\
This journey will never end

!!Pekora Usada
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdOzGOkaK8M "Peko Random Brain!"]], a peppy song about how you should always stay optimistic and laugh with all your might, even if you're scatterbrained. Thanks to the animation accompanying it, it's easy to mistake the song for the opening credits of an actual comedy anime.

!!Rushia Uruha
* Rushia's first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVGTUkMBUXI "Iris"]], is a sweet and serene lullaby where Rushia voices her desire to dispel her loneliness as well as the listener's.

!!Flare Shiranui
* On April 2, 2021, Flare celebrated her birthday with not just a 3D concert, but the release of her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC4jHrVLaME "Smile & Go!!"]]. Fun and uplifting, the song's melodies are full of energy just like Flare's happy-go-lucky personality.

!!Noel Shirogane
* Taking advantage of her own unique style of singing, Noel released her first original [[https://youtu.be/LMYIam2RFkg Homenobi]] [[note]]transliterated from ほめのび[[/note]]. Taken together with its charming depictions of Noel and her hamster, it offers a truly {{Adorkable}} experience.

!!Marine Houshou
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7VK3pne8N4 "Ahoy! We Are The Houshou Pirates!"]] is Marine's first original song, and manages to portray her energetic attitude perfectly. The song has enough slower light moments to help emphasize the impact of the more bombastic sections, making the song give off the air of an opening to a shonen anime about pirates. This also is a triumph for Marine herself as a ''Franchise/TouhouProject'' fan, as she worked with {{Music/IOSYS}} to create it.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VIeV_LZXHM "Unison"]]'s almost-percussion-only instrumentation and Marine's poem-like singing make for a highly unusual yet nonetheless compelling song, with some fans regarding it as [[AvantGardeMusic something truly unique]] amongst hololive's usual fare.
* Her third original song, [[https://youtu.be/A6xmmMuNUUs "Marine Set Sail!!"]], is a dashing pirate ballad that, unlike the light-hearted tone of "Ahoy! We Are The Houshou Pirates!", takes a more epic angle on her {{kayfabe}} of being APirate400YearsTooLate rallying her newfound crew for adventure, with an orchestral backing track conducted by the legendary anime composer Kōhei Tanaka (best known for his work on the anime adaption of ''Manga/OnePiece'', fittingly enough). Originally unveiled at ''Link Your Wish'', [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLGCYbnYhPg&t=55m49s then reprised on the "Marine Set Sail!! Concert!!" 3D live]], Marine also released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_hUpHUTJwQ a short MV]] with ludicrous production quality from Creator/StudioPierrot [[note]]The MV was about four times as expensive as "Unison", just when Marine ''thought'' "Unison" was her most expensive song ever[[/note]] to go with it.
* Her fourth original, [[https://youtu.be/vV-5W7SFHDc "I'm Your Treasure Box"]], is a high-tempo [=EDM=]/jazz fusion song that does an excellent job at showing off Marine's more [[FemmeFatale seductive]] side through its lyrics and lewd MV, topped off with a catchy instrumental similar to those from Creator/TobyFox (which, considering the credited U.Z. INU name, may or may not be actually him).
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 4]]
!!As a generational unit
* When Kanata said she would make a Gen. 4 original song before Coco graduates, she meant it; behold, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7cpjmkc1Rw "Kiseki knot"]], a powerful song about the miracle that brought the five quirky members of Generation 4 together and will make you remember their brilliance long after they're gone, with the heartfelt promise that they'll meet you again. Extra credit goes to Kanata's ingenuous composition for including puns on each member's name à la "Plasmagic Seasons!", as well as the thanks to all five fandoms for making this song a reality.
-->Can you hear my voice? It's from me to you\
Go beyond the scribbles on the blackboard and the falling curtain of sakura\
And hear our voices always\
On happy days, on fun days\
On sad days, and on days of parting\
Our five colors come together to draw a miracle star\
And on this sparkling stage, let's make a promise that someday, in this place\
We will meet again.

!!Coco Kiryu
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khRDaLiyGdA "Weather Hackers"]] is a song that perfectly blends Coco's vulgar sense of humor and her love for making people smile. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT__We9HFYU There's also a version with much more safe-for-work and upbeat lyrics]] that Coco sang during the final moments of her graduation day.

!!Kanata Amane
* Kanata's first original song, [[https://youtu.be/watch?v=mcQs0iQE0bs "Tokusha-Seizon Wonder-la-der!!"]], is a catchy upbeat song that introduces Kanata to the audience. The song showcases the fun and joy she's experienced in her hololive journey, and the associated MV is vivid and chock-full of {{Easter Egg}}s.

!!Watame Tsunomaki
* Watame quickly establishes herself as one of the more musically inclined members since her debut, with her surprisingly strong voice for such a soft, feminine speaking tone.
** Her musical ability was shown during her [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25wGzLctaj0 3D debut]] which included multiple songs, and the entire second half of the debut took the form of a live concert in front of her headbanging "Member Sheep".
** While her [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB1Jj5YB1Zo untitled Rap]] is sadly short, it's amazingly well done with creative lyrics that incorporate all the names of the 4th generation, herself included. Now with Watame's extended [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6UR4l-yMsc Loud version]].
** Her first original single is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8OjkcLzYCM "Ai-mai Chocolate"]], a fast-paced romantic pop song that she also performed live during her 3D debut live stream. Lyrics aside, you'll probably be addicted to the recurring "Wow oh! Wow oh! oh!" throughout the song.
** As part of her one-year anniversary, she released her second original single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGun2cWbPEM "Cloudy Sheep"]]; a collab with Calliope that brings reality to an April Fool's joke eight months prior.
* With the graduation of her genmate Coco and an offer by Bushiroad to perform live at Zepp Tokyo on October 12, 2021, Watame has been on a roll when it comes to pushing out an even bigger repertoire of original songs, determined to make her dream of performing live a reality.
** The day before Coco's graduation, Watame released her third original single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l44ih2KWJAo "Melody For You"]]. It's a rocky love song that packs a punch, and the inclusion of her gen-mates' names in the lyrics shows just how precious and instrumental they have become to her and her musical composition.
--->Should the path that lies ahead be a thorny and stormy one\
I'll still be with you, singing this melody\
Echoing far and wide, from the heart\
Toward eternity, resonating forevermore this melody.
** Her fourth single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3rZm2cN5ZY "sweet night, sweet time…"]], is a fluffy lullaby for those looking for a comfy song to sleep to. Bonus points for having Anya's illustrator join in the making of the MV's art!
** The fifth single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndNWnIAdhZo "Ode to an Eternal Future"]], is an emotional rock ballad wherein Watame finds the drive to make a path forward in the vast universe and reach out for the future she always wanted.
** The seventh original, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_JvgkZ04t0 "mayday, mayday"]], is a frantic hard rock roller coaster of emotions that reasserts Watame's incredible versatility.
** With the help of the Mirai Kodai Orchestra (best known for their composition of ''VideoGame/GrimmsNotes''[='=]s soundtrack), Watame released her eighth original, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Mhcma0L6hY "Zero no Ashiato"]]. It's a soothing fantasy ballad in a similar vein to [=AkiRose=]'s "Shallys", telling us of the dearness of the memories of each other's company in a transient world.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KsXVs8Vg7U "Everlasting Soul"]] is a powerful pop song worthy of an action anime series, composed by hotaru and Tom-[=H@ck=] of MYTH & ROID fame. Considering Watame is a big fan of the group, this is yet another triumph for her since she gets to work with them on an awesome song.
** The final original before the October solo live, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMZNjFkJK7E "RAINBOW"]], is a catchy pop song composed by famed Music/{{Vocaloid}} music producer DECO*27. It's also accompanied by a MV blending Watame's 3D model with real life shots.
--->I want to sing with my head held high always\
Even when I'm hurting and crying\
I can put on a brave face, I'll be all right\
With you by my side, I can do this\
Wiping away the tears and hate\
I can summon a rainbow, small as it may be\
I know that tomorrow will be a new day\
I can shine brighter if I want to.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VGkeUaX-zk "My song"]], originally unveiled at the Zepp Tokyo Live and sung once again during [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV8rLERH6yU&t=51m29s Watame's second debut anniversary]], acknowledges the impostor syndrome many suffer from (including herself), but at the same time assures us that she will keep fighting on thanks to all the support she received. Having a fully animated MV that puts some anime studios to shame helps, too. Better yet, "My song" [[https://old.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/s0ocvm/watames_my_song_used_as_the_opening_for_music/ got picked up by Japan's national TV]] as January 2022's opening theme for the music program ''MusicるTV''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks2UnT4Nzcs "FINS",]] which released in 2023 on [[MeaningfulReleaseDate Watame's birthday, June 6th,]] is a beautifully powerful and emotional song about Watame's efforts to chase her dreams and make them a reality, made all the more poignant as the song was a collaborative effort between herself and her favorite rock band, Porno Graffitti - who had ''never'' collaborated with anyone in their 30 years of existence prior to working with Watame. It's perhaps her greatest achievement in her entire career.

!!Towa Tokoyami
* Towa's first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud73fm4Uoq0 "Palette",]] is an emotionally moving power ballad that showcases her deep and powerful vocals, accompanied by a music video portraying her character before and after joining hololive. Not only are the song's lyrics written by Towa herself, but the music was composed by niki, the same person responsible for the original renditions of "brilliant" and "ERROR", both songs previously covered marvelously by Towa.
* February 7th, 2022 saw the release of Towa's first mini-album, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm0KHnGOsyM "Scream"]]. In this EP, five new original songs add themselves to "palette", further displaying Towa's musical prowess.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zc05le75CfI "FACT"]], is a display of the little devil's devious and domineering side, playfully singing along niki's heavy techno composition.
--->I will make you understand the name that I will carve in the darkness of eternity\
Come on, let me hear you scream\
Stop dreaming\
Let me hear it
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6AmCNdwT7E "born to be real"]] is an intense power metal song about finding purpose in a confusing world and wouldn't sound out of place in ''Franchise/KamenRider''. Towa chose this song for her solo bout in the ''Link Your Wish'' paid concert.
--->Those who live are those who fight.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfOx00AOfKo "Raimei"]], originally unveiled during Towa's 2022 birthday concert, is another passionate power ballad with heavy emphasis on rock instruments. Accompanied with a vivid MV about her relationship with her fans, the song is a great addition to Towa's collection of bangers.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBmss54l5zc "U.F.O. - U Feel Overjoyed! -"]] is MundaneMadeAwesome due to being a ProductPlacement about Nissin's U.F.O. instant yakisoba, played to the tune of a metal piece with lyrics goading you into trying out the noodles.

!!Luna Himemori
* To celebrate her 2021 birthday, Luna released her first original, [[https://youtu.be/LaZIY8bYf-k Absolute Loyalty♡Nanonanora!]]. The song is best described as “what if [[Music/{{Vocaloid}} Luka Luka Night Fever]] was on a sugar rush”, combining a fun and high-energy instrumental with Luna’s adorable vocals for a very cute and funny song that perfectly encapsulates everyone’s favourite princess.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 5]]
!!Nene Momosuzu
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P5oggg7aSE "Nenenenenenenene! Daibakusou"]]. If you want an unashamedly upbeat pop song, then this is for you.

!!Botan Shishiro
* In conjunction with her first anniversary since her debut, Botan released her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npVP58NvdQ8 "Lioness' Pride"]]. It's a sensational dubstep track by Music/{{Camellia}} with hard drops meshing well with Botan's soft voice.

!!Polka Omaru
* Polka's debut stream featured an absolute show-stopper with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ_eazT56FA "HOLOGRAM CIRCUS"]], a BigBand style song welcoming her new audience to her circus of wonders that serves as a perfect introduction for her ringleader type character.
* Following her ringleader typing in a distinctly [[SurrealHumor different manner]] is [[https://youtu.be/TGJ9-1LWFtE ぽ]] [[labelnote:*]]Simply translated as "Po"[[/labelnote]], which is more ''experienced'' than listened to, with the trippy MV that's highly inspired by ''Anime/PopTeamEpic'' being the cherry on top of the cake.
* [[https://youtu.be/vbhgQ_C_jaM EverBlue]] combines striking visuals of Polka's virtual avatar against a real Tokyo night backdrop with a somber tone and melancholic lyrics to depict a very real feeling of depression and anxiety. Since many people were unaware of her HiddenDepths, this was an incredibly powerful display of her talent as well as her insecurities, and sheds a light on why she tries so hard to perform to the best of her ability.

[[folder:Generation 6 -[=holoX=]-]]
!!As a generational unit
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTXGwiWBc9k Jouya Repaint]] pictures the secret society [=holoX=], having celebrated their first anniversary, hell-bent on taking over the world and having the people embrace their darkness per the group's lore. The song itself is coupled with a fast-paced electro beat that wouldn't sound out of place as a VillainSong.

!!La+ Darknesss
* Her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kjuzcwqou8 "Aien Jihen"]] [[note]]Originally titled "合縁事変"[[/note]], showcases her tremendous pitch control as she and music composer Osanzi deliver a very {{chuunibyou}} lyrical experience.

!!Lui Takane
* Lui's first original song is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0aSJdN3mVY "OVERD,"]] a rousing ElectroSwing number that might just be the most straightforward VillainSong [=HoloX=] has to offer. The music video, courtesy of YM, reinforces this with its dark visuals.
--> '''Youtube commenter:''' "This felt like watching a VisualNovel/{{Danganronpa}} execution in VideoGame/DontStarve."

!!Koyori Hakui
* Her second original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN6KYc3sVUk "Otome yo Motomeyo Q. E. D."]], fits her upbeat personality and lore as the genius of the Secret Society. She gets most of the digits of pi right (3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197) with her MotorMouth before slowing down near the end of the song.

!!Chloe Sakamata
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtw9iea8QIw "Marionette"]] is an aggressive rock arrangement by Music/Deco27 blending Chloe's two singing voice ranges with double pedal beats and angsty lyrics.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:holostars]]
!!Miyabi Hanasaki
* Commemorating his birthday, not only does he provide a wonderful live for his fans, but also released the PV for his original song, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cI76r7KvIs Blooming Declaration]]', a song that reflects his journey as an idol, from his rough, humble beginnings to his continued determination as he moves forward. With his past closely intertwined with the growth of Holostars as a whole, there's plenty of imagery reflecting his realization that he's no longer alone in chasing his dreams. Not just the other members, but the staff and his fans as well.

!!Izuru Kanade
* In 2021, Izuru officially released his first original song, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iBexWOf6aw Monologue in a Row]]'. Although it was available as a prototype along several other originals as part of his 2nd anniversary, the additional instrumentation gives it an even bigger impact. Clocking at over 7 minutes long, its lyrics reflect Izuru's views on his journey as a musician, from where he started to his continued path forward.

!!Arurandeisu
* For his birthday in 2021, Aruran released his first original song, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7SHBurxQzc W.I.M]]'[[note]] World Is Mine[[/note]], a rap song that not only encompasses all that he's done so far in his career (along with plenty of inside jokes), but his declaration to keep going and working hard for his Familiaran.

!!Rikka
* His first original, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK6Elz5MrqQ "Re:Hello, world"]] documents Rikka's journey as a Vtuber and as a part of Holostars. Despite the difficulties and challenges he has faced, the song cements his gratefulness towards his fans and how he's able to keep moving forward because of them.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HWCMh1ZmzE "Spiral Tones"]] is an upbeat song collaborated with [=HoloEn's=] Mori Calliope. Together, they prove that by breaking free from the norms and embracing new ideas, anyone can create something amazing if they just go for it head-on.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biNtMOSIFH4&t=125s "Archive"]] is an emotional song reflecting Rikka's feelings about the graduated members of Holostars, about how even though they're no longer around, he will always keep his memories of them close to his heart.

!!Astel Leda
* Commemorating not only his 3D debut, but also his 2nd anniversary of being a Holostar, Astel released and performed his first original song, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EhYg1GlsA4 Future Galaxy and Whistle Melody]]', a song to provide courage for those chasing their dreams. It has an overall dreamy yet powerful atmosphere, almost like something out of a Disney production. And that's not even barring all of the original songs used during his debut, which can be bought as an OST as part of his commorative goods.

!!Temma Kishido
* In a surprising turn of events, Temma's 3D debut stream revealed that he has his own original song - '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDCrIWMNWEA Shooting Star]]', written by his favorite composer, Natsushiro Takaaki. An uplifting song that cements his determination to make those he cares for smile, no matter what it takes. Unlike the past songs he's covered, his vocals here are very, very powerful, very much like the determined, stubborn knight the song was written for.

