* His ECW matches with Wrestling/DeanMalenko are master classes in wrestling technique.
* Even though he lost, his match with Wrestling/ReyMysterioJr at WCW's Halloween Havoc 97 is considered a classic.
** Hell, any match he had with Mysterio is recommended watching. Those two had tremendous chemistry.
* Did you know that one of Eddie's greatest matches was against Rey Mysterio... and Wrestling/CMPunk? And that it was in front of a crowd of around 200 people at an indie show? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5EULLFRv9E&ab_channel=IWAMidsouthWrestling We're not even kidding]].
* In a no-DQ match against Wrestling/{{Edge|Wrestler}} on ''Wrestling/WWESmackDown'' in 2002, Eddie and Edge [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPasZ90HRog put on such an amazing show]] that ''both'' wrestlers got a standing ovation and name-cheer after it was over. In the original broadcast, Wrestling/{{WWE}} even went so far as to show the pop Eddie got ''as a defeated {{Heel}}'' as he walked back to the dressing room ''during the commercial break''. [=WWE=] considers it "one of the best matches in [=SmackDown=] history." Special mention goes to that insane Sunset Flip Powerbomb (at around 16:20 in the above video) off the top of the ladder. The crowds's reaction [[ShockingMoments says it all]].
* After Wrestling/ChrisBenoit won the 2004 Royal Rumble and chose to challenge for Raw's World Heavyweight Championship, a 15-man Royal Rumble was booked for the following [=SmackDown=] and despite being attacked backstage by an unknown assailant, [[{{Determinator}} Eddie still makes it to the match]] and eliminates Wrestling/KurtAngle to win and earn a WWE Title shot against Wrestling/BrockLesnar.
* Eddie's defeat of Brock Lesnar at ''Wrestling/{{No Way Out|WWE}} 2004'' to win the [[http://www.wrestling-titles.com/wwe/wwe-h.html WWE Championship]]. Brock at this point was, as he has always been, a dominant champion, steamrolling over legends and former champions like Wrestling/KurtAngle and Wrestling/TheUndertaker. Eddie was just some midcard mook who had never been a world title contender, and was literally a head shorter than Brock. But despite getting tossed like a ragdoll from pillar to post, Eddie refused to quit, and with assistance from Wrestling/{{Goldberg}} and using a little creative cheating, [[DefeatingTheUndefeatable Eddie beat the Beast]]. It was the culmination of a CareerResurrection that stands as one of the greatest in ProfessionalWrestling.
* His match with Kurt Angle at ''Wrestling/WrestleMania XX'' a month later. He outsmarted Angle by loosening a boot, allowing him to slip free of the Angle Lock and roll up a confused Angle for the win.
* Not just one for Eddie himself, per se, but at ''Wrestling/JudgmentDay 2004'', the crowd was white-hot for Eddie. Not only was he at perhaps the height of his popularity, but he was in the middle of a feud with the pseudo-racist conservative [[Wrestling/JohnBradshawLayfield JBL]], who had garnered heat by denigrating Eddie's Mexican heritage. ''Judgment Day'' that year was held in Los Angeles, and the sheer outpouring of rabid support dominated the entire card, where "Eddie!" chants were being yelled all night long. His match with [=JBL=] is also the infamous match where Eddie gets split ''wide'' open after a chairshot. [[note]]Eddie's attempt at a bladejob was particularly deep because he "got too excited."[[/note]] Although he got disqualified for using the title belt as a weapon, he ended the show standing tall after one of the most brutal brawls of the year, and looking all the more like a {{Determinator}} for it.
