What happens if you have [[ComicBook/ThePunisher The Punisher]], [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Batman]], Franchise/JohnWick and [[Videogame/Doom2016 the Doom Slayer]] rolled into a suit of leather armor? The resulting combination is Goblin Slayer, whose unrelenting determination, ingenuity, and cold-blooded hatred for Goblins drive him to victory when all odds should be against him. Not many can take on the extermination of an entire species single-handedly.

* "He does not let anyone roll the dice" doesn't exactly sound like a {{Tagline}} associated with a hero, much less Goblin Slayer. Yet its significance becomes apparent when it is revealed that the world's gods adore this one otherwise unremarkable NPC, simply because he doesn't give them the chance to influence his actions or successes. [[WowingCthulhu They watch him with curiosity, unable to predict his fate, wondering what bizarre solutions he'll come up with next.]]

[[folder:Volume 1]]
* Goblin Slayer's first proper introduction alone is enough to verify his status as a walking CMOA:
** With all her teammates picked off one by one, Priestess had veered well past the DespairEventHorizon. She wets herself, [[PrayerIsALastResort babbling her prayers right before the goblins take her too...]] and then ''he'' appears, and shows how goblin-hunting is properly done, effortlessly deflecting a goblin arrow, killing one goblin by {{Shield Bash}}ing it into the wall and burning its face off with his torch and then hurling a dagger into the brain of the other.
** Despite being horrified out of her wits and having no idea if Goblin Slayer is a friend or enemy at this point, Priestess still has her wits together enough to stop the second goblin by using her staff to block its escape, giving Goblin Slayer the chance to kill it before it can run.
** He proceeds to take down each goblin with surgical precision in Chapter 2, varying between tools and weapons he picks off from fallen corpses. Highlights include [[DoubleTap bashing a Goblin Shaman's skull in for playing dead]], and dousing a Hobgoblin's body in gasoline before kicking it into the nest and setting the rest of the critters ablaze.
** When Priestess offers to assist him, he makes effective use of her miracles. Immediately after she makes her offer, he asks what she can do and how many times she can do it. Then he uses her Holy Light to make quick work of the goblin shaman and the hobgoblin by tactically blinding them with it. The first literally did not see the spear coming, and the latter tripped over a trap wire he set up. Laying prone at Goblin Slayer's feet, the hobgoblin was effortlessly dispatched. The rookie Warrior ''could'' have done this if he had done what Goblin Slayer thought to do.
* A minor moment goes to Fighter; after the team Witch gets fatally poisoned after only making one kill, and Warrior is quickly overwhelmed and torn to pieces, she starts breaking heads and splatting goblins against the walls, acquitting herself better than her teammates did. If it weren't for the [[GiantMook hobgoblin]] that snuck up behind her, it's possible she could've joined Priestess in retreating.
* There is something admirable to be said about Priestess in that, after all that she's been through, and with her innocence in tatters, she ''still'' chooses to continue as an adventurer. By fighting alongside Goblin Slayer, she's even facing the very sources of her trauma head-on, repeatedly and without end.
** This moment in the anime is particularly powerful, as Priestess-as-narrator is explaining just how ''often'' beginner adventures are butchered by goblins, and how even those who are successful often retire from the life after this one success. She decides to purchase chain mail and sign up for another round.
--> '''Goblin Slayer''': Are you coming?
--> '''Priestess''': Yes.
* In Chapter 4, Goblin Slayer easily destroys a nest of goblins by burning the giant tree fortress they were using as a base and then having Priestess use her Protection miracle on the only exit. The trapped monsters bang and scrape futilely against the force field with their fists and knives until each and every one perishes by asphyxiation. All while Goblin Slayer stares them down in their last moments.
* The new adventuring party Goblin Slayer and Priestess joins prove their effectiveness when they reach the bottom of an ancient fortress, where at least fifty goblins lay sleeping. Rather than risk fighting them all at once, Goblin Slayer has Dwarf Shaman and Priestess cast Stupor and Silence respectively. Each goblin is stabbed, slashed, and gutted in their sleep one by one, with none the wiser until they're already drowning in their own blood.
* Of course, in the same fortress Goblin Slayer proves once and for all how dangerous it is to have him as an enemy... by fighting something that is "not" a goblin.