!!Roberu Yukoku
* For his 2nd anniversary, Roberu released his original song, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oazCXvy6Rvs POPTALK]]'. It's an incredibly bouncy, catchy tune that encompasses Roberu's viewpoint of how everyone is different and that it's fine to be stay as yourself, just as he's being himself. And that if you're ever feeling down or just want to chat, he'll be there to listen, too.

!!Shien Kageyama
* Revealed during their first 3D live, Shien performed a second live performance of his original song for his birthday live, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CHpbbE2QNU BEGINNING]]', a badass rock song that with powerful lyrics that very much fit Shien's nature for theatrics while still being inspiring all the same.

!!Aragami Oga
* Although it was already revealed during their live concert, Oga released his first original, '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG8yKByxSR0 Silent Night Requiem]]. Perfectly suited to his low, deep voice, it's a slow, soft rock song with a tinge of sadness that seems to show his reflections on his past as a soldier in the parallel world he once lived in.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Indonesia]]
!!Ayunda Risu
* As part of her birthday celebration in 2022, Risu released her first song, [[https://youtu.be/IGviVpVE1fA ALiCE&u.]] Her vast range is on display as always, culminating in using layering to have a "duet" between her Ayunda and Risu personalities, and the song combines English, Japanese, and Bahasa Indonesia. Even more awesome, Risu wrote the song herself.
* For her third anniversary in 2023, Risu released "1:15 AM". The song itself is done purely by using her Ayunda voice, while the arrangement and MV give off a [[TheNineties 90s]] vibe to it.
!!Moona Hoshinova
* Moona's first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4N7EhUWOAA "Ai no Chiisana Uta"]] is a stunning, emotional piano ballad, moving from a soft, tender verse to an intense chorus showing Moona's surprisingly powerful voice in all its glory.
* With no less than 3 K/DA covers under her belt by 2022, Moona's experience with K-pop allowed her to release her second original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stmZAThUl64 "High Tide"]], on her birthday on February 15. It's an unrepentant IAmGreatSong set to trap music reimagining the origins of the avatar of the Moon Goddess, gloriously displaying Moona's contralto in full.
* Moona's third original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXRSp8QbOeg "Perisai Jitu"]], touches upon the dark topic of the artist's insecurities veiled behind the mask they show in public, contrasting with the song's upbeat tune. In fact, even as the Moona in the MV clearly spirals into a SanitySlippage, she never lets up the façade (represented by her dancing and the persistent chorus); nor do the upbeat instrumentals, for that matter.
* During her third anniversary, Moona released her fourth original song, "Who's Toxic? It's You!" The song has a [[TurnoftheMillennium 2000s]] vibe to it, reminiscent of Music/AvrilLavigne in terms of style, and the song's MV is done in full 3D animation courtesy of Kanauru.
!!Airani Iofifteen
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd6kufQ7ONc "Q&A=E"]][[note]]Pronounced "Kyawaii", as in the childish mispronunciation of "kawaii"[[/note]] is an unabashedly cute J-pop anthem that bursts with Iofi's "cute little sister" energy and is impossible to listen to and watch without having a giant smile on your face afterward.

!!Kureiji Ollie
* Ollie's first original song, [[https://youtu.be/2ZqtRc3fa_s JOLLIE JOLLIE]], fully reflects her boundless joy and energy, as well as her desire to spread that joy to others. Special mention to the MV, featuring adorable artwork by [[https://twitter.com/starrysharks Zeno]], which has cameos of not only other holoID members but also Ina, Callie, Sana, and Baelz from EN, Mel from JP, and even Astel from holostars.

!!Pavolia Reine
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onhGlvuvl0U "Gate Open: START!"]] is an original composition that Reine used to introduce herself, an anime opening-worthy pop song and music video done in Indonesian (with accompanying subtitles for Japanese and English viewers). The lyrics are a reference to Reine herself being [[TrappedInAnotherWorld isekai'd]] to our world. Over nine months after introducing the song, Reine released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFpOBazE3rs the full version]] in a dazzling MV with high production values.
* As a preface to the first anniversary since her debut, Reine released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzUfNQaaemk "Azure Sky's Fault"]], a romantic pop song and with a dash of rap.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxwV963ZNEU "Love Me Love Me"]] is the dark reflection to "Azure Sky's Fault", with its beat-heavy EDM and distorting visuals bringing to full effect a {{Yandere}}'s obsessive LoveConfession.

!!Kobo Kanaeru
* [[https://youtu.be/SF-_47-oCtk Mantra Hujan]] is a display of Kobo's many talents, as she not only sings it, but also wrote the lyrics, co-composed it, and made it into a video. The song itself is a cheerful, if somewhat short declaration her determination to be a HopeBringer for her viewers.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50Ura_ZcSvY "HELP!"]] is an absolute banger of pure groovy funk with backing vocals by natori all about Kobo's struggles to just be herself amidst the pressures society places on her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English -Myth-]]
!!As a group
* For Halloween, [=HoloMyth=] released [[https://youtu.be/VupT9JCJaOY "Myth or Treat"]], an adorably spooky song whose music video includes the girls' smol forms (and guest appearances by the [=VRChat=] forms of [=IRyS=] and [=HoloCouncil=]). The lyrics reference a number of inside jokes and past events for their viewers' pleasure.
* Following the reveal of their New Year kimono outfits in 2022, hololive Myth topped the relay streams with their first group original, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKJErsN-ylU "Journey Like a Thousand Years"]], directed by Calli (MV and lyrics), illustrated by Ina and composed by Farhan Sarasin (who previously worked on Gura's "REFLECT"). In this song, every member gets a chance to shine with the incredibly elegant and layered vocals, longing to finally hang out together as their bonds kept them strong over the years despite the distance between them.

!!Calliope Mori
* Calli herself as a musical creator. Her output is awesome in all the ways which count, in terms of sheer output (which rivals that of many conventional idol groups, and that's just what she does under her own name without considering her many collabs, both with other holomems and other artists), her personal contribution to that output, and its great variety of musical influences and styles.
* As part of her debut, Calli released an EP over the course of several days, along with off-vocal versions of the tracks for her fans to use in [[AudienceParticipation their own remixes]]; most of the tracks were composed and mixed by the incredibly talented [[https://twitter.com/kokorobeats?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor kokorobeats]], with Calli writing all of the songs herself. As a testament to how well received her music was, her EP reached #1 in various services worldwide and topped the iTunes charts of all albums worldwide within two days of its release.
** In the debut itself, she presented her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y3xh8gs24c "Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP?"]] In contrast with her initial [[NervousWreck nervousness and clumsiness]], her rap was full of [[AwesomeEgo confidence and arrogance]], showcasing her lyrical prowess.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz7JIBvAFqM "ReaperかRapper?"]], her second track, was given a more "raw" feeling, having been composed and mixed entirely by herself using various percussive things she had found around her house.
** [[https://youtu.be/6ydgEipkUEU "DEAD BEATS"]], which showcases her impressive speed rapping on par with Music/{{Eminem}} in addition to diving into a bit of self deprecating humor and ending it with a DoubleEntendre she calls herself out on.
** Her final track, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-LOlueKCtk "Live Again,"]] was given more of a "pop" feel and had a somber tone to it that could be interpreted in a number of ways; Calli herself has said the track is largely self-reflective and more personal than the others, and that people can find their own meaning in it.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYu3PvRPZR8 Cursed Night]] gives off a more melancholy and personal vibe than any of the songs before it, taking a dive into Calliope's troubled psyche before joining hololive. The result is an emotional powerhouse that can bring [[TearJerker a tear to one's eye upon listening.]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M-6lkoi6L4 "Off With Their Heads"]] is a combination of a BadassBoast with a motivational message. To some, it can also be perceived as TheDissTrack aimed at certain individuals on social media that took umbrage with her -- while this wasn't Calli's intention, it can feel cathartic for those who tire of clout chasers.[[labelnote:Explanation]]When a Deadbeat asked for advice on how to succeed as a Vtuber, Calli's advice was "Stop tweeting, start creating". She said this to motivate people to do what they enjoy doing, whether it was being a Vtuber or any other creative endeavor. Unfortunately, some in the English Vtuber fan community who hadn't actually started streaming took offense to this advice and accused Calli of being a corporate shill, taking her honest advice as an insult.[[/labelnote]] The power behind Calli's lyrics is backed by a sick dubstep beat, mixed by another guest artist, [[https://youtube.com/c/TOPHAMHATKYO AO/Tophamhat Kyo.]]
* "Your Mori", Calli's second EP, was released in conjunction with her birthday in early April 2021. All the tracks had been mixed by AO, and they are stylistically distinct from one another with lyrical content that is just as diverse.
** The EP's signature track is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AuQZrUHjhg "Red"]], a percussion-intense track that focuses heavily on Calli's own ambitions and her workaholic tendencies, acknowledging her own existence as fleeting, and using that realization as a drive to continue creating a legacy that's worth remembering, or fade away into obscurity otherwise.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8Q-smqaUgA "guh"]] is an incredibly impressive inside joke, taking a shot at herself and her VerbalTic, but the track is a catchy [[TakeThatAudience shot at her antis]] (since she turned her vocalization to mean [[FunWithAcronyms "give up haters"]]) as well as spending the majority of the track dismissing them since she's her own worst critic and nothing they say can actually hurt her.
--->'''Chorus:''' Try again/I'm wishing you well/But you will never roast me better/than I roast myself
* Calli's original song for the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RxlzJWWzdY Hololive Alternative teaser]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz4m-D30SAw "Dawn Blue"]], is an uplifting song fit to be an anime's opening theme, along with demonstrating Calli's singing range in performing in a musical genre and style she doesn't usually sing.
* [[https://youtu.be/BXB26PzV31k "end of a life"]] is a another melancholic track similar to "Cursed Night". The lyrical content is seemingly themed around regret for leaving the life she once had and yearning before harshly reminding her that her current life is everything she wanted and that she shouldn't be blinded by nostalgia. The track's emotional impact is underscored by a relaxed jazzy instrumentation produced by PrettyPatterns, keeping in line with her constant experimentation with different musical styles. Amazingly enough, Calli admits that she almost threw the song out before changing her mind.
* At the end of October 2021, Calli collaborated with the virtual unit BOOGEY VOXX to release two very intense and upbeat songs, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSw_0FmjmEE "CROWN"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIgcVT4SfGw "Graveyard Shift"]]. Both singles have the Reaper's melodic bars complement Fra's hardcore flows while Ci brings in strong vocals on the chorus section.
* Taku Inoue's second single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO1V9fn7zYo "Yona Yona Journey"]], features Calli's terrifically seamless flow between English and Japanese and narrates a Yakuza boss's long-forgotten dream to be dancing on the stage.
* On March 20, 2022, Calli released her first full album, titled "[=UnAlive=]". Within a day of its release, "[=UnAlive=]" rose all the way up to #4 on the iTunes Top Album chart. [[https://twitter.com/moricalliope/status/1506169276180275200 This did not go unnoticed]]. With the exceptions of previous collaborations in "[Q]" and "Graveyard Shift", the album features an umbrella of diverse music styles that Calli normally doesn't delve into with her track record.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSC3BheJuhU The title track, "UnAlive"]], is an incredibly rousing number that switches between Calli's singing and her rapping and that wouldn't be out of place as an anime OP. The fact that she also has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57ytHNCSTNY a Japanese version]] of the song speaks volumes about her dedication to her craft.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwOat0JYPAY "Dead On Arrival"]] is an unrelenting electro swing number wherein Calli showcases yet again her seamless flow between English and Japanese flows.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuTSmrDwyLw "Huge W"]], composed by Music/{{Camellia}}, is an aggressive EDM rap that reminds the audience that Calli is a Reaper who doesn't mess around with her job and is ''really'' good at racking up a death count.
** [[https://youtu.be/sEtUyl7Ryu4 "Scuffed Up Age"]] is a beautiful piece about loving the world in spite of all of its flaws. Calli knows how awful the world can be and how easy it is to give up on it, but she refuses to give in to cynicism and love the world anyway, encouraging others to do the same.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1Iq738NU5o "Ouroboros"]] is a rondo piece narrating her hardships, as well as the end result paying off, into a poetic package.
* Calli's first single under Universal Music Japan is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOzpsXZS-j0 "MERA MERA"]]. Bearing Giga's distinctive high energy beats, the Reaper takes another step in experimenting with music styles.
* To promote volume 106 of ''Franchise/OnePiece'', Calli releases "[[https://youtu.be/eWNn24KHPRQ 未来島 ~Future Island~]]", a mixture of retro and modern music that embodies the Straw Hats adventures at Egghead Island (MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD for those who have not read the manga).
* Calli's collaborative song with AI, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsjr5jFMHkQ "Tide",]] has utter furious momentum that does ''not'' let up throughout its roughly 4-minute runtime with the feel of a triumphant Gospel song about taking control of your life and changing its [[TitleDrop tides]] in your favor.
-->'''Chorus:''' Seek out your fire, reignite your flame! No more living sick and tired, no apologies required - and I know: Maybe there's no-one else who feels the same! Passions fade, but so do scars, we'll paint the future, make it ours! [[BigYes YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!]]

!!Kiara Takanashi
* Kiara's debut single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDfMDkgheQY "HINOTORI"]], is a HotBlooded rock track that would not be out of place as an opening theme for an anime or tokusatsu show, with lyrics illustrating Kiara's [[TheDeterminator drive and determination]].
* Released on Valentine's Day 2021, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpSLiHAYe7k "Heart Challenger"]] is an ''adorable'', unfathomably peppy song about Kiara's attempt to make homemade chocolates and build the courage to confess her love to the person she adores. The MV heavily implies this person to be [[ShipTease Calliope, who accepts her gift.]]
* On her 2021 birthday, Kiara released her third original single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq9eqHDKJPE "SPARKS"]]. Composed by KIRA, whose "GETCHA!" was covered by Suisei and Calli three weeks prior, this pop song takes cues from the nightcore and K-pop beats, with the music direction complementing Kiara's voice as she belts out lyrics about relentlessly pushing forward in your life.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF4rteXN57w "Fever Night"]], released at the end of May 2022, is an addictively energetic 1980s inspired synthwave dance track created with Brazilian music maker [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWSC_-y9QsDmACXRY3rvtsQ Astrophysics]]. The MV shows Kiara taking to the dance floor in suitably 80s fashion along with some retro styled 3D.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI96hnhcr2E DO U]] is an absolute banger with heavy K-Pop vibes and incredible vocals by Kiara. The music video only helps elevate it with [[SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome Kiara's wonderfully animated dancing]].

!!Ina'nis Ninomae
* Before taking off for a vacation at the beginning of August 2021, Ina released her first original single, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZdLXELdF9Q "VIOLET"]]. It's a calm and slightly melancholic song going hand-in-hand with Ina's soothing voice. The music video, which was delayed by a couple of months, is also praise-worthy, as it contains a well-edited and artful montage that's chock-full of blink-and-you-miss-it images, numbers and Biblical verses in a manner reminiscent of Creator/StudioShaft's ''Literature/{{Bakemonogatari}}''; a theory fan's all-you-can-eat buffet, as Ina herself mentions in the stream preceding the song's premiere.

!!Gura Gawr
* The morning after her 2021 birthday stream, Gura released her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGgEFoI9MhE "REFLECT"]]. On top of sporadically repeating the infamous two-note motif from ''Film/{{Jaws}}'', the innocent and carefree Gura we all know and love sings [[BeYourself her desire to live true to herself]] in Japanese, while her darker, predatory self taunts her in English, urging present-day Gura to come back to her destructive past; both personas also drop bars to make the song's style unpredictable, with the duality of the lyrics clashing as Gura finally decides to make peace with her darker thoughts, restart from scratch and leave her old self behind, but not without taking her past experiences to heart. The song also begins and ends with lines in [[GratuitousGreek Ancient Greek]][[note]]Both phrases are ones used in modern Greece, but only ever said using their Ancient Greek forms, not modern Greek[[/note]], fitting her Atlantean origins and also making the song trilingual. Nine months later, after her stunning 3D performance in the 2022 ''Link Your Wish'' live, Gura re-released the song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCQ_zZIiGLA this time with a fully animated MV]] which [[RedOniBlueOni contrasts]] Gura's pure blue innocence to Gawr's blood red aggressiveness.

