* AssPull: Eartha learns Cindy is hiding at her grandmother's house after overhearing her mother come to that realization. Eartha seems to be forgetting she's the one who told Cindy about her grandmother's house, and to go there, in the first place!

"Idiot Plot" is now Flame Bait.

* IdiotPlot: If you think about it, this WHOLE heap of chaos would've been pointless and NOT been a thing had Grandpa not hidden the will and given it to Cindy or the Grandma. Grandpa could've also put Cindy into the care of grandma and seen that the Widow was an abusive mother but for some astronomical reason all of this had to transpire. Is the Widow the real villain here for being abusive and sabotaging everyone, or is it grandpa for starting all of this?

** If Cindy's IWantSong would be sung by a far less beautiful girl, it could be a heartwrenching Tearjerker. But it's hard to take this scene seriously, when a girl like Cindy complains about being an "ugly duckling."

** It's impossible to listen to this verse of Phillippe's song: "Where did she come from, where did she go?" without expecting him to start singing about Cotton Eye Joe.

* TheWoobie: There might need to be a checklist for ALL of the times and ALL of the features that make Cindy the ultimate fairytale woobie.

* JerkassWoobie: Downplayed and more subtle with The Widow. Though the Widow is obviously the wicked stepmother trope and is an unlikable villain, she wants the will because she wants to still live a stable life with her daughters. Once the will is given to Cindy, she basically states that her daughters and herself will move into a life of poverty and hardship, making survival more difficult. So she does have some sort of understandable motive.

Character Alignment is only to be used in works where it is canonical, and only for characters who have alignments in-story.

* ChaoticNeutral: Eartha, the slim stepsister, has both her cruel and kind moments, but her primary goal (before meeting Pinocchio) seems to be to sow all the chaos she can for her own amusement. She is good-leaning, showing a dislike for her mother and friendliness toward Cindy on several occasions.

** This verse from Phillippe's song: "Where did she come from, where did she go?" almost makes it seem as if he's about to sing about Cotton Eye Joe.