** Enter the Ogre, a hulking monstrosity that has already made a name for himself by killing many Silver-ranked adventurers in the past. He casts the spell equivalents of nukes with impunity, and what little damage he receives is instantly regenerated. The party would have added several more to his long list of victims. Goblin Slayer ends the fight with a single teleportation scroll.
*** It takes a certain kind of mind to set the spell's location to the bottom of the ocean, turning what was basically an EscapeRope into a ''water jet cutter''.
** Whether or not Goblin Slayer intended so (with a man like him, it's difficult to say), his cavalier attitude and ultimate disrespect for Ogre is just icing on the cake. Ogre dies wailing, knowing his killer considers him beneath common goblins.
** Let's not discount Priestess. When the Ogre starts casting his first mega-fireball, only she and GS don't panic. Without any direction from others, she calls everyone to her side and takes the initiative to protect the party, which shows how far she has come. However, what makes this a truly awesome moment is when she pulls a ''FOURTH SPELL''. Cue the smoke clearing to reveal a shot of the whole party behind her. Even the Ogre is impressed.
* The raid on the farm has adventurers, guided by Goblin Slayer's hand, utterly repel and counteract every move the horde throws at them: rescuing hostages; sniping the Shamans; and using improvised spears to skewer Riders. It's a far cry from the newbie team at the beginning of the story; many of these adventurers made a living off hunting much bigger prey for years. Against goblins? The little critters might as well be mincemeat.
** Then the Goblin Champions come out and pose a real threat, leading to an awesome exchange as the Veterans take to the front to go to battle against them.
** Just to ram home how effective it was to combine the experienced adventurers with Goblin Slayer's tactics: the goblins, numbering at least a hundred and including multiple shamans, hobs, and Champions, were completely exterminated with ease, while the adventurers suffered exactly ''three'' losses, one bitten on the throat by a wolf during the wolf riders' charge (absent in the anime) and two surprised by the arrival of the Champions and hobgoblins.
* Goblin Slayer introduces himself to a Goblin Lord the only way he can: by completely stomping the Lord's HopeSpot into fine dust, TerrorHero style. The goblin, aware the raid was soon to fail, cuts and runs back to his nest as he always does. He knows he just needs to live another day to try again. But then a certain voice stops him cold... [[GlowingEyesOfDoom and a burning red light]] [[TheDarknessGazesBack from the shadows emerges.]]
** Goblin Slayer enlisted all of the Adventurer's Guild just so he can attack the Goblin Lord's now-vulnerable nest. That's right, the entire BigBadassBattleSequence ''was a diversion''. Now the only goblin left standing is the Lord himself... and Goblin Slayer is dead set on amending that.
* Chapter 15 finally ends the Goblin Lord's campaign of cruelty with a demonstration of Priestess' range and flexibility with her Protection miracle. Just as the Goblin Lord prepares to land a death blow on Goblin Slayer, its axe gets snagged onto the edge of a magic wall. A second wall rams into it with the force of a freight train. Sandwiched and immobilized by the two spells, the bugger is left entirely at our heroes' (lack of) mercy. Not half-bad for a young girl who was introduced as a traumatized, blubbering whelp in the beginning of the story.
** Priestess's growth was also shown through subtly being put in two situations that she went through in her first experience with goblins. When the rookie party was getting slaughtered, the Priestess panicked and literally wet herself from a regular goblin giving her a disgusting, lewd look. She also felt awful for the pitiful-looking goblin children and cried partially because of their deaths. Now, when facing a goblin lord who tried intimidating her while in her protection walls, she remained completely stone-faced (and even pushed in Goblin Slayer's broken sword with her wall) and felt no sympathy when the Goblin Lord begged and cried for his life. She's come a very long way.
** GS' entire fight with the Goblin Lord? A distraction so Priestess could set up her dual Protection. That's right, GS himself ''was also a diversion.''
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Volume 2]]
* The party stumbles upon a nest of particularly well-equipped goblins in Chapter 16. Goblin Slayer pulls out an honest-to-god ''smoke grenade'' made of sulfur and pine resin to gas the critters out.
** Other highlights include High Elf Archer [[OneHitPolykill piercing three goblins with one arrow]], and Goblin Slayer tearing a goblin's shield out of the way with a warpick before decapitating it.
* Chapter 17 has Guild Girl dressing down a Rhea scout who stole from his own party, telling him exactly why he was being demoted. Due to the arrangement of the interview, the little bastard can't even get a word in edgewise.
