!!In General
* The Player Character is this in general. Not only have they (possibly) won every single duel they have been challenged to (excusing the disadvantaged Wandless Duel against Merula in Year 7), but they have even won against older accomplished Wizards like Bill Weasley and adults like Rakepick and Madam Xeep. Although it's impossibly likely, the fact that the Player is able to get all Os on their O.W.L.s is a testament to their status as a BadassBookworm and TeenGenius.
** Not to mention the fact that the Player has cracked every single Cursed Vault at Hogwarts, something the ''adults'' had trouble doing. No wonder they're such a popular student after the shadow of Jacob's legacy had blown over.
** The fact that the Player seems so incredible is probably the reason why 'R' even wants them as a leader in the first place. As [[NightmareFuel horrifying as that thought might be]], it ''is'' kinda cool that an ultra-secret evil organization wants ''you'' as their leader.

!!Story
[[AC: Year 1]]
* If you choose to save Merula, your character will set her free from the ice using Flipendo. [[BreakTheHaughty ON Merula herself.]] Right before s/he does it, your character warns that "this may hurt a little", [[OhCrap causing Merula to panic]] right [[BlownAcrossTheRoom before she's knocked flat on her butt.]] It's even better due to the fact [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor she was demanding you help her (from a situation she got herself in by jinxing them]] InTheBack) [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor or else she'd curse you and your friends.]]
** It also shows that even if you choose a noble path, [[GoodIsNotSoft you're not soft]] [[GoodIsNotDumb or stupid.]] Merula has been causing problems and using Flipendo on you and your friends since the year started, and [[EntitledBitch then has the gall to demand you save her]]. Even if you choose to be merciful, you're also ''getting even.''
* Breaking out of the ice room. Alone, the player is unable to shatter more than a small portion of the ice blocking the door handle. If you bring Ben, he unleashes a powerful Flipendo that shatters all the remaining ice holding the door. If you bring Penny, she drinks a Strengthening Solution that gives her temporary SuperStrength, allowing her to force the door open.

[[AC: Year 2]]
* During your second year, Merula tries to frame you for stealing supplies from Snape's classroom and even manages to plant them next to your bed. Trying to claim ignorance will lead you to lose House Points. However, if your Knowledge skill is high enough, you can turn the tables on her by accusing her of framing you. She tries to bluff her way past the accusation, but Snape sees right through her lies because [[TheTell her eyes are darting from side to side]].
--> '''Snape:''' You are an absolutely atrocious liar, Particularly for a Slytherin. You will stay after class every day for the remainder of the year to clean and organize my supplies as punishment for attempting to frame <name>.
* If you take Ben with you to search for the vault at the end of Year 2, a frustrated [=McGonagall=] will be unable to deduct House Points because Ben (who's strongest in charms) covered your tracks so well.

[[AC: Year 3]]
* During the Vault search at the end of Year 3, Merula and Ismelda come to defeat the player and search the Vault themselves. Barnaby not only takes a curse meant for the player head-on with barely a whimper, but he also buys the player time by [[OffscreenMomentOfAwesome dueling Ismelda and Merula at the same time offscreen]]. They don't call him one of the most talented duelists for nothing.
** In Year 4, the player can also choose to duel Ismelda to avenge their ally.

[[AC: Year 4]]
* In Year 4 Chapter 15, Ben Copper (who is the red-cloaked figure who attacked you in Chapter 3 of the same year) is able to soundly best you in a duel to the death without even thinking about it (he may literally not have been able to think about it as he may have been Imperioused). Remember that you are a powerful and skilled wizard/witch and duelist yourself for your age (having bested many skilled duelists, including Barnaby Lee, the strongest duelist in your year, and Bill Weasley, another skilled duelist who is older than you and has more experience than you) and Ben trounced you and likely would have killed you if Madam Rakepick hadn't saved you. This proves Ben's nervousness and lack of self-confidence is his greatest weakness. If he could overcome that, he'd be an incredibly dangerous foe to fight against.

