2	* The ending of [[http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Russian_Sleep_Experiment The Russian Sleep experiment]] has the commander of the project about to lock three researchers in the same room as the two remaining (and by now fully insane) subjects of the experiment when one of the researchers draws his gun, [[BoomHeadshot and shoots the commander right in the head before doing the same to one of the subjects]]. The researcher then angrily demands the final subject tell him [[WhatTheHellAreYou what the hell he is]]. When the subject gives a BreakingSpeech and HannibalLecture, about how [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters the subjects of the Sleep Experiment are the madness within all humans]], the researcher pauses... [[ShutUpHannibal then shoots the subject in the heart, killing him, and ending the Sleep Experiment for good]].
3	* The ending to [[https://www.creepypasta.com/psychosis/ "Psychosis"]]. The protagonist is locked up in a mental asylum due to his delusions about everyone in the world being PeoplePuppets for some sort of monster. He's ''right''. He was right ''all along''. What does he do? He ''keeps up the illusion of being insane''. He knows that he can't tell them he knows, because they'll take over his mind, but they can't drop the facade either. He has them trapped in a perpetual stalemate. In short, our protagonist ''outwitted an EldritchAbomination''.
4	* [[https://www.creepypasta.com/feline/ "Feline"]] is this for Jonesy, the cat from ''Film/{{Alien}}''. Tl;dr; following the infamous chest-burster scene in the first film, Jonesy decides to track down and fight the newborn xenomorph. The result; while he fails to kill it, he deals enough damage to force it to run, and successfully interrupts its feeding time, resulting in the xenomorph being much weaker than it should have been and thus allowing to be fought and beaten. Additionally, he survives the bout, making him one of the few creatures in the franchise to survive a direct encounter with the alien.
5	* The titular ending to "Twist Ending"--the famous horror writer turns out to be a fraud who not only plagiarized from another writer, but had said writer blacklisted so that he couldn't publish anything he wrote. The other writer gets revenge by adding a note to the book the man bought, revealing that he laced said book's pages with arsenic, which kills the plagiarist.
6	* [[http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Sarah_O%27Bannon Harold]] might be one of the wisest characters in Creepypasta for utterly shutting down Sarah O'Bannon.
7	* The ending to the story series [[https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/bhehv3/does_anyone_remember_channel_42/ "Does Anyone Remember Channel 42?"]] The titular Channel 42 is revealed to have a fatal BrownNote effect on it; a malevolent EldritchAbomination is housed inside of every image the station projects and its curse passes to anyone who sees it, consciously or subconsciously. As the story progresses, each victim ends up succumbing to the DespairEventHorizon and sharing the channel in the hopes of getting it to spread before dying...and then it ends up in the hands of an FBI agent named "Helsing", who ends up investigating the station's background, leading him to being infected as well. After his investigations, he realizes that the only true way to get rid of it is to kill it at its source--so he proceeds to write his final entry whilst calmly dousing the station with holy water and gasoline, planning to [[TakingYouWithMe burn the whole thing to the ground with himself inside it to stop the curse from ever spreading again]]. Even better, it's strongly implied to have ''worked'', as the Eldritch Abomination's main avatar, a MonsterClown named Stitches, [[VillainousBreakdown desperately tries and ultimately fails to talk him out of it]].
8	* In [[https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/dvy3g1/10_years_ago_i_survived_an_airplane_crash_what_i/ 10 Years ago I survived an airplane crash. After finding out that the crash was caused by [[AnimalisticAbomination a bat creature]] [[OhCrap that's currently hunting them,]] they immediately fortify the wreckage to the best of their abilities. They end up attempting to assault the creature's lair and [[RoaringRampageOfRescue save their missing friends,]] discovering the pilot along the way. He dies shortly afterwards but his [[ApocalypticLog recordings]] state that he and the copilot put up [[DoNotGoGentle quite a fight]] and determine that it's [[KillItWithFire weak to fire.]] Sadly, the attack goes poorly and the protagonist ends up the SoleSurvivor of the group, miraculously rescued by a search party. When it seems like the protagonist is going to conclude the story on a [[DownerEnding depressing note]], he reveals that he's preparing to find the creature's lair once more [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge to avenge his fellow passengers.]]
9	* The security guard in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6rOo5v6u1k&ab_channel=Dr.Creepen "The Mall Mommy"]] deserves credit for completely [[AvertedTrope averting]] AdultsAreUseless. When the titular monster disguises herself as the protagonist's own mother, he notices that [[SpottingTheThread her nail varnish is the wrong color]] and quickly informs the guard that it's not his mother. Rather than grabbing the IdiotBall like in most stories like this, [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome he demands to see her ID, and brushes off any of her attempts to deflect, even turning her threat to call the police back on her.]] The "Mall Mommy" [[KnowWhenToFoldEm is forced to cut her losses.]] The guard didn't even know she was a monster, he just knew the kid was scared and didn't want to go with her.
10	* [[https://www.creepypasta.com/fenter-woods/ "Fenter Woods"]] manages to subvert the usual DownerEnding in an awesome way. In short, the protagonist and his friend Jess were playing in the woods as kids, when she was suddenly taken by some hooded HumanoidAbomination. The protagonist returns to his town and tells everybody who, despite not believing his story, immediately set out to find her. They return hours later, having not found her, and the protagonist decides to take matters into his own hands. Once his parents are asleep, he sets out, armed with only his father's .44 Magnum and a flashlight. He manages to find its lair deep into the woods, full of junk collected from its previous victims and against all odds, Jess is still alive, albeit chained to a wall. After receiving his FirstKiss and shooting the chain, they manage to evade the creature by hiding behind a table, and the protagonist even manages to successfully shoot it in the leg. They manage to run all the way back to Fenter without getting caught, and the protagonist is thanked tremendously by Jess' parents.