** Just as the Rhea scout's rage breaks to the point where he's about to assault Guild Girl, he enters a brief ImagineSpot where Goblin Slayer smashes his face in right then and there. He's forced to back off under the warrior's gaze. It is made more intense by how his internal monologue during the entire scene is EXACTLY like that of a goblin's. Had he acted on it, he would've shared their fate at Goblin Slayer's hands.
*** Rhea Scout eventually does meet death at Goblin Slayer's hands in Volume 3 when he tries to kill him and Guild Girl for the above humiliation. His death is [[GuttedLikeAFish anything but pretty.]]
* Chapter 22 ends with Goblin Slayer's eyes flaring back up to the sound of Priestess' agonized screams, promising wrath and violence never witnessed before. This isn't his usual TranquilFury; for once, he sounds thoroughly ''pissed''.
-->'''Narration:''' Your ultimate fate, your final doom is always just a roll of the dice away. It's a perfectly ordinary thing when adventurers are overrun by goblins.
-->'''Goblin Slayer:''' ''This shall not stand.''
** The Light Novel presents an even bigger middle finger to the narration by having Goblin Slayer utter just one, succinct word in response:
--->'''Goblin Slayer:''' ''[[PrecisionFStrike Horseshit.]]''
** And the anime also has a one-word response to all of this: "Bullshit." Whichever way you slice it, Goblin Slayer is not going down that easily, especially when his friends' lives are on the line, which leads to...
* Chapter 23. ''All of it.'' Every event action is its own awesome moment. It's ''that'' fucking metal.
** Starting with the one and only:
*** How does the Goblin Slayer turn around a near-loss for the entire party? By promptly jumping up onto the back of a Goblin Champion and using [[LaserGuidedKarma the hair from the skull of one of their victims]] as an improvised garrote to strangle it. He then [[EyeScream punches its eye so hard that he rips it out with his bare hand]].
*** One of the goblins sees his collapsed form, and grins smugly to itself at such an easy target. Cut to the next page, with Goblin Slayer's buckler neatly separating the goblin's jaw. A fellow goblin sits nearby with a femur through its eye socket.
*** [[{{Determinator}} Not once does Goblin Slayer loosen his grip while choking the Champion out]], even when the giant frenziedly claws at its back and slams him against walls. In fact, he's pulling with so much force that strands of human hair are actually ''cutting through thick gloves and lacerating his skin.''
*** As far as the Champion knows, this... ''[[WhatTheHellAreYou thing]]'' with the goblin's life in its clutches is shrouded within a formless mass of shadow and bloodlust. And then a cold voice emerges from behind, goading it into turning its head around to take a nice, good look...
*** That arm Goblin Slayer uses to plunge into the Goliath's eye socket? ''It's his broken one.''
*** Goblin Slayer can't even position his body properly, his limbs all bent in wrong angles, his spine refusing to straighten out. Blood is leaking profusely from every opening. And yet he ponders out loud who his next victim will be with GlowingEyesOfDoom. The result? The nearest goblin [[BringMyBrownPants pisses itself in terror]] and ''the entire enemy horde flees.''
** Incredibly, Priestess retains her consciousness through the pain of having her flesh torn out by sharp teeth, one strip at a time. She sees Goblin Slayer approach from behind, and [[PluckyGirl forces her mouth shut so as not to give away his position]].
** The moment Goblin Slayer diverted the horde's attention to himself and the Champion, High Elf Archer seized this opening by the end of a club. Ferocious and snarling, she pounds one of her would-be rapists in the face until its head is nothing but a scarlet mash of teeth and brain tissue. And when one of the goblins fails to be intimidated away and latches onto her, Dwarf Shaman swiftly kicks it away.
** A round of applause should be given to the one who deserves it most: As if previous examples within the series haven't proven it already, the visuals and direction for this chapter alone indicate that behind the wheel of this manga adaptation is an astonishingly talented artist.
* The Giant Eye is a monster packing [[DeathRay Disintegrate]] and [[DispelMagic Dispel]] through its many appendages, very hard counters against the team. So Goblin Slayer has them distract it while he scatters flour around. Just plain, ordinary flour from Cow Girl's farm. Only Dwarf Shaman was savvy enough to realize what he was up to.
