*** Menasor's voice wouldn't be so bad for one of the individual Stunticons, but it's not given any sort of deepening effect when they're combined, making the giant evil robot sound like a punk teenager. On the other hand, it's hilarious whenever he starts yelling, because it sounds like he's raging at a video game.

Added DiffLines:

* BaseBreakingCharacter: A lot of fans take plenty of issue with Alpha Bravo and Offroad solely due to them replacing Slingshot and Wildrider, respectively. Others, however, actually take note of their positive qualities, and they make excellent fodder for fan-characterization.
* BrokenBase:
** The Dead End mold is either praised for it's versatility or bashed by fans getting sick and tired of seeing the damn thing for the umpteenth time (the mold has been used for 16 toys, including the original).
** The Hot Spot mold has been largely praised, but fans still go back and forth over whether the improvements to the robot mode brought by Onslaught was worth sacrificing the original version's more believable vehicle mode.

Added DiffLines:

** Rook has been praised for his excellent design and engineering, and the fact that he didn't replace Groove was a positive for many. It also helps that the mold has incredible versatility spread across 2 other drastic base variations; an offroad buggy used by Swindle and Hound and a drill tank variation completely bespoke to Takara's version of Technobot Nosecone.

!! For the Toyline:
* EnsembleDarkHorse:
** The Combiner Wars Silverbolt mold has been widely praised for making not only one of the most stable combiner torsos, but also one of the most versatile and playable toys in the line. For reference, the sculpt also has two other base variations as Cyclonus and Scattershot.
* TheScrappy: While fandom reception has been mixed over all of the toys, it's universally agreed that the voyager class semi truck mold used by Optimus Prime and Motormaster is the weakest of all the torso units by far, as aside from overly bulky proportions the toys are notoriously unstable when combined, with the shoulders constantly disconnecting and the waist section being far too prone to separation when posing is even attempted. And if that wasn't enough, the earliest releases of the mold had a design flaw that made both the toys themselves and the resulting combiners unable to stand naturally, forcing either a wider and squatter position or knocking knees in combined form.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: This exchange from Homecoming:
--> Megatron: So, what's say we just go in, kill everyone in the council, destroy the Enigma, and call it a day?\\
Windblade: We could probably pull it off now with the three of us.\\
Optimus Prime: No. We are here to reason with them.\\
Megatron: Oh, I love this plan! In no way will it end in bloodshed or tears.

** Opinions on Prowl are split. There are those who take Prowl's actions as a KnightTemplar and feel that he's gone to far into villainy at this point, and those who see him as a WellIntentionedExtremist, providing an additional grey area to the uniting of Caminus and Cybertron, with his more extreme actions being understandable because of the Combiner process messing with his head. In the other camp, people are annoyed at Prowl's decision making being impeded, as it's a convenient excuse in case Prowl does anything too bad, and some feel that the whole "Prowl's JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope because of mind alteration" is just retreading ground from RID.

* QuestionableCasting: There was pre-release backlash to the news that Jon Bailey would be portraying Optimus Prime as he is known mainly for comedic roles. This died down once the series came out and many agreed that he did a very good job with the role.

Moving to Trivia

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** The Collected edition of the event corrects a lot of the errors, giving Blades and Streetwise their correct models, keeping green, removing Scrapper, etc. Even though some errors remain like still switches his colors from panel to panel, it is a marked improvement over the weekly issues.
** Betatron was a polarizing figure, as many saw him as a ReplacementScrappy for Computron (different name, lackluster color scheme, lack of new tooling on the combiner mode and no other Technobots seeing a release). However just as the line drew to a close, Takara and Hasbro revealed Computron, which gave much more personality to Scattershot and finally gave the Technobots figures. While the sheer differences in each of their Computrons will fuel the [=HasTak=] FandomRivalry for years to come, everyone agrees that they're a massive step up from Betatron. John Warden, a design manager at Hasbro, credited the fan response in getting them to go the extra mile for Computron.
-->"Fans, you asked for it, we listened; here's Computron"

* EnsembleDarkhorse: The show's depiction of Megatron has received surprising acclaim for being a snarky yet intriguing BoisterousBruiser who gets some the best lines. Many have cited him as one of its only saving graces. Creator/JasonMarnocha's performance as the character is also praised, and it's likely the reason why he's one of the few actors to carry over to the WebAnimation/TheTransformersTitansReturn series while almost everybody else was replaced.

* BileFascination: The show has become quite infamous among the fandom with many (including Wiki/TFWikiDotNet) considering it to be even worse than the already poorly-received Anime/TransformersEnergon. It isn't hard to want to find out why.
