* ScrappyMechanic: Last Words still being mapped to A+C is a huge determent. Since A is mapped to switching between the master and the slave, more often then not, you'll end up accidentally switching to your slave. In turn, this wastes a chunk of your Occult meter, which you'll have to fill back up just to try again. That said it is possible to map a button to A+C separately, negating this issue somewhat.

* ThatOneLevel: Jo'on and Shion's scenario is hard for one specific reason: [[LevelDrain you have no slave]]. Pressing the button does nothing but waste your Occult meter. This means you aren't able to convert white health to green health like you normally would, giving you no way to heal yourself.

Pressing the button does nothing but waste only makes Shion releases a small burst of curses, which still wastes your Occult meter. This means you aren't able to convert white health to green health like you normally would, giving you no way to heal yourself.

* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: Despite the gameplay being largely the same from ''Urban Legend of Limbo'', of which was quite controversial, the game fixed most of its issues. Namely, it replaced the [=RNG=]-based Occult Ball system with a simple meter that's filled by stringing combos. This rewards players for thier skill rather than having to rely solely on luck.

I'll add more tropes in a little bit

* TranslationTrainwreck: The English subtitles that were added to the Steam release has this in spades. Not only are there a few cases of BlindIdiotTranslation, but there's also things like grammatical errors, typos, and ''tons'' of broken English. On top of that, it only translates the dialogue, leaving things like spell cards and music tracks untouched. Most fans just patch the game with the FanTranslation instead.
