Added DiffLines:

* LoveToHate: Grant Monarich is the most gleefully hateable character in the story, and his sheer pettiness and surprising intelligence make him an unexpected yet enjoyable antagonist to Inigo.

* EvilIsCool:
** Kotoba Kozuki is a harsh tyrant, but she’s a ''badass'' one, too, with her commanding presence and stoic IronLady personality. It helps that once she enters a battle, she is clearly immensely powerful, taking only the combined efforts of Inigo, Makoto and Scarlett to defeat her by a hair. Her genuine respect for the heroes, [[TheChessmaster surprising planning capabilities]] and [[GracefulLoser graceful acceptance of her defeat]] only add to this.
** [[spoiler:Iago Amino, after betraying Inigo. We always knew he was a powerful, crazy genius, but him turning out to be a powerful, crazy, ''evil'' genius launches him right into this trope, especially helped by his humorous hammy antics and [[VillainHasAPoint genuinely having a good point in a roundabout way]] keeping him likeable even after his heel-turn.]]

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Much of Inigo's odd behaviour makes sense if you interpret him as a high-functioning autistic. Not only is he often caught talking to himself, he can often be inconsiderate of the feelings of others. It would explain his [[BrutalHonesty bluntness]], his [[HatesBeingTouched aversion to contact]], and his [[CannotSpitItOut difficulty in expressing his positive feelings]], too.

** [[TheHeavy Kotoba]] crosses it when [[spoiler:she is revealed to have been torturing Iago for information. It is the first onscreen display of her crimes, and the first time the reader gets the feeling that [[HeWhoFightsMonsters she's becoming as bad as Amino]].]]