!!Watson Amelia
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYVweqOW31w "ChikuTaku"]] is an adorable and upbeat song about Amelia's friendship with her teamates that showcases how far she's come as far as her singing ability goes. Combine that with an extremely catchy backing track and you've got an incredible song.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English - Project: HOPE]]
!![=IRyS=]
* The much hyped [=holoEN=] [=VSinger=] made the rounds as soon as she released her first EP, [[https://old.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/ojcgfa/iryss_first_ep_album_caesura_of_despair_peaked_at/ which peaked at the number one spot]] on July 12th's Worldwide [=iTunes=] Album charts as well as taking the #1 album rank in multiple countries for that period.
** [=IRyS=]'s debut song and the flagship of her first EP, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBNI979XyoE "Caesura of Despair"]], is a perfect introduction to [[HopeBringer her character]]. It combines powerful, but serene bilingual vocals with smooth instrumentals and clever use of heartbeats as [=IRyS=] sings to dispel all the despair in the world, giving way to hope.
** The second song in the EP, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t8Za0T1T8M "HERE COMES HOPE"]], is a sourer take on [=IRyS=]'s HopeBringer quality, with her witnessing the world's ugliness and barely restraining herself from responding in kind. The song is correspondigly wild and draws inspiration from MYTH & ROID's songs (which makes sense, given this particular song is composed by Tom-[=H@ck=] and its lyrics written by hotaru).
** The third entry, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxr3BV-t0Tc "diorama"]], shifts the EP's tone once more with an upbeat pop song that could be used as an anime opening credits song.
** [=IRyS=] concludes her first EP with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5w1lfb-RMs "Caesura of Despair (attacca ver.)"]], an EDM remix of the flagship song that slaps just as hard as the original.
* As part of her celebration for the half year since she debuted, [=IRyS=] premiered her second EP, "Journey". Boasting six songs all distinct from each other, the album is a marked improvement over her already stellar performance.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHSGi7RUGxE "Only in Hope"]] has the definitive "Rocky Season 2 opening credits" feeling, with [=IRyS=] urging the listener to hold on to hope as their beacon of light in a dark world.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1olEauFL700 "Joy with You"]] is a medley that has [=IRyS=] express her desire to join on the fun after observing everyone's happiness. Here, her transition from Japanese lyrics to English ones is nothing short of magical.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smeV74BZKCw "Nameless Sadness"]] is the oddball in the hope-filled EP, as it's a powerful dirge wherein [=IRyS=] is overcome by the sadness she witnessed around the world, but at the same times wishes for better days.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysid9gXNxts "Bare your teeth"]] is a continuation of the aggressive tone set in "HERE COMES HOPE", with the Nephilim baring her fangs at the negativity surrounding her. As an energetic piece composed by ZAQ, the mix is a resounding banger that could be featured in Franchise/D4DJ.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj7dF69OznY "Sink again, Rise again"]] is a melodious, melancholic piece with heartfelt vocals. After four songs packed to the brim with frantic emotions, "Sink again, Rise again" offers a much needed change of pace in the EP.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_wSoMIdQ18 "Flower of hope"]], the only song in this EP sung entirely in Japanese, closes the album with a graceful serenade that would be at home in an anime's ending credits.
* The pop single [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhkfm1dX7BM "See the world"]] has [=IRyS=] renew her resolve in carrying on her mission in an uncertain world.
-->I am hope, I'm more than just an angel or demon\
I was born as the only hope to save this world\
A world so kind (but sometimes cruel), a world so loving (at times lonely), always beautiful\
And I will not ever give it up.
* The end of March 2022 sees the release of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1rEe7UR4No "Akatsuki to Hana"]] [[note]]Originally titled "あかつきと花"[[/note]], a traditional J-Rock single where [=IRyS=] heralds the coming of spring and a new beginning.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM3QQXzOzVE "Till the end of me"]] [[note]]Originally titled "心臓が止まるまで"[[/note]] is a slightly more somber take on [=IRyS=]'s determination, with her vowing to keep on moving forward for as long as her life allows, regardless of circumstances.
* Continuing the somber path treaded by "Till the end of me" is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fevB6h3-kfE "Gravity"]], a funky song about depression laced with a tinge of hope in knowing there is someone who understands your pain.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English -Council-]]
!!As a group
* For their first anniversary since their debut, Council released their first group original in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHibTDJlTJw "Rise"]]. Recorded prior to Sana's graduation, all five members get to harmonize together in a song that's all about the group's unbreakable bonds as they move forward as one with their ambitions.

!!Sana Tsukumo
* For her birthday in 2022, Sana unveiled her first (and sadly, her only) original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8y1aWMlPOs "Astrogirl"]], which was made in collaboration with musician Snail's House, a soft yet energetic song with hopeful lyrics that reference celestial objects and phenomena befitting her position as the Guardian of Space.

!!Fauna Ceres
* Fauna's first original song is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RMVJTLZOzQ "Let Me Stay Here"]], a fluffy bossa nova lullaby by Shibayan Records that's bound to make you settle down comfortably no matter the time.

!!Kronii Ouro
* Less than a week after Mumei released the MV for her own original song, Kronii followed suit by unveiling [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaMM_1lmFVE "Daydream"]], the original song she had been holding on to since her debut. Drawing inspiration from Tatsuya Tano's past compositions in the ''VideoGame/AtelierSeries'', it's a melancholic ballad wherein Kronii laments the passing of time and the eventuality of being alone again at the end of time. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W749jRBg-4 The official MV]] adds some lore-centric flair to the song with numerous blink-and-you-miss-it quotes, clock imagery and Kronii's intense gaze.
-->Life and death at every tick.\
Humanity clings to the passing nostalgia.\
Will they ever escape from the chains of time?\

!!Mumei Nanashi
* In her debut, Mumei gave us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BP7xi1DUG8I a preview]] for her first song, which was later revealed to be [[https://youtu.be/Py21QCndbxc "A New Start"]]. She gave a second preview--[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7thoKqt99Eo in acapella!]]--in a guerilla karaoke stream the night before the music video released. The full video looks and sounds like it could be the title theme for a JRPG, showing the player the game world in sprawling cinematic as Mumei depicts her history as the Guardian of Civilization and proclaims her love for exploring.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oA0CpI0vCK4 "Mumei"]] emphasizes the "nameless" aspect of her chosen moniker. A hauntingly intimate EDM track with an incredible drop during the chorus and accompanied by a gorgeously-animated monochrome music video, the song delves into wanting to remember someone before the singer forgets that they even forgot that person they are trying to remember.

!!Baelz Hakos
* For her birthday, Bae released her first original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na6bysYNuS0 "Play Dice!"]], composed by Music/{{Camellia}}, containing all the [[GenkiGirl energy]] and [[GodOfChaos chaos]] associated with her in incredible fashion. The song contains a catchy chorus, a Japanese rap that even impressed Calli, and uses a very loose style to allow Bae's [[WomanOfAThousandVoices wide vocal range]] to shine.
* Bae explores the darker side of chaos (i.e. insanity) in her second original song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnX8Lk-iSCo "PSYCHO"]], a tense and erratic drumstep track that puts the rat girl's impressive vocal range on full display.
* From her EP Pandæmonium, one track stands out among its more energetic and upbeat peers: [[https://youtu.be/-FLiBqQMHWk “DROWN”]], a melancholy ballad that trades out the louder bombast of tracks like PSYCHO and BOOM for a darker, almost lullaby-like instrumental and the sound of light rain. DROWN serves to showcase a different side of Bae’s vocal range, with all of her vocals sung in a very soft, melodic and almost ethereal tone not all too dissimilar from that of acts like {{Music/Cryoshell}}.
* Debuting in her Dreamcatcher concert is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WXVFl-N6-o "R x R x R"]], a fast-paced jam suitable for a rat embodiment of chaos, complete with an infectious chorus.

[[folder:English -Advent-]]
!!As a group
* Immediately following their debut, Advent would unleash their full musical acumen upon humanity with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYNYhSsR8EE "Rebellion"]], their first original song. A bang-on dance music track, the song is perfect to sing along and get up out of your chair to dance to, and includes parts for each individual member to let their voices shine out and show the world what they can do.

!!FUWAMOCO
* During the twins' debut stream they showcased a preview of their own original song, [[https://youtu.be/-wzgy7uTuSk "Lifetime Showtime"]], a peppy J-pop anthem that is pure fun to listen to; with a relaxing, slowed-down version serving as their stream BGM.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:holostars English -TEMPUS-]]
!! Magni Dezmond
* For his first original song, Magni blew people away with [[https://youtu.be/j2ZwtD4iArw "Copium"]], a grungy EDM piece about a secret nightclub that sells the titular brew.

!! Gavis Bettel
* For his birthday in 2024, Bettel dropped "[[https://youtu.be/XIRwP76bgtc?si=4Jqa407-zymVuR8H Unlucky]]", a rock song that can best be described as a classic VillainSong mixed with early-oughties {{grunge}} and EmoMusic. For someone who's gone on record saying he's "not much of a musician", it's a ''very'' impressive showing.

!! Banzoin Hakka
* Right out of the gate, Hakka surprises his viewers with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOYBy6mtV1E "Raven's Paradigm"]], a soul-shredding metal song fighting against the curse he was saddled with.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:holostars English -ARMIS-]]
!!As a group
* ARMIS introduced themselves to the world with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHG8CGNgsNs BLOODHOUNDS]], a blood-pumping techno-pop track which features every member showing off their singing chops and a chorus that ''will'' get stuck in your head. The lyrics (entirely in English) are the perfect encapsulation of ARMIS' DarkerAndEdgier stylings compared to TEMPUS. And the MV's just a shortened version - [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPdVUsXAxiI the full version]] is just as good if not better.

[[folder:Within hololive]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kQ2GtvDV3s This well known hit cover of "Mischievous Function"]] featuring all twenty-eight members (technically twenty-four as Korone, Haato, Fubuki, and Coco were unable to participate) of Hololive's Japanese branch up to fourth generation. While not an official theme of hololive, the catchy as heck song is regarded by fans as the "hololive national anthem", and for good reason. It's become a tradition for new members to cover the song as well with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf9YfzyLG2Q 1st gen ID]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IixAr5W3TIc 5th gen JP]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJjz3owWnbU 2nd gen ID]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCyKjz-ie3c 6th gen JP/holoX]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFJHdT_ie9U all of EN]] doing their own takes. It even extends to some talent doing their own covers of the song, as [[https://youtu.be/zpv1HPrSS5U Marine]] demonstrates.
* Sora and [=AZKi=]'s most well-known duet cover as "[=SorAZ=]" is [=FictionJunction=] Yuuka's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7NE6BoTCIA "Akatsuki no Kuruma"]] from ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED'', with the pair recreating the original song's sorrow.
* Suisei and Kanata's cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntJN93-xQLA Angelfish]] shows off both of their impressive vocal ranges, especially Kanata's.
* Matsuri and Rikka's cover [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KyLE_Ejf-U cover of "Preserved Roses"]] from ''Anime/ValvraveTheLiberator'' stands up to the original by having Matsuri adopt a clear pitch and Rikka do his best Music/TMRevolution impression ever.
* Risu and Reine covered ''Valvrave The Liberator''[='=]s second opening song "Kakumei Dualism". [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx-_i0RWwNc Side A]] features Reine's powerful vocals with Risu's deep and boyish voice, while [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euBur-z_lmk Side B]] features a brief glimpse Risu's sweeter side of the vocals while Reine keeps her powerful vocals from Side A, all while Risu keeps her deep vocals throughout most of the song. [[https://youtu.be/aWSaIdLUE0Y [=AZKi=] and Rikka's version]] boasts [=AZKi=]'s mix of powerful and sweet vocals combined with Rikka's TM Revolution impression.
* Holostars 2nd Generation, under their group name [=SunTempo=], cover [[https://youtu.be/VI1ZWkQadTc Ah, Osaka Dreamin' Night]] from Music/HypnosisMic. All three members manage to show off their talent in the cover, such as Roberu putting his fast talking skills to good use with his impressive rapping throughout the track.
* Sora, Suisei, Marine, Flare and Kanata band together in a colourful cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur0K2WA67jw "Alice in N.Y."]], showcasing the odd quintet's incredible vocal range when singing together.
* [=AZKi=] and Kanata get together in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcfZziSg0cg a breathtaking duet cover]] of ''Anime/NagiAsuALullInTheSea''[='=]s second ending theme, "Mitsuba no Musubime".
* Hololive idols had a number of covers of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akari_Nanawo Akari Nanawo]]'s songs, but two of them stand out, both of them the most viewed videos in their respective channels:
** Aqua's cover of "[[https://youtu.be/O8v5S1nhKzo Da Da Da Da Angel]]" not only gives off her pessimistic introvert side while off-stream but also managed to be cute at the same time.
** Pekora's cover of "[[https://youtu.be/AAr2lHZLNyU Discommunication Alien]]" shows off her true shut-in side contrary to her outgoing persona while streaming, mainly in part due to the song's lyrics.
* Holostars' cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wqpyWJOJ6M Painter]] brings all the members together, singing in harmony to an uplifting song. Each of the members show their skills, with Astel showing off his vocal range by holding a high note for a few seconds.
* Gura's improvement in Japanese allowed her to work together with Matsuri on a clear and pitch-perfect cover of [[https://youtu.be/2ys9IS5r9yA "Sorairo Days"]].
* The EN Myth's cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1cdQp5uz5s "Take Me Home, Country Roads"]] shows off everyone's singing voice, with Gura and Ina starting off, then Gura and Amelia, then Calli and Kiara, and finally everyone harmonizing ''beautifully'' together to finish out.
* Noel and Flare's duet cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVdA-QCcXYc ClariS's "Naisho no Hanashi"]] radiates copious amounts of SugarWiki/{{WAFF}} as Noel's soft vocals compliment Flare's warm ones.
* Astel and Izuru release their cover of Natsushiro Takaaki [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0NXC7POoUs "Juggernaut"]], a powerful song that proves how well [=AsuIzu=]'s vocals compliment one another.
* Suisei and Calli present their first collab song in the form of a duet cover of Giga and KIRA's K-pop inspired [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjlMPu5sEgw "GETCHA!"]], seamlessly combining singing and rapping, as well as Japanese and English lyrics. Calliope's rap is already a fantastic accompaniment to Suisei's powerful vocals, but the bridge hits and Suisei shows she can put out a slick rap, too!
* For Suntempo's first anniversary as a group, Astel, Temma and Roberu released a cover of Yazima Beauty Salon's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0bzKnl5uek "Nihon no Mikata -Nevada kara Kimashita-"]], an insanely madcap song that oozes hilarity with its nonsensical lyrics, and the PV paying homage to the original by having the trio cross-dress. It's also yet another great example of Astel showing off the deeper range of his voice, complimenting well with Roberu and Temma.
* [=AkiRose=] and Roboco got together for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP-caiSnm2Q a duet cover]] of [[Characters/BangDreamRoselia Roselia]]'s "BLACK SHOUT", with their combined angelic voices resonating with the gothic rock backdrop.
* Nene and Reine released a duet cover of Mitchie M's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_xMgw2j9v8 "Ai Dee"]] mixed by [=REDSHiFT=], with Nene's sweet bopping voice complimenting Reine's rap impression. For someone who claims to not like singing in English, Reine sure delivers with addicting words like "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"!
* Iofi and Moona worked together to put out a splendid cover of [[https://youtu.be/nTuz_POqV9c "Bring It On"]] in mid-2021. Iofi's rap combined well with Moona's powerful voice.
* [=FOXDEMON=]'s Fubuki and Oga's cover of '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RsoRC9t3no Childish War]]' pits Fubuki's high vocals with Oga's baritone, making a unique harmony that reflects their competitive nature. In the same vein, resident odd siblings Ollie and Astel also released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOsqlM_6JcI their own cover not long]] after [=FOXDEMON=]'s. It's arguably just as perfect for Astellie, with the PV oozing with their personality and energy. The predecessor of all these 'Childish War' covers, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoSuMVviNaU AquShio]], is basically Aqua and Shion's ''[[Funny/HololiveMinecraft Minecraft]]'' [[Funny/HololiveMinecraft neighborhood wars]] in musical form, albeit with some altered lyrics to match their characters.
* Moona, Risu, Calli, and Reine teamed up on [[VideoGame/LeagueofLegends K/DA's]] [[https://youtu.be/8Jz0hUbu1mw "Baddest"]], with each member pulling their weight for an absolute blast of a cover. Moona and Risu brought their rich contralto voices into the fray for the chorus, while Calli and Reine flawlessly took care of the slow and fast rap flows, respectively.
* For the occasion of Halloween 2021, all of OKFAMS assembled together for a cover of Music/{{ARASHI}}'s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbKfZy5Jpgk "Monster"]], blending in cute and powerful vocals for a harmonizing mix. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O095GG34OC4 Holostars version]] is also nothing to sneeze at, with the boys' mixed vocals blending in for another harmonizing beat.
* Moona and Suisei's take on [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKQvH78Jv04 "Saikai" by LiSA and Uru]] captures the original duet's essence with each talent's powerful voice complementing the other.
* For Christmas 2021, all 11 members of EN released a cover of [[https://youtu.be/kPyLnwSXqkA "The 12 Days of Christmas"]], harmonizing on the day introductions and the 12th day's gift and each one soloing on the other 11 gifts. Factor in the SuperDeformed graphics and it all adds up to a dose of CutenessOverload.
* The surprising combination of Suisei, Astel and Izuru come together for a cover of Ayase's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXQDUhSr8nU Cinema]]. Their vocals, although distinct on their own, blends smoothly and emphasizes on the fullness of the song. It also truly encompasses the meaning behind the song, with a group singing as one (as a key event song for [[VideoGame/HatsuneMikuColorfulStage Vivid Bad Squad]], who the song was written for).
* On the day before Valentine's Day 2022, Kiara teamed up with Amelia for a cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjBZzYN3aAs emon's "Dreamin' Chuchu"]], with the latter showcasing just how much her singing practice sessions paid off. The love-filled song is accompanied by a MV animated by kanauru and predictably features tons of cameo appearances and gags from the animator's previous works.
* In a somewhat surprising change of pace, [=AZKi=] and Nene put together a cover of [[https://youtu.be/1IIX8hBvVuY Roki]] that showed off both their playful natures, their singing talents, and the power of their voices.
* The trio comprised of Reine, Suisei and Calli [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbB3KsFRv4U gets to cover "Beat Eater"]] in a harmonious [=REDSHiFT=] counterpoint arrange.
* Three days after "Beat Eater", [=AZKi=], Fubuki and Marine form another trio and dust off [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWskZx7Lp2Q a cover of "Maware! Setsugetsuka"]], ''Literature/UnbreakableMachineDoll''[='=]s lightning-paced ending theme with a traditional Japanese flavour.
* Three days after "Maware! Setsugetsuka", Calli returns with another collab cover, this time with Mel and Kanata in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVsacQZTmiI a rap arrange of Reol's "LUVORATORRRRRY!"]], with the Reaper spitting bars that are distinct from nqrse's rendition. Kobo and Ollie's version, released just in time for New Year 2023, shows that they can rap in not only their cutesy voices but also in their handsome voices (Cebo for Kobo and Ozzy for Ollie). Bonus points for having the MV's illustrations done by Gamma.
* On the release day for ''[[VideoGame/{{Klonoa}} Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series]]'', Fubuki and Korone collab release a cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpaD2zQQJCY "STEPPING WIND"]] that's just as energetic and upbeat as [[VideoGame/Klonoa2LunateasVeil the original]].
* Sora, Suisei, [=AZKi=], Calli, and [=IRyS=] all team up with a cover of Umetora's [[https://youtu.be/4w3zoAbxkbo "Ifuudoudou"]]. On one hand, it's quite possibly ''the'' lewdest song to ever be performed by Sora, but on the other, there's nothing quite like an all-star lineup like this blending their vocals together and seamlessly succeeding each other's verses.
* Ollie partners up with Miyabi for a fiery cover of Mitchie M's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuftDOT8KyY Ohedo Julia Night]]", with Miyabi taking on Kaito's handsome rapper guise and Ollie nailing a sweet high-pitched impression of Miku.
* Gura, Ame, Kiara, and [=IRyS=] perform a cover of "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPzV-3vLRd8 Snow Halation]]" to celebrate Christmas 2022. This is a major improvement for Ame, who went from someone who hated her own voice to singing like an idol.
* Sora gathers one member from each branch to sing "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHOPAU78XLU RAD DOGS]]" by [[VideoGame/HatsuneMikuColorfulStage Vivid BAD SQUAD]]. Their combined vocals harmonize pretty well with Axel nailing Akito's rap portion very well. To say that this is the greatest Hololive collab cover song project yet would be an understatement.
* Bae, Ina, Moona, and Risu gather for another K/DA banger: "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDUADGntHOE POP/STARS]]". Moona and Risu once again brought their rich contralto voices into the fray, with Ina's vocals and Bae's rapping complimenting them. Bonus points as we also get to hear a showcase of Ina's Korean skills, as well as Bae rapping in fluent Korean.
* To celebrate [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(Indonesia) Indonesian Independence Day]] on 17 August 2023, Hololive Indonesia released a vibrant and passionate branch cover of 2010s Indonesian boy band song "[[https://youtu.be/PaOMF-g1ZWU Terhebat]]" that perfectly showcases the entire members' passion to achieve their dreams to become the greatest and their desire for their fans to have the same determination.
* For holostars' 4th anniversary, the entire branch--''both JP and EN (sans ARMIS)''--covered halyosy's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlhDfZCkXZI "Connecting"]]. With the explosive growth of the branch, the group performance felt even grander than ever. This song is also one of Izuru's long time dream covers, and now he's lived it with not just holostars Japan, but also TEMPUS.
* The [=HoloEN=] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQuGEpICY2o cover of Gero's Mind Craft]] features the entire English branch at the time (Myth, Promise, and Advent) coming together to sing the song. Organized by Bae, not only does the cover get every member in it, but it also featured some unique vocal pairings while allowing the members to show off their range. Special mention goes to Mumei who sang on a lower register without prompting, resulting in even Bae not recognizing her voice during production. Additionally, some major credit needs to go to the audio mixer, Ema Yuniko, who was given a truly herculean task of mixing together ''fifteen different vocal tracks'', all of which were recorded separately and on each singer's own mic in completely different environments. To say that they absolutely killed it would be a ''huge'' understatement, and Bae herself praised them extensively for pulling it off in spite of how insane the workload was.

