* SoOkayItsAverage: The film has received largely mixed to negative reviews from critics, with a [[https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_nun_2018 29%]] rating on Website/RottenTomatoes. Critics (although some viewers [[CriticalBacklash find it to be genuinely good]]) have stated that while the film isn't without its moments and has quite a few great performances, it's hampered by wasting interesting plots and focusing on scares with few lighter moments like what ''Film/TheConjuring'' and ''Film/TheConjuringII'' did.