-->'''Dwarf Shaman:''' "[[ExplainExplainOhCrap Powder... a closed room... Hey! You can't possibly-]]"
-->'''Goblin Slayer:''' "Cover your ears, and open your mouth. [[StuffBlowingUp Get down!]]"
* Chapter 27 shows Goblin Slayer as a master of his craft as he blends his kills against an innumerable horde of Goblins to buy time for Lizard Priest to retrieve a magic mirror acting as a PortalDoor. He deflects killing blows into another, wall-runs up a pillar to perform a plunging attack, cycles through weapons like they were going out of style, and just all in all tears through the scene like a blood-streaked demon out of hell.
* A combination of quick thinking and well-oiled teamwork in Chapter 28 reverses a [[BolivianArmyEnding Bolivian Army scenario]] into one-sided goblin depopulation event. It ends with Dwarf Shaman's magic bringing down ''the entire dungeon'' on everybody's heads, wiping out every goblin in the vicinity, up to and including the ''Champion himself'', in one fell swoop. The only things left in the rubble are the crew, the MagicMirror they repurposed as an umbrella, and a fresh crater gaping in the landscape.

[[folder:Volume 3]]
* The Rhea Scout makes a comeback, seeking revenge on Guild Girl and Goblin Slayer for his humiliating evaluation in the previous volume. What follows is a rare chance to witness two skilled adventurers fight to the death - thrown knives and the sound of parrying blades fill the air, but Rhea Scout finally downs Goblin Slayer with a poisoned dart. He gloats about his victory while repeatedly kicking the body in jealous rage, then turns to Guild Girl who glares defiantly at him... and is gutted by Goblin Slayer for the trouble; the grungy warrior merely picked an opportunity to play dead, waiting until he can get a good hold on the little gremlin.
* The Dark Elf leading the invasion upon the Festival is a near-impossible target to hit; he scuttles about on his [[MultiArmedAndDangerous extra appendages]] akin to a giant man-spider out of hell, taking potshots at Goblin Slayer beyond the warrior's reach. He is eventually taken down with some quick thinking, but not before he gets a taunt thrown back at him:
-->'''Dark Elf:''' ''It seems your reach exceeds your grasp, human! I suppose you might qualify as Rank 5, Ruby... No! Maybe Rank 6, Emerald!''\
'''Goblin Slayer:''' ''You're wrong.'' ''[[LiteralistSnarking She's Obsidian.]]''\
''Priestess ambushes Dark Elf with a [[BlindedByTheLight Holy Light]] straight into his eyes.''
** The Dark Elf proceeds to get slashed with a tainted sword strike. [[HoistByHisOwnPetard Fitting, given that he was the one who supplied Rhea Scout with goblin toxin in the first place.]] Furthermore, he attempts a TakingYouWithMe by casting one last Disintegrate spell on the entire party, only to have his arm severed ''very'' neatly with a single throwing knife. Without enchantments, High Elf Archer finally sticks an arrow shaft into his neck and cuts off his incantation, leading to an especially ugly death with the nutcase drowning in his own blood, losing even more through his new stump, ''and'' suffering the mother of all sepsis.

[[folder:Volume 5]]
* During the party's interception of the goblins' raid on the mountain village, Goblin Slayer and Priestess intentionally draw attention to themselves and hold their ground in the middle of an open junction. This supposedly exposes them to attacks from all angles, but the two just become BackToBackBadasses as Goblin Slayer efficiently hacks down every incoming gremlin, while Priestess covers his blind spots and fends of would-be attackers at bay with the end of her staff, then swapping positions with her defender so he can finish them off.
** This also highlights how far the two have come together in terms of cooperation; Goblin Slayer is willing to entrust his life to Priestess in the thick of battle, and Priestess has absolute faith in his ability to keep her safe.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Volume 6]]
* Remember how Goblin Slayer wanted to use a Gate scroll to destroy a goblin's nest back in Volume 1? Well, here we see the end result as he hands the party ''Breathe'' rings and then opens it wide. Not only is the entire den flooded to the point of shooting out from hole to the surface like a geyser, but he mentions that if he were alone he would have anchored himself down and walked underwater to kill them all.
* A goblin extermination/rescue mission goes awry under Priestess' first stint as party leader - the group falls into a trap with goblins incoming from all sides and a powerful troll for good measure (though to be fair, what really is at fault is Wizard Boy's recklessness). In the midst of a panic attack, she can only nod as Goblin Slayer offers to retake command. ''Immediately'', he turns the entire situation around with his usual blasé flair, giving orders to everyone and setting the troll on fire.
