* IdiotBall: Deathstroke has been accused of holding one when he tries to capture Dick Grayson, arguably the most dangerous Titan, by jumping through a window and fighting him hand-to-hand, instead of setting a clever trap of some kind like he did to all the other Titans. Of course, if Deathstroke ''had'' captured Dick in an ingenuous stratagem, then the book would have ended right there.

* IdiotPlot: Deathstroke knows that, even if he has no powers, Robin is the most dangerous Titan, because of his sharp strategic mind. He said it himself. He knew his secret identity and had the element of surprise. And, besides, being intelligent, Deathstroke has military training. Why didn't he set a trap for him, like with all the others? By making a dramatic super window jump at his home, he reveals him the whole thing, and gave him the chance to understand that he had to retreat and organize a contingency plan. A chance that Starfire or Cyborg may not have taken, but Robin surely would, as he did. If he set traps for everybody, including Robin, he would have captured the whole team, and the ending may have likely been very different.
** Two more layers of stupid:
*** 1. If Deathstroke wanted to make sure he got Robin himself, likely the only reason he would do something as stupid as the above, he could've easily just posed as something (delivery man, Jehovah's witness, etc) and then drugged Robin before he had a chance to react, rather than a frontal assault he has a much better chance of escaping.
*** 2. Not trying to find Robin afterwords. Doing so gave Dick all the time he needed to connect the dots instead of waiting at one of his friends places or the Titans Tower for him to show up and then grabbing him there.

When the time comes to betray the Titans, they try to reason with her and fail, and she dies while trying to kill them, destroyed by her own powers. The story becomes quite {{Anvilicious}} at how evil she is. She's explicitly called evil, the {{Narrator}} informs us that she's both completely insane and completely responsible for her actions (a contradiction in terms), even Slade later says [[EvenEvilHasStandards her evil scared even him.]] Her death is essentially a teen suicide (in a series that was about, and originally intended for, teens) where everything is being blamed on the teen. And as for Slade, her boss and lover, [[DoubleStandard the man]] who's decades older than her, a multiple murderer, who created the EvilPlan she was following, whose own stated intentions with that plan was to murder all the Titans, he is (comparatively speaking) EasilyForgiven by the Titans afterwards, and is treated by Creator/DCComics as an AntiHero for the next several years. He's even treated as a ''father figure'' by several of the Titans he was trying to kill! In 2003, Changeling was back to calling out Slade for his part in hurting Terra. In the modern 2010s, their relationship would be called a form of grooming, and in both the DTV adaptation and ''ComicBook/DeathstrokeRebirth'', it is flat-out portrayed as such.

** Seeking revenge on others, even if they deserve it, will only eat up the person on the inside and cause long-term harm. Deathstroke took the contract to avenge his son, but in the end it gets the Titans and his family gunning for him. Meanwhile Changeling, in a bid to get revenge on Slade, sabotages the trial that would have gotten Deathstroke convicted, damages the Titans' credibility, and tries to murder him several times. The Titans try to help him through his grief, but Changeling doesn't want help; he wants revenge. Deathstroke manages to talk him down about how they're NotSoDifferent because Changeling ultimately isn't a killer and wants to destroy Deathstroke based on a lie that Terra was a good person.

** When Slade was talking down Changeling from killing him, was he counting on the fact that Changeling is a hero and wouldn't commit cold-blooded murder on a man who wouldn't put up a defense? Or was he truly tired from seeing that his efforts to avenge Grant amounted to AllForNothing and turned his son Jericho and Adeline against him?
** Slade while talking to Changeling admits that he never saw himself as a villain. Is he defending his viewpoint, or is it a HeelRealization on seeing the consequences of his actions?
** Terra afterwards may or may not have been resurrected, since her grave is empty and her successor is a dead ringer for her. The second Terra is also a good person. Did she block out the memories because IHatePastMe? Or were the means used to revive her less than reliable and caused LaserGuidedAmnesia.

If Deathstroke wanted to make sure he got Robin himself, likely the only reason he would do someting as stupid as the above, he could've easily just posed as some sort of delievery man jehovas witness etc and then drugged robin before he had a chance to react rather than a frontal assault he has a much better chance of escaping.