[[folder:Collaborations with [=VTubers=] outside of hololive]]
* Being an established [=VTuber=] long before hololive's NewbieBoom, Sora has covered many songs in conjecture with some of the most senior [=VTubers=] in the industry.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsBD66Sa5Yg Her cover of "Cendrillon"]] by [=SignalP=] features Virtual Gorilla as the gentlemanly tenor counterpoint for her vocals.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn54OXCuTZs She once teamed up with Aoi Fuji for a cover]] of ''Anime/MacrossFrontier''[='=]s second opening theme, "Lion". The lasting dynamic between the two singers turns the cover into one of the song's best versions.
* Likewise, Suisei has many [=VTuber=] friends outside of hololive who will gladly perform alongside her powerful voice.
** She particularly likes collaborating with Toko Inui of WebAnimation/{{Nijisanji}}, being close friends and fellow gacha spenders on top of being considered the best singers of their respective companies.
*** Their cover of ''VideoGame/EnsembleStars''[='=] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhmFj1owmuk "Tonight in this Moonlit Mansion"]] is aptly released on Halloween 2020, doing the holiday justice with a harmonious duet.
*** For Christmas 2020, they worked together on a cover [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-demdSHuYI "Holy Angel's Carol"]], gracing the holiday with a seamless combination of their powerful voices.
*** For Valentine's Day 2021, they released an upbeat cover of ''Ensemble Stars''[='=]s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiUvL-rp1zg "Melty♡Kitchen"]], with both opting for a cutesy and relaxed tone.
** She teams up with Ruri Asano to cover [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9EZ2KFTbYM "Alive Factor"]] from ''VideoGame/TheIdolmasterMillionLive'', with their voices being better fit for the song's power metal feel than the original singers.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkcCqYk_V1s Her duet cover]] of [[VideoGame/TheIdolmasterCinderellaGirls "Secret Daybreak"]] with Ayame's illustrator, Nana Kagura, is straight up heavenly, with their counterpoints nicely contrasting with each other.
* Fubuki lent her cheerful singing pitch to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW7HXLmSdQA the muse-like sextet cover]] of ''VideoGame/ChaosWars''[='=]s opening song, "Shūtan no Ou to Isekai no Kishi ~The Endia & The Knights~" by Music/SoundHorizon. Here, she co-stars with Ruri Asano, [[Characters/Nijisanji2019 Toko Inui]], [=MiMi=] Kanade, [[Characters/NijisanjiSEEDS Dola]], and Aoi Fuji, with the male narration being done by [[Characters/NijisanjiSeeds Belmond Banderas]].
* Suisei teamed up with ikemen duo Hima Shokudo to cover [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68iRzgy6c00 the acoustic version of Goose House's "Hikaru Nara"]], with the trio of vocals bringing the nostalgia to fans of ''Manga/YourLieInApril'' in full force.
* Together with several other ''VideoGame/UmaMusume''-loving male Vtubers such as Utai Meika, Naruse Naru and Kosaka, Roberu covered the short version of the immensely popular [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOLKpLD68JQ "Umapyoi Densetsu"]], complete with outfits based on their favorite horsegirls!
* Suisei and Nene join Ruri Asano, [=MaiR=] and Saki Akuma for a harmonizing quintet cover of ''Anime/MacrossDelta''[='=]s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiekN5DmNZE "Absolute 5"]], with each of them taking the role of each of Walküre's five vocalists (Ruri as Mikumo, [=MaiR=] as Freyja, Suisei as Kaname, Saki as Reina, and Nene as Makina).
* For her six month anniversary, Iofi collaborated with Iida Pochi to cover [[https://youtu.be/lh5UqNxEbhs Happy Synthesizer]] in an impressive display of harmony and talent.
* Subaru and Ui Shigure's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbYReCtSBbk duo cover of "adrenaline!!!"]] perfectly combines Ui's cute singing voice and Subaru's deeper register for a great high energy duo cover. For many people, the most impressive part was that Ui had improved her "enthusiastic amateur" level of singing to the point where she wasn't out of place alongside Subaru, who is one of the stronger vocal performers in Hololive.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zr8H4B3MYM Moona and Kurono Kureha's cover]] of "[[Music/BlackPink How You Like That]]". Despite Kureha being Japanese and Moona being Indonesian, they both managed to sing the song in fluent Korean, no less.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8I-ynIOAl30 Aruran, Makaino Ririmu, and Lain Paterson's cover]] of ''Manga/SpyXFamily''[='=]s "Mixed Nuts" shows the diverse vocals of Lack's "children", with Ririmu and Lain smoothly hitting the low notes at the verses to go with Aruran's pop star voice throughout.

[[folder:Commonly covered songs]]

* In late 2020 and early 2021, an increasing number of [=VTubers=] covered Kanaria's [[https://youtu.be/cm-l2h6GB8Q "KING"]]. Hololive was no exception - while many of the talents have sung the song in karaoke streams, the following are the ones who have done so in official videos: [[https://youtu.be/fY1CQ5kSRxY Roboco]], [[https://youtu.be/1UId-1TnC4U Shien]] of [[DistaffCounterpart holostars]], [[https://youtu.be/PYzTq7YEPBI Risu]] (Or, perhaps more accurately, [[SymbioticPossession Ayunda]]), [[https://youtu.be/OXAkx5_A9rE Shion]], [[https://youtu.be/f4dJFe4MGcs Matsuri]], [[https://youtu.be/LfI8sxSFtuE Reine]] in an incredible remix with the help of [=REDSHiFT=], [[https://youtu.be/9RBY7u5qas8 Towa]], [[https://youtu.be/OR1Epbc_NNE Watame]], [[https://youtu.be/N9Gqht8POm4 Sora]], [[https://youtu.be/hicAYp7KXKk Kanata]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y8oIuEkqQs Flare]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTO0KnDsVH0 Ayame]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLwtfg57kbs Suisei]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNIhngowViI a Gura and Calli duet]], [[https://youtu.be/1f_LwO9wKK0 Amelia featuring Smol Ame]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw15GATnuXo Ririka]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkzG6xxEDMQ Mio]].
** Those not familiar with Risu's impressive vocal range will more than likely be taken aback by her cover of [[https://youtu.be/PYzTq7YEPBI "KING".]] Despite the song being since covered by many other members Risu's is seen as the definitive version by many due to the sheer power behind her voice.
** What do you do when several other Hololive members (and [=VTubers=] in general) have already done amazing covers of "KING" and expectations are high whenever someone new covers the song? As one commenter wrote in response to Reine's version: "You change the game." [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfI8sxSFtuE Reine's version of "KING"]] is a hard hitting dubstep remix with a very eye catching video to match, complete with animated singing from Reine and flashy animation and art from start to finish that was done in collaboration with [=REDSHiFT=], an Indonesian-based group that does both music work and illustrations.
** Gura and Calli both teamed up to deliver another amazing rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNIhngowViI "KING"]]. Gura providing a slightly childish, somewhat creepy side to the vocals, Calli delivering a more sadistic side along with a fast paced, killer rap in the hook of the song, and both delivering some stunning harmonies in a cover that embraces each girl's unique attributes, as well as the dorkiness of the two. As opposed to the more "serious" nature of "KING" covers, this seemed much more like two professionals goofing off and having fun. All this helped get the song to one million views in a record time of 12 hours, even faster than Calli's solo cover of "Roki"!
---> '''Gura:''' Yeah, fist bump.
---> '''Calli:''' Yeah, dude, that was ''sick.''
* Music/Deco27's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WptXk39wiIQ "Love Words III"]]. Naturally, as a SillyLoveSong about reconciliation, it's unbelievably popular when the time comes for the [=VTubers=] to express their gratitude to their audience.
** Sora's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3PhhbrPod0 version]] (unfortunately privated on her channel) is among the more soothing ones due to being sung with a soft piano backdrop.
** Miko's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZWuK1ljlS0 version]] distinguishes itself from the others by not using illustrations imitating the original, but a full-blown 3D dance video instead. Truly Elite material, indeed.
** Within the same day (June 14, 2020), Flare not only revealed [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5G5FlyPt9s her 3D model]], but also made [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUCoGATqHNU her first appearance]] in the ''Holo no Graffiti'' series and released a cover of DECO*27's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8Z7mUOGEAE "Love Words III"]] displaying the softer end of her impressive vocal range.
** During Kiara's outfit reveal stream on 4 May 2021, she debuted a cover of [=DECO*27's=] "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5IIoZsci8Y Aikotoba III]]" she did with Gura. The cover combines Gura and Kiara's incredible voices with a gorgeous layered harmony from Kiara to transform the song from a tune of two lovers making up after a harsh falling-out into a beautiful celebration of [[TrueCompanions holoEN's friendship]] from their debut.
* DECO*27's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1xCOsgWG0M "The Vampire"]].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jso4f52Pl6Y Shion's take]] displays the full control of her vocal range, dominating the song in the process.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md0TBfwo9rM Polka's version]] radiates joy with a pitch that's higher than Polka's zone of comfort.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBTwQl3YWaQ Rikka's cover]], released on his birthday, has him singing in a gentle, light-hearted, yet mischievous tone.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbPa0Qp3zJQ Aqua's version]] oozes cuteness despite her desire to drink your blood, never mind the fact that she negotiates the MotorMouth portions of the song flawlessly.
** Shortly after she returned from a health-related hiatus, [[https://youtu.be/pCle6CqymLY Iofi worked with Watame]] to put out their own duet cover, providing a solid compliment to each other's voice.
** Mere hours after Iofi and Watame's duet cover, hololive's resident vampire, Mel, also released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tftbi551s8Q her own version]]. On top of her sweet vocals, her MV features unique artwork to distinguish itself from the sea of "The Vampire" covers.
** For Halloween 2021, Kiara released her own [[https://youtu.be/2x86wabH-Qs cover]]. Like Mel's cover, hers presents a unique perspective on her art, as well as offering an English translation to the lyrics.
* Ado's [[https://youtu.be/Qp3b-RXtz4w "Usseewa"]] became very popular to cover in mid-2021. [[https://youtu.be/5fifnky9v_I Shion]], [[https://youtu.be/avbKac24efo Nene]], [[https://youtu.be/S-VngJTUdmE Towa & Kanata]], and [[https://youtu.be/dYvQcVG_dVg Reine]] all put out excellent covers of the song.
** After returning from a break due to health issues, Shion released a sneering rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fifnky9v_I "Usseewa"]] by Ado. Shion's mature voice and confident delivery transforms the song from a young adult chafing against social pressure to conform to a proper career path into an adult looking back contemptuously at those that dared to try and define her path in life.
** Nene's cover of [[https://youtu.be/avbKac24efo "Usseewa" by Ado]] captures the bravado of the original song, while still capturing Nene's signature cheerful energy.
** Towa and Kanata combine their angriest contralto impressions for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-VngJTUdmE a duet cover of "Usseewa" by Ado]]. Things really have gone off the deep end if both the devil and the angel team up to rage against society.
** And now Calli and Milky Queen have joined the party with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWWhjisKKlA their rendition of "Usseewa"]], with Calli singing her heart out and matching Milky in sheer power and aggression.
* [[Manga/ScienceFellInLoveSoITriedToProveIt Turing Love]] is a popular song for pairs of holomembers to cover, including [[https://youtu.be/0OtNQEpSeIA Aqua & Okayu]], [[https://youtu.be/-omKAd_sbFo Suisei & Hibiki Ao]] from outside of hololive, a triple-whammy of [[https://youtu.be/49hhGHTKHLs Fubuki, Oga, and Shien]], [[https://youtu.be/VbLsb2t1qzI Rikka & Matsuri]], [[https://youtu.be/ZRCzLtCsIQs Pekora & Moona]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLSRdi2o-EI Sora & Fuji Aoi]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnUo08GC11Y AZKi & Else]] from outside of hololive. 595* [[https://youtu.be/9QLT1Aw_45s Phony]] became another favorite cover for many of the talents in late 2021 and early 2022. 596* Music/Deco27's [[https://youtu.be/HtBqK6xsQ9k Animal]] swiftly rose to be one of the most commonly covered songs within weeks of its release. Each one has its own charm and strength, whether it's Okayu's somewhat sensuous voice, Botan's surprising cuteness, Fubuki's enduring wholesomeness, Shion's pitch-perfection, Mio's sheer majesty and power, [=MiComet's=] harmony and complementing vocals, Chloe or Mel's adorable vocal prowess, or Polka's sheer energy.