** Noticing that the troll's skin hardens under Holy Light, Goblin Slayer's response is to induce "thermal shock" - burning gasoline to superheat the monster's body, another Holy Light to revert its skin back to stone, and Dwarf Shaman's Rain Call to instantly cool it off. For good measure, he chucks saltpeter as an additive to hasten the process, something he learned [[CallBack all the way back at Water Town]]... when he asked ''how to make ice cream''.
* After some advice from Dwarf Shaman, Wizard Boy manages to use a spell that causes his voice to be amplified to the point where it knocks out all the nearby Goblins, freeze others in terror, and cause the remaining ones to run. This allowed Priestess' new party to escape before they could be killed.
* When Goblin Slayer needs to kill all of the Goblins who had tunneled under the training camp, he assembles a party with High Elf Archer, Lizard Priest, Dwarf Shaman, Spearman, and Witch. After having Lizard Priest lure them all into the deepest part of the cave, he then has them open up a hole beneath a lake and flood the entire thing. And for good measure he had Witch freeze the water to collapse the tunnel.

[[folder:Volume 7]]
* Priestess recently received a new Miracle, "Purify Liquid", and quickly [[NotTheIntendedUse proves her creativity with it]]:
** While on a raft on the river, the party is stuck by a barrier of detrites and pieces of destroyed boats set up by the Goblins. One use of her Miracle, and the barrier dissolves.
** Later the party is facing a large group of Goblin led by an experienced Shaman, that neutralizes the other with a status spell. It seems all is lost... Then Priestess uses Purify Liquid on the Shaman's ''[[BloodMagic blood]]''. The Shaman is down, and while he manages to recover by turning the water back into blood by the time he's done Goblin Slayer and his party have already escaped... Just in time for the water explosion they had previously set up to clear them up.
* The end of the volume reveals that during the entire time that Goblin Slayer and his party's had been clearing a tower full of goblins upwards in the Elf Forest, Chosen Heroine and her party had been on the bottom floor the entire time [[Franchise/{{Doom}} holding back the legions of hell from pouring out of an ancient unstable gateway complete with her fighting off one of the demon leaders, a giant spider with mechanical legs]]. Chosen Heroine notes that the water explosion that Goblin Slayer's party used to clear out the goblin nest had disrupted the magic circle that was maintaining the gateway, allowing Sage to close the portal. Goblin Slayer and his party had just unknowingly helped save the world.

[[folder:Volume 8]]
* [[WalkOnWater Water Walk]] is exactly what it sounds like, an enchantment designed for ease of travel across bodies of water. Turns out, you can cast it on the likes of a ''Sea Serpent''; without the ability to return below the surface to prepare another attack or even breathe, the monster is essentially beached out in the middle of the ocean. A beast capable of wrecking ships, incapacitated by a single [[NotTheIntendedUse support spell]]. Even Goblin Slayer's party remarks that killing it was too easy.
* To clear out a horde of goblins pursuing them through the Dungeon of the Dead, Goblin Slayer tosses up a Gate scroll, this one connecting to the sky instead of the bottom of the sea. Due to the vast difference in air pressure, the beasties are sucked into the vortex like dust in a vacuum cleaner.

[[folder:Volume 9]]
* Everything about how the Ice Witch dies.
** Priestess seeing through her illusion and burning her with [[ReviveKillsZombie Minor Heal]].
** Harefolk Hunter giving a bold speech of payback to the floundering vampire before shooting her right in the heart.
** Apprentice Cleric using her Holy Smite spell to incinerate the evil witch just before she can try to suicide attack Priestess.
** Priestess boldly announcing Ice Witch's death immediately afterwards and sending the remaining Sasquatches fleeing in a blind panic on mutilated feet.
* Goblin Slayer got to show off his TrapMaster and IndyPloy chops under the most demanding of situations, with no backup, in enemy terrain, and with three helpless women he had to save from the filthy claws of the monsters.
* Goblin Slayer, driven to exhaustion, pulling one last gambit to get rid of the horde only to have the Ogre swim out of the lake. He can barely get to his feet but he nonetheless does and prepares to give his best in a straight fight with the massive brute... Only for a blinding light to break up the fight and [[BigDamnHeroes his party to come sliding down the mountain as backup.]] Doubles as a SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoment.

