* AuthorsSavingThrow: Mikazuchi's decision to defend the peace in the capital while leaving defending Anju to Oshtor felt like a reasonable way of handling his ConflictingLoyalty, which made him joining the the violent and unprovoked invasion of Nakoku feel bizarrely inconsistent. The anime would remove Mikazuchi from the invasion and have him abide by his word to protect the capital instead.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[https://youtu.be/IpLYp6OiDyk A Journey For You Alone: Forward]] may as well be HesBack in musical form as it begins playing during the final battle wherein [[spoiler:Haku returns from the dead, now wearing Hakuowlo's original mask and quickly getting used to his new godlike powers]] in order to turn the tide.

* ParanoiaFuel: The whole scenario of [[spoiler:Woshis]] being capable of granting any wish runs on this as in true JackassGenie fashion, the wishes might be fulfilled but they also comes with heavy and often ironic prices that can condemn you to a FateworseThanDeath. What truly puts it into this category is that you don't even have to state anything, it can be something as simple as a stray subconscious thought that can be read as you having made a wish.

* BreatherBoss: The last battle against the Yatanawarabe is considerably easier than prior bouts as not only are there only three of them with no reinforcements, they also lack many of their obnoxious support moves that made them such a pain to deal with in the past. And then there is the fact that Oshtor is in his Akuruturuka form, making the fight a complete joke.

* ThatOneBoss: Mikazuchi during the Nakoku . He shows up suddenly right at the end of a mission and will wreck whatever unit happened to be by the exit. He hits stupidly hard, has a humongous health pool has an almost scary ability to build Zeal incredibly quickly meaning he will be able to spam his EX move with impunity. And this on top of having the ability to inflict Daze with his regular attacks and damage anyone near him just by standing around. And to make matters even worse, his counterattack can summon Lightning Rods that deal ever more damage to those around them. And to rub salt on it all, the stage he is fought has a lot of long and narrow passageways making it difficult to move your units around. All this adds up to make him a far tougher boss than anything else up to this point.

* ThatOneAchievement: The Collector's Addition trophy requires you to obtain every single mission reward in the game, unfortunately a large number of these are locked behind RNG even though the missions themselves can take 40 minutes to complete meaning that if you don't get lucky you can easily spend as much time grinding for this achievement as you did on playing through the whole game.

* GameBreaker: The Oshtor and Fumirul Infinite Loop. If Fumirul's Zeal is at least 50, Oshtor can use a skill to give her 25 more Zeal and heal her, her Echo ability can be used to push her Zeal to 100, giving her an immediate free turn, allowing her to use her healing skill to give Oshtor an immediate next turn, followed by hitting a nearby enemy with her Final Strike. Equip her with Serendipity II and her Zeal will reset to 50, allowing repeated turns of this. Add the twins for their Co-Op Final with Fumirul (plus inflicting Curse with one of their chains) and those three units can easily handle any of the later game and Dream Arena maps by themselves.

* IronWoobie: Both Haku and Nekone stay strong through a lot of emotional turmoil.
** Haku has to imitate his deceased best friend and lie to the faces of everyone he loves, even watching Kuon leave because of his actions. He's constantly riddled with guilt as they mourn Haku and confide in "Oshtor". He's constantly outmatched by his opponents, yet has no choice but to fight to maintain his disguise. The man can't even ''[[spoiler:die]]'' in peace, as [[spoiler:Hakuowlo passes his godly powers onto him]]. Haku's sobbing breakdown with [[spoiler:Oshtor's mother]] shows how much it's ruining him, but he still never stops for the sake of Yamato.
** Nekone is wracked with the guilt of both [[ItsAllMyFault getting Oshtor killed and metaphorically killing Haku]]. She has to spend every day helping someone else pretend to be her beloved brother while she spends every night with nightmares. Then the more Haku [[BecomingTheMask becomes Oshtor]] the more confused she feels about just [[ReplacementGoldfish replacing him]], emotionally hurting her further. She spends the game watching Haku push himself closer and closer to the brink knowing there's nothing she can do about it '''again'''. And then he ultimately [[spoiler:[[HeroicPROD kills himself the exact same way as Oshtor]]]]. Despite ''[[TraumaCongaLine all of that]]'', she still manages to [[spoiler:see Haku off with a smile.]]