* [[Manga/KaguyasamaLoveisWar "Daddy! Daddy! Do!"]] slowly but steadily rose to becoming a go-to cover for hololive production talents, be it [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-q5aJm0UJE Rikka and Matsuri's]] combination of strength and softness, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YX80lIi36w Risu's]] smoking hot contralto, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cos54QJsb7o Oga's]] powerful baritone, or [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z100QsBYs5I Shinri's]] booming and powerful basso.
* Beginning in late 2022, hololive started covering natori's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H08YWE4CIFQ&t=0s Overdose]]", which became a trend for [=VTubers=] and cover artists alike. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROQapLYbs1w Rikka]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCp5BRgH50s Fuma]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbce3yRBuD8 Shion]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgsci_TN5Jg Polka]] from the Japanese side let it all out singing this calming pop tune, be it with Shion's sweet vocals, Polka's soothing energy, Fuma's vocal range, or Rikka's pitch perfection. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiw9Z1I1AcE Kobo]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdrwHNtz3Zg Reine]] from the Indonesian side showcase their capabilities with Reine using her powerful yet soothing vocals and Kobo using her deep "Cebo" voice.
* Early into 2023, a handful of hololive talents have covered Music/HoneyWorks' "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4xLi8IF1FM Kawaikute Gomen]]".
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFKpgozTers Aqua's version]] showcases Aqua's cutesy vocals to go with a cute love song like this.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDueRRGIKzw Zeta's version]] combined the cuteness and smoothness of Zeta's vocals with a short monologue of her saying "I'm cute, right?" at the end. Bonus points for having the illustrations done by Zeta herself.

** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92tvv7PgKeI Calli's version]], released during White Day 2023, is a far cry from her usual rapper persona. She can become a cutie for one song and still sound good doing it.
* To all ''Manga/ChainsawMan'' fans, hololive presents the various covers of Music/KenshiYonezu's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2cckDmNLMI KICK BACK]]".
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wG3rtD1GP4 Reine's version]] shows off the versatility of her vocals that make her sound like a diva.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5czz3xhwTw Kanata's version]] shows why the angel is called a "Perfect Pitch Tenshi" with her wide range of vocals, while combining it with a manga-styled MV.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E8UnMbwhBM ShadowGear's version]] has Rikka attempt a Kenshi Yonezu impression with Shien providing the smoother side of the vocals for extra awe.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS0ViXWoWHw Polka's version]], instead of going for the low octave, has Polka sing in an impressive high octave as she almost flawlessly nails the absurdly high notes. The MV also parodies the original while combining it with some elements of the anime's opening.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1V6xqIHgjA Axel]] gives his best Kenshi Yonezu impression with his gruff vocals and nigh metal-like screams.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UQRsfw_Jro Lui]] gives us a more elegant version of the song with her soft, sweet, and mature vocals which still makes the song kick as much ass as the original. The fact that it was released on Lui Day (June 1st) with improved lyrics[[note]]The initial version was privated due to a mistake in the lyrics.[[/note]] makes it all the more fitting to celebrate such a special day.
* Yukopi's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6DVTLvOupE Kyoufuu All Back]]" became an instant viral hit on the internet within days, with hololive joining the fray not long after.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2jl3QIoVws Miko's version]] is suited to her high-pitched voice with an MV that almost parodies the original with a few twists. Bonus points for having the MV done by hololive fan animator [=YUUSHA04=].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xc3TQCsyN8 Ollie's version]] adds screams and personal sound effects by Ollie herself to add flair to the cover, combined with an MV drawn and animated by Phalnoa, another hololive fan content contributor.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_iTJtH7QAU Matsuri's version]] has an MV that notably features Shuba-duck, Crow, Hatotaurus, and Shubangelion holding the heads of Pekomiko. Other [=VTubers=] outside of hololive are also credited as contributions to her cover such as Hoshikawa Sara and Elu of NIJISANJI and Aizawa Ema of [=VSpo=].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU2m_Dh5mS4 Fubuki's version]] showcases her smooth and sweet vocals in a short song and she does it by doing a human-like VOCALOID impression with the short notes like the original.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjeD89hEyZY Koyori's version]] is just as cute as she is with a cute MV featuring Kokoro, Crow, Ganmo, Pokobee, [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and Chloe]] to represent Secret Society holoX as a whole.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyzR-J17RBQ Kiara's version]] brings her own distinct vocal flair into the mix, with its MV including all of her [=HoloMyth=] genmates and their mascots at various points.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMQ4P-vI3JI Gura's version]] was released as a tie-in to the reveal of her then-newest outfit, which was a schoolgirl costume. Turns out her natural Japanese singing voice works perfectly with the song, backed up by a fluidly animated MV with absolutely adorable animations of Bloop and the Membershrimps.
** Hololive would eventually release [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-oOoC-XK5Q a mashup]] that combines Kiara, Ollie, Miko, Fubuki, Matsuri, Koyori, Kanata, and Marine[[note]]although Marine is only in for about a minute, as her cover was a short instead of the full song[[/note]]. This would lead many fans to create their own mashups.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMQ4P-vI3JI IRyS' version]] matches the cheerful musical score with her peppy, upbeat voice. Like Gura's cover, it's aided by super-cute visuals courtesy of [[https://twitter.com/lienliensn lienliensn]], a Twitter artist who's done a lot of fanart of her and who contributed assets to ''VideoGame/DeliveringHope''.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaVIJw6Lcc0 Bijou's version]] was released for AprilFoolsDay of 2024, and is yet another perfect combination which fits her sweet, meme-loving personality. It's backed up by ad-lib additions from the rest of Advent as well as unique animations by Advent fanartist [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjbbJk8U2KAv18ZzIu6P4ug Ludokano]], including multiple in-jokes related to Biboo's past streams.
* Hololive shows that they an idol group with various covers of "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRtdQ81jPUQ Idol]]" by Music/{{YOASOBI}}, the song that opens ''Manga/OshiNoKo''.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmZRrKEqG2M Calli's version]] showcases why the reaper is also a rapper with her improved Japanese bars.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDuoUAAU0ug Kanata's version]] gets the full treatment after briefly appearing as a [[https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xIi1CtFYkvo short]], and she shows that she is the Perfect Ultimate Tenshi, with her versatile range.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzUvOnCzWMA Nene's version]] is just as cutesy as she is, and the MV itself just adds to her cuteness if combined with her sweet vocals.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZSLSAFqzAA Koyori]] proves that even a scientist can be an idol with her rapping that can almost be considered on par with Calli.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww5FLCKPsQw Hakka]], the first male in holopro to cover the song, gives his best shonen idol impression that puts Hakkitos in awe, showing a steady progress in his ability to sing in fluent Japanese.
** [[https://youtu.be/UpbpwXAEJl4 IRyS]] let her cute angelic side show for herself with an MV that almost parodies Videogame/{{NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD}} at the beginning of the song. She also sings with cute idol-like vocals throughout befitting her angel half.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTrm_idbhUk "Aishite, Aishite, Aishite..."]] by Kikuo.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1GH-04ebzo Izuru's cover]] showcases his vocal range perfectly, with him delivering an awesome performance and playing up a CreepyChild image giving the song an even more eerie feel.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2GSUd-rhlE Zeta's cover]], released to celebrate her half-year anniversary, demonstrates her soft and smooth singing voice in a similar manner to an obsessed girlfriend.
** Shortly after her debut, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWU3o_kDixc Nerissa]] released an English-language version as a showcase of her vocal capabilities.
** In May after Armis's first half-anniversary, Octavio released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaPjoKpm7xk his version]]. The cover shows off his impressive range with his constantly-shifting pitches, menacing whispers, operatic high notes and a ''terrifyingly'' deranged and primal scream to close off the last verse.

!!Sora Tokino
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT6Pf28eCgQ Her cover]] of "Alien Alien", by far the most viewed video in her channel, serves as an excellent showcase of her vocal range, which easily reaches astonishing heights. It also features dancing Ankimo.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eATUgteLHLo Her cover]] of "Dear Doppelgänger" shows off her flawless vocal capabilities by nailing the lyrics and managing to keep up with the very fast tempo of the song. The MV itself is also a reference to her role as Shino in ''ERROR'', with her past and present incarnations appearing together. The song itself wouldn't sound out of place as Shino's de facto image song.
!!Suisei Hoshimachi
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wNSFmqhQsU Suisei's cover]] of "[[Anime/ZombielandSaga Saga Jihen]]" (supported by the 3rd generation cast) demonstrates her powerful vocals and has even [[CoveredUp surpassed the original]] in views.
* [[https://youtu.be/fUbGZvSGH34 Suisei has the]] [[Music/Maroon5 Moves Like Jagger]]. Not bad for someone who put up a disclaimer on the stream that she's 'not very good at English'.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpkWFnRPd-M Her cover]] of ''Manga/{{Bleach}}''[='=]s thirteenth opening song, "Melody of the Wild Dance" by SID. Suisei's powerful voice shines here as a wave of nostalgia hits ''Bleach'' fans while acknowledging the cover's quality as on par with the original.
* Suisei covers [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq4v5eJxhf0 Calli's "Red" from the "Your Mori" EP]], using katakana to assist with its lyrics. She delivers a fantastic cover and maneuvers through the fast rap despite not being very fluent at English!
* During her [[https://youtu.be/-cWxSCiPKk4 stream to 400k subs]], Suisei put on a stunning performance of [[https://youtu.be/65Ml9wlrnRA Hikari]], perhaps better known as [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Simple and Clean]], by [[Music/UtadaHikaru Utada Hikaru]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KUZHKI-BDk Her cover of "Lower one's eyes"]] (specifically the version made for [[Characters/HatsuneMikuColorfulStageNightcordAt2500 Nightcord at 25:00]]) features a powerful refrain that makes it clear Suisei is one step removed from bellowing it.

!!Miko Sakura
* As part of her celebration for reaching 1 million subscribers on her channel two months prior, Miko covered [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K57XcDsUl6A "Akari is here"]] by Music/{{GYARI}} (who also created WebVideo/VOMSProject), replacing some of the onomatopoeias with her own brand of Elite vocabulary.

!![=AZKi=]
* Her first song (and by extension, her very first video) is a [[https://youtu.be/SdgFVX0FsgE calming piano version]] of "Just Be Friends", a song of heartache during a breakup. The emotion of sadness and longing she portrays in her voice adds to the overall somber song.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 1]]
!!Haato Akai (Haachama)
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8TnOhIxN90 "Echo"]] perfectly captures the original's sense of being creepy and catchy at the same time. Made doubly fitting in hindsight as part of the Haato/Haachama lore, with Haato being the "white" to Haachama's "black".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 2]]
!!Aqua Minato
* Aqua's parody of [[{{VisualNovel/Clannad}} Dango Daikazoku]], appropriately titled [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eYAUwqRTzM YAGOO Daikazoku,]] is great for two reasons: First, it was completely unplanned. She was doing a karaoke stream and had originally planned to sing the original version of the song, but her chat had asked her to do a YAGOO version. She then took a few minutes to write new lyrics on the spot. Second, the presentation of it (as well as the origins of the song) gives her version the exact same feelings of bittersweet loss that the original had, with several commenters noting that her rendition sounds like it would be performed whenever a member of Hololive graduates.
* Her cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fTmEfBvp50 "ubiquitous db"]] from ''Anime/SwordArtOnlineTheMovieOrdinalScale'' hits all the right notes, with her soft voice reminding fans that she's indeed an idol.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N_HwrzWCac Her cover of "Goodbye Declaration" by Chinozo]] quickly establishes itself as Aqua's cutesy pitch flawlessly nails all the difficult high notes in the song. It also goes on record for shattering the fastest time for any hololive solo cover to reach 1 million views at four days and seven hours since its release, slightly edging out Ayame's cover of "KING" in the same week... until the record was broken by Ayame's own cover of "Goodbye Declaration" at 60 hours, then Calli's "Roki" at 48 hours, then Calli and Gura's "KING" at 12 hours.

!!Ayame Nakiri
* Not backing down after Aqua's "Goodbye Declaration" edged out her cover of "KING" in reaching the 1 million views mark in the shortest time, Ayame belted out [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1W4c7ym49Y her own version of "Goodbye Declaration"]], blending her cutesy singing pitch with a healthy dose of Vocaloid-like synthetic voice. This unique cover ended up shattering the million views mark in less than 60 hours!

!!Subaru Oozora
* Subaru's covers of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqbs83FzSws You/Dear You]], a well-known song from ''VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry'', is downright surprising due to the vocal dissonance with her "normal" voice being loud and boisterous, and is the vocal equivalent of SheCleansUpNicely.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:GAMERS]]
!!Mio Ookami
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l_6oIGTrbg Mio's cover]] of "[[Anime/YourName Sparkle]]" by RADWIMPS is absolutely radiant and every bit as emotional as the original piece.

!!Okayu Nekomata
* Her cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP08-jP1-7Y "Otome Dissection"]] showcases her deep voice and reworks the [[DrivenToSuicide dark context]] of the song into being about Okayu messing around with her harem without changing a word.
* Okayu's gentle singing truly draws out the melancholy of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4muYzftomAE "Flos"]]. While the tune is sorrowful, the cover shows more hope with the stills of Okayu's grandmother taking her in, Okayu meeting the rest of GAMERS, and the last shot of Okayu with a bright smile on her face for the future.
* As a Christmas present, Okayu brought [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PYi1080Q7k "Petri of Lost Pleasure"]] to life with her smooth vocals. The visuals accentuate the descent into debauchery and sin with Okayu as a SmugSmiler biting into a TemptingApple while the Onigiriyaa scramble over themselves to reach the center, a reflection of how the Onigiriyaa are lured in by Okayu and find themselves serving time for her crimes.

!!Korone Inugami
* Korone's cover of the theme of ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgeuRSawFaw Bomber King]]'' (AKA: ''VideoGame/RoboWarrior'') is a delightful mix of retro-style chiptunes and Korone's energetic singing.
* Korone took the majority of November 2021 off from streaming entirely, but she returned on the very last day of the month and announced her return in a truly triumphant fashion with a cover of the ''VideoGame/FireEmblem'' [[https://youtu.be/7jk8e94Cr7U main theme]]. Okayu and Kanata provided backing vocals for the chorus, and in the credits under "Sound" is none other than ''Creator/YuzoKoshiro'' himself. All in all, the cover is an energetic and badass romp that signals that [[HesBack Korone is back]], and in fine form too.
* Korone's cover of [[https://youtu.be/bwDtfhC_QTg "Identity"]] shows off her impressive voice range as she does a SoloDuet via both her regular voice and a very different, far deeper voice, with some commenters having admitted to having not realized that this ''wasn't'' a collab at first.
* As part of a dual celebration (her 2023 birthday and finally playing through ''VideoGame/Mother3''), Korone released a cover of the series' iconic theme song "[[https://youtu.be/Za9BWNQaJYI Pollyanna]]", with her sweet vocals making the song even more emotionally resonant.

!!Usada Pekora
* During her karaoke stream to 1.5 million subs, Pekora showed both her newfound love for [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyX Final Fantasy X]], which she had just finished, and her singing talents both with a cover of [[https://youtu.be/dBiI_EM0Ckc "Suteki da ne"]].

