If we were to assume that he is a kid just like Andy, is he InnocentlyInsensitive and thus not know how rude, self-centered and sadistic his actions and behavior can be, or is he just an asshole whose mean-spiritedness is [[ItAmusedMe motivated out of boredom]]?

** Rodney. You'll either find him funny due to his {{Jerkass}}, [[TheDitz ditzy]] tendencies and frequency to torment [[ButtMonkey Mr. J]], or think he's an utterly obnoxious, idiotic, annoying, sadistic dick who deserves to suffer and should not have Andy on his side.
** Mr. J. Some people think he's the show's ultimate [[TheWoobie woobie]] who does not deserve the abuse he receives from Rodney nor his sudden bad luck, yet others find it amusingly hilarious. In other words, he's either a [[TheWoobie sympathetic]] ButtMonkey or a [[TheChewToy Chew Toy]], depending on how you view him.

They're exceptionally and ''unrepentantly'' rude to Andy and Rodney, they harass and torment them ForTheEvulz, and very rarely do they ever show any PetTheDog moments (and even when they do [[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk they're usually subverted in one way or another]]).

* ToyShip: Andy and Martha,

** Mr. Johnson. He has to suffer the living Hell that his {{Jerkass}} pet, Rodney, makes his life, as well as his own bad luck.
** Oscar. His parents are so overprotective of him that they won't let him do pretty much anything short of breathing because they're too worried about his well-being. It often interferes with his ability to have a social life.
