* TransAudienceInterpretation: Several viewers have commented on how Pomni's reaction to her new environment, specifically the scene where she first sees herself in a full-body mirror, could draw parallels with a transgender individual who feels trapped in their own skin and unempathetic society, desperately searching for an escape and being forced to feign joviality in their situation despite their internal dysphoria. Others have interpreted the mirror scene more positively, as though she was taken by her new appearance after transitioning into a new body. ** Is Caine genuinely concerned for the performers' safety and well-being? Or is all of his kindness stemming from a desire to keep his favorite toys from breaking? Caine's own agency in the situation is also a hotbed of theorycraft and analysis after the pilot, as there are several allusions to the idea he may be just as trapped and clueless as the performers throughout the video, with the possibility of everything he does in the Circus being to keep things level in the confined ways he can operate.
** Did Jax really leave centipedes in Ragatha's room or is he only saying he did to [[ParanoiaGambit make her paranoid]] for his own amusement? His comment after she calls him out on this does little to clear up the ambiguity.

Is he some combination of the two, being insane but also genuinely resourceful? Is his insanity half-genuine and half-feigned? Is he trying to be CrazySane? What was his relationship with the Queenie, Black Queen chess piece person that ''used'' to be part of the cast too?
** Ragatha isn't above this, either:
*** Is she looking away from Pomni near the end of the pilot because she's upset that she chose an exit over getting Caine, or does she still feel guilty that Pomni's first day went down horribly and doesn't blame her, if not both? Given how she's (mostly) friendly towards someone like Jax in spite of him being a worse person overall, the second one could be plausible. "Candy Carrier Chaos" seems to imply it's a mix of both, though, as Ragatha passive-aggressively points out how Pomni abandoned her for the exit, but afterwards is still genuinely kind to her and constantly worries for her safety.
*** Also, she was the first to suggest to check on Kaufmo. Was it out of genuine concern for the clown, or did she already know that he abstracted, and [[TheOnlyWayTheyWillLearn think that giving Pomni a wake-up call about the real dangers of the Digital Circus]] would be better than a warming-up wacky adventure?

** Gummigoo was popular ever since his brief teaser but his popularity skyrocketed with the release of Episode 2, leading many people to be outright devastated when [[spoiler:Caine snaps him seemingly out of existence at the end, simply due to his designation as an NPC.]]

** Gummigoo is quickly becoming one of the fandom's most beloved characters [[spoiler:and they are all traumatized by his sudden death]].

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Fans of Zooble often consider them to have been underutilized in the pilot. While their DeadpanSnarker attitude and BrutalHonesty are made clear from the outset, they're then abducted by the Gloinks and don't get to do anything for the rest of the episode. Meanwhile, Pomni and Ragatha get to deal with Kaufmo, and Jax, Gangle, and Kinger get to deal with the Gloink Queen, leaving Zooble high and dry on having any plot importance despite their standout personality. They don't fare any better in the second episode, as they sit out the entire adventure in an attempt to hide from Caine, only truly showing up for [[spoiler:Kaufmo's funeral]] at the end.
