* StuckInTheirShadow: While every other character has a lot of attention, the fandom almost ''never'' acknowledges Bulbasaur's existence due to [[NervousWreck his whiny behavior]] or him not being as interesting as the other Pokémon in the series. Even ''Cyndaquil'' is more acknowledged than him!

* MemeticMutation: Bulbasaur car[[labelnote:Explanation]] The scene from ''Lavender Town: The Untold Story'' where [[spoiler: Bulbasaur gets [[WhatADrag dragged]] while chained to the Nidos' car]] apparently left its target audience and made its way to Platform/TikTok, where a ''[[{{Understatement}} lot]]'' of people saw that clip, even (and mainly) those who were unaware of the ''Starters'' series, whom did not understand the context. It's also [[NeverLiveItDown the only thing the fandom talks about when they want to talk about Bulbasaur]], due to [[TheScrappy his obscurity in the fandom]]. Let's just be happy the official Pokémon company didn't see that.[[/labelnote]]

** Whenever the fandom wants to talk about Bulbasaur ([[TheScrappy which they NEVER do]]), they usually talk about that scene in ''Lavender Town: The Untold Story'' where he is [[spoiler: [[WhatADrag dragged]] while chained to the back of the Nidos' car.]]
* TheScrappy: The fandom almost ''never'' acknowlages Bulbasaur's existence due to [[NervousWreck his whiny behavior]], him not being as interesting as the other Pokémon in the series, or overall just being a worthless NPC who is only there to complain and whine about everything going on around him. You'd be hard-pressed to find ''anyone'' who has him as their #1 favorite in the series.

* NauseaFuel: [[spoiler: The Ditto disguising as a critically-injured Cyndaquil]] in ''Ditto Disaster''. Marked with [[spoiler: graphically-drawn entrails, covered in blood and more, this one's ''bound'' to make you grossed out. ''And'' it's [[{{Gorn}} graphic as hell]], even for WordOfGod's standards. It might just be one of the most disturbing scenes in the entire series.]]

** Considering [[spoiler: the Nidos ''[[MoralEventHorizon forced Nidorina to eat their organs when they were still alive]]'', just imagine what they could've done with ''Bulbasaur'' if he wasn't rescued...]]
** Bulbasaur is a BrokenBird. The most normal we've seen of him was in ''Ditto Disaster''/''A Christmas Thing'', which was confirmed to be non-canon, meaning that Bulbasaur has possibly been traumatized for Arceus knows how long. [[TheWoobie He needs a hug.]]
** The episode ''Wild Oranberries'' is KinderAndCleaner thanks to the strict [=YouTube=] rules. Considering the episode before it, ''Rare Candy'', was [[NightmareFuel disturbing as hell]], there's a chance that ''Wild Oranberries'' could've played out ''awfully'' if the [=YouTube=] rules didn't exist.
* FridgeLogic: [[spoiler: Nidoking and Nidoqueen were probably chosen as the antagonists]] for ''Lavender Town: The Untold Story'' because [[spoiler: the first four letters of their names, "Nido", rhyme with... [[PaedoHunt yeah, we'll leave you to figure this out on your own]]. Doubles as FridgeHorror because of their concerning behavior in the episode.]]
