[[spoiler: It wasn't really him in the early stages though -- although it's doubtful Herman was originally scripted to be in his place when the first few comics were created]]. Finally, he could very well be the ArchEnemy to not one, not two, but ''four'' different main characters at least. He'd be the TokenEvilTeammate if he was technically a part of the team.