!!Flare Shiranui
* Flare's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1M_MllbaBs take on YOASOBI's "RGB"]] blows away all expectations with on-point vocals and a stellar MV.
* Flare gets to score a collab with popular J-pop singer KOTOKO in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSXJ-FN_JZQ a duet cover of the latter's tried-and-true "Sakuranbo-kiss"]], with their voices blending together in this upbeat 2022 mix.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 4]]
!!Kanata Amane
* When even Suisei says that she wishes to have Kanata's voice, you know you've got one of the best singers in all of hololive; her phenomenal vocal range says it all.
** Kanata Amane's take on a famous Japanese folk dance, "Sōuran Bushi". All done in catchy ''acapella''. [[https://youtu.be/jFCD9KB-COQ All together now,]] ''Ha~ Dokkoisho! Dokkoisho! (Dokkoisho! Dokkoisho!) Soran! Soran! (Soran! Soran!)'' Kanata would then complete the joke mere days after Coco's graduation by releasing [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK4v-Xjx7mM a rad EDM remix of it]] with the help of Hiro Kanzaki, giving a modern take on the fishing song; she also revamps the lyrics to include her RunningGag of being too strong for this world, as well as the promise to stream everyday. The remix's release date also coincides with the first anniversary of her 3D debut, where she also sang "Sōuran Bushi".
** Kanata's first single is a cover of DECO*27's ever popular [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzwYKoKN_KE "Ghost Rule"]], with her rich vocals steadily keeping up with the pace of a song that's clearly meant for [=VOCALOIDs=].
** Her version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGXZNHNhI0I "Uma to Shika"]] sounds like she's both gasping for breath and like she could break down crying at any moment.
** Her SoloDuet [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BI2YFYWnjc cover of Ringo Sheena's "The Narrow Way"]] has both her soft feminine voice and her deep, ikemen-like tone of full display, dazzling the audience with the contrast between the two sets of vocals.
** Kanata's live cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daoMoaMVZDg "Rettou Joutou"]] has her not only sing both distinct male and female voices effortlessly, but also hold a high note for 13 seconds at full volume.
** Her cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HylJNyMuzU "Outsider" by E ve]] has her climb a pitch higher than the already difficult pitch of the original's, hitting all the top notes without fail.
** Naturally, whoever covers DECO*27's "Ghost Rule" cannot ignore its counterpart, "Hibana", and Kanata follows the rule. At the end of her birthday stream on April 22, 2021, she released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USrIMGRBA78 a cover of said counterpart]], where she once again demonstrates her tremendous pitch control.
** Following the closure of Coco's graduation, Kanata released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L8eoqaZ6WU a cover of supercell's "Song of the beginning towards the end"]] as a heartfelt goodbye to her dearest friend. Fittingly, the lyrics reflect Kanata's burden of being the person who was always by Coco's side through the hardest times, from beginning to end. Nearly half a year later, Kanata would pick the last song on the same album, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qmAo83zOUg "Watashi E"]], for what would have been Coco's second debut anniversary. True to the song's purpose as a melancholic piano epilogue to supercell's "Kimino Shiranai Monogatari", Kanata's lament brings closure to the void felt back in July 1st, 2021.

!!Coco Kiryu
* During her last 3d birthday event, Coco sings [[https://youtu.be/l5klL4OzcqQ "Baka Mitai"]], the iconic ''VideoGame/Yakuza0'' song by her namesake/"husband", Kazuma Kiryu.
* As one last gift to her fans before her graduation, Coco presents a cover of [[https://youtu.be/f_djNpDqm3Q "Fansa by mona, Produced by HoneyWorks"]]. Despite being a cover, the song reflects Coco's career as an idol with hololive, both the good and the painful times she's had with the company. Needless to say, many fans were left emotional with how perfectly the song reflected her coming graduation.

!!Watame Tsunomaki
* Almost every Monday (Japan Standard Time) she hosts Watame no Uta, a series of daily videos showcasing her ever-improving talent while helping start the week for the viewers. The series includes vocal training exercises, Tsunomaki Janken, which is a pre-recorded RockPaperScissors with a catchy build-up melody, and especially Watame's song covers, which brings her flexible singing talent to light. One such cover she's done is [[https://youtu.be/Uxtc3yuGoAM "TKGのうた"]], a fast-paced upbeat rap song about cooking up a Japanese dish GoneHorriblyWrong. Those that know nothing about Watame would think she's play a more calming or less frantic type of song would be proven wrong with her [[MotorMouth fast-paced vocals]].
* Watame closed her 3D debut stream [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wat_VjhAFnU with a powerful live cover of "SKILL"]] by JAM Project, which also featured her signature headbanging! She also regularly streams "Watame Night Fever" on Saturday evenings, where she sings for several hours.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBaIR-yvjdk Her cover of "Sweet Devil"]] makes heavy use of a synthetic filter that makes her vocals nigh-identical to the original ones by Hatsune Miku.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3UTywBDSW4 "What an amazing swing"]] is a bombastic ElectroSwing single, made in collaboration with Music/FakeType, that once again displays Watame's sheer flexibility with her vocals, including a fair bit of rapping after the chorus. As an added bonus, the song is accompanied by an absolutely stunning 3D animated music video.

!!Towa Tokoyami
* Towa showcases her ''godly'' vocals with her cover of [[https://youtu.be/2D0B3wTjE20 "brilliant"]]. Her impressive vocal range and powerful singing voice invokes a sense of awe in many listeners who expected her to sing in the same raspy talking voice. The cover became so well-known it [[CoveredUp exceeded]] the original version in [=YouTube=] views.
* Her cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ3gmQzpvBM "Kuroi Hitsuji"]] by Music/Keyakizaka46 features Towa and her [[SelfBackingVocalist self-voiced chorus]] in a lamentation of the singer, a black sheep who thinks that everything's their fault for not fitting in and that it'd be better if they were gone, yet they refuse to toss away their individuality. On its own it's poignant enough, but in the context of Towa who had the rockiest start of 4th gen, the least amount of subscribers in hololive JP at the time of the cover's debut, and a tight schedule that prevents her from collaborating frequently, the song becomes incredibly fitting. "My pace," indeed.
* Another example is her [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2bG6ADenQc cover of "Planet Loop"]] in her 3D debut live stream. Contrary to what the kenzoku expects, Towa sings it in a deep voice that can relate to being "angelic" than "devilish".
* Her [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UV8OZj2olg cover of "ERROR"]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMhFUYOQnKE debuted at the end of her 3D debut live stream]], is an impressive demonstration of her singing, as she hits the stray high note in the chorus without wavering in strength through the rest of the song.

!!Luna Himemori
* As part of her 2020 Birthday stream she performed an adorable cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onYOYxXcyzA "Hajimete no Chuu (EN: My First Kiss)"]]. A very cute song that well suits the young princess.
* For the 2021 Birthday stream she performed a cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPQFsU7ichI "Sweets Parade"]], which is a long list of various dessert items, perfect for the Candy Kingdom Princess.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 5]]
!!Nene Momosuzu
* As a tribute to Aloe, Nene had promised to practice "Happy Synthesizer" until she could perfect it. [[https://youtu.be/iNEFwKDQ9eg On Halloween 2020]], she fulfilled that promise by performing a raw vocal version with piano accompaniment, with significant improvement from her first performance of the song several weeks prior when she made the promise.

!!Aloe Mano
* As part of her debut stream, [[https://youtu.be/dl1PCeldW-s Aloe sings "Happy Synthesizer"]]. Unlike most of Hololive, Aloe employs [[AutoTune Vocoded vocals]], befitting of the {{Music/Vocaloid}} song. While the song itself is a cheery, upbeat and motivating love song about not letting the sour moments get in the way of a good time, it takes on [[HarsherInHindsight a somber tone]] in light of Aloe's departure from Hololive, particularly the lyrics at the start:
-->Happy Synthesizer, for you I'll play you a melody\
That will reach deep into your heart

!!Polka Omaru
* Despite the trend of many talent performing a cover of "KING", Polka instead covered [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpoysjZfWrU "ENVY BABY"]], another of Kanaria's songs. The more upbeat nature of the song fits in perfectly with her own playful disposition, and the themes of the lyrics being an allegorical circus also align very well with her own theming.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iw0FJmgwdPQ "Empress"]] showcases Polka's deep-range vocals, which become near unrecognizable until she hits the higher notes.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfrS_3gRdrg "Bakushou"]] showcases Polka's powerful vocals, with lyrics befitting her as a circus clown, as shown with the {{laugh|ingmad}} at the beginning of the song.
* From one of her karaoke streams, Polka's [[https://youtu.be/lSjXYSsHOkc cover]] of "[[Literature/{{Bakemonogatari}} Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari]]" gets to showcase her more impassioned vocals, showing that her singing's not always fun and games and can be genuinely touching.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Generation 6 -[=holoX=]-]]
!!La+ Darknesss
* While La+ premiered her first cover song after Lui's "EYE" and Koyori's "Luma", the diminutive demon's rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTb_AvLchgY PinnochioP's "God-ish"]] features extremely skilled voice control, what with the marked breathiness at opportune moments and rapid pitch escalation in a song with a very uneven rhythm.
* La+ does her BGM provider Osanzi justice [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UYDpa8Zt9I by covering the latter's "LiFE"]], matching the original's bullet-speed lyrics with ludicrous precision.

!!Lui Takane
* Lui dropped her first music video just fifteen minutes after her debut ended, with it being [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=dkCPkLmU7l4 a cover of Kanaria's EYE]], fittingly.
* Lui's breathy voice shines in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jDkn2TzxJk her cover]] of Hiiragi Kirai's maddening jazz/swing song "Love ka?".

!!Koyori Hakui
* Like Lui, Koyori comes out in force right after her debut stream by releasing [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmFbqPRFz_8 a cover of "Luma"]], with her upbeat pitch nicely contrasting with the rocky instrumentals.

!!Chloe Sakamata
* Chloe's cover of [[https://youtu.be/geEGzouutR4 "Chimera"]] is quite a thing of beauty, with vocals that showcase the orca's vocal range brilliantly and an MV that displays the duality of her adorable outward personality and her role as the Secret Society's one-woman CleanupCrew.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:holostars]]
!!Miyabi Hanasaki
* His duet cover with Izuru, Natsushiro Takaaki's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmT3Z2TQkEU "Universe"]], a powerful song about moving forward and persevering - because you are the main character of your own story. Considering the rough start Holostars had, the song takes on new meaning when you realize that Miyabi and Izuru are part of its starting group, and Izuru believing that the song fit Miyabi well.
* For his birthday, Miyabi released a cover of Music/Deco27's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STBJ_N3YLiw&t=134s "Stickybug"]]. It perfectly shows off the cute, soft quality of his voice, and as a bonus, his brother also contributed to the video with his illustrations as well.
* Miyabi had once mentioned that he wouldn't sing Honeywork's '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAp77w18FXg Fansa]]' until he obtain his 3D model. Sure enough, on the day of his 3D debut, he made good on his promise and sang his heart out.

!!Izuru Kanade
* His cover of Kairiki Bear's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUxsxV-Ml0o& "Venom"]] showcases Izuru's strength in voice control, making the cover his own.
* Although short, his cover of Surii's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsUybM5cJUc "Telecaster B-boy"]] is a great example of showing off the quality of his unique, raspy voice, which arguably brings a lot more character to the cover.
* For his 2nd debut anniversary, Izuru released a cover of Orangestar's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj1XOWOxTho "Spinning Sky Rabbit"]], a soulful song that shows off his powerful range to the fullest.

!!Astel Leda
* Astel's cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRCytQ4gtOg "One More Time, One More Chance"]] by Masayoshi Yamazaki is just as soulful as the original.
* His cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D-tcQjYf28 "Envy Baby"]] gives him the opportunity to turn up the sexier aspects of his vocal range. His 'sister' Ollie gets to join in by singing the English parts, too!
* For his birthday, Astel released his cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-XSkvEVg20&t=139s "Mela!"]]. However, what makes this one special is that it not only uses an original arrangement, but he created the MV together with his fans. Notably, the illustrations used and the backing chorus were all contributed by those in his membership - and the credits also reveal that the other Holostar members joined in too!

!!Temma Kishido
* Temma's cover of flumpool's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7bRLFkcdiE "Kimi ni Todoke"]], released on his 1st debut anniversary. His boyish, soft voice gives the cover a cute quality that's exclusively Temma's.
* Proving that he continues to be the cutest member of Holostars, Temma's version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTCInki1Ew8 "Happy Synthesizer"]] just oozes absolute cuteness, as well as shows his improvement in his singing.

!!Roberu Yukoku
* On his first anniversary, Roberu released a cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ9Uq8z_pug "Chicken Rice"]] by Masatoshi Hamada, a surprisingly appropriate song that touches on a child's devotion to their parents as they reflect on Christmas Day, the date where Roberu first debuted (and a potential reference to his overseas fanbase commonly being called his 'parents')
* During his 3D reveal stream, Roberu concluded the stream by singing [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aG9O8w-45wU&t=107s "Fukuwarai"]] by Yuu Takahashi, a sincere, bright song about how the universal language of the world is to smile - something that Roberu has always done his best to achieve with his streams.
* For his birthday in 2021, Roberu released a cover of Super Beaver's '[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0-mDEzbzl4 Rashisa]]', a song that asks what it means to be oneself. It's a rather reflective song about remaining as you are, presented in a rock ballad, and very much matches his views on himself and those around him: that they are them, and he is himself.

!!Shien Kageyama
* Shien's cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMUxZaE-odM "MAFIA"]] by Wotaku perfectly captures his mafia boss image. He drops his voice to a much lower pitch and has a slightly bored expression in it, giving him the vibe of an experienced, emotionally worn-out godfather, but [[https://youtu.be/QMUxZaE-odM&t=2m12s the voice crack at 2:12]] shows the mischievousness that still exists in him; all of which work incredibly well with the song. Made more awesome with the laugh after the first chorus and a GratuitousEnglish [[StrawNihilist nihilistic]] speech he wrote himself as the song nears its end.
-->The chaos and order in this world\
All absurdities and realities\
In this cesspool of a place\
There is no mercy for traitors\
Ah, my crimson stained hands\
You caused it all\
If you want to blame someone\
blame your own fate\
You should know this by now, that this world is [[ItIsBeyondSaving beyond salvation]].
* Once again proving that Wotaku fits him like a glove, Shien makes a cover of [[https://youtu.be/98aqmvP2-xk "Shanti"]]. His usual playful personality helps him nail the mischievous yet dangerous vibe of the song perfectly while also exudes some hints of sultriness; and he completely ''slays'' the rapping part.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Indonesia]]
!!Ayunda Risu
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw9SUSvWBN0 Her cover]] of "[[Franchise/LoveLive Snow Halation]]" is impressive. Doubly so when you realize she's singing a duet with [[SoloDuet herself]]!
* Risu's cover of Suisei's signature song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kb7skBq8bY "Stellar Stellar"]] (during a Website/YouTube Music Weekend, of all events) puts into perspective just how ''goddamn good'' Risu's voice is. There is a ''good reason'' why even [[TheAce Suisei herself]] considers the squirrel to be "the Music/CelineDion of Hololive". Mighty praise indeed, and it is very, very well earned.

!!Moona Hoshinova
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr3Z9qtBk7k Her cover of K/DA's "VILLAIN"]] matches the original in its full, sadistic glory, making you root for Moona as the FemmeFatale villainess she's making herself out to be in the song.

!!Airani Iofifteen
* Iofi's cover of [[https://youtu.be/jaf_SBcDhFU "Alien, Alien"]] is a wonderfully thematic demonstration of her vocal talents.

!!Kureiji Ollie
* Who would have expected Ollie to rock out with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLOSu6ocgUU her cover of "Kyouran Hey Kids!"]] by The Oral Cigarettes? Her upbeat personality combined with her loud mouth makes this song a good choice for her first solo cover. True, her voice cracks during the chorus, but if the comments are anything to go by, that only makes the song sound ''better'' by adding a touch of {{Grunge}}.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IG4BYARwZI Her Indonesian cover of RAN's "Saling Merindu"]] has her blow listeners away with her deeper voice range and hot bars, making for a smooth interpretation of the song.
* What does Ollie, the ultimate fangirl of Hololive, do to celebrate one million subscriptions? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn5Ym8OJtus Release a 19-minute medley of over 30 Holo-Production songs.]] With everyone in hololive and holostars having an absolute range of voices, Ollie gets to show off her chops covering a song from almost every member.

%%!!Pavolia Reine

%%!!Vestia Zeta

!!Kaela Kovalskia
* As an avid ''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends'' player, Kaela capped her 2022 birthday with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRg1OuBU_i8 a cover of "Phoenix"]], demonstrating controlled vocals that hit very close to the original's tone. This, along with her singing bout in the branch's group cover of "Bebas", marks a significant improvement in her singing ability over the months.