[[AC: Year 5]]
* When Rowan Khanna is mind-controlled into attacking you (or attempting to commit suicide if you choose to sacrifice Rowan), Ben takes him/her out with a single Flipendo, instantly knocking them out.
* In the Buried Vault, the Player ends up being forced to battle a dragon on their own. While the cards were stacked in their favor due to the curse Rakepick taught them, it is still a pretty incredible feat.
* The player character and friends taking on Rakepick all at once and defeating her with help from Snape's Garrotting Gas.
-->'''PC:''' [[AndThisIsFor That's for Merula and my brother and everyone you've hurt!]]
-->'''Penny:''' [[BigSisterInstinct And this is for Beatrice and the others trapped in portraits!]] You knew where the Vault was the whole time!
* When Jacob finally makes his appearance, it's revealed that he actually knows how to Apparate with little to no effort. He's only biologically a few years older than the Player at this point!

[[AC: Year 6]]
* In the wake of Rowan's murder, the whole atmosphere of [[AvengersAssemble everyone coming together as a team]], using all their knowledge, skill, and abilities for the express reason of ''[[RoaringRampageOfRevenge taking Rakepick down]]'' and sealing the final vault. Literally, everyone is using their know-how to help contribute:
** Badeea and Talbott making a map of the Black Lake. Badeea uses her impressive art skills to basically help geo-locate everyone and mark important parts of the lake while Talbott uses his [[{{Animorphism}} Animagus abilities]] to scout around.
** Ben, Cedric, and Diego training in dueling specifically. The entire Circle of Khanna is seen practicing this, including Bill who oversees the whole training.
** [[FluffyTamer Charlie, Liz, and Barnaby training creatures]] to defend against Grindylows.
** [[MasterOfDisguise André and Tonks with disguises]], Tonks even gets to showcase [[VoluntaryShapeshifting her awesome Metamorphagus abilities]]! Tulip helps with her clever ingenuity as someone who has orchestrated incredible pranks. And, of course, [[FriendInTheBlackMarket Jae and his helpful back alley connections]]. Fred & George even help a little!
** Even characters like Merula, Beatrice, and Ismelda lend a hand, studying curses and other spells that may help them.
** Although she joined late, Chiara joining as their resident [[CombatMedic Healer]].
-->'''Ben:''' For Rowan. For the Circle of Khanna.
* The fact that the Player was almost able to infiltrate the meeting of 'R' by pretending to be Rakepick. They were able to perfectly mimic Rakepick's mannerisms and personality and the members were none the wiser. If the real Rakepick hadn't shown up, they might've been able to get away with it.
** Big props also go to Tonks, Talbott, and Jae in this meeting. Tonks, under the guise of a Dark Witch with her Metamorphagus ability, ''immediately'' attacks the moment the Player gets attacked (no wonder Moody taps her as an Auror later). Talbott fearlessly attacks the Dark Wizard in his Animagus form and Jae is able to attack from underneath his invisibility cloak without revealing himself. Keep in mind that they are still ''all students'' at this point (around ages 16-17), so this is ''incredibly'' impressive.
*** Also, a little reminder. The Circle of Khanna is so competent that Mad-Eye, a ''professional'' Auror decides to depend on a group of teens to deal with 'R' rather than his own agents or the Hogwarts staff. If that isn't awesome then, who knows what is?
** And the big finish of both Mad-Eye Moody and Jacob [[RoaringRampageOfRescue Apparating into the meeting to back them all up]].
-->'''Mad-Eye Moody:''' [[PreAsskickingOneLiner We're here to end your dirty dealings, you nasty witch!]]
-->'''Jacob:''' '''''[[BigBrotherInstinct Now get away from my brother/sister!]]'''''
** To wrap it all up, Moody manages to snag one of the members, the same one that had tried to kill the Player earlier on.
* The Player's final duel with Rakepick in the Sunken Vault. Even the combined efforts of both Ben and Jacob (both powerful Wizards in their own right) couldn't even take her down. Merula was taken down despite her best efforts, leaving the Player engaging Rakepick in a 1-on-1 duel. And ''you win''.
** The Player casting ''Expelliramus'' [[QuickDraw faster]] than Rakepick was able to cast another spell is a callback to a moment earlier where the Player had told Jacob they were '[[LightningBruiser always the faster sibling]]', which is pretty awesome foreshadowing.
** Moral ambiguity aside, it does feel pretty awesome to lock Rakepick in the Cursed Vault and take revenge into your own hands, especially since [[ItsPersonal she had killed Rowan]], ''your'' best friend. On the other side, turning Rakepick over to the Ministry can also feel pretty satisfying.
*** Also a perfect example of LaserGuidedKarma: Rakepick wanted whatever was in the vaults and damn the consequences. An unattainable treasure and a lifetime of nightmares… BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor.
* The end party at the end of Year 6. The Cursed Vaults are ''finally'' dealt with! Rowan is avenged ''and'' the Player's relationship with Jacob is fixed! This ''is'' cause for celebration!
** Dumbledore calls the Player the 'Hero of Hogwarts', which is something they can proudly accept or [[HumbleHero politely decline]]. He also ''finally'' acknowledges the feats the Player has done throughout the years, finding and cracking all the Cursed Vaults and ''literally'' saving the school. [[DudeWheresMyRespect After being penalized about it for so long]], they ''finally'' get the thanks they deserve.