[[folder:Volume 10]]
* Goblin Slayer takes on a new goblin invention: the Battle Wagon. A reinforced push cart that functions like a pedal-powered tank, complete with small catapult, and bristling with SpikesOfVillainy. He leaps on top of it after it tries to run over Priestess and Lizard Priest, kills the commander, and baits the runners under it into charging their vehicle straight into the river.

* The aspiring adventuress whose story the volume follows:
** [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer Shunned by her village]] because of her father, and the man himself being pretty awful, she timidly but resolutely steels herself for Guild Girl's Dungeon Exploration Contest. On the way, she meets Spearman and Witch, who treat her practically like a colleague right off the bat and encourage her to ignore the jeers and follow her own path. Blacksmith, who's been observing her, notes internally that he'd rank her "lower-end of the middle". Not "low-end", lower-''middle'', which he fondly recalls is where Spearman and Witch started.
** During the event, she defeats a real goblin and inadvertently stumbles upon a hidden passage the adventurers failed to uncover. Thinking it's all part of the contest, she makes her way inside and ends up facing off with a Fire Spirit [[ContrivedCoincidence who just so happens to have a precious gemstone]] as his treasure, which only cements her belief that this is all part of the show. Though he scares her at first, he ends up pissing her off into fighting back, culminating in her pulling out [[ChekhovsGun the scroll Goblin Slayer picked up early in the volume]] despite having no idea what it does. The spirit however [[OhCrap promptly panics]] when he realizes it's for the Star of Muala - or, as Warlock calls it later, [[MeteorSummoningAttack Meteor Strike]]. Cue it calling down a shooting star so dazzling that even Goblin Slayer, who's fighting for his life up above, has to stop for a moment to admire the spectacle.
** When Goblin Slayer finally meets up with the girl, she shows off her new trophy and tells him excitedly about her little adventure, completely unaware how OffTheRails she actually went and how much danger she was actually in. Goblin Slayer, who knows better and [[BrutalHonesty usually offers brutal reality checks]], [[CharacterDevelopment manages to hold his tongue for once]] and doesn't break her bubble. After all, at the end of the day it was a real adventure, which in his eyes makes the aspiring adventuress all the more amazing for it.
** Towards the end of the volume, after having become a Porcelain-rank adventurer, she's accosted by the same boy who bullied her earlier. She cuts him off, [[GrewASpine showcasing her newfound confidence]] before thinking about her next move, which is likely to be the familiar task of hunting down rats in the sewers.

[[folder:Side Story - Year One]]
* Chapters 3 through 5 detail Goblin Slayer's first-ever solo goblin nest raid, after registration as an adventurer. Things complicate when the nest is led by a goblin wizard and guarded by a hobgoblin.
** After saving against a couple of lightning bolts against the wizard, Goblin Slayer intercepts it by throwing his shield, using the opening to dive in and stab its throat.
** Goblin Slayer gets grappled by a hobgoblin, and he breaks free by cutting its arm in half. The hobgoblin is slain with a decisive charge for its neck, ending in its beheading.
* Goblin Slayer's one man fight to defend a village from a goblin horde. Through the use of strict planning, determination and resources, he managed to defeat and kill an entire horde all by himself. Even when he was nearly trampled by the goblins, he finds the strength to get back up again after seeing a goblin using his late father's knife which he lost during the attack on his village years ago.
* The Shadow Tower is Goblin Slayer's biggest and grueling campaign yet seen. While defending Arc mage as she unlocks each floor, he ends up killing [[OneManArmy well over a hundred and twenty goblins completely solo.]] This while still a rookie with scant months of combat experience and barely any special knowledge of goblin weaknesses.
* The Barbarian who was thought to have died to the young Goblin Lord in the first volume is [[https://www.reddit.com/r/GoblinSlayer/comments/korlev/i_just_noticed_the_barbarian_survived_his/ revealed to have survived]], with his scar confirming that his appearance was ''after'' and not before getting stabbed. While no confirmation was given to the woman who was stabbed with him surviving too, the Goblin Lord's [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere tendency to flee]] when left with nothing given that the Barbarian slew the rest of his horde, the Barbarian appears to have succeeded in saving the women the Goblins captured after all.