!!Kobo Kanaeru
* Kobo's cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fLie0tmhcA Tondemo Wonders by sasakure.UK]] is fit for someone as upbeat as her for a demonstration of her vocal talents. To add to its awesomeness, this is the same song used to commemorate her having 1 million subscribers during a stream of ''VideoGame/HatsuneMikuColorfulStage''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English -Myth-]]
!!Calliope Mori
* Before starting her cover of [[https://youtu.be/M4shflYdXf8?t=3605 "Sakura Days"]], Calli talks about how important the song is to her as a reminder of a time when she was just starting to create music and to remember where she came from as she looks at where she is currently. The song itself is in a lower register than she says she's used to, but as soon as she starts singing, it's immediately obvious how much effort she put into it as she performs it spot-on, showcasing how soulful and beautiful her voice can be.
* During an unarchived karaoke stream, Calliope raps a few verses of [[Music/{{Eminem}} "Godzilla"]], known for its [[MotorMouth really fast lyrics]]. She pulls it off almost perfectly, enunciating so well that even the infamously inaccurate [=YouTube=] automated captions [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXBla6USb78 can keep up with her rapping!]]
* Calli dropped an English cover of the Vocaloid song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nI1CDsNZI0 "Roki"]] with her own translation of the lyrics that not only fit the original tone, but match her own rap style. This incredible fusion of rap with rock and roll went on to reach 1 million views far quicker than the previous record holder (Ayame's "Goodbye Declaration"), and premiered at the very same time Suisei was singing "Red" in her karaoke stream; to say May 31 was a wild day would be a major {{understatement}}.
* In another unarchived karaoke stream, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exaTlJW1jZk Calli goes the full distance with Eminem's "Godzilla"]], and kills the final part from her last big stream.
* Much like with Reine's cover of "KING", Calli took [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4vzp9MCg1w "ENVY BABY"]] and changed the instrumentation (in addition to providing a lyrical translation she wrote herself) to make it come off as a completely different song from the original version and gave it a much more intense feel.
* After an unarchived stream full of covers of angsty rock, Calli took everyone by surprise by blasting out her rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojkzd5bgwXU&t=99s Dragonforce's "Through the Fire and Flames"]].

!!Kiara Takanashi
* Kiara featured KIRA's "4BLOOD" among one of her covered songs for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0lICCjnuDs her 2022 3D birthday concert]], but also later released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fwc-LH8IGj8 a standalone MV]] with phenomenal sound mixing, matching the original's vocal range and energy.

!!Ina'nis Ninomae
* While it has become something of a meme within the community to reference whenever something "tragic" happens to one of the EN girls, Ina's cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-hRYCpm8wQ "Unravel"]] was met with unanimous praise from both her audience and other members of hololive due to how well she was able to present it and how difficult it is to sing.
* Ina and Calli hosted a recorder collab which is comedic for most part as both streamers gave half-hearted covers of various songs. Ina blows it out of the park at the end [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcVxoTsXM_4 with her cover of "Unravel"]] that sounds just as emotional as the original song despite the "cursed" instrument.
* Ina's pick for her 2022 pre-birthday cover song is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=injd7gHrIGU ReoNa's "Nainai"]] of ''Manga/ShadowsHouse'' fame. Passionate inflection for her soothing vocals and ElegantGothicLolita illustrations of herself--drawn by herself-- are among the highlights of the associated MV.

!!Gura Gawr
* Towards the end of her debut stream, Gura decided to showcase her vocals with a live cover. The chat expected a cute or meme-laden song selection befitting her TokenMiniMoe status. Her choice? [[FutureFunk City Pop]] classic [[https://youtu.be/dBK0gKW61NU?t=2609 Ride on Time by Tatsurō Yamashita]]. The chat was surprised and impressed in equal measure. It was so awesome that Gura finally performed the song in a duet with Marine during the latter's 3rd anniversary 3D concert.
* Gura strikes again with a karaoke stream, which unfortunately had to be privated to avoid getting copyright struck. Fans picked up the slack, preserving all thirteen songs (including a second take of Ride on Time). The highlight is an acoustic cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82T8yOG5MTk "Fly Me to the Moon"]], featuring on-point improvisation and surprising charm.
* Who loves Christmas? Gura loves Christmas! And it shows in her cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGrx2E-6gzM "It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas"]]!
* During her [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTwHCC4stu8 [=[2MILLION PARTY]=]]], she sang various songs from the other hololive idols, including "Hinotori", "[[Characters/HololiveMoriCalliopeCh Live Again]]", "[[Characters/HololiveSuiseiChannel NEXT COLOR PLANET]]", "[[Characters/HololiveHaatoCh Red Heart]]", "Ahoy! We Are the Houshou Pirates!", among others. Gura's cute voice and energy gives the idols who originally sang already-awesome songs a real run for their money.
* In an unarchived karaoke, Gura covered [[https://youtu.be/Y_6Ev8ZJGvA Song of the Ancients]]. Considering the song is performed in Chaos, a language that only exists in the world of VideoGame/{{Nier}}, a tremendous amount of effort was pit into not only learning how to sing it, but to actually match the lyrics which aren't actually real.
* Gura broadens her karaoke range with Music/{{Sabaton}}'s "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-5kAK7vRUU The Last Stand]]".

!!Amelia Watson
* Amelia may not be the best at singing, but a regular choice of her karaoke streams is "Kiss Me". Hearing her sing it channels an entirely different image from her usual memetic reputation. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cnXbYNIKLo Here]] is a compilation melding six instances of this song into a fine chorus.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English - Project: HOPE]]
* [=IRyS=]'s debut stream has her audience immediately hooked the moment she performed a cover of ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion''[='=]s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTU3TIZRUCM&t=50m38s "Cruel Angel's Thesis"]] live.
* If her first EP wasn't enough to cement that she's earned her [=VSinger=] position, [=IRyS=] demonstrates her incredible versatility by releasing weekly covers of original hololive songs.
** Her first cover is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCf4mFiR--w AZKi's "Inochi"]], bringing a more hopeful outlook on the song with her upbeat tone. Even [=AZKi=] herself [[https://twitter.com/AZKi_VDiVA/status/1416590991021117441?s=20 is impressed!]]
** The second week has her belt out a cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53rJX52p3G8 Towa's "Palette"]], with [=IRyS=]'s soothing vocals managing to convey as much emotion as the original.
** The third week features Suisei's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzEEffCJOjs "GHOST"]], differing from the original's sheer power with gentle, crystal clear vocals.
** [=IRyS=] caps off the first month of weekly covers with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDN9o6GQdm4 "Shiny Smily Story"]], asserting her place in hololive's great family. For a song that's meant to be performed as a group, [=IRyS=] manages to hit all the high notes by her lone self, further proving why she was chosen as a [=VSinger=].
* Her first unarchived singing stream noticeably has her come forth with her take on Music/RickAstley's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTf8-KT6fWA "Never Gonna Give You Up"]], showcasing the lower end of her vibrato range.
* Her November 21, 2021 unarchived karaoke includes [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD-9mbKe4Po "Gas Gas Gas"]], where she sings with next to no cuts between vocals portions.
-->'''[=IRyS=]:''' "Do you like... my car" Of course you like my car, right?
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlIrhXUTmdg "One Last Kiss"]] by Music/HikaruUtada is a song that's been covered by numerous Hololive talents [[note]]inc Azki, Astel, Chloe, Kanata, Pekora, Suisei and Miko[[/note]], but none of them have nailed it down like Irys has, as she powers through the challenge of singing in both Japanese and English while also hitting the MelismaticVocals in the "oh oh oh" sections super cleanly. The song has already becoming seen as her [[SignatureSong signature Hololive cover song]] in a similar way to how Luna has "Hajimete no Chuu" and Towa with "Error", most notably during her birthday stream in March 2022, where she asked the chat for requests and it was immediately flooded by viewers suggesting the song.
* Two words: "[[Videogame/NeedyStreamerOverload Internet]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_0Zc26jkDw Overdose]]". Apart from being a rather ironic pick to be covered by a [=VTuber=] given its lyrics, [=IRyS=], our very own Internet (Half)Angel, matches the song's pure speed and Eurobeat energy with no trouble at all.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English -Council-]]
!!Ouro Kronii
* One unarchived stream had Kronii deliver an absolutely stellar rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PwKsasBlK4 Young And Beautiful.]]
* Kronii delivers her version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HiAIzjTnxE "Bakushou"]] with little trouble. The song's lyrics and her womanly-yet-villainous vocals blend well to emphasize her "Jokeronii" persona that it wouldn't sound out of place as another VillainSong.

!!Hakos Baelz
* Bae was the first of Generation 2 to release an official cover, taking on both the singing and rapping parts of junky's [[https://youtu.be/09xVC-xun_c Happy Halloween]] and showing off a huge range of talents. Adding to the "Hololive is an all-encompassing entertainment company", Kronii is also credited on the track as the mixer.
* Before embarking on a week-long break in late November 2021, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbiHGbvt0DI Bae dropped the mother of all]] ''Manga/{{Inuyasha}}'' karaoke streams, making very ample use of her voice range for classics like "Change the World" and "Ai no Uta". Even [=IRyS=] delayed her own ''Minecraft'' stream to watch Bae, much to the rat's embarrassment.
* Everything about her August 2022 cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzS26Ao3vt8 A Million Miles Away]], from the movie ''Anime/Belle2021''. Bae nails the emotions of the song, once again showing off her immense range both tonally and emotionally, and with the gorgeous animated video from Alice Magic it's hard to watch/listen and not cry.
* For 2023's Lunar Year, Bae released [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otVcHo52oOU a cover of "Dawn"]], the second ending theme of ''Manga/YonaOfTheDawn''. True to the original song, Bae adopts a deliberate and operatic pace for her vocals, all while belting out verses in Chinese for the bridge following the first refrain.

!!Nanashi Mumei
* [[https://youtu.be/3VGG6clNEZA Ant Observation]] is Mumei's cover of the [[Music/{{Vocaloid}} Kagamine Rin/Len]] song, with Mumei as the observer of the ants and Fauna as the scared observer of Mumei. It starts off innocently enough about the types of ants, until a boy steps all over them. The boy dies under mysterious circumstances, and then the song shifts into a nightmarish tone as the boy's body, soul, and memories are devoured by the ants he killed. The song switches back to the sweeter tone as Mumei leaves to go have lunch... only to accidentally step on an ant, starting the process all over again.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:English -Advent-]]
!! Nerissa Ravencroft
* True to her lore and almost as a statement of intent regarding her contribution to hololive's musical output, Nerissa's first cover was an authentically translated version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWU3o_kDixc Love Me, Love Me, Love Me]] by Kikuo which demonstrated her vocal range and versatility.
* After becoming a big fan of ''VideoGame/BaldursGateIII'', Nerissa released a cover of its theme song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j3wK1DXhrs Down By The River,]] that attracted praise from the composer.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:holostars English -TEMPUS-]]
!! Magni Dezmond
* For his birthday, he goes magging around at the speed of sound with an impressive cover of ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure2'''s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhz2uQJDY30 "Escape From the City"]].
* For Christmas 2022, Magni delivered a surprise gift in the form of [[https://youtu.be/BxFhTHOLStU A Very Maggin' Holidez]], a laid-back and jazzy medley of classic Christmas songs with a lush MV that's guaranteed to warm your heart.
!!Noir Vesper
* In what could only be described as the musical equivalent of one of his laidback zatsudan streams, Vesper's low-key rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVlHfSbU0lk Kenshi Yonezu's "Shinigami"]] fits the Granpire's style like a glove.
!!Gavis Bettel
* Released in time for his 2023 birthday celebration, Bettel's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDCtxsAJ_cM cover of "MONSTER" by KIRA]] is an impressive punk rock rendition of the track that serves to highlight the jester's grungy vocals.
* How does Bettel celebrate surviving the "August 19th" saga? With a powerful and gripping [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltGkgpHLljA cover of "One Reason" from Deadman Wonderland]], of course!
* Bettel surprised everyone for Halloween 2023 not just by landing the perms to do a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz3u7fZFoQg cover of Voltaire's iconic "When You're Evil"]], but also for playing a damn good villain with his smooth and sinister vocals accentuated by a delicious hammy EvilLaugh.
!!Banzoin Hakka
* His first cover song, Utsu-P's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULoig4tyuSI Living Ghost is Alive]], showcases his powerful vocals and his taste for heavy metal, right down to doing {{Metal Scream}}s for the bridges. The fact that the original song is also a fast-paced rock piece, with Utsu-P being a renowned metal composer himself, also helps in showcasing Hakka's singing capability.
* In May 2023, ''Anime/OshiNoKo'' is taking the world by storm, and everyone's wondering: who'll be the first Holomem to cover ''IDOL''? Much to everyone's surprise, it's not any of the girls, but instead Hakka - ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww5FLCKPsQw and he knocks it out of the park]]'', giving it his own punk spin and even doing all the background vocals and harmonies himself.
* In July 2023, he covered Towa's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7plaS3sLgI "MY ROAR"]], using his signature metal chords to give a heavier, feral edge to her power metal song. Towa herself praised his cover and expressed interest in collaborating with him for a song.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:holostars English -ARMIS-]]
!! Octavio
* Fitting to his image as a musical conductor, Octavio hit the ground running right after debut with a cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBQoFTPfrNw "Hollow Hunger"]], which does an excellent job showcasing his strong, clear singing voice and subtly-sinister puppet master character.
* In March 2024, Octavio celebrated getting perms for a playthrough of VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIIRebirth by covering [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xlCRbJuPc8 "No Promises to Keep"]], a song that takes the power of his vocals to the next level. The "operatic" part of his intro isn't there for show!
* His cover of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaPjoKpm7xk "Aishite Aishite Aishite"]] showcases his extreme vocal range from soft whispers to high falsetto, making for a delightfully erratic and unhinged performance for a song about neglected, love-starved child.

