Some major cleanup in the name of Repair Dont Respond. It seems to me that the ending is a bit of Broken Base, which I've tried to reconcile, based on the examples and some reviews I've read.

* AssPull: The ending with the . It had little foreshadowing, zero connection to the plot, came out of nowhere, went nowhere, and was completely unexplained. Not even open to interpretation, just a blank page. This ending was the main factor that caused a lot of people to hate the movie.
** There are actually many hints of varying subtlety and much foreshadowing to the ending and in the film, they just didn't make it in-your-face obvious. As for a connection to the plot... it is the plot, and is in itself the explanation for all the hanging threads in the story (so how can it go nowhere? It's literally the resolution to every plot hook). Most of the above criticism makes no sense.
** Though how the footage was edited is a rather blatant plot-hole.

film's more subtle plot points, while others find it so sudden and unexpected that it feels more like an AssPull.

** You could say the whole ending is a BigLippedAlligatorMoment.
** This is somewhat debatable as there were subtle hints to in the film. They just didn't make it in-your-face obvious.