[[AC: Year 7]]
* Although Merula's behavior is quite suspicious, the fact that she was able to pick up Wandless Magic over the course of the summer is pretty impressive, considering that most witches and wizards aren't even able to perform wandless magic.
** Even ''more'' impressive is the ''Player'' picking up Wandless Magic in a ''record time''. They had only just been challenged by Merula to a duel and only had, at most, a few days to a week to pick it up. While they weren't able to defeat Merula in a duel, after being given a ''single'' piece of advice from her, they performed a perfect Knockback Jinx. Later on, they were even able to cast a strong enough Stupefy to knock out a Wampus Cat and can now comfortably cast without their wand.
* Jacob reveals that the Player had performed [[ChildProdigy Wandless Magic as a child]], having shattered both a tea set and a vase and on one other occasion, laughing a flower back to life.
* The Player holding their own in a duel against Zenith Xeep, who is several decades their elder. Not only did they win, but they [[DeliberateInjuryGambit forced her to make a hasty decision]] to drink her own memory deterioration potion to ensure that 'R's secrets do not get leaked because of her.

!!Sidequests
* The Halloween Event. The very first part has you, a First/Second Year student, face down ''Fenrir Greyback and his Werewolves.'' And win!
* During the Christmas event, you can pick who you're getting a present for. One of the options is Merula, who's otherwise all alone[[note]]She confirms that her parents are prisoners in Azkaban, so she has nobody to go home to for the holiday[[/note]]. If you choose Merula, [[ThePrankster Peeves]] offers to help you out by getting her a present, which turns out to be a songbook. Against all expectations, Merula likes it so much she [[WhenSheSmiles smiles]] and wishes you a Happy Christmas. Doubles as heartwarming, but the sheer unexpectedness of having a genuinely friendly interaction with her also slots it here for many players.
* In the ''Adventures of Cursebreaking'' sidequest (which occurs in Year 6), the Player faces yet again ''another'' dragon, but this time, it's much bigger and meaner than the other dragon (who was emancipated due to being trapped in a portrait). This time, the player defeats it without the use of a curse and instead uses a nonverbal Sleeping Charm to knock it out.
** On a small note, Charlie being able to survive in a dragon's cave while being injured during an entire night is pretty impressive. No wonder he's such a good Dragonologist later in life.
* At the end of the ''Rise of a Curse-Breaker'', Levi, the poor kid that has been struggling with the Levitation Charm since ''Year 1'' and the [[ButtMonkey butt of many jokes]], finally gets enough confidence due to the Player and Bill's help and effortlessly performs the charm, not on a lightweight feather, but a ''very heavy trunk full of treasure''. After seeing him struggle for a literal six years, it's awesome to finally see that he finally did it. He now doesn't mind being called the 'Leviosa Kid' because now it's something he's ''good'' at.
** In future Charms classes, Levi is ''no longer struggling''. Instead of tutoring him, the Player is now cheering him on as he ''demonstrates'' the Levitation Charm. You go, Levi!
** The fact that we sort of underestimated Levi due to his history of being bad with spells. Turns out, he's quite [[TheSmartGuy intelligent]] and loves puzzle-solving in his spare time. He was the one who cracked the Sphinx's four riddles, which is no easy feat. With enough time, he might make a great Curse-breaker yet.