!Other

[[folder:[=3D=] concerts]]
Unlike singing streams and single releases, the 3D concerts allow for studio-grade equipment that recreates the reverberation of an actual live concert, along with the talents showing off their 3D models. On top of singing covers both familiar and new, it is also common practice for them to premiere an upcoming original song within those concerts.
----
* Suisei's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ajwv4ANSSg0 fourth 3D concert]] is a treasure trove of cover songs, capped off at the end with the release of her fourth original song, "GHOST". Highlights include her duet version of Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "In the Morning" with Toko Inui from WebAnimation/{{Nijisanji}}, and the band impersonation of ''Anime/BangDream''[='=]s RAISE A SUILEN, with the guest apperances of Aki, Matsuri, Towa and Polka. The four of them plus Suisei put a lot of energy into their covers of "DRIVE US CRAZY" and "EXPOSE 'Burn out!!!'", so much that ''the official [=BanG Dream!=] channel'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG-vBGJSTcU took notice and reposted the latter segment]].
* Near the end of Kanata's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPHng8urnYY 2021 birthday 3D concert]], everyone thought she was done after she finished singing her newly-released cover of DECO*27's "Hibana". Then she reveals the surprise guest appearances of Miko, Fubuki, Mio, Lamy, Botan and Polka for a sickeningly upbeat [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXKnbSi6d5Q group cover]] of ''VideoGame/UmaMusume''[='=]s "Uma Pyoi Densetsu".
* For her birthday on May 15, 2021, Sora [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXdX1S1-Mxc held a live 3D concert]] wherein she demonstrates once again what it means to be an idol. In addition to her tried-and-true VOCALOID-like cover of "Alien Alien", she is joined by the guest appearances of longtime [=VTuber=] friends Kotone Tenjin, [=AZKi=] and Aoi Fuji; she successively covers [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica ClariS's "Connect"]] with Kotone, rejoins [=AZKi=] with a reprise of their collab singles "Setsunatic Code" and "Kurenai Chronicle", and tops off a cover of "[[Manga/ScienceFellinLoveSoITriedtoProveIt Turing Love]]" by being the softer vocals to Aoi's lower pitch.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBQ2UD4LusU Miko's 3rd anniversary]] on August 1st, 2021 features gems like an energetic duet with Subaru in "Zenryoku☆Summer" and a counterpoint one with Korone in Music/MomoiroCloverZ's "Nippon Egao Hyakkei". It also appeals to nostalgics with a cover of Zone's ""Secret Base (Kimi ga Kureta Mono)"". Last, but not least, is the introduction of her fourth original single, "Kagetsu no Yume".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vs-5Rwu8ks Fubuki's 2021 birthday]] on October 5 features collaborations from the rest of GAMERS and the Bakatare Trio in the form of a cover of "Nippon Egao Hyakkei" and the new original song "Susume! Bakataration", respectively. But most stunningly is the 3D return of Kurokami, with her successively performing a cover of "Fixer", then a SoloDuet with Shirakami on [[Literature/TheSagaOfTanyaTheEvil "Los! Los! Los!"]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywvR52V7HiI Polka's 2022 birthday]] has the Fennec get creative with the concert as she enlists Miko, Aqua, Flare, Towa and Watame to form her idol group and has them perform songs in her stead while she plays DJ and buzzes around their choreography. Together, they get to cover [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFLu8TKDsrk "Adabana Necromancy"]] from ''Anime/ZombielandSaga'' and provide us with a group version of "HOLOGRAM CIRCUS".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsRo8VuubSk Aki's 2022 Birthday]] is styled as an "Alice in Wonderland" musical with duets (with Pekora, Subaru, Towa, Kanata, and Suisei) alternating with Solos by Aki. Her cover of [=ReadyMade=] being a steamy display of her dancing. The exception was "Joy" which was sung by Aki, Roboco, and Luna. Suisei's part had her command the stage much like the queen she's portraying. Tellingly, her role in the credits was as "Empress".
* The 3rd fes. paid concert, "Link Your Wish", is the pinnacle of Cover's endeavors to improve upon the winning formula of the past two fes. and the individual birthday/debut anniversary 3D lives from 2021. Not only do we finally get to see Gen. 5 perform in their idol outfits alongside their seniors, but the two-day concert also features the 3D debut of [=holoMyth=] and ID Gen. 1.
** Day 1's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkXvWvTX_BE first thirty minutes]] (watchable for free on the main channel) already has the crowd going wild at the sight of Korone doing ''a front-walkover'' while performing a cover of ''VideoGame/MegaMan2''[='=]s infamous "I Can't beat Airman". Marine and Fubuki also get to shine by performing "Happiness World", which was released less than a month prior, while Matsuri, Nene and Subaru cover "Candy-Go-Round", something which they didn't get to perform on the previous year.
** Day 1's full concert, however, has the back-to-back performances of Gura (singing "REFLECT"), Amelia (covering "Purupuru Pururin"), Ina (singing "VIOLET"), and Moona (singing "High Tide"), with Moona's performance being praised by many as the greatest highlight of the day; so much that Ollie cried tears of joy during her watch along. Other noteworthy returning songs are Miko's "Kagetsu no Yume" ([[AutobotsRockOut with added guitar riffs]]), Suisei's "Stellar Stellar" and "GHOST" (the latter performed in duet with Towa). The day then caps off with its flagship song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fX6qYFXemY "Prism Melody"]].
** Speaking of the English talents, Day 2 saw the long awaiting 3D debuts of Calli (singing "Red") and Kiara (singing "Hinotori"), with Kiara's performance in particular being a high-energy banger of a song to get the crowd pumping that would prove to be one of the highlights of the day.
** Day 2 of the event also saw [=HoloID=] come out swinging again, with the one-two punch of Iofi and Risu's back-to-back performances. The latter's singing of her original song "[=ALiCE=]&u", in particular, bedazzled a lot of their fellow members while Oga and Ollie were moved to tears. Suisei, in her post-event stream, compares the squirrel to Music/CelineDion.
* Calli decided to celebrate her 2022 birthday [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrcZEjdrkRg with a 3D live]], making it the first time she does so since holomyth's unveiling of the 3D models in ''Link Your Wish''. This also means she can stand on the same stage as Rikka for a live performance of "Spiral Tones", then Suisei for the newly-released originals "Wicked" (which they performed four days prior in Suisei's own 3D Live, ''Selfish of a Rough Stone'') and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M85xU-tbQ6c "CapSule"]]. Calli then caps off the announcement of her contract with Universal Music Japan with live renditions of "end of a life" and "Scuffed Up Age".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuOJhtBC7R4 Much like 2021]], Towa once again celebrates her birthday in 2022 with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyURvb-eIU8 a free 3D live concert]] in which she revisits several hololive original songs with fellow holomembers as guests, this time with a production quality on par with the 3rd fes. presented back in March.
** The PEBOT trio reunites to sing Botan's "Lioness' Pride" in unison
** A duet with Watame's frantic "mayday, mayday" is also present among the songs.
** Towa manages to secure Moona and Risu as guests, keeping up with the all-English vocals of the ID talents' respective originals in "High Tide" and "[=ALiCE=]&u".
** [=holoX=] lends their support as Lui and La+ perform a duet with Towa for "FACT" and "Palette", respectively. Bonus points for La+ finally performing live with her oshi.
** [=StartEnd=] gathers once again for a trio rendition of Suisei's "Stellar Stellar".
** Towa wraps up the concert with the unveiling of a new original in "Raimei"[[note]]Originally titled "ライメイ"[[/note]], a power metal song in the same vein as "born to be real".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQuFRSi5ebc&t=3864s Hololive Summer 2022's Finale]], to call it amazing is an understatement. All 35 JP Holomembers performed and one of the highlights involves special guests Gura and Ina, performing both the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKEb-Ox1KEw first UMISEA song]] for a short while before welcoming Chloe, their new/5th member and then the song changed to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOFOmeHAmfk It Comes Ryuuu And It Goes Kyuuu]]. Another highlight is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_uiT5C8BjQ Hololive Ondo which is based on what YAGOO himself danced except that this time it was covered by Subaru, Korone, Towa-sama and La+]]. Finally, the event ended with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQOPE6kHeoU Shiny Smily Story (2022 ver.)]], showing how Hololive has come so far from Sora who started off alone and her model's evolution before everyone else joined in. Even their mascot Holofans have appearances in what some would dub as "[=HoloCity=]" or "Hololive City", a paradise of sort for Holofans who are seen playing in the arcade and just hanging out in general. Finally, all 35 members are on top of large versions of their [=HoloMascots=] like one is seeing a "[=HoloParade=]" or "Hololive Parade" before combining to form a large stage. Not to be left out, even [[https://twitter.com/achan_UGA/status/1565606840368795648 YAGOO, A-chan, Nodoka]], [[https://twitter.com/AkaGeki/status/1565684123070451712 Hololive Myth, Hololive Council, Hololive ID]] [[https://twitter.com/yukiwys/status/1564969602135707648 and IRyS have Easter Egg appearances]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szUbg1Yar5c Kanata's third anniversary 3D concert]] not only has her debut a new costume for live performance, but also come with a packed selection of very demanding songs for the listener's pleasure. Starting straight away with Reol's "Hibikase", Kanata keeps the momentum going through the likes of [=MikitoP=]'s "Shoujorei", Aimer's [[AwesomeMusic/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba "Zankyo Sanka"]] and Ai Higuchi's [[AwesomeMusic/AttackOnTitan "Akuma no Ko"]]. But the real high point of the show comes when Kanata sings [[Manga/TokyoGhoul "unravel"]] and sustains the lyrics of "unravel the world" for '''22 seconds''', even going up a pitch midway through!
* While not a concert ''per se'', Ina was able to book hololive's studio for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cc16ZBW0GY her proper 3D reveal stream]], delivering a triple whammy in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates''[='=]s "if ~ hitori omou", ''Manga/TokyoGhoul''[='=]s "unravel" and ''Anime/StarDriver''[='=]s "Monochrome".
* Almost the entirety of hololive's 4th Festival - Our Bright Parade:
** The theme for the entire Live is, fittingly [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0usYxw3pko "Our Bright Parade"]], a triumphant, joyous anthem featuring talents from all three of hololive's branches ([[Characters/HololiveJapanOriginalGeneration Miko]], [[Characters/HololiveFubukiCh Fubuki]], [[Characters/HololiveJapanGenerationFour Kanata]], [[Characters/HololiveJapanGenerationFive Lamy]], [[Characters/HololiveJapanGenerationSixHoloX Koyori, and Chloe]] from JP, [[Characters/HololiveIndonesiaGenerationOne Risu]] from ID, and [[Characters/HololiveEnglishGenerationOneMyth Amelia]] from EN) welcoming fans new and old to celebrate their love of hololive and all of its talents.
** The sheer fact that hololive got a third concert snuck into the event, headlined by the artistic talent of industry heavyweight Music/Deco27 leading to not only incredible covers like Choco and Mel performing 'The Vampire' but also brand new originals created ''specifically for the event'' like Chloe's 'P.E.T' and Gura and Bae's 'Sweet Appetite'. To go from such humble origins, Cover has accomplished A LOT.
** Ollie and Haachama's perfomance of "Lost One's Weeping" has to be seen to be belived, with the crowd ''immediately'' cranking into high gear as soon as the opening chords played, with the Super-Kawaii Zombie and the World-Wide Strongest Idols carrying the song's energy to the very last beat in one of the best, if not ''the'' best perfomance of the entire event.
--->'''Ollie:''' '''KONBANWA MINA-SAAAAAAAAN!!!'''
--->'''Haachama:''' '''MOTTO MOTTO MOTTO''' '''''MOOOTTOOOOOOO!!!'''''
** After years of waiting, long-time [=IRyStocrats=] can finally see [=IRyS=] perform onstage, and with none better a choice than the dark and high-energy 'Here Comes Hope' with [=IRyS=] putting her idol chops on full display. "[[RunningGag Hope is here, and is coming for you]]" indeed.
** From a less musical example - This was the first Festival after Japan started relaxing travel restrictions put in place during the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic, and because of that, fans from around the world were allowed to be in the crowd live for the first time. One Western fan in particular was spotted getting emotional during La+'s performance and was dubbed world-wide as "THE Kaigai-Niki" proving just how much Cover has grown world-wide over the years.

[[folder:BGM]]
* Played prominently in Sora's VideoGame/{{Minecraft}} play sessions, [[https://youtu.be/j5k4-i4ogQQ "Yuube no Hoshi"]] is a relaxing xylophone, wind instrument piece that comes together with the subtle violin backing it to create an ethereal and dreamy tone. It also carries a tone of [[TearJerker sadness,]] reminiscence, and loneliness, especially when considering how Sora started off and [[LonelyAtTheTop where she is much later.]]
* The {{memetic|Mutation}} BGM of Pekora, [[https://youtu.be/DQweLHdlVWo Tanukichi's Adventure]] by DOVA-SYNDROME. Due to the catchy and chipper main melody and repetitive low tones in the background, you ''will'' get this song stuck in your head. It also got a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKKBdVkXrsI metal arrangement]] by Jules Conroy (much like Korone's BGM).
* The memetic BGM of Aqua, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNBEgmsEXII Recorder Beat 2]] also by DOVA-SYNDROME. The fandom commented that due to how awesome this song is, it decreases their IQ down to [[FanNickname/{{hololive}} Baqua]] levels.
* Ollie's loading BGM, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVzk3bqEu6g swing swing]] by DOVA-SYNDROME, contains elements of classic swing jazz which befits her Halloween/zombie theme best.
* For Korone's birthday, Creator/YuzoKoshiro [[https://twitter.com/yuzokoshiro/status/1311683172795473920 created a new theme for her]] entitled [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGkOdq3qZbc "Koroneraiser Inu-More!"]], which is reminicient of Filmore Act I from ''VideoGame/ActRaiser'', which is awesome in of itself.
** A few short months later, Cover contracted [[VideoGame/CryptOfTheNecroDancer Jules]] [[VideoGame/CadenceOfHyrule Conroy]] ([=FamilyJules=]) to make an [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMkF4jNRIGA official metal arrangement]]!
** After she cleared ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog1'', she debuted [[https://youtu.be/7DtLp1e8VoE a third version]] using the UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis soundfont as well, once again composed by Koshiro.
* Gura's first image song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCR8zw5pdbk "Sharkventure!!"]] is a creative mix of UsefulNotes/{{Synthwave}}, City Pop, and Drum & Bass. It starts off evoking a sense of swimming deep in the ocean, before quickly turning upbeat and chipper when the keyboards, funky bass guitar and heavy bass beats kick in. Try to imagine everyone's favorite little Atlantean exploring the world with a smile on her face while listening to this song, and you'll find the title to be fitting.
* Calli's first image song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8_LUZGNA2c "Lively Bopping to Death's Knocking"]], manages to perfectly capture the idea of a rapping Reaper, mixing synths, the tolling of a church bell, and ominous chanting.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnEowfkZg2M "NoWay"]] by Peritune, a lighthearted and comedic xylophone piece used in [[https://twitter.com/chrome_ismKHM/status/1359123949032902662 a fan-made MMD animation]] that would wind up as Choco's loading screen for ''Videogame/{{Minecraft}}'' streams. It was also used as the BGM for the highly memetic [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4njaF0RGok "are ya winning watson?"]] fan animation.
* DOVA-SYNDROME once again delivers with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKg-aXVS1YI "Toy Dance"]] [[labelnote:*]]English translation of "おもちゃのダンス"[[/labelnote]], the classy and addictive piano piece that serves a hefty dose of SoundtrackDissonance as Amelia Watson rages, gets salty and ground pounds everyone on her stream.
* Coco's loading BGM, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHOmLRcCVQ0 "Gangimari Dragon"]] by [=REDALiCE=] (who also worked on "Peko Miko's Great War"), is a crazy assortment of Coco's quotes and shrieks, in line with the chaotic nature of her content.
* [[https://youtu.be/H3KvMgoA1C4 Haachama-Chama]], used by Haato for her intro before the character split arc (after which she uses her image song) is another track by [=REDALiCE=] and is a very high energy track with lyrical content that nearly consists of just the word "Haachama."
* Ouro Kronii uses Khaim's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dP7cdf-EgI Somebody]] as her BGM, and its extremely chill and relaxing sound makes it the perfect fit for the Warden of Time. It also helps identify new viewers on various discussion forums for Hololive, as it is practically inevitable that a new viewer will hear the faint voices in the background and make a "omg I heard someone in the background!!!" post.
* Luna's illustrator Kanzaki Hiro is also a trance music artist, and created music for her channel. The most popular being the introductory loading song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x5DTuIO_JQ んなっ (Naa!)]], and her closing song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EODGkm15wVY Lunar Light]]. Naa builds up using vocal samples from Luna before the beat drops with her signature Naaaa! Lunar Light, despite having the same high energy trance sound captures the feeling of gracefully shutting down at the end of a stream. Both songs share a crisp but playful tone that matches Luna's personality.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A922jYCNrF4 Laplus Darknesss's BGM]] is a heavy techno beat by Osanzi that goes very hard, and it even includes a voice clip of Laplus saying "heed my call." It's a perfect fit to the way [=holoX's=] leader views herself, even if not so much the way others view her.
* For the streams of Rushia and Botan, we have the chill beat of [[https://youtu.be/16Bj6aPi1A8 2:23 AM]] by DOVA-SYNDROME. It's the right kind of music for the girls' more laidback streams such as Superchat reading or post-event discussions.
* DOVA-SYNDROME's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtSKddGoc9g "Great Sword of Fire"]], the gloriously loud thrash metal track that Magni Dezmond uses for his intro screen.
* For being a horror story, ''hololive ERROR'' still has a decent selection of amazing music, not all of it being of the atmospheric variety.
** The title screen BGM, [[https://youtu.be/eeHS-5CtIbU "Hollow life"]], is not only a somewhat depressing {{Pun}} on the name of our favorite idol group, but also a sad and downright haunting piano-and-violin track, truly fitting for this utterly gut-wrenching highschool horror story.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-vyazVOV1Y "群青の後悔"]] [[note]]Roughly translating to "Regrets of Dark Blue"[[/note]], the track that plays during the end of the WhamEpisode that is Chapter 16, is [[SoundtrackDissonance quite the high-energy piano piece for such an eerie moment]]. It still manages to make for an absolute banger though.
* Koyori's loading BGM [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQprlYab6XU "Konkoyo!"]] is an upbeat [[VoiceClipSong mashup of her energetic voice clips]] by Nienu that allows you to breeze through the loading screen as she prepares her stream. It's so iconic to Koyori that [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu7qKF8x1Po&t=113s it got featured in the outro of her first hologra episode]].
* Yet another DOVA-SYNDROME track is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daKcU7mjNOQ "Boys' Summer Vacation"]], used as the intro BGM for Takanashi Kiara. It's so perfectly fitting for the various intro animations involving her KFP staff on the job, and as with Koyori, [[https://youtu.be/yEsX4I6ZwFA it was even used in the outro of Kiara's hologra debut]].
* Ruze's loading BGM, [[https://dova-s.jp/bgm/play16207.html "SUPER COOL BABY"]], is an energetic rock number with an adventure-seeking vibe, which blends in well with his bounty hunter aesthetic.
