5	As with some other subforums, thread creation here is moderated. We approve new topics on the basis of quality, with an eye to keeping the total number of threads manageable. If we don't approve your topic right away, consider rewriting the opening post to explain more clearly what the problem is and what the evidence for its existence is.

7	The forum only accepts 50 open threads at any time. We have this restriction so that it doesn't get overwhelmed with topics. If you want to create a thread but the thread limit prevents you from doing so, consider contributing in one of the existing threads.

24	* The trope is not actually a trope as per Administrivia/NotATrope, because it’s actually Administrivia/PeopleSitOnChairs, a meme or any other reason given on that page that discourages such entries.
25	* The trope is a duplicate of an already existing one. In this case, it’s usually better to tag the inferior page (less wicks, inbounds, examples, worse name etc.)
26	* The page lacks examples, wicks and especially inbounds, when it has been around a long time and has been properly crosswicked (For pages that didn’t get crosswicked, see [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=1 here]]). Please do not make threads about recently launched pages, these go [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13544789560A75740100&page=1#1 here]].
27	* The examples (both on the page or in Administrivia/{{wick}}s) disagree with the description, i.e. the trope is misused. Note that you’ll almost certainly be asked to do a [[Administrivia/HowToDoAWickCheck wick check]] if you are claiming this.
28	* The trope’s name is ambiguous, like when it’s e.g. also the name of a work, sounds like a different trope or is a [[Administrivia/NoNewStockPhrases line of dialogue]]. Since we used to get many spurious threads for this, please make sure you’re familiar with the Administrivia/TropeRenamingGuidelines before making such a thread, especially the section on when ''not'' to make a thread.
29	* The page’s name is a {{snowclone\|s}} in violation of the guidelines spelled out at Administrivia/EverythingsWorseWithSnowclones. Again, keep in mind the guidelines spelled out in the Administrivia/TropeRenamingGuidelines.
30	* The page needs help in any other fashion, and the issue doesn’t have its own venue as under “first off” out above. Please do not make cleanup threads under this, these go to the Projects forums.
